Lowder Updates

This is going to be my last post of the year. You can now request for to review something but I will not do it until I finish the Zyuohger review and it has to be something that I can legally obtain.

So, I decide to mess around with Photopea to create my new banner.

Here it is.

As you can see, there are some familiar faces from Larry, Pomy, Eddie, Sonic, Rock, etc to new faces near some familiar faces. Also, I'm introducing new characters to you with those being.

Bowser Jr., Wendy, Mickey, and Oswald are the supporting characters to Larry and Pomy with Jr. and Wendy being Larry's younger siblings and Oswald and Mickey being Larry and Pomy's masters, respectively.

Rex and Cody are the supporting characters to Eddie with them being his older and younger brother, respectively, that serve as his friends that generally help each other.

Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, and Sally serve as one of half of the supporting characters for Sonic and Rock, with them being there to help both of them when they need it.

Roll, Proto, Rush, Eddie, Beat, Tango, and the Servbots serve as the other half of the supporting cast for Sonic and Rock, with them helping with more technical things, combat, or both.

Tony Tony Chopper is one of the main characters who will appear in the fifth part but for now, he dreams about becoming a doctor capable of curing any disease and is the sworn brother to Luffy, Ace, and Sabo with the reason being unknown on how he met them but he has the potential to become stronger.

You should already be familiar with Komasan and his friends if you've been on my blog long enough but if you aren't Komasan is a Yo-kai that loves Tokusatsu that became a Kamen Rider along with his childhood sweetheart and later wife, Yuki, a yuki-onna that is half Oni, Jibanyan, a nekomata that is in love with Komasan, Usapyon, an otter Yo-kai that has anger issues, and Gilgaros, an oni that is honorable to his friends, with the help Tsukasa Kadoya AKA Kamen Rider Decade, the former "Destroyer of Worlds" that serves as a mentor figure to Komasan, and Daiki Kaito AKA Kamen Rider Diend, a dimensional thief that has a British accent for some and is possibly in love with Tsukasa, even though he already is married to Natsumi, that go on to save the Yo-kai world multiple times from any evil forces.

Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot, and Goro are some of the main characters of Phase 2 and early-Phase 3 that will appear, with Scorpion being an undead spectre that wields fire that was killed by the elder Sub-Zero, Sub-Zero is the younger brother to Noob Saibot that became Sub-Zero after his brother was killed, Noob Saibot is a wraith that is the older brother to Sub-Zero and was the previous Sub-Zero before being killed by Scorpion and was reborn as a wraith with shadow powers, and Goro is the prince of the four-armed species known as the Shokan, that was the previous champion of Mortal Kombat before losing to Liu Kang and went on to wield the spirit of Onaga the dragon king but was saved by Scorpion and Shujinko with Goro joining the Shirai Ryu after his life was saved by Scorpion and Shujinko but still has a part of Onaga's soul in his body that allows to gain wings.

Spider-Ham, Ch'p, Peni, and Lobo are main characters that will appear in Phase 2 after the beginning part and throughout the entirety of Phase 3, with Spider-Ham being a spider bitten by a radioactive pig that became Spider-Ham and gained cosmic powers accidently, Ch'p is a H'lvenite, squirrel-like aliens, that gained a Green Lantern ring and serves as the best friend to Ham, Peni is a girl that was bitten by a radioactive spider to pilot a mech called the SP//dr to help her friends and other heroes, and Lobo is an alien bounty hunter that is the last of species after he killed all of them for his science project, he helps Ham and Ch'p with his skills and healing factor.

If you are asking about the other characters, those are meant to represent most of the first batch of Lowder Reviews and previous reviews. I will see you next time when I create magic with the Lowder-verse. So, Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate and Happy New Year. Also, this is my 100th post so uh happy 100th post.

Snowfall Sakura Festival Event

A short 1 week event that coincides with the release of SP Yuki Onna. It's reminiscent of Enmusubi's event. Consists of 3 main parts; Sakura Forests, Secluded Realm, and Sakura Drifting. Experienced players may find this event to be a bit underwhelming.

