"Here’s what you’re not being told: The most pressing threats to our safety as Jewish students do not come from tents on campus. Instead, they come from the Columbia administration inviting police onto campus, certain faculty members, and third-party organizations that dox undergraduates. Frankly, I regret the fact that writing to confirm the safety of Jewish Ivy League students feels justified in the first place. I have not seen many pundits hand-wringing over the safety of my Palestinian colleagues mourning the deaths of family members, or the destruction of Gaza’s cherished universities.
I am wary of a hysterical campus discourse – gleefully amplified by many of the same charlatans who have turned “DEI” into a slur – that draws attention away from the ongoing slaughter in the Gaza Strip and settler violence in the occupiedWest Bank. We should be focusing on the material reality of war: the munitions our government is sending to Israel, which kill Palestinians by the thousands, and the Americans participating in the violence. Forget the fringe folks and outside agitators: the CUAD organizers behind the campus protests have rightfully insisted on divestment as their most important demand of the Columbia administration, and on sustained attention to the situation in Palestine.
And we are not alone. College campuses across the United States have followed Columbia’s lead.
And so, it is my hope that we can all learn from their examples to remain clear-eyed about the stakes of this crisis and focus on the actual violence being perpetrated in all of our names. "

"Columbia University made a huge mistake calling the cops on student protesters," said one educator. "It has transformed the activism of hundreds of students into a student movement of thousands."

Say Her Name - Asra Panahi
A schoolgirl, identified as Asra Panahi, was killed when plainclothes Islamic Republic forces attacked the Shahed Girls High School in Ardabil on October 13, 2022. As usual, IRGC claims she died because of underlying heart disease (same excuse they gave for Mahsa’s murder).
Several other female students who the IRGC violently beat are now being treated at the Fatemi Hospital. The number of abducted and missing schoolgirls has reached 19.
The school’s principal agreed to IRGC’s attack and kidnapping in this school in Ardabil.
People in Ardabil, Azerbaijan were protesting today en mass and protests continued well into the night.

Princeton University students picketed the local Woolworth's store, March 12, 1960. Though Woolworth's was not segregated in New Jersey, their lunch counters in the South were. R. Hunter Morey '62 organized the protest on the same weekend Martin Luther King, Jr. was scheduled to preach in Princeton University Chapel. Morey wanted students to show support for the Civil Rights Movement, rather than just viewing King's campus visit as "a status symbol to show how aware we Princetonians are."
Locally, there were some who did not appreciate the demonstration. Police intervened when a mob attacked the protesters.

"This week we saw a massive escalation of college administrators continuing the disgraceful and cowardly decision to silence student activism, who over the past month and a half have shown their support and solidarity with Palestine.
Anti-Palestinian organizations applaud universities that suspend student chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace, all the while lobbying social media giants to ensure that Israeli military propaganda is flooding the feeds. But, according to TikTok, the company “does not ‘promote’ one side of an issue over another.”
The effective thrust of TikTok’s blog post, then, is that young people are seeing more pro-Palestine content on the app because that’s what they’re engaging with, Vice points out.
Student activism in America has strong roots. From the Freedom Summer and the Greensboro sit-ins during the Civil Rights movement, to campus occupations during the Vietnam War, the March for Our Lives movement to end gun violence, the uprising of voices in support of the Black Lives Matter movement – student voices have always played a massive role in changing the social and political landscape of the US.
This generation's access and mastery of social media, and ability to scour the internet for research and answers, has created a movement of not only informed but active student participants who can go head to head with professors, reporters, and politicians.
They are organized and understand how to utilize the reach of social media to spread their message far and wide. When that media usage meets on campus activism, we get a force to be reckoned with. Student organizing is a crucial part of change. Defendants of the Israeli government and its genocidal war on Palestinians are scared of the voices of the youth, and this means that the youth have something important to say.
Our student chapters are an integral part of JVP, and we could not be more proud of the work they, and their partners on campus, are doing to demand a ceasefire now and the end to the Isreali governemnt’s continued settler violence and ongoing genocide of Palestinians."

"Funnily enough, however, these free speech warriors don’t seem particularly concerned about censorship when it comes to Palestine.
What’s left out of these nonstop discussions of campus safety is this: there isn’t a single safe campus left in Gaza. Israel, with the unconditional aid of the US, has destroyed almost every kindergarten, school, and university in Gaza. It has killed at least 100 Palestinian academics. It has decimated every cultural institution. There are over 13,000 dead children in Gaza who will never have the opportunity of an education. You should not be able to talk about campus safety without mentioning the fact that, thanks to US-backed Israeli air strikes, every campus in Gaza is now a graveyard."

if someone came to your home and told you you had to get out because their parents lived there 50 years ago, you would call the police on them. you would think they are insane. you would rightly think they are out of their minds because having people who once lived in a place a hundred years ago does not give anyone today the right to take someone else's property. however, israel has been spreading the lie that somehow having people who lived on a land 3000 years ago gives them the right to take it from the indigenous population through theft, murder, gr@pe, and worse. i'm so proud of these university kids for seeing the truth.

"Our students are not political pawns": hundreds gather on campus to oppose elimination of DEI, Richard Corcoran
“Fight fight fight, education is a human right!” This mantra was chanted by hundreds of students, alums, parents and community members gathered on the steps of the Hamilton “Ham” Center before the Feb. 28 New College Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting. The meeting would be the first where newly appointed Interim President Richard Corcoran would be present, and on the agenda was the abolition of the…

Students at Sharif University in Tehran have been locked in the university since afternoon. They are being arrested and/or killed. They asked that people of Tehran to come out and help them and people have come out in droves in their support. In this video, you can hear gunfire being used.
Sharif is the MIT of Iran. The students there are the brightest in the country.
SPREAD THE WORD! They need us to be their voice.
