Ideas for modern wallpaper design
Abstract Wallpaper may sound like an oxymoron if you associate wallcoverings with that outdated, stuffy, impossible-to-remove chintz from your great grandmother's house. But Wood Wallpaper , and perhaps the design industry in general, is simultaneously loosening up and embracing nostalgia. Translation: Modern wallpaper is trending (maybe it never even went away), and we're here for it. As Tribal Black Gold Wallpaper and wallpaper extraordinaire Danielle Colding tells House Beautiful, “everything that’s old is new again,” and “there are no rules anymore.” Learn how to freshen up any old wallpaper with some clever styling tips and get inspired by gorgeous rooms that revolve around modern wallpaper with the twenty examples below. Stylish minimalism: In the bedroom, wallpaper the headboard of the bed with dark herringbone wood-look wallpaper. Chinoiserie Nature Wallpaper remaining walls should be painted in a pleasant cornflower blue. Those wishing to create a sense of magical depth could choose a wallpaper with a black background and a silver pattern for the bathroom. Botanical Wallpaper are presented in a glossy white. Metallic colours: Modern wallpapers in trendy metallic colours such as rose gold, copper bronze or aluminium lend the room a touch of elegance and provide subtle luxury. Match Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper of your home accessories to the colour of the wallpaper. Vintage Wallpaper as its own universe: WCs don't have to be boring and functional. Wallpaper of Gold Lattice in bright hues of purple are just as much an option as touches of gold or modern wallpaper prints in the style of antique masterpieces. Floral and botanical patterns in XXL: A feature wall in black/grey/white with a soft or abstractly drawn large-scale flower or plant design is all that is needed to create a fascinatingly artistic atmosphere in the room, e.g. in the living and dining room or in the office.

6 Things Pros Wish You Knew About Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper
Peel-and-stick wallpaper is marketed as the perfect solution for renters and fickle decorators alike. Slap it on the wall, and if you don’t like it, take it down and start again with a new look. But is Art Deco Rose Gold Black Wallpaper that easy? Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper and DIY experts say there’s a little more to it, and over the years, they’ve learned a thing or two about getting peel-and-stick wallpaper right. Here are the six things that the pros wish you knew about peel-and-stick wallpaper, from application to removal. Be careful on matte painted surfaces. The name “peel-and-stick” can give DIYers a false sense of security as they cover their walls in colorful, temporary patterns. Interior designer Sarah Barnard warns that peel-and-stick paper can sometimes actually damage painted surfaces, particularly those with matte and flat finishes. “While Geometric Art Deco Gold White Wallpaper -porous surfaces are more resistant to the adhesive in peel-and-stick papers, keep in mind there’s always the possibility of damage and necessary drywall repair after removal,” she says. For best results, make sure you don’t apply peel-and-stick to freshly painted surfaces, which are more delicate; instead, give the paint a few weeks to cure, which will help prevent chipping and peeling upon removal of the peel-and-stick. Temperature can make or break application. Even if you go in with all the required wall prep — sanding, cleaning, drying — there’s still one aspect of prep that can evade even the most experienced DIYers: temperature. Geometric Art Deco Blue Beige Wallpaper ’s the factor that, unfortunately, you can’t entirely control, but it plays a critical role in the application process. Too-humid, too-hot, and even too-cold air can present issues for application; they’ll all affect the adhesive, which could have trouble gripping the wall you’re applying to. Additionally, Maegan Bucur, writer and editor-in-chief at Rhythm of the Home, recommends making sure your paper is in sync with your home. “In Black Gold Geometric Wallpaper , the wallpaper itself needs to be the same temperature as the room it is installed in for at least a day,” she says. Avoid storing paper in a car, garage, or other uninsulated space, and instead, let it acclimate to temperature in the room where you plan to install it. It’s cheaper than traditional paper. If you’ve ever scrolled the internet for peel-and-stick wallpaper, you know that it’s typically much less expensive than traditional wallpaper. In many cases, that’s partly because the rolls are smaller, but, regardless, there’s still a price difference. Plus, there’s the labor cost savings, since many DIYers can tackle the peel-and-stick process on their own, with limited tools and materials (no paste, rollers, sponges, or smoothers needed). It’s not as durable as traditional wallpaper, though. Since peel-and-stick wallpaper is often advertised as a renter-friendly alternative, it hasn’t necessarily been built to last. “Contractors will bring up the fact that peel-and-stick wallpaper is not as durable or long-lasting as PVC or coated vinyl,” Bucur says. However, she adds, “For people who want to change the