SP Yuki Onna & Snow Spirit Buffs

In Sakura Forests and Secluded Realm, an ally SP Yuki Onna will join you in battle. She'll deal some damage to all enemies every time she has 6 layers of Ice Flower (the snowflake behind her gains 6 arms/points). Every time an ally or enemy take a turn, she gains 1 layer. This damage and layer gaining is the default Snow Spirit buff that is immediately available.

After defeating each forest boss in the Sakura Forests for the first time, additional Snow Spirit buffs will become unlocked.

Buff Effects:

Allies gain a 30% chance to inflict freeze when dealing damage.

Damage dealt to frozen enemies is increased by 50%.

Have a 100% to gain 2 onibi after SP Yuki Onna takes an action.

Chance of inflicting freeze when allies deal damage increases to 80%.

Increased damage dealt to frozen enemies increases to 100%.

Sakura Forests

Explore the Sakura Forests to collect sakura petals and defeat the forest bosses. Each forest is a map made up of various tiles that you need to manually navigate. Tile types are:

Bosses: Costs 3 AP to fight, solo only.

Bosses with a "?" will grant a buff after they have been defeated. Buffs are a selection between 20% ATK&DEF, 10% crit or 10 SPD. Each buff can stack up to 10 times and only apply to the current forest you are in.

Forest Boss: Costs 3 AP to fight, solo only. Defeating it for the first time will unlock a Snow Spirit buff. Defeating it will also reset the forest.

Treasure Boxes: Costs 3 AP to open. Gives rewards such as gold, evo materials and souls. Boxes encase in large ice crystals give better rewards but permanently disappear after being opened.

Icy Tiles: These will force you to slide across them until you hit boss, a treasure boss or a non-icy tile.

Arrow Tiles: These will force you to move in a certain direction.

Sakura Petals: These sit on top of tiles, will not stop you from sliding on icy tiles. Once collected they will disappear. Needed for certain forest missions or achievements.

Missions

Each forest has 5 missions. The missions are slightly different for each forest but the rewards are the same. Upon entering a forest, clicking the blue button next to the "!" button will open a tab with the missions for that forest. In that tab you can pin 1 mission to the top of screen so you can keep track of which mission you're focusing on. It's particularly helpful for keeping track of the "clear within x moves" ones.

Missions are an assortment of “defeat the forest boss”, “reach the forest boss within x moves”, etc.

Secluded Realm

The farming part of the event. It's basically a sakura forest with 4 lanes for the 4 different reward types and all lead to the forest boss. There's no AP cost for bosses or treasure boxes. Can only fight bosses/open treasure boxes 50 times a day. Every time you put auto on, you'll need to pick your preferred reward type.

Top lane is for souls, drops are ~3 4-6* souls and a few orochi scales. The 2nd lane is for daruma shards, drops are ~6 blue daruma shards, ~10 red daruma shards and ~10 white daruma shards. The 3rd lane is for gold, drops are ~25000 gold. Last lane is for evo, don't bother with this one. Drops for the forest boss depends on which lane you entered and the rewards for it are doubled.

Recommended reward type to pick is gold or daruma shards.

Sakura Drifting

Help Enmusubi collect sakura drifting in the river. Each day you'll get 3 tickets to do this activity. Doing this requires pairing up with a friend or a random person. The 2 of you will both try collect as much sakura as possible to get a high score, then your scores will be added together when time is up and you'll get some rewards. Rewards are ~60000 gold, ~60 AP and random evo materials.

Quest Rewards

Unlike most events, there is no exchange shop. Instead there are quests; daily quests and achievement quests. Daily quests rewards include 5 random 6* souls, 300 AP, 20 jade and 10 skin tickets. Achievement quests are separated into 8 tabs, 5 of which are for the forest missions. The other 3 tabs are; total achievements, sakura petal collecting and forest clearing.

