Ryan is unsure if it is tied to his gift but he is an OCD clean freak and somewhat of a perfectionist. Ryan wants nothing more than to be the best that he can. Jia Cleirigh (Mentor): Ryan had to fight tooth and nail to get his father to let him mentor with Jia. Ryan has known Jia his whole life thanks to Jia dating Garrett. He hasn’t been mentoring under Jia long but has learned a lot from him already.

→ History
Ryan was raised by a single parent but his community had a lot to do with his upbringing. He grew up around warlocks, witches, animal shifters, human shifters, vampires and humans. While he is not following in his father's footsteps, Ryan does have a hand for charms and spells. Thanks to his uncles, Ryan has been introduced to a lot of human technologies. One of his favorites being podcasting. Instead of reading or staying up late to watch TV, Ryan would stay up late listening to podcasting and thinking of ideas of his own. It wasn’t long before Ryan started his own podcast for the local supernaturals. Of course it starred his family mostly at first but he slowly started winning over more guests. He was the youngest Cleirigh until his grandparents decided they wanted kids again sometime after the Y2K scare. He likes his new uncle and aunt but misses being the youngest.

Ryan has been working on Psychosomatic Illusions behind closed doors. He’s approximately 20 years away from advanced magic but his curiosity had gotten the best of him. He hinted to Jia that he would like to learn the basics of his advanced powers. He promised not to try and go further than the basic understanding and construct but Jia quickly shot him down. Having perfected altering his appearance and the appearance of things around him and excelling in his basic powers, Ryan is growing bored. His family has warned him of the dangers of practicing alone but he is throwing caution to the wind.
Ryan's podcast has never been so popular. All of the local supernaturals are buzzing around and the last ratings showed an increase of activity all across the Midwest. In between his regular personal life, mentoring with Jia and continuing his potion and spell knowledge with Judson and Roman, Ryan wants more air time with his speakers and fans. Juggling everything has been a hassle now that he is sure Kate is interested in him. Ryan is plotting out ways to ask her out and thinks his next podcast will be about supernaturals dating humans and the necessary precautions.

Ryan Cleirigh (Son): Ryan came as a surprise to everyone but Judson. Judson had heard about a private witch and warlock surrogate program and sperm donors. Without telling anyone, Judson closed up shop to ‘find himself’ and returned 9 months later with a newborn. Ryan is Judson’s greatest accomplishment. Sometimes it's easy to forget that Ryan is his son because of their close friendship.
Romantic Connections:
Abigail Sookram (Ex Girlfriend): Abigail was the closest thing to lust at first sight that Judson has ever experienced. They had instantly clicked when they met and soon tumbled into the sheets with each other. For ages their relationship stayed strictly sexually without strings attached until they decided to give the prospect of a serious relationship a go. Months later Judson ended things when he caught her stealing a few family heirlooms; apparently it wasn’t the first time either.
David Scott (Ex Boyfriend): Judson and David dated for a few years before calling it quits. He was Judson's first serious relationship with a vampire. Their relationship was great in the beginning but as time went on their personality differences and unmatching long term wants were getting harder to ignore. They tried to maintain a friendship after breaking up, however, David eventually left Allegra Cove for Getta’s son seethe in Europe.
Marlon Bentley Jr. (Ex Boyfriend): Marlon was a local wolf shifter that Judson randomly met at Anonymous. Something about him had caught Judson’s attention and he knew he had to have the wolf shifter to himself. It took nearly a full year of jumping through hoops to establish a relationship and nearly another year to tell their friends and family about each other. Judson fought tooth and nail to make their relationship work but he didn’t realize that they were in a toxic relationship. The constant belittling, controlling behavior, lack of support, hostility towards family traditions, blatant disrespect and jealousy caused Judson to break emotionally, mentally and physically. The relationship ended badly enough that Judson left Allegra Cove.

