you have been falling in love more and more deeply with one specific Sternritter for a while now. Sternritter E, she was one of the female within the Wandenreich and is known as both a really hot-headed girl and also a really cruel person, she doesn't seems to act like that towards her friend group though.

you've seen her time to time inviting a male Quincy worker to go to her room just to came out without that guy. it was weird even to you, did he die? it was very likely. but weirdly enough there was time to time where you would caught her staring at you but the moment you taken notice she would look away. you weren't sure if she was judging you or some sort..

you never really knew her that close or anything- you don't even know or friend with any of her friends too! you were almost like a secret admirer of the Sternritter. but thankfully despite walking and all the staring at her you weren't caught red-handed nor you were exposed for liking the same gender. you knew it was weird, knew Yhwach wouldn't allow the relationship between a Sternrriter and a lowly Quincy like yourself. what was your worth to her anyways? you are nothing compare to the Sternritter that you love and held so dearly to about.

until one day suddenly a blond child came up to you and offer you her food, it was a box of some stick covered in chocolate- pocky! you weren't sure why one of the Sternritter like her was talking to you, even worse, why was one of your crush's friend trying to offer you a nice thing like this? so all your did was..kindly refuse the kind offer made by the blond kid. she pulled back the box and eat three of the pocky in one chomp.

"you're {name}, right?" she asked with the pocky stick in her mouth.

"yes, why? is something the matter?" you asked, a bit anxious of why was a Sternritter starting to talk to you.

"you're a rare female worker, you should get along with us bambies, ya know? it isn't safe ta' be round' these part with no one"

bambies? like- Bambietta? Bambietta Basterbine? is that what she called her friend group? does the name means that she's the leader of them all? "uh- I'll try and get along with them then!" you said trying to hide the confusion but also shockness in you. why was this one inviting you to be in a friendgroup full of Sternritters?? no no but she already said the reason- oh fucking lord-

"come to Bambi's room if ya really wanna be friend" she said as she walks off. huh. this feels almost like a prank, specifically with the dead tone voice of the little girl that talked to you. she seems so dead- almost emotionless you can say- weird- but you're just going to go to Bambietta's room right?- this is your only chance that you're going to get with your crush c'mon now!

and so you did. Sternritter G, Sternritter T, Sternritter P, Sternritter Z and also your crush were all in the room-

"oh..she did came" the pink head said "told'cha she'll come" the kid said this time "wahhh us girls need to stick together!! I'm so glad ya accept da' invite and came here!!" the Z said with a smile and a giggle coming out of her-

and then there was your crush. "hmph. whatever you guys fucking want. you guys always do what I never told ya ta' do!!" she said before she got up from her bed from sitting there "I'm leaving!" she said as she put on her white cloak and walks out the room as she bump your shoulder. ow. that hurts.

"don't mind her too much, she's always like that" the blondie said as you stood frozen, was that a rejection to you or some sort? it feels almost like it. your chest hurt. that felt like a rejection, does she always knew that you liked her? there's no way right? nobody knew!

but nevertheless you guys actually talked, without Bambietta because she left and never came back. after a while of talking you guys all become friend and you became one of the Bambies automatically. but despite then Bambietta does not seems interested in you at all. always avoiding you and also keeps walking off from her friends the moment you arrive on scene. is really bitter to you

yet the first invasion within the Seireitei have came through and you have to go and fight as a Soldat, covering up your whole body enough to the point that nobody could tell if you're a guy or a girl. you fought and fought and came back within Wandenreich with victory in your hand, but you also got a few wounds here and there- so that was not nice- Giselle noticed onto your wound and she immediately swoons over you

"hey hey lemme heal y-" she was cut off by Bambietta throwing a bomb nearby her making both Gigi's hair and your hair flew to the side, it was a very bad impact and almost made both of you flew but thankfully because Gigi was on top of you you technically couldn't fly.

"oh c'mon Bambi-chan-" "NO! you're just gonna turn ya own friend into nother' zombie! don't think I'm stupid!" she said shouting at the girl as Gigi only frown

"NOW GO!" Bambietta yells, it was a bit confused with you because she never really seems to ever cared about you- but now she do? it was an odd situation. she walked over to you and give you her hand to help you up and you accept it

"ya need bandage? I got some in my room if ya want em'" she said pulling you up forcefully so and looked away. "don't let Gigi touch ya. she can turn ya into a zombie. now go and get some bandage moron! stop waiting around and letting blood spill from your damn wounds dammit!!" she said shouting into your ears this time and you immediately go to her room and grab some bandage to bandage yourself up.

that was a one time odd situation though.

second invasion came through and you go and fight more enemies again- just the same routine but this time everything was done and rain starts to fall upon all of the Soldats as you looked up into the sky to see a hole within the bloody sky of the Seireitei. was this his majesty's doing? probably. but the attention was caught off before Giselle came tapping you on the shoulder as she seems to be..dragging..Bambi.

it was a frightful sight to see and your eyes widen almost immediately. Gigi was seen smiling and- was she not feeling anything? is Bambi dead? if she's dead then why's Gigi dragging her like that?

and every single of your question was answered as Gigi looked over at Bambi and then threw Bambietta at you for you to carry. she was alive..but she also seems- dead? there was also some drooling and some saliva coming down from her mouth- it was disgusting but you still couldn't bare to push away the one you know is your crush. "she's my zombie now! she lost and died within a fight but it'll be so lonely without her in our group..so I decide it was best if I turn her into a zombie!" she said cheerfully like this was a funny and not serious matter. you knew Gigi was somewhat a creep but you didn't knew she could also be this crude and cruel-

and for once. " {N-Name} .." Bambietta said your name. she said your name with tears in her eyes starting to form as she starts to hug onto you. you were shocked, because never once have Bambi ever called you by your name..