Rewards for total achievements include a special kekkai/realm card, new Hakurou skin, a black daruma and a random SSR/SP. Rewards for petal collecting include 4 blue summon tickets, an event icon frame and an animated version of the event icon frame. Rewards for forest clearing include 2 loading screen illustrations and 20 EXP souls.

The total rewards for completing all 25 forest missions are; 500 jade, 2 3* white daruma, 4* white daruma, 5* white daruma, 5 blue daruma, 15 black daruma shards, 150 gold orochi scales, 50 demon souls and ~1mil gold.

Recommended Teams

The standard event farming team should be more than good enough for clearing all the bosses in this event. If you want to use a Suzuka + SP Tama team, swap Senhime/Oitsuki out for Kaguya then you can either keep SP Shuten or swap him for Ushi.

The 5th forest boss can be a bit tough, so if you're on the weaker side you may need to farm for the ATK&DEF buffs.

For forest 5 mission 4, could use something like Ubume + Kani + Oitsuki + Ushi/Sasori + a 5th shiki of your choice. Personally, I just used a Sasori + Shoyou + Sanbi team (I don't have many dps SR/R shiki built orz on test sv). May need to farm for SPD buffs before attempting this mission if you choose not to use a puller (Kamai, Yama Usagi, Peach&Karashi).

Karma Duet (SP Void Menreiki) Event Story Transcript - Part 03

Date: August 13. 2021 (Global Server)

Somewhere in the old mansion before Dark Seimei met up with his shikigami… A dilapidated staircase reached out from the doors and started to fold and spin. A crack appeared on the staircase and separated the two figures that were fighting. The minute they stopped, one of them pushed the other violently. Unexpectedly, she was grabbed by the sleeves and flung down the staircase. The girl struggled to get up, her thin fingers scrabbled on the wooden staircase. Then she was stomped upon by a foot. The girl in white was hanging down from the staircase.

GIRL (FUKO NO KAMI): See? I’ll always be the last one smiling. No matter how many times over!

GIRL (FUKO NO KAMI): It feels so good. No matter how much pain I am in, I’m happy so long as I can look down on your face from high above.

GIRL (FUKO NO KAMI): Hahaha!

GIRL (FUKO NO KAMI): Urgh, you! When did you get the knife…

GIRL (SEMIMARU): Hee hee, don’t forget that I’m always watching you…

GIRL (SEMIMARU): Your sweet happiness will now be placed alongside my liquor of bitterness! Hee hee…

A sharp knife pierced through the ankle of the girl. A pair of hands tainted by blood dropped the knife and grabbed the ankle. The two of them were at stalemate. Then the staircase started to turn again.

GIRL (SEMIMARU): Looks like luck is on my side this time. Hee hee, die with me!

GIRL (FUKO NO KAMI): Why? Why do you have both luck and power when it’s clear I deserve our master’s pity?!

GIRL (FUKO NO KAMI): Let go of me! Let go! Argh!

GIRL (SEMIMARU): Hee hee…

The cries faded as the two fell from the ever-shifting staircase. It then quieted down. A figure appeared on the spot where the two had been fighting. An abyss devoured everything. After a long wait without hearing a thud, the figure leaned down to touch the blood on the ground, only to find that it was just an illusion.

OOTENGU: This is also an illusion.

OOTENGU: I’ve been investigating the place ever since I woke up. But I still haven’t figured out the shifting pattern of the house.

OOTENGU: Are the illusions rebuilding the past of this place? How many times has it played out?

OOTENGU: What a sick hobby.

OOTENGU: Having seen the power of the few monsters that attacked me, Yuki Onna should be able to handle them despite her physical condition.

OOTENGU: Anyway, I must meet up with them again as soon as possible.

OOTENGU: Tsk, the headache, I can feel it again…

OOTENGU: This strange sense of anxiety and familiarity…

OOTENGU: Low ceilings, narrow corridors, layers of closed doors…

OOTENGU: Is the mansion designed to…amplify hidden feelings?