Katherine ‘Kate’ Brooks (New Friend): Judson likes her and he thinks that Ryan does too. She’s a fascinating human.
Jev ‘Patch’ Cipriano (Best Friend): Patch is the little brother that Judson always wanted. Their friendship is one of the best that Judson has ever had.
Bill White (Good Friend): Bill might as well be family at this point in their friendship. Bill, Patch and Judson have an amazing connection.
Fenrin Gustafsson (Friend): Judson and Fenrin first met whilst surfing years ago. When they bumped into each other again in Chicago a friendship formed between them. Judson is currently using Fenrin as a lab rat for potions to help battle dehydration. Fenrin has been a great help and Judson plans on crediting him.
Cassandra Askeris (Old Friend): Cassandra and Judson have been friends for centuries. Judson considers her essentially family at this point.
Jia Hu Cleirigh (Old Friend): Judson has a deep respect for Jia. It's something about the man that peaks Judson interest.

Ethan is somewhat of a loner and often keeps to himself. He is both intelligent and resourceful. He’s also a very rational individual, constantly analysing risks and the best course forward. After WWII, he withdrew into himself, becoming isolated from the world around him and self-loathing. He’s trying to be caring and compassionate to those in his life as he ages. He doesn't want to be his father's age and completely hate life or humans. When Ethan uses his power of Panmnesia, his darker PTSD side is more prominent, he is emotionally detached, even from those he is close to. → History
Ethan was left as a baby on his father’s, Ronan, front porch just outside of what is now Sibiu, Romania. His mother, Willow, left him there having no idea that his father had abandoned the home and started down towards Greece. Ronan hadn’t deactivated his wards and was surprised to feel someone poking around his land. Ronan almost didn’t check because whoever or whatever it was quickly left but curiosity got the best of him. That’s when Ethan’s life really began. He started walking before he could crawl, no one around him crawled and he only mimicked what he saw. His first words were ‘Dada’ followed quickly by ‘damned humans’ and ‘sard! you change his nappies’. Ronan quickly narrowed Ethan's powers down to Panmnesia or Mnemokinesis and lectured him about swearing in public and in front of his aunt, Kaylor.
When Ethan first saw Ishtar, she shined brightly like an angel, and appeared out of nowhere. He learned that she was manipulating time and showed up right in the place he was looking. His two year old eyes couldn’t comprehend that it was just light bending and refracting around her body as she suddenly appeared. Ishtar became one of his favorite people that day. Ethan often found himself bored or learning about things that were way above his age, with panmnesia he could never forget what he read, he read faster than everyone else, he only needed to see something once and could easily repeat it. He excelled quickly with his powers, potions, charms, wards, spells and more. By the time Ethan reached his mid-200’s he was bored with life in general. That's when Ethan joined his first battle, the First Battle of St Albans and later on joined the war efforts of the Welsh Revolt. Ethan finally found something that kept his interest but also him on his toes.
Ethan had fought in many European individual battles but only two full wars; the Welsh Revolt and the First Italian War. It wasn’t until the Revolutionary War that Ethan stopped teleporting to Europe. He fought on both sides in the War of 1812, Mexican - American War, American Civil War and Spanish-American War. For World War I and World War II, Ethan chose a side and stuck to it. After returning from the Gulf War, Ethan became overwhelmed with the fast pace changes around him and rethinking his positions in the military. However, since then he has had multiple deployments overseas; frequenting Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. Ethan had never joined for what he believed in or what he thought was right but only to help him pass time. When he wasn’t at war he was brushing up on new novels, discoveries and his magic. Ethan was always keeping busy and never noticed that he was developing a severe case of PTSD.
→ The Present
Ethan was skeptical when his father kicked him out and forced him to consider staying with his uncle and his dream manipulator. He hated not being in his old room and sharing his space with Talia. But she never gave up and was constantly hounding him to let her help him. One day he listened to what she had to say as they shopped together for a Halloween mask for a masquerade ball thrown by Jia. His interest in her peaked and his hostility dampened. While it took almost a year for him to get to know her and fully trust her, Ethan is glad they're giving each other a try and finally making their relationship official.
Ethan has been retired for two weeks from the US Army Reserve. His family had a ‘small’ party for him last week but besides that Ethan has yet to leave the house again. He’s unsure what to do with himself or with his time. Usually between reenlisting, he would read, train his magic and learn new findings within their community, but every book he’s tried this decade has been trash. Ethan is sure that this time he will not be reenlisting in the future. He’s tried multiple times to go into a deep sleep for a few days or longer but he finds himself waking up fully rested after 8 or 12 hours of sleep. Between Talia, Roman, Ishtar, Ronan, Judson, Bee, Asa and Jin, Ethan is finally convinced he needs a hobby or job; the sooner the better.

