Mientras tu papá escuchaba Nirvana a escondidas, esta banda,contemporánea a la escopeta de Kurt hacia volar la cabeza de miles jóvenes ingleses durante la hora del té. Un álbum en donde los músicos pasaron tanto tiempo viendo los pedales que los productores nunca pudieron verles la cara, pero que trajo consigo una serie de canciones etéreas que hablaban de amor y te hacían recordar las sesiones con el psiquiatra a las que tuviste que ir por culpa de tu ex. Terminarás envuelto en una atmósfera de sensaciones tan gratificantes y tranquilizantes, que no querrás escuchar otra cosa por un buen tiempo (a menos que tu madre te grite por estar encerrado en tu habitación escuchando este álbum a todo volumen). Desde el inicio hasta el final cada una de las canciones tiene la capacidad de mantenerte flotando en el espacio exterior (ten cuidado con los asteroides). movie review (esp)
aquí está mi review de la pelicula de comedia de 1964, Dr.Strangelove y como aprendí b*mba
la película juega con el concepto de Mutual Assured Destruction o Destrución Mutua Asegurada, un concepto relevante a la sociedad actual.
a pesar de ser una situación exagerada, la película crea un escenario en donde un hombre hace lo que se le da la gana y termina matando a todos. Aún así creo que el concepto y la intención siguen prevalentes.
dentro del contexto original, MAD era el miedo que los humanos mismos acabarían con la humanidad con la ayuda del armamento nuclear de los gobiernos.
creo que ahora, el miedo que se siente no es hacia armamentos nucleares, sino a otros problemas actuales como el cambio climático. Mi generación en especial se ve bastante desmotivada gracias a la idea que no hay sentido hacer mucho porque creen que la destrucción del mundo está asegurado por problemas en los que participamos todos.
al mismo tiempo, la sociedad en general no tiene mucho poder para evitar o cambiar algo, y similar al contexto original de MAD, las personas con poder son las que deciden y la gente vive los efectos.
creo que es importante reconocer el tema, no solo porque es tema del pasado y el presente, pero también porque nos recuerda que no somos indestructibles y que debemos realizar acciones para evitar estar en estas situaciones.
el concepto de MAD debería de ser discutido para que la gente reconozca el impacto mental, el hecho que la historia se repite, y que hay mucha gente que tiene demasiado poder, razón por la cual debemos asegurar nuestros derechos cuando podamos.
en general creo que nadie debería tener tanto poder
