okay i love pavitr prabhakar as yall might have noticed by now
but how the hell does he get time to spiderman around at the age of 15-16? does he not have board exams?
idc how smart yall are, he definitely cannot survive grade 10 and the results by doing public service
and if he truly is smart, then he should know to study like 6 hours a day after school bc his family is definitely not letting him have anything less than a 95 (who is letting this dude go out everyday wo asking him where why how when, with whom, in a city that regularly gets attacked) (on a separate note: can they be my guardian)
none of this makes sense unless he is in grade 11 (which is ofc fine, everyone knows grade 11 slacks off like they got govt jobs)

Okay, here's an unrequested update.
The autoimmune disease is linked to my problematic/swollen knee. The doctor prescribed me a specific medicine to take for the next four months. If the med won't work, he will change it. As for now, the knee hurts and the area around another joint, in my right hand, got swollen. It hurts too. He clearly said that this illness won't go away, it's chronic and it may be degenerative, if I'm not consistent with the meds. Deep down I am scared as shit. All my friends are on vacation, living their life, buying houses and living with their halves, but I am stuck here and I keep worrying about my body. No 30 year old should worry aboud their body. I keep thinking about the F. Scott Fitzgerald quote that goes like: "no one really knows how much space they occupy in other people's lives".
As per my writing: I have been writing journalism a lot, international politics have been a major interest of mine lately. I am focusing on the Ukraine war and the Russian govt moves and decisions and on anything related to the upcoming U.S. 2024 elections. I haven't written fiction in a while, but I have cone to the conclusion that some of the short stories thar are in my latest book LEI are the best thing I've ever written. The closeness with the characters of this book is something strange, something I probably have never experienced before. Right now I am studying to take the exam needed to enter the Italian Association of Journalists. I care about this very much.
I have submitted my film L FOR LOVE to around 10 festivals, received one NO, and am waiting for feedback.
I have strangely been reading a lot - strangely because my focusing skills have gone to shit the moment I started taking psychiatric meds. I plan to read a lot about World War II, both fiction and historical, political books, and thrillers. I have been enjoying reading in my mother tongue very very much.
Last but not least, I am trying to take one day at a time, even if it feels difficult. Do you have any advice about taking life little by little? Do you have any routine that allows you to shush the inner chaos?

Bakbak time kyunki mein dukhi chiz hu aur merese expectations rakhna bakwas kaam hai
So I had my bnat class after a month due to shifting and stuff. And ma'am told me about a central govt programme which she wanted me to do as it will give me a good exposure. My mother heard her say.
I tell you I wasn't sad that I was missing out this. I know once I crack neet I am going to give everything to dance and be that dancer my six year old self dreamt of
What did my mom do?
Bring out the same ramayan of how I destroyed myself, my studies went in depression. Idk if I ever was in depression but I have heard her say it so many times that I think now I did have depression and then maybe still have it.
She brought out my friends who are going to abroad and other colleges saying ki sab set hogye your friend is now going to uk. Paisa bhi hai aur uska profession bhi se. Tum kahi ke nahi
Thanks mum. I love you.
I am so fucking tired. I am never going to be enough right I am so sorry I could never be like my friends, could not get neet, wasted myself and everything. I am so fucking sorry.
I was completely okay. Now I am in my online chem class. I was excited to do chem and solve question to do better in my tests
But what happened? I ak crying, my head is aching
I am not sad about missing on my show but I am sad about her repeating all that again. I want to move on. I know what being a dancer looks like and the amont of work involved. I know there is a lot of lobby to get shows and if you aren't backed by money and a teacher with connections it's difficult to get ahead with a dancing career.
It is true that I decided to be a dancer later in my life like around 16 when I discovered about myself but i am from a middle class family. I know that for us we need to have a stable job and then follow our passions and later lucky ones makes a profession out of it.
Here I know my dad's money, my family expectations every thing is at a goddamn stake. My brother can get into a private engineering college but that is not how medical will work for me.
But fuck this shit. I am not 14. I may have depression like my mother says but yeah I still grew myself from my self hurting self loathing phase. I will get through that exam get a seat make my parents finally live in peace and go work hard for dance

How was your exam bhay
hi. so uhm, Im gonna rant. Well first of all to answer your question, the exam got cancelled because server sucked ass but I still did what i could incase it doesn't. It was super easy- and if the nta decides not to retake, i'm still getting in college.
furthermore- I really, really hate my, the people who live w me. I don't like calling them "family" or "p*rents" anymore. I only like my brother but that fucker is doing mba in bihar. Now, tell me, what were your dreams when you were 15? Small girl, thinking what job she would get. what college she should go. maybe a celebrity crush, right?
that was the first time i thought about k*lling my father. and no he didn't do anything bad to me, but all of it was mental abuse. My mom, in mid 2021, was extremely sick. It was the peak of covid and sooner or later she caught it too. Of course bhaiya and papa did all they could- and thankfully we did get hospital and she was admitted. 2 days later my brother caught covid. they are better now, mom and i are going out tomorrow to buy her some hair colour if anyone's wondering.
but imagine so much tension on a teen 17 yo. well my father always thinks that we did nothing and only he suffered through it. He wants all of us have to same passwords so he can access any of our- mail or any account on his wish. He yelled at me in a fucking moving metro in delhi on 7 pm because i was texting a guy from school. He has confiscated my phone thrice now for no fucking reason. like. in his eyes texting a friend Is a reason, apparently. Hell, he told me to "sit in sunlight in school" because my doctor said i am extremely sick and need vitamin d. you know why? because the fucking house he bought has no ventilation. and dude, lack of sunlight cause some real shit to brain. my mom got migraine in 2016 because of it.
i just want to talk my girlfriend tani and i had to make a whole plan w her that whom she can call so that we can pretend talking about college and i get to talk to her. last time he took my phone and when i got it back, i was texting a friend of mine. He said "why do u have to talk to anyone". My first dream was to move out of this fucking house. and no, my mom doesn't defend me. Instead her only god and world is her dear husband who has never done anything wrong. and let me tell you- they both will rot alone when old because they haven't done any less shit to my bhaiya. i wish they will rot alone. im crying so much i hate them alot. This one time i got hurt and i was crying because it just hurt so fkn much- my thumb got trapped somewhere and it was bleeding and he had the audacity to say "you just pretend so that you dont have to ever work" and when i said that to my mom she denied accepting it.
everytime he goes out i wish he gets in an accident. or i do. like, fr. Anyways i think let's see when will the govt release new dates or smth- also i still have second slot to attend for business studied- so yeah i think it's cool if i get to attend and its still cool if i dont :)