Churchill has never been one to overshare. He’s got a way with making friends with almost anyone and an ability to talk his way out of any problems, but few reach past that surface and into the well that is Churchill Darling. He holds almost no connections to his past, and has crafted an identity as someone who could 35 or 500. Church gives off an attitude of fearing nothing; and for much of his life it was the truth. He murdered and cheated others for decades in Paris, taking over rich men’s lives to make his fortune. Churchill often felt invincible in those days, which carries into his personality. For the majority of his life he has preferred to remain unattached to both his biological family and to whatever Human Shifter Family he is living with.

Robert J. Fischer (Best Friend): Church and Robert clicked as soon as they met unexpectedly. While their histories are nowhere near the same, they both enjoyed taking faces and living as the person they wear. Robert, Churchill, Vincent and Patch all shared one apartment until recently, when Robert was tasked with running for mayor.

→ History
Jev was born to Marco and Giuseppina in the Tuscany region of Italy. Their family was successful at finding new faces and building identities for people who needed to get lost. Their family followed the old way of practicing changing smaller aspects of themselves. Instead of changing their entire appearance to someone who already existed, they practiced changing their eye color, hair color, jaw structure, age appearance, body type and/or other structures and features. That’s where Jev earned the nickname Patch. He had a hack for patching together unbelievable faces. Patch was around the age of 14, when his parents offered Sirius and his followers’ new identities for the New World. Patch parents were intrigued and knew a lot of people from that world would need a fresh start or be a breeding place for new face shifts. That started their journey with nearly 60 other human shifters towards Ruperet’s Land where Sirius had planned to join the Hudson’s Bay Company in the fur trading business but also to establish homes in the mining and industrial towns across Canada and the United States.
That’s how they continued for a few years as Patch learnt about other supernatural creatures, he only heard stories about as a child. His first supernatural friend that wasn’t a human shifter was a moose that was caught by hunters. Patch helped him out of the bind, and they became close friends. It was then that Patch and Vincent created a way to help those animal shifters that needed protection from hunters. They got paid and built relationships with the locals. They ran into a group of vampires from Iceland and Norway, who had heard rumors about Canada having longer nights. Patch parents helped them with new identities but beyond that they were no help to them. Patch bonded with one of their Zygotes but lost contact with her after her change. Next was Judson and Ronan Cleirigh, a group of warlocks that came up wanting to help their cursed cousin. Patch bonded immediately with Judson and they’ve been attached by the hip since. It didn’t take much to convince Sirius to move them down to Chicago. It was a new town and Judson had hinted towards their large number of different species and lawlessness. Their reformed family of 213 human shifters slowly left Canada and traveled down to Illinois.
They acted as mediators when they first arrived. Taking payments to privately help solve supernatural on supernatural crimes, street robbery, murder, petty thievery, prostitution, rape, missing children and poaching. Taking note from New York, Philadelphia and Boston, Sirius pushed to establish and form the Chicago Police Department. Patch wasn’t really interested as he spent most of his time with the Cleirigh family or Underground with the vampires. Judson introduced him to the world of travel and the vampires were pure entertainment as they expanded the Underground. It wasn’t until the early 1900s that Patch joined the force, but he found himself more comfortable among the dead in the morgue and helping the vampires by faking the deaths of their zygotes when the time called for it. He plans on remaining in the said position until it is time to take over his parents’ business. Patch gets by, by changing his face every few years or simply aging face up like his parents thought him.
→ The Present
Patch is working towards getting his godson, Ryan together with his coworker, Kate. They’re a perfect match for each other and have been running circles around each other for months. Patch had recently told Kate that Ryan likes her too and that the poor boy is too shy to ask her out. He plans on telling Ryan the same thing to get things moving. This decade seems to be the decade of love because Patch is also trying to find a special someone for Churchill too. Churchill denies needing someone but Patch thinks that having someone special is always worth it. He is worried that Churchill will single forever or possibly sleep with the wrong person and cause a lot of drama. Patch has been working on building Church a new face and identity for when shit hits the fan or whenever he agrees to start dating again.

Bee and his wife Kaylor have had their eyes on adopting an orphaned vampire or one who was looking, in general, to be a part of a big family. They have to convince their family and the vampire seethe master that they really want this.
Bee has been working with other craftsmen on large projects and he often works with Eric Lasiter to tackle large jobs together. He is working on more items for his store and is possibly thinking of hiring someone to help.