paper on a regular basis, that can actually be a blessing in disguise.” If you’re someone who likes to transform the look of your home every year or two, peel-and-stick is the way to go. Monochrome Embossed Wallpaper are an issue. With traditional wallpaper, you can often smooth out any wrinkles, creases, or bubbles that come up while the paper is still wet. It’s not quite as easy with the vinyl-like texture of peel-and-stick. Paper may come off the roll wrinkled — particularly if it’s a budget-friendly brand — and there’s little hope of going back. You can choose to ignore it or cut that section off entirely. As for Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper and bubbles that form while you’re applying the paper to the wall, patience is required. Apply a small section of paper at a time and use a crisp edge — like a credit card — to help iron out any bumps before moving on. There are so many uses beyond walls. Removable wallpaper can be used for makeovers big and small. It can become a go-to DIY material for projects from drawer liners to furniture glow-ups to bookshelf backdrops. And when Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper get tired of the look, you can peel the paper off and start fresh.

Wallpaper Ideas For The Home Office
In light of recent events, millions of employees found themselves working at home for the first time. Many entrepreneurs have been working from home for years, and their home offices have been the perfect balance of productivity and comfort. They know that even a small space can be a fertile garden for business growth. Unlike corporate cubicles, the home office is entirely customizable, so choosing a great wallpaper can turn your home into the workspace you’ve always wanted. Whether you want your home office to be your personalized hobby haven, a trend-setting creative zone, or the pinnacle of productivity, proper design can turn your dreams into a reality. We’ve matched ten key workplace attributes with new wallpaper ideas to turn your home office into the most inspirational corner of your home. Focus Are you easily distractible? Fidgety? Often interrupted? Working at home has plenty of advantages, but life’s daily distractions are not among them. Get in the zone with home office design that puts your mind at ease. Choose relaxing colors, straight lines, and clean surfaces to erase the day’s diversions. Delicate neutrals like these vertical stripes are distraction-proof while still adding interest to your room. If your home office doubles as a study space, you could play up the theme with a print full of books. For a more subtle approach, we like this nautical chart pattern that would coordinate well with nearly any decorative taste. Serenity High-stress jobs take a lot out of a person. Even at home, taxing jobs take their toll. When Black Gold Geometric Wallpaper find a moment to look away from the computer screen, a busy wallpaper background might not help you regain your calm. A better choice would be a relaxing blue or a serene green with an interesting texture or subtle design. This timeless botanical pattern with plenty of soothing white space makes a pastoral escape from the daily grind. Maybe warm colors or rich textures bring you peace. Cool colors may work for some, but if you prefer to feel cozy and snug in your study, try rich reds or browns. This weathered oak panel printed wallpaper is a comforting neutral with the added textural interest of faux woodgrain. Energy A low-key room is great for relaxing and reducing distraction, but if you need your home office to perk you up and ready to face the day, bold is the way to go! Bright colors and enthusiastic geometrics get your energy up. Try an exciting color with a lot of visual activity to keep your mind active and generating new ideas. If your home is generally decorated with a reserved tone, spice up your office with adventurous choices. “Geometric shapes and patterns are being featured heavily in modern design plans, and it can tie into a classic, old-school design plan as well as more minimalist plans. A unique pattern can become the focal point of any room,” says designer Tiffany Brooks. Geometric Art Deco Blue Beige Wallpaper think this dynamic pottery motif fits the bill perfectly! Balance the busyness of this pattern with smooth lines and a tidy workspace or use it as an accent wall. Play up Art Deco Rose Gold Black Wallpaper with furnishings to match or try a punch of contrasting colors for even more inspiration. Balance Balancing work life with home life is every worker’s biggest challenge. It’s essential to keep work at work, but it becomes complicated when your office is part of your home. If you have a separate room for your home office, highlight the shift with unique wallpaper that stands out from the rest of the house. Try a color that isn’t used elsewhere or a pattern that speaks to the type of work you do. Even a different motif in the same color palette will be enough to help you mentally shift gears. Maybe the “home office” is really a multi-purpose room or guest bedroom. In that case, separating the work area from the public area may help keep your mind on task. An open floor plan can make it even more difficult to keep your two lives separate. Setting