MAJOR UNWIND SPOILER

As a dropout philosophy major i feel like i can talk about this.

In unwind chapter 61 when we see the process of unwinding firsthand and Rolland's consciousness fades out his last thoughts are "I am" or something like that. He thinks, therefore he is. But once he enters the "divided state" he can no longer form actual thoughts which means he is not. Like the way unwinding is marketed as a happy option for troubled kids is genius propaganda, because almost everyone is at least familiar with the thought mentioned above yet in the unwind universe it's accepted as general truth that you still exist in the divided state. When in reality unwound kids cannot be considered as existing.

i dont usually bother taking abt ship stuff bc for the most part i never have strong opinions abt any of it but poor risa has gotten sm hate over the entirety of the series even tho i like her chara (by itself) n the way it developed. her in argentine arc was like her shining defining moment for me n i understand her purpose as someone, if not the love interest, who changes and sincerely loves dark for dark, the first and only to choose 'him' over his host even after learning that he wasn't human. i just cant ship it cause im a do-not-separate-them, they're-always-each-other person when it comes to dark n dai and risa had rejected daisuke from the start. so. yknow. yknow? no matter how much she loves dark the way she's always telling / asking him to be just hers and 'only' hers doesn't work out, esp when in baku arc that sort of sentiment was literally actively hurting daisuke by its inversed 'you don't need daisuke. why can't you only be dark, and just dark?' message. the thing about dark is that even if he never admits it, he also belongs utterly to daisuke, just as daisuke belongs nigh utterly to him. he can't properly fall into a healthy love with someone who only loves back half of himself either.

been thinking about the new pkmn legends taking place in kalos (especially in lumiose which btw brought so much memories of that place. its a maze. and i just remembered how i used the outer ring just so ik where im going into the inners of the city itself 😭)

the more i also had been thinking about risa darrell, my pkmn oc i had since pkmn xy came out. formerly lorissa but now they're Risa, and if i had keep playing as them to this day, they would be a married former champion who takes pokemon racing with tyrant their tyrantrum along with their wife- helga who is a photographer journalist. yes helga doesn't change her name other than, slapping galar as her birth place wheezes

anyway. thinking about risa's family actually, 'cause afaik risa moved to kalos was bc its where risa's mom's family lives in. the only reason for this was bc the old lorissa design i had? i gave that design to risa's mom which had made risa... uhhh their dad is kanto-hoenian and her mom's kalosian but they met and lived in sinnoh which is where risa had met helga there as kids but then moved away to kalos when risa's dad get a job transfer.

therefore. i guess. risa's grandma? grandparent? great-grandparent? could potentially had involved in helping with the city. who knows-

"it's you." ( the stars promised. i've come home to you. ) her heart aches. threatens to leap from her chest into parvati's hands. I don't think we appreciate Sona and Risa's relationship enough. They've stayed by each other's side for years. They fill each other's life with light, knowing they're there for each other. They're loyal to one another to a fault, never parted. Whether the fandom pictures their love to be romantic or platonic or something else completely, we know it's so deep it can never be broken. They honestly have one of the strongest bonds in the whole TLH series.

Just a really small thing but Tam did a wonderful bit of selling here. Tam’s genuinely one of the best sellers in the company and she put Risa over strong here (I kinda wish they’d gone to a draw but that’s besides the point). ANYWAYS, this bit of selling. Tam gets to the ropes after struggling in the submission for AGES. She wraps herself around the bottom rope, clinging onto it for dear life, and when Risa tries to pull her away, she keeps grabbing on and viciously shakes her head, just like she’s begging her “No, please keep away!”

Little things like that really put Risa over strong imo, like if Tam’s scared of what she can do then I’m sure as heck scared of Risa.