OOTENGU: Anyone who lives in this kind of house would be driven mad sooner or later.

OOTENGU: I must find them and leave this place as soon as possible.

Ootengu passed through layers of paper doors. The chamber continued to stretch on. He couldn’t find the end, let alone the exit.

Ootengu didn’t approach to greet him. He hid behind a paper door and eavesdropped on Dark Seimei who was talking to someone.

OOTENGU: (If I’m not mistaken, Master Dark Seimei was talking to…)

OOTENGU: (Sure enough. Before we passed out and got separated, he’d been stalking us. He thought we didn’t notice him, but…)

OOTENGU: (What’s with that exceptionally strong demon force around him?)

HAKUZOSU: Huh? There’s no one else here. I must’ve heard wrong.

DARK SEIMEI: Stop dawdling and let’s get going.

HAKUZOSU: Okay, okay. I know that you’re a great onmyoji with a clear goal.

OOTENGU: …

OOTENGU: Master Dark Seimei!

DARK SEIMEI: Ootengu? You’re here.

OOTENGU: (He is indeed Master Dark Seimei and not the illusion that shared his resemblance. But he was…)

DARK SEIMEI: Everything looks weird here. It’s good to meet up again with my companions.

DARK SEIMEI: I just met a horde of monsters on my way here. They’ve probably been brought here against their will as well. I’m sure we’ll see more as we go.

OOTENGU: Okay, but…

OOTENGU: (Master Dark Seimei’s actions look so strange… Urgh, my head. I’ve got that anxious feeling again.)

OOTENGU: You were talking about companions. So, where’s Yuki Onna? She’s not here. Have you seen her?

OOTENGU: Why didn’t you ask me where she is?

OOTENGU: And…who is that?

A boy with fox ears was standing next to Dark Seimei. The joyful smile on his face made Ootengu find it hard to believe that this was the little fox that used to run about in Heian-Kyo.

HAKUZOSU: Don’t you recognize me even though we’re companions, Master Ootengu?

OOTENGU: What’s that strange demon force on you?

HAKUZOSU: This is how I used to look back when I first encountered humans a long time ago. I simply returned to how I started.

OOTENGU: …

OOTENGU: Master Dark Seimei, why are you calling him your companion?

DARK SEIMEI: I don’t have to explain that.

DARK SEIMEI: He’s the reason why we’re here. And now that we’ve done what we came here to do, there’s no need to stay here any longer.

DARK SEIMEI: Let’s get out of here first.

Ootengu stood there and watched Dark Seimei and Hakuzosu as they turned around and left for the depths of the mansion.

OOTENGU: Are you serious?

OOTENGU: We’re here to… Umm, why were we here?

OOTENGU: (Something’s been affecting my memories. This house? Master Dark Seimei must’ve been affected as well.)

HAKUZOSU: Ah, are you alright, Master Ootengu? Do you want to take a break? You can leave the guarding work to me.

OOTENGU: Don’t touch me!

HAKUZOSU: Oof, that was rude. Are you afraid of something, Master Ootengu?

DARK SEIMEI: Ootengu, you’ve been acting strange.

DARK SEIMEI: We’ll go check the road ahead while you get some rest.

OOTENGU: …

OOTENGU: Ha, you’re the one who’s been acting strange, Master Dark Seimei.

OOTENGU: You’ve disappointed me greatly. I offered my trust and loyalty to you and chose to travel with you.

OOTENGU: Look what you’re doing now.

OOTENGU: You betrayed our trust by leaving your companions behind and you betrayed our loyalty by seeking a twisted power. That is not what someone who’s supposed to bring justice to the world should do!

OOTENGU: (What’s that all about… What am I talking about?!)

OOTENGU: (I can’t control what I’m saying. The force’s affecting my behavior.)

OOTENGU: Today, I will enforce justice!