up your laptop in a tucked away corner while the rest of the house buzzes around you may be convenient, but it’s important to be able to step away from work at the end of the day. Define your work zone with your own distinctive wallpaper. “Wallpaper is also a great way to demarcate smaller areas within an open space,” says House Beautiful’s Dani Arps, and we like this delicious mustard floral pattern for a cozy creative work zone. Quality Your successful business ventures deserve the best. Luxurious naturally-sourced wallpapers like cork, grasscloth, or natural wood veneers are a perfect way to enjoy the fruits of your labor in your home office. Monochrome Embossed Wallpaper -quality papers are much more than wallcoverings -- they’re centerpieces. What better place than the home office to explore the highest quality design with carefully crafted natural materials? Handsome wood veneers and eco-friendly cork will last a lifetime. Inimitable grasscloth is handmade from several varieties of grasses and plants, making each roll and application unique. Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper in a wide range of colors and printed patterns from Wallpaper Boulevard, wallpapers from organic sources are varied and full of visual and textural interest. Individuality One of the best things about working from home is the escape from the cubicle. Your home office is your space. Without corporate restrictions, you’re free to customize your office and reflect the things you love. If your passion is travel, keep your eye on the prize with fresh wallpaper that’s covered with vintage luggage tags. If you’d rather be gardening, this fresh green floral print will inspire you while you work. Explore Wallpaper Boulevard’s many woodland options for hunters, fishers, and animal lovers. Even if your favorite hobbies are a bit outside the box, a splash of colorful specialty wallpaper can make you feel more at home while you work. Innovation If your career has your thumb on the pulse of today’s tech trends, you’ll need sleek colors to impress. Black, white, and gray all speak to modernity and innovative ideas. We love metallics and foils for a gleaming surface in the contemporary home. These silver angles shine in a room for cutting edge creators -- the sharp angles inspire anyone from fashion designers to app developers. For faux texture, Screwed Up is a unique choice for the modern home office. Integrity Do you invite clients to your home office space? Open the door to opportunity with an elegant office that demonstrates your integrity. Choose a structured motif that embodies your character and embraces your clients’ needs. A design that looks simple from a distance, but is intricate up close is a great way to represent your business acumen. This gold and black lattice is a perfect choice for an office space that inspires you and your clients with a sense of creative readiness. A shimmering silver metallic wallpaper shows you in your best light a modern home office. Some clients will prefer to do business with a family-owned company that has withstood the test of time. Classic designs like scrolls, florals, and antiques indicate a well-established brand. Choose an unobtrusive pattern paired with family heirlooms to showcase your generational business. Creativity Not all home offices are built for data entry. Artists, writers, musicians, designers, and other creators find inspiration in their home offices -- blank, unadorned walls probably won’t spark many genius ideas. Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper is a fast way to get the creative juices flowing. Take your home office space as an opportunity to speak to your inner muse and choose a wallpaper that ignites your creative passion. Any recording artist would feel inspired in a space dedicated to music with this modern wallpaper; the flexible gray and white color palette is spiked with yellow arrows to move you forward. Press play on your imagination! Performance Make the most of a small workplace with well-chosen wallpaper. Tiffany Brooks offers some great color advice for expanding a small space: “Dark colors are usually used when creating a warm and cozy feel. Using Geometric Art Deco Gold White Wallpaper , especially on the walls, brighten up the place and make it feel bigger. But that doesn’t mean you can’t add a pop of color to give your walls some personality.” When your desk and decor are all brown, black, or gray, enliven your home office with fresh color and visual interest, like this pink bamboo trellis pattern. Rough and tumble wallpapers can take anything you throw at them -- literally. Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper are washable, scrubbable, and highly durable. Wallpaper Boulevard carries a rainbow of hardwearing wallpapers for any home office. We think washable faux grasscloth paper strikes a great balance between style and function. If you’ve recently joined the ranks of millions of people who now work from home, mark your productive territory with unique home office wallpaper. Whether you prefer to coordinate with the rest of your home, but switch up the color palette, or break away from the grind with bold colors and intricate patterns, Wallpaper Boulevard has the style for you.

