i am so tired of people equating proshippers with people who think pedophilia and incest is okay. we don't, actually.

i know this may come as a shock to some people, but we actually can differentiate from fiction and reality, and just because we think something is fun in fiction doesn't mean we think it's fun in reality.

fuck, i constantly wrote Sterek as the clingiest fuckers alive and i hate that personally, i cannot fucking sleep if someone is clinging to me, but i LOVE the thought of Sterek not being able to sleep unless they're practically glued together.

so why should i think incest is okay because i ship Wincest? why should i think pedophilia is okay because i enjoy reading some fucked up shit from time to time?

how do you deal with the ai "art" on tumblr?

i'm torn on blocking people who post it (i'm naively hoping they just don't realize why it's bad and will stop), but the only tag i've seen used is the #ai tag and i don't want to blacklist that since posts about ai use that tag too and i want to see those (plus that tag is only very rarely used so it wouldn't help much).

so how do you deal with it? block and move on?

My favourite moment of the past 24 hours was getting to meet a gorgeous golden retriever called Ringo. He was the best boy ever (apart from our family dog, of course) and cuddled right up to me the moment we met, as if we were old friends and not complete strangers, and let me pet him and pet him until he and his human had to go. He put a huge smile on my face and made me feel happy.

Bonus happy thing from the last 24 hours - I got chicken chow mein from my local Chinese takeaway for dinner last night and it was delicious.

Also, on Monday (not within the last 24 hours, but it made me happy so I’m going to include it) I was wandering round a secondhand bookshop after work and, as well as a few books, I found the cutest little wooden ornament of a cat standing on some books and was delighted to discover it was for sale. I snapped it up immediately. It cost £4, which I think was a bargain price for something that hasn’t stopped making me smile every time I think about it since. Just looking at it on my bookshelf makes me happy. Oh, and I got a new notebook with pretty purple peonies on the front the other day as well! So pretty!

B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.

I’m not sure there are any romantic or sexual pairings that fit this...I’m thinking about it, though. Hrm. At least not in the OTPs category, because I tend to lock in on those pretty hard, and I don’t multiship primary pairings.

For side pairings...honestly, it’s bugging me that I’m drawing a blank right now! I’m sure there must’ve been cases where I commented on someone’s fic with, “Wow, I’d never thought of this, but --!” I’m actually sitting here with a list of Teen Wolf characters pulled up, haha, squinting at it and trying to figure out which I might’ve gotten hooked on via specific fics.

The only thing I can kinda think of is that for a while, I was on board with Scott/Isaac/Allison as a trio, but even fic couldn’t keep me from souring on Scott & Posey stuff, so now I usually skip anything that has Scott/Isaac in it. 

Other side pairings I enjoy are Cora/Lydia, Lydia/Parrish...but that’s from fandom jumping after on-screen chemistry and interactions. Maybe Acxa/Veronica from Voltron? Although again, that had its basis in the-season-that-shall-not-be-named.

I guess the difficult part for me is that I don’t really have a lot of ships that aren’t backed up by at least some canon material, so it’s usually something I saw in canon, liked, and then developed a deeper appreciation for through fandom. But usually not something that was 100% out of nowhere “wow I hadn’t thought of this but now I love it.”

If I think of more later, I’ll come back and answer this again. I bet I’m forgetting some obvious ones.

In terms of platonic, Gargoyles is at the front of my mind right now, and @mad-madam-m has absolutely convinced me that Elisa Maza and David Xanatos are gonna be bffs at some point in the future. (Once Elisa stops hating Xanatos’s guts and realizes they have a lot more in common than she’d expected.)

I never touch the CSS but I don't mind it being there at all. I have a page that I edit 3 times a week (not one of yours though) that I gladly scroll down a *lot* of code to get to what I have to change, because someone made that page and shared it for free so I can use it. It's no bother, scrolling, not really. And you are very good with showing what to edit, so it's still easy to find and see etc.

as someone who loves personalizing their themes i wouldn't use a theme i couldnt edit/tweak to my liking...

Alrighty, the overwhelming consensus seems to be to leave stuff as it is :p You could still edit pages with a stylesheet, but this is kinda more difficult, so I totally get that! I’ll just keep going like I normally do haha

what's the best episode (or just any episode) to hear John Sheppard's laugh?

i don't remember his laugh from the show, but considering so many fanfic authors describe his laugh in the same way (the same so very distinct way too xD), i just have to hear it. but it's five seasons and yeah i do have plans to rewatch, but, well, yeah. easier to ask here xD
