Surya Mandala Stotra is a hymn dedicated to Lord Surya, the Hindu deity of the sun. The hymn is believed to have been composed by Sage Agastya and is considered to be very powerful in invoking the blessings and protection of Lord Surya.
There are many legends associated with Surya Mandala Stotra. Here are a few:
According to one legend, Sage Agastya was once on his way to perform a yajna (sacred ritual) when he was confronted by a group of demons who wanted to disrupt the ritual. The sage prayed to Lord Surya for protection, and the deity appeared before him and blessed him with the Surya Mandala Stotra. The sage recited the hymn, and the demons were defeated.
Another legend tells of King Dasharatha, the father of Lord Rama, who was suffering from a curse that prevented him from having children. He prayed to Lord Surya for a remedy, and the deity appeared before him and advised him to recite the Surya Mandala Stotra. The king followed the advice and was eventually blessed with four sons, including Lord Rama.
It is also believed that reciting the Surya Mandala Stotra daily can bring immense benefits and blessings from Lord Surya.