DARK SEIMEI: …

OOTENGU: (What an old-fashioned cliché… No, it’s not a simple manipulation spell.)

Ootengu was excited by his spontaneous anger. He spread his wings wide and looked down on Dark Seimei and Hakuzosu from above.

OOTENGU: (I know this anxiety and anger doesn’t belong to me, but it’s still affecting me. It feels like…it comes from my heart.)

HAKUZOSU: Ha, enforce justice? You?

OOTENGU: There’s nothing more to say!

Sharp feathers wrapped in a vortex were suddenly aimed at Hakuzosu and surrounded him. After a loud scream, something red was spilt on the ground. A powerful demon force flowed into Ootengu’s body. He felt joy as his power grew. He then turned to Dark Seimei.

OOTENGU: Did you see, Master Dark Seimei! That companion of yours was useless!

OOTENGU: I should be the one who has the privilege of traveling with you.

OOTENGU: Hahaha, with this power, I can now bring true justice to the world!

OOTENGU: (What am I talking about?)

DARK SEIMEI: There’s no difference between us. We’ve both betrayed others’ trust and loyalty. But I’d rather have someone simpler and easier to manipulate as a companion.

OOTENGU: Ha, do you really think like that?

OOTENGU: Those who do not recognize me must be eliminated! Even you, Master Dark Seimei!

The vortex converged again and aimed at Dark Seimei. Ootengu savored the surging force in his body.

OOTENGU: Haha, hahaha, I shall be the one who controls all the power and gains the world’s recognition!

OOTENGU: Ahaha! What? No! Why did it stop…

OOTENGU: Hey, enough of the shenanigans!

OOTENGU: When are you going to stop this lame play of yours?!

A strong gust of wind dispersed the demon force in the chamber. Ootengu stood in the middle of the chamber alone. Dark Seimei and Hakuzosu were nowhere to be found. There were just two cracked masks on the ground—Semimaru and Fuko no Kami. Bitter jealousy and sweet joy were carved on the masks. The cracks on them made them even eerier.

OOTENGU: How dare you disguise yourselves as Master Dark Seimei and insult my companions…

OOTENGU: You even tried to control my body and made me speak those vile words. How dare you!

OOTENGU: And…

OOTENGU: Master Dark Seimei would never see his companions as tools! And he would never abandon his ambitions!

OOTENGU: And that Kohaku? You didn’t even get the way he speaks right.

OOTENGU: Master Dark Seimei and I were companions who shared a common belief. Jealous because I was replaced by others? Ha.

OOTENGU: The jealousy and joy you attempted to distort and amplify didn’t even exist. And they would never affect me, not one feather.

OOTENGU: I don’t know where you’re from or why you’re doing this, but…

OOTENGU: Trying to divide us with such a lame play?

OOTENGU: How presumptuous.

The surrounding demon force dispersed. Ootengu’s scolding echoed in the chamber. The two masks on the ground remained silent, as if they were just two ordinary masks and what had just happened had had nothing to do with them. Ootengu watched them in silence for a while before trampling them to pieces.

OOTENGU: Damn it.

OOTENGU: Thankfully, they’re not here. If they saw how I was acting…

OOTENGU: Humph.

OOTENGU: …

OOTENGU: …...

OOTENGU: I can’t believe my actions were affected by those things. Such a disgrace.

OOTENGU: Tsk…

Ootengu quickened his pace, trying to put his embarrassing memories behind him, as if he had never been in that chamber. After leaving the chamber, he heard footsteps coming around the corner. Then he saw someone he knew.

DARK SEIMEI: Ootengu. You’re here.

OOTENGU: Master Dark Seimei!

DARK SEIMEI: I found myself separated from you when I woke up. Have you seen Yuki Onna?

DARK SEIMEI: Illusions appear from time to time in this place. These depressing chambers may affect your mind. We must be cautious.

OOTENGU: Sure.

DARK SEIMEI: Come on, let’s go find Yuki Onna first.
