Thanks to the suggestion of that one anon, Horseman of the Apocalypse! Alastor is a need, not a want. I also hc that Alastor has a decent physical resemblance to Eve (as a human) and Roo (in his demon form, which, well, that can already be seen).
To take it to our usual material, imagine that as Lucifer and Alastor slowly warm up to each other and Alastor takes his walls down just a bit, that's when Lucifer starts noticing that something is Off(tm) about him. He was too annoyed and set up in his presence before, but now he's realizing that Alastor really is abnormally powerful even by sovreign overlord standards, he's noting names in official registers that track present and former overlords and how none of the ones Alastor got to seem to have ever been sighted again. That seven year gap keeping niggling at his anxiety.
Most of all, once his features aren't constantly twisted in consternation around Lucifer, the latter has the uncomfortable realization that Alastor has the same eyes as and smiles-REALLY smiles-like a certain lady he'd known, before everything had gone to shit.

I tried out a new linework process for this one, where I left the sketch in a rougher state before inking. It saved me some time! And I feel line the inking in this feels more natural somehow.
This is my first time drawing Nick in almost two years! And for a colored Nick, it's been almost six! I adjusted his design a bit, giving him some styled hair and matching cheek fluff. I'm pretty happy with how that turned out. :3
Happy Leap Day everyone, especially to anyone celebrating their birthday today! :D

I was thinking of what would be the most unhinged au that I could do without involving pregnancy or whatever and I came up with 2 so far. Enjoy >:3c
1. Vox is Alastors younger half brother on Alastors dad's side. Vox was the legitimate child while Alastor was not. Alastor killed their father after he tried to kills Al's mom. Vox is still obsessed with Alastor but is the only one that knows their relation. Alastor does not know or just doesn't care cause he never considered their father his father.
2. Alastor as the root of evil. This one is more complicated in that Alastor is very distant from humanity and sees them more as toys/pawns he doesn't see them as living things. The reason he's at the hotel is because he wants entertainment. Alastor knows the rules of heaven and hell cause he wrote them along with his sibling (cause in the story there was a white figure as well I've nicknamed them the soul of virtues cause they aren't mentioned as far as I am aware). Alastor is not more powerful per se he's just has more control of the rules bur he's the consequences of humanities actions and therefore can only be as powerful as the strongest human.
I'm 90% sure I can make them more unhinged so I'll keep working on it.

I have a wild theory regarding Alastor. Here goes:
I don't think Lillith owns Alastor's soul. Instead, I think it belongs to Roo.
^ This bitch.
We know that Alastor and Lillith have both been missing for 7 years. But if Alastor is back, why isn't Lillith? She should be just as, if not more powerful.
Additionally, Lillith owning Alastor's soul doesn't explain the absence. And if Alastor can, among other things, say "Fuck you" to Lucifer's face, why would Lillith be any different?
For Alastor to be "on a leash" as it were, the person holding it would have to be in a whole other tier of powerful.
Enter Roo, stage left. We don't know much about her. Vivzie has said that she's a "looming threat in the distance", and that Roo is the character she's most excited to get to, but that it'll be a long time before thathappens(courtesy of the wiki). So she'll likely be an antagonist down the line, and a big one at that.
Other than that, her design is very evocative of the Eldritch and Lovecraftian, which is a kind of power we haven't seen in the show thus far. Her design is also visually distinct from anything else, which implies that Roo herself is a very different kind of creature.
On a final note, her design does feature chains. Though they are bound to her body, there's a possibility that she keeps others in metaphorical chains. But that's a footnote.
So! I propose that seven years ago, Roo captured Alastor and either captured Lillith or killed her, which would explain why she's still missing. I'm speculating that Roo sent Alastor back out into Hell for... some reason, I'm not really sure. Maybe to ensure the hotel's safety? Maybe it has something to do with a ritual or something.
Yeah, it's quite the stretch, but I like it.

I'm not entirely sure if it's canon or not, but I've seen the idea that sinners in hell can't conceive children, which makes sense. but also. Lilith is a sinner, correct?
which leads me to the theory: what if Lucifer and Lilith made a deal/agreement with Roo/Eve for her to somehow help them have Charlie? what if. they have a deal with her or owe her/gave her something for that.
