Fu’s possessiveness over the things that he considers ‘his’. Growing up, Dabura raised him in an environment that punished him by having his things taken away if he disobeyed. Coupled with his lessons in not valuing ‘inconsequential’ things like people, he grew to cling onto the objects and baubles that he had and began to react violently to anyone that threatened to take away or otherwise mess with his things. He’s been working on his clinginess and possessiveness the more he interacts with people and lets them into his home, but rest assured— if someone were to trespass into his home and start touching his things without his permission, he’d be ornery at best.

Following up from the above point- Dabura raised Fu to embrace his anger and channel that energy into destructive tendencies... for better or worse. At its worst, Fu