Jia has somewhat of a bleeding heart, especially for young supernaturals. He always tries to extend a hand and take watch over them. Sometimes this works, other times it backfires. He makes his parties a safe space for all who attend, and believes he is bringing the supernatural community closer with them. Another reason he hosts these many soirees is because of his strong hatred of being alone. The silence becomes deafening at times, especially if one of his mentees or Garrett is not there. He has a strong streak for the dramatics inside, which is clearly evident when looking at his home and lifestyle. Decadence and a love for vibrant and rich colors fill his home and excess is often seen in his parties. This decadence is solely due to the illusions he can create.
In an effort to understand the people he meets, Jia loves long conversations. He likes diving deep with others, but refuses to open up about himself. This results in many casual friends, but none incredibly close. He can be a difficult person to deal with; often with very high highs and low lows. Jia is also very particular about what he believes is good and bad and will not waiver or be understanding when it comes to those closest to him. Ronan Cleirigh (Former Mentor): Ronan was the first person who saw Jia’s potential. Jia had begun training under a witch in Saigon when he came across Ronan. He had a sense that Ronan was exactly what he needed. It took him months, but he eventually got Ronan to consider taking him in. His life truly started under his tutelage.
Judson Cleirigh (Old Friend): Judson and Jia have been friends for a long time. He deeply respects Judson and his drive and ambition to help cure the magical world.

Ken McStevens (Former Mentee): Ken used to mentor under Jia until he tried to feed off of Ronan. Ronan had given Jia and Ken an ultimatum, Ken’s death or Ronan would take over as his mentor. The choice was obvious. Jia is still annoyed at the ultimatum, but knew better than to argue with Ronan. He’s doing well with his new mentor and Jia sees him for Charms lessons.
Belle Cunningham (New Friend): He only met Belle within the last few years when Sid brought her along to one of Jia’s parties. He immediately felt a kinship with her; whether it is their love for their mothers or having a dramatic partner. Belle is one of the first invites to his parties, and he’s considered offering a spot to her for her Advanced levels.
Flower Hanes (Friend): There is something so endearing about Flower. He loves that she stood up to the Wilhelms and is trying to go about her life in her own way. There is also something that reminds him of Garrett in her that he gravitates toward.
Scorpius Getta (Friend): Jia very quickly embraced the vampires and their establishments. He appreciates those who go outside of the box and can always find something to chat about with Getta.
Lawrence Cocci (Friend): Fire starters have a tendency to be destructive, even when their powers are blocked, as they are at one of Jia’s parties. He only recently began inviting Lawrence around, and so far he hasn’t disappointed.
Gretchen Sims (Life of the Party): Gretchen always brings hordes of people into his parties, crossing all species. He thinks that if she focused on her ability to bring people together, she could be a major player in unifying Chicago’s supernatural community.

Carter Bialar (Semi-Regular Partier): Carter Bialar has been showing up at his parties lately. It’s a shocking turn of pace, but one he hopes will lead to other animal shifters feeling more comfortable with him and his parties.
Duke Thornton (Friend): Jia has always preferred Duke to Aries. They befriended one another while Jia was still in his beginning levels and have maintained that friendship ever since. Jia likes Peter, but wonders what will happen once Duke gets his powers back.

Dakota English (Party Goer): Heaven help the DDs, especially when it is the intoxicated person’s partner. Dakota never seems to fully relax at the parties, and his guess is that it has to do with her boyfriend always over doing it. He feels for her and willingly ignores the snooping she tries to do.
Churchill Darling (Party Goer): Churchill is a frequent party goer, usually hanging around Patch. He’s able to charm the room easily and tends to play well with others.

Talia Cleirigh (Friend): Jia has gone to Talia for help removing and altering dreams that he’s had, specifically about Garrett cheating on him. She hasn’t commented on the dreams she removed, which he is incredibly grateful for.

Meowses (Siamese/Familiar): Meowses was given to Jia as a birthday present by Judson. He’d mentioned getting a cat for nearly a decade, but wasn’t sure he’d pick out a cat he’d want forever. The Cleirighs got tired of hearing it and picked out a cat at random for him. It turned out to be his perfect match in cat form and they’ve been together for about two centuries.