Wallpaper Ideas For The Living Room
The living room is where the family spends most of their waking hours at home, so the wallpaper you choose will be the backdrop for all your family photos and memories. Decorating this room involves some major decisions, but choosing the wallpaper doesn’t have to be a difficult choice. First Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper need to decide your level of formality. Is your living room for you, or is it for your guests? Do you want a neutral room to last a lifetime, or do you want to use the living room to showcase the best parts of your family’s personality and tastes? Next, consider durability. Do you have rough and tumble kids, or is your household tidy and reserved? Nylon and non woven wallpapers are washable, so these are probably your best options if there’s a potential for crayon wall art. For a home full of adults, the living room can be a great place for luxurious specialty wallpapers. We’ve highlighted some of our favorite living room wallpaper ideas here. Which style suits you best? Formal Front Room Traditional wallpaper patterns like damask, toile, and classic flowers are perfect for a formal living room. Design your historic home around priceless antiques, but use 21st century wallpaper. Modern wallpaper is more durable, easier to apply, and is readily available in practically any style you like. Today, you can design your home to look historically accurate without worrying about antique wallpaper. Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper with subtle damask in a neutral color palette makes this champagne living room the very picture of luxury. Art Deco Rose Gold Black Wallpaper are beautiful, but formal doesn’t have to mean traditional! Black Gold Geometric Wallpaper living room to mid-century chic and beyond. These beautiful gold foil wallpapers catch the light against a backdrop of rich, contemporary colors. Minimal decor and sleek design perfects this modern look. Comfortable Den Maybe fragile antiques and modern geometrics are too serious for your taste. Maybe Geometric Art Deco Gold White Wallpaper call your living room the den and really understand the concept of “hygge.” For you, comfort is king, and wallpapering your living room calls for warmth and a sense of hominess. Natural colors and textures will make your living room the perfect place to settle in. Faux wood and stone are the perfect way to bring your love of the outdoors inside. Wood paneling and shiplap are popular in living rooms around the world, and Wallpaper Boulevard’s faux wood make the look accessible, customizable, and unique. For an urban comfort look, stone and exposed brick are great choices, but they can be heavy and irregular. Faux stone wallpaper takes away any irregularities in the stone while providing a lightweight look to an old classic. Florals and leaf patterns bring a sense of softness into a room. Gentle greenery is welcome in any home, and leafy wallpaper is the easiest way to bring a natural look to your living room. From traditional roses to flourishing tropical leaves, Wallpaper Boulevard’s refreshing selection is sure to satisfy any plant-lover. Family Room Fun Family rooms are just that -- a room for family time, fun, and relaxation. A formal look may not be appropriate for families with fun-loving kids and pets. Pick a wallpaper that specifies that it’s washable or scrubbable. That way, you’ll be able to clean up accidents and spills that come along with all the fun. This home is cozy and fun with an amusing pug pattern from Wallpaper Boulevard’s Madcap Cottage collection. And don’t be afraid to get silly in your living room! If your favorite color is bright orange, no need to settle for pastels. The living room is the hub of your family’s day, so feel free to express your personality. Bright colors, vivid geometrics, and family-friendly patterns are right at home in the living room. Textural Interest Exploring textured wallpapers in the living room is the perfect way to add depth. Touchable faux woodgrain not only looks like wood, but has its signature texture. These geometric diamonds are raised for visual interest that plays with light. Just like the fabric, linen wallpaper feels woven. Ridged wallpaper hung vertically makes the ceilings look taller and the room looks bigger. These are great options for rooms that don’t need any more visual interest, like this rich red entryway. Check out the subtle coordinating neutral wallpaper on the landing! Silk wallpaper has the look and texture of silk or satin. The