Even if it was something that I was falling out of love with it breaks my heart that Rooster Teeth is now no more. I'm sorry for all the creatives that got screwed over by David Z, and all the creative and beautiful projects that might never see the light of day. I will always be grateful for all the laughs, inspiration and creativity I witnessed with them.

People really acted surprised that RWBY went "The military is bad actually" in V7-8, as if it wasn't coming from the Red vs. Blue company, the show where the military is an evil organisation that uses low-ranked soldiers as living target dummies for their training programs and the most heroic of the Freelancers are all deserters in one way or another.

I mean for fuck's sake, Monty Oum himself animated the episode where Tex, York, and North turn against Project Freelancer and desert. And that was the season that ended with the Red Trailer!

For everything wrong with Rooster Teeth as a company, "The military is bad, actually" is something they've long held true to.

So giving them robo arms to hold their shit has been the best decision ever (info after imgs)

So im going absolutely feral about this AU, so in order to make sure they can still fight their war with guns i gave them robotic arms attached to the thingys on their armour.

Sim Troopers and regular soldiers have about what Church/Sarge wear, while Freelancers and special ops like Locus and Felix are closer to Tex. Hiding specific markings + making them more resilient.

Also please enjoy this height reference I've made (Locus gets honorary Red bc he deserves it). Some heights have been changed to be larger, in Lopez and Tex's case have been drastically changed as they are robots. Nerd stuff about who is what below.

Second to last scene of the show grif and simmons make a passing comment to sarge about having been married literally the entire time. Post-credits scene is grif and simmons begging whatever resident a.i. they've got to please please please alter their records to gaslight sarge, it would be so fucking funny. A.I. points out that at this point they should just actually get married. Grif and simmons look at each other, look at the a.i., look at each other, shrug and say yeah why not. Very last into-the-black joke of the whole series is grif saying "........hey simmons. Do you want kids?"