"ya never knew?" huh?

"never knew what..?" "Bambi always liked ya! I thought she was going to confessed to ya one day and thought she was going to survive but..seems the inconvenience happens at a wrong time!" she said still having that damn smile glued to her face. as you stood there in shock over what you have heard. Bambi always liked you..?

Quilge was ordered to take some Arrancars back within the Wandenreich, and hearby had been tasked with handling a disgusting fox arrancar and taking it to the Bambies. He had to hook a leash to her collar that he could use to pull her around incase the little brat decided to misbehave and caused a Rekus. He didn’t want to talk much to the bambies, considering that they're—- quite annoying and obnoxiou to say the least. specifically that of Sternritter Z. it didn't matter much though, he's only here to deliver some package and so he met—- wow, what a surprise—- GIselle Gewelle. He tugged forcefully on the Arrancars leash, making her stumble as he handed the end over to the fellow sternritter.

"𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐭 “ he left without many other words, not wanting to stay with them any longer.

giselle is a petite, frail looking young woman with an overly pale complexion and bright blue eyes. she has long, messy black hair styled into 'antennae' on top of her head, forcing her to use a miniature version of the quincy's cap. she favors baggy sweaters and leggings, with a cute heart shaped purse.

PERSONALITY

at first glance giselle seems shallow, vapid, and even a little dumb. in battle she tends to cower away from her opponents, presenting herself as a weak ( if not obvious ) target.

in reality she is a sadist at heart. she lacks empathy toward any of her comrades, and won't hesitate to conscript them into her army of undead – even hurrying the process along, at times. she thrives off control and the thought of exerting it over others be it through subtle manipulation or outright force.

WISHLIST

SHIPS: I mainly ship her with meninas, but i'm open to other members of the femritter or even some twisted hateships with arrancar or shinigami.

ZOMBIES: you ever wanted to be a part of something greater? join her zombie horde. they have regular flash mobs.

I feel like there were no casualties because Kubo never wants to kill any of the captains. I mean when they first should up the sternritter one the fights they were in they just didn’t kill any of the main characters. Also the old gotei being the strongest incarnation doesn’t feel that weird I mean we’ve seen captains get replaced with weaker alternatives now.

Kubo is for sure extremely reticent to kill off Shinigami characters. (See: literally no loyal Shinigami deaths at all from Aizen's machinations; Gin and Kaname are the only Shinigami to die.) But again, this is a kind of Doylist explanation. In-universe, we've got some weird facts to wrangle with.

The contemporary Sternritter of Wandenreich are way stronger than the Quincy of Lichtreich, because 1. Yhwach himself is way stronger in 2003 than in 1004 because he grows stronger from Quincy deaths, and 2. notable Sternritter powers like both forms of Blut and Vollständig have their power levels directly controlled by this stronger Yhwach, and Vollständig is "new" (likely less than a century old).

The other threats to the contemporary Shinigami, like Hollows and Arrancar, are also implied to be rather more highly evolved now than in the past. Kuruyashiki in SAFWY is stated to have killed a Vasto Lorde which is a highly uncommon feat ("But you never hear about anyone taking down a Vasto Lorde like you did in the past, Captain"). It's anime-only, but it's worth noting it has one of Aizen's Arrancar almost defeating Harribel, a Vasto Lorde, suggesting Arrancarized Adjuchas are roughly as strong as natural Vasto Lordes. To go back to a superior threat, you have to go back to Ikomikidomoe, which beat Yamamoto... before he had a zanpakutō.

So, we know that of the original Gotei 13, all of them were dead by 1891 except Yamamoto and Retsu. What killed them all if they were so much stronger than the current Gotei 13 Captains, and all their opponents were so much weaker? That's a contradiction and a mystery. There are again at least two possible answers in my view.

The first is that they weren't that strong and it was all hype.

The second is that their strength didn't manifest in a straightforward fashion as so many like to imagine. Bleach fans like to imagine Bleach is like Dragonball Z and has power levels, but it doesn't. It's a lot closer to Pokémon elemental matchups. Kubo and Narita both more or less openly declare this; to return to Kuruyashiki, he asks Shunsui if Shunsui could beat a Vasto Lorde, and Shunsui says it all depends and that maybe he could beat a Vasto Lorde and yet lose to a Gillian. Kaien losing to Metastacia is another example, as is Rukia being crippled by Fishbone D in the very first chapter. Circumstance and matchup are vital in Bleach.

So it could be that the OG Gotei 13 was strong in highly unconventional ways. Think like Mayuri, whose direct personal combat power is relatively low but whose overall combat utility is exceptionally high.

We probably won't know the answers, to be honest. These guys appeared for literally one panel in the manga, and I don't expect the anime will be handing them a few episodes of flashbacks or anything.