discreet sheen brightens any room, adding interest without being ostentatious. From classic embossed florals to rich damask to a subtle sheen, silk wallpaper adds a little something extra to matte prints. Something for Everyone The living room is a shared space, so when one person in the household likes bold stripes and another prefers pastel florals, a compromise must be reached. Neutrals are the first choice for many families. Ivory, white, or tonal eggshell wallpapers appeal to everyone. This pearly floral wallpaper adds just a touch of visual interest to an otherwise cream wall. Look closely to see the beautiful roses and vines. But if a room full of white walls feels too stark for your family, consider an accent wall. This off white living room pops with intricate blue and cream scrolls. Keep the decor simple along the accent wall, but don’t forget to tie in the dynamic wallpaper color. Structure and Flow For visual interest in a neutral color palette, these tonal geometrics are simultaneously subtle and bold. These two-tone textured geometrics can be used in any style of home. They are modern classics. Geometric Art Deco Blue Beige Wallpaper may be timeless, but a fresh color enlivens any living room. Blue is a classic living room color choice, and these diamond patterns spice up this blue and cream living room. Soothing green lattice looks great in this comfortable modern room. Express Your Passion If your enthusiasm knows no bounds, express yourself in the living room. Wallpaper is available in classic styles, simple geometrics, flowers, textures, and scrolls -- but what about patterns that share your love of books and music? Play/Record is perfect for a musician’s living room. Does your living room look like a library? Find wallpaper that looks like calligraphy or even book print. Life on the beach calls for tropical or nautical prints, like this map pattern. There are hundreds of handsome blue waves, fish, ships, and other nautical themes for lovers of the sea. Animal lovers will adore leopard spots and peacock feathers. Nature-themed options range from intrepid jungle scenes to subtle snakeskin textures. Try a delicate pattern featuring birds in your living room for a sweet look with a twist. But if you’ve ever said, “I’d rather be fishing,” handsome wallpaper will remind you of your love of outdoor sport. Hunters can enjoy birch trees, woodland scenes, or even discreet damask wallpaper with stags hidden in the pattern. Coordinating with Furnishings If your passion or color tastes don’t translate well to your decorating style, consider your taste in furniture. A love of heavy antiques calls for delicate classic patterns, like scrolls or florals with a light touch. If you prefer fine furniture with sleek, straight lines and intense colors, try either more straight lines with bold geometrics or embrace contrast with curving curlicues or trellises. This mid-century paisley embraces color fashioned around retro shapes in the furniture. From Monochrome Embossed Wallpaper , it looks like a neutral, but up close you can see a rainbow of colors. Any colorful decor would coordinate with a pattern like this one. A room with a fireplace may feel like it already has all the decor it can handle, but chances are wallpaper would elevate the feel your living room. Match the color and shape of the mantle with the flow of your wallpaper. It may be a large enough piece that you’ll prefer two-tone neutrals or solid-colored textures. This is the best option if you prefer to hang plenty of art pieces or collect knickknacks. More streamlined styles can handle adventurous wallpaper choices. This living room uses sharp lines against a soft-focused wallpaper pattern to draw the eye to the fireplace and modern furnishings. Still not sure which wallpaper suits your living room best? Don’t worry! Stylecaster says, “wallpapers are such an easy way to elevate your home without doing major renovations, so choose your favorite now, and keep it as long as you love it. You’ll be amazed at how much a few pieces of paper can change the look and feel of a space.” Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper are nearly endless, but there’s little risk in trying out wallpaper in your living room. For some, wallpapering the living room is a commitment; for them, Wallpaper Boulevard offers durable, high-quality papers in timeless patterns that will last a lifetime. But for families whose tastes change like the weather, wallpapering the living room is a fun and easy way to keep your home in style and on-trend.

