i decided to watch this a little and it's still the same obvious reason plus some back stories. it's expensive and hard to produce.

but then it gave me something to think about.

chinese stealth fighters.

and whether su57 is stealth enough.

by now, some of you who follow me, might get a sense on how much i rely on reasoning or rationalization to second guess on things.

however, i do draw a line in just totally wild reasoning-the trick is figure out where that line is.

and when i have no clear line, i just won't guess on it much except maybe apply the next logical thinking which is might the chinese be having the same situation as the russians?

and if they're really not much of stealth, the last thing you want to do is to parade it around to give clues to radar signatures.

really, no mocking here. look at how israel just did not waste time to make real use of f35. israel was not going to fly around naked and just boast stealth capability.

and so getting back to the chinese stealth fighter. chinese made more of them than su57. what if they just really suck? what if they're just trying to hide it in formation with non-stealth fighters to test it?

The funniest thing about modern fighter aircraft is how they’ve more or less evolved into just flying SAMs. Datalink technology guides stealth jet missiles into targets far beyond their radar’s capabilities to strike targets without them even knowing they’re being targeted. That’s a SAM with extra steps. It’s no longer about dog fighting and IR missile lock, but who can avoid being targeted first, which currently the USA leads in the capabilities due to being able to consistently fund construction of stealth aircraft.

Russia sure as fuck ain’t mass producing SU57s and even if they were I doubt they would have the functionality, based on the data we’re getting from Ukraine.

China gets a lot of their tech by stealing from competitors, like Russia and USA, but we already know that China suffers the same corruption and quality issues that Russia does, probably even worse.

Hypersonic missiles do no close the gap and even with China’s military spending increasing, that does not mean it’s quality is increasing. Neither side is even close to being able to compete militarily with the USA and will continue to rely on nukes for defense for many decades.