hello hello! i'm starting my undergrad in a few months double majoring in psych and govt/legal studies and i plan to go to law school in the future, so i was wondering: what are the best ways to prepare for the lsat early, and what did you do in undergrad that prepared you best for law school?
Ooh, I'm so excited for you! That sounds like an amazing double major, awesome choice!
Undergrad:
This is a great chance to practice discipline! In undergrad (especially general education classes), a lot of people coast by without really doing the readings. But law school involves a ton of readings each week. Okay...some people still don't do the readings, even in law school. ;) But it sounds like you're very committed and serious, so you seem like the kind of student who will want to do the readings (at least for the law school classes that matter to you) so that you can get the most out of class. A great way to practice that is to practice the discipline of reading in undergrad - even when no one else bothers.
And if you need another incentive to read: remember that the higher your GPA is, the more okay you'll be at getting into your desired law school even if your LSAT isn't stellar. So if you want to take the pressure off a little when it comes to taking the LSAT, prioritize that GPA!
Another great skill to practice in undergrad is speaking in class! If you're like most people will get so much more out of your law school classes if you're willing/confident enough to engage with the professor. Yes, that means asking or answering questions in front of a giant room full of people. But this is such a good skill to learn. (And it will make arguing in front of a judge or jury less scary in the long run, too.)
Related: take every change you get to practice public speaking! Join a speech and debate club or something similar!
And get used to going to your professors' office hours. Office hours are an amazing chance in law school to dig deeper into the material, and will sometimes result in internships, job offers, and the like. So use undergrad to get used to reaching out to your profs.
(Plus, you'll need letters of rec when you start applying to law school, so having some undergrad professors wrapped around your thumb won't hurt.)
And while I'm thinking of applications - try to be, for lack of better words, interesting and well-rounded. Your chosen majors are a fantastic start, since throwing psychology in will help you stand out from all the other government-and-political-science types. But you want to show law school admins that you're not just an academic nerd. Whatever other interests you have, see if you can find some way to make them official, like by joining a club (or starting your own). Ideally, this would also involve some sort of volunteering. Overall, this shows admin that you're someone who gives back to your academic institutions (which they'll interpret as you being the sort of person who'll make the law school better for everyone), and someone who gives back to society.
Another super random piece of advice that isn't specific to undergrad: hone your typing skills! Most law school exams (and the infamous bar exam) are timed tests. If you can type faster than your classmates, you will be at an advantage, and that matters when classes are graded on a curve.
LSAT:
Practice tests, practice tests, practice tests! The LSAT is a skills-based test, so reading a bunch about the test is a waste of time. I re commend reading about it enough that you can identify the categories of questions, and then moving on because you want to take a practice test asap. That will tell you where your weak spots are. Once you know your weak spots (...chances are, it's logic games, perhaps a specific category of logic games), then you can focus on practicing those questions.
I found YouTube to be a great source with logic games specifically, because the way to beat a logic game is by diagramming as accurately and efficiently as possible. I'm not a visual thinker, so the diagrams I came up with on my own usually weren't good enough. The experts on YouTube have already figured it out for me!
Aside from YouTube, the only other resource I used was books found at thrift stores. I stocked up on a ton of LSAT books, not to read them, but to use the practice tests at the end.
I can't stress this enough: you HAVE to actually PRACTICE the LSAT. You have to isolate in a room and set a timer and run through it like it's the real thing. Doing it in focused bursts might help you figure out how to answer a specific kind of question, but at the end of the day, the LSAT is also a test of mental endurance. You have to train your brain to focus (and focus hard) for the whole time. The only way to do that is practice like it's the real thing.
(If you're super hardcore, this means, as you get closer to the real thing, that you practice eating, drinking, and sleeping the way you would for the real exam, too. Like if the exam starts at 9 in the morning, you make sure you eat whatever you need to before that point, so you can start your practice exam at 9am too. Otherwise, your brain might get used to switching into high gear later in the day, and that's suboptimal.)
I was blessed in that a local law school actually offered free practice LSATs every October, which is great because it just feels a little more real than practicing at home. So if anywhere in your area offers something like that, do it! And if not, try to practice going somewhere to take your practice exams. Doing it in the comfort of your own home is just a little less nerve-wracking.
Other super random tip: get some sprigs of rosemary and sniff them periodically. You'll look weird, but it helps your brain stay awake.