Tips & Tricks for Hanging Temporary Removable Wallpaper
Hanging traditional wallpaper is daunting, but you can breathe a lot easier when you’ve got the removable and repositionable kind. The fear that you’ll screw up is minimal. Still, it’s helpful to know what you are getting yourself into before you get started. And Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper and tricks are always handy! For this project, we used wallpaper tiles from Hygge & West designed by Laundry called Andalusia in Blush. What You Need Materials Removable Wallpaper Tiles Tools Scissors Level Metal Ruler (optional) Craft Knife Pencil 1. Start by finding a plumb vertical line. Geometric Art Deco Gold White Wallpaper ’t expect your molding or corners to be even, especially in older houses. Always check it to make sure first, so your wallpaper doesn’t wind up skewed. If Black Gold Geometric Wallpaper isn’t, use your level to draw your own plumb vertical line to use as a starting point. Just to be on the safe side, we also drew a straight horizontal line to mark our starting point, which makes it easier to line up the top of the wallpaper. Use a very faint pencil line so it doesn’t show through the wallpaper!! 2. Start by pulling a 2-4″ strip of wallpaper away from its backing. This makes it easier to manage. Pull too much more, and the wallpaper will find a way to stick to itself and make your life harder than it has to be. 3. Line up the edge of the wallpaper with your plumb line(s), and press it firmly onto the surface. 4. Once the top is secure, reach up and under the roll to grab the wallpaper backing. Slowly pull Monochrome Embossed Wallpaper down while you continue pressing the wallpaper onto the wall, smoothing as you go — especially the edges! Sometimes Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper helps to have one person doing the smoothing, and the second person pulling off the backing paper. Tip: When smoothing, work from the center outwards to push any bubbles to the edge of the paper. Since Geometric Art Deco Blue Beige Wallpaper is so forgiving, you can also lift it back up if you get a particularly large unruly air pocket, then start again. 5. Wallpaper tiles are designed to match up perfectly on all sides, so when you’re ready for your next tile, you’ll peel off a little backing from the top and line it up with the bottom edge of the last one you hung. No need to overlap! Just make Art Deco Rose Gold Black Wallpaper that the new tile is not upside down. 6. We worked from right to left and, due to the window placement, we wound up with some small sections of bare wall. To conserve Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper , we cut up one tile and used the left-hand side of that panel to cover the spot above on the right (because those edges lined up). Then we used the remaining right-hand section of the panel to cover up the left-hand bare spot. Continue patching as needed. 7. When you need to go around a window sill or other molding, make a few relief snips in towards the woodwork and smooth the wallpaper into the crease. Trim any excess paper. 8. Trim the wallpaper at the edges, and at the top and the bottom of the walls, with scissors or a craft knife. If you use a knife, lay something metal (a 3′ ruler came in handy for us) behind the paper to protect the walls from getting scored. We made this mistake and, although it wasn’t horrible, it hurts your heart to damage newly plastered walls.

The One Thing You’re Forgetting When You Wallpaper
When you’ve committed to a project that takes time to complete, then you want the end results to look as stunning as you imagined. And usually, getting across that finish line requires paying attention to the details — especially when it comes to something as finicky as peel-and-stick or pasted wallpaper. If you’ve already lined up all the seams perfectly, smoothed out all the air bubbles, and cut the edges as neatly as possible, you may think you’re done. And you can be! But there’s one more step that will take your wallpaper project from good to great: giving your outlet covers the wallpapered treatment, too. In her space, the gorgeous deep blue botanical wallpaper she installed was getting interrupted by a stark white outlet cover that stuck out like a sore thumb. Instead of letting Black Gold Geometric Wallpaper , she gave it a quick makeover to help it blend in. Maclaskey began by removing the cover with a screwdriver so she could safely work on it on a flat surface. Then, she grabbed some leftover wallpaper, which she compared to the paper on the wall so that she could match the pattern exactly. Geometric Art Deco Gold White Wallpaper placed the paper over the outlet, wrapping the edges so that it had a seamless finish (a small snip in the corners ensured they laid flat) before taping. Some commenters were worried about fire safety, but as long as the paper doesn’t extend more than 1/8 inch or so past the under-edge of the outlet cover, and it does not touch the plug receptacles, this is a safe upgrade. If Art Deco Rose Gold Black Wallpaper want something more permanent, you can also use Mod Podge or spray adhesive to attach the wallpaper to the outlet cover. And don’t forget: Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper can give the same treatment to switch plates, too. Completing this small task can have professional-level rewards on the overall appearance of your wallpaper project. And if Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper want to take your project the extra mile, don’t be afraid to conceal screw heads with a coordinating paint marker.

