Shinta Reviews: Code Geass Part 1: Origins
Our Final (regular) Season debuts with an Evisceration that is long overdue; as we begin a look at the Origins of Code Geass, what series and creators influenced it, and where their minds and talents may have been that led to the eventual narrative collapse of the series; as well as ending up reviewing a dozen other shows along the way.
TL;DR: Damn It Goro Taniguchi and Sunrise.
More on that in the next three videos.
Psycho-Pass: Ginoza and Masaoka roleswap AU. Gino became a latent criminal at 9, Masaoka became an inspector, Gino joins his team as an enforcer years later. Angst ensues. Spammed @dragonsrainbows inbox with this one a few years back.
BSD: Karma is the sole survivor of Ace's crew after episode 29, and attracts the attention of the Port Mafia's leadership as a result. Described in more detail here.
Deadman Wonderland: Nagi lives AU. he and karako have a hard time adjusting to life after prison. meanwhile, rokuro is off somewhere having an even worse time. ganta blackmails rokuro into buying him candy and stuff by threatening to tell karako and nagi where he lives.
s-CRY-ed: post-canon fic. Facing the prospect of war with some foreign adversary (idk which one because i'm not sure how geopolitics works in that universe), the Japanese government decides to reassemble HOLY. the refinement process for alter users still isn't delivering consistent results so they try to recruit the "native alters" or former HOLY members to kind of show off at some joint military exercises as a deterrent. Ryuho and Tachibana struggle with what to do. Kazuma's like "fuck that noise". Meanwhile, The Enemy is prowling the lost ground trying to recruit alter users who resent their country and want to betray it. so everyone's just having an existential crisis.
maybe i'll update this list as i think of more things.
Man anybody remember S-cry-ed? That was a good one when I was a kid. Straight Cougar and Radical Good Speed are still one of my favorite characters and powers. I should buy it.
Guess I forgot to add this as my “largest anime batch I ever logged or marathon” from my last post, where I’ve claimed this one anime is the best show in the world, they called themselves “Carole & Tuesday”.
But straight to the point, if you happen to crave wishing for more Cowboy Bebop and perhaps S-Cry-ed? Which happened to be the same creator of those two project. Here’s another you should check out, it’s called Big O. This anime is basically used for the reference of Wayne Manor, the home of Bruce Wayne or Batman and Alfred, his best friend/butler. Also adding some Gundam theme along it’s way.
I got one word for you to start this off: Steve. Blum.