Which wallpaper is long lasting?
There are Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper of wallpaper to choose from. New types of wallpaper, from peel and stick to adhesive, and from reusable to removable, have been invented. When selecting the best wallpaper option for your home or business, there are many factors that should be taken into account. A major question to think about, is whether or not you want the wallpaper to last. A good, durable wallpaper can last for decades. There are some historic with wallpaper that has lasted over 100 years! But what kind of wallpaper is the right choice? Geometric Art Deco Gold White Wallpaper might surprise you. If you are looking for a long lasting and durable option, the clear winner is solid vinyl wallpaper. That’s right – the wallpaper type that was frequently used in kitchens and bathrooms in the 60’s and 70’s, is the most durable option today. What most people don’t know, however, is that vinyl wallcovering has improved drastically over the years. Today, vinyl wallcovering is not limited to kitchen and bathroom walls. There are different types of vinyl paper that can be used for different purposes. Paper-backed/Solid Sheet vinyl. This option is typically a patterned wallpaper designed for residential rooms. Paper-backed vinyl is stain and grease resistant, and is very easy to clean. Do NOT select a paper-backed wallpaper for covering a bathroom wall, or in any room that generates a lot of steam. Too much moisture can weaken the paper, and cause the vinyl to separate from the paper back. This option can sometimes be hard to install, as the vinyl layer peels away from the paper backing. Monochrome Embossed Wallpaper can sometimes peel off in small pieces, which makes the installation process longer. Fabric-backed vinyl. Fabric-backed vinyl is arguably the most durable type of vinyl wallpaper as well, and is made of extremely dense fabric. It is typically sold in different color options or textures, since it is extremely difficult to print patterns onto the fabric. This wallpaper type can be very heavy, so is often a bit difficult to install. However, Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper can last many years and can be installed anywhere you choose. Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper is optimal for areas such as hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, and stairways, and is seen in many hotel rooms as well. Digitally printed vinyl. Generally, this option is custom designed and printed with a realistic photo image of your choice. A digitally printed paper typically serves as a mural, and is able to be used in any area. This option is typically a very thin paper, and will require a paper liner to be placed underneath to keep the placement as smooth as possible. Vinyl-coated paper. A vinyl-coated wallpaper, technically is not vinyl. Rather, Black Gold Geometric Wallpaper is a wallpaper that is sprayed with a top layer of liquid vinyl. This is the best option for those looking for a detailed and patterned wallpaper. Art Deco Rose Gold Black Wallpaper is durable and cleans easily as well. No matter which option you choose, a wallpaper is sure to change the look of any room. If you are looking for a long-lasting, and extremely durable wallpaper with an extra layer of protection, a solid vinyl wallcovering is the best option to choose. Popular Solid Vinyl Collections The following a list of the most popular solid vinyl collections. Geometric Art Deco Blue Beige Wallpaper is a great starting point if you are looking for the most durable residential wallpaper on the market.

And tips and tricks are always handy! Don’t expect your molding or corners to be even, especially in older houses. Always check it to make sure first, so your wallpaper doesn’t wind up skewed. If it isn’t, use your level to draw your own plumb vertical line to use as a starting point. Just to be on Geometric Art Deco Wallpaper , we also drew a straight horizontal line to mark our starting point, which makes it easier to line up the top of the wallpaper. Slowly pull it down while you continue pressing the wallpaper onto the wall, smoothing as you go — especially the edges! Sometimes it helps to have one person doing the smoothing, and the second person pulling off the backing paper. Tip: When smoothing, work from the center outwards to push any bubbles to the edge of the paper. Since Geometric Art Deco Blue Beige Wallpaper is so forgiving, you can also lift it back up if you get a particularly large unruly air pocket, then start again. 5. Removable Peel Stick Wallpaper are designed to match up perfectly on all sides, so when you’re ready for your next tile, you’ll peel off a little backing from the top and line it up with the bottom edge of the last one you hung. Geometric Art Deco White Gray Wallpaper to overlap! Just make sure that the new tile is not upside down. 6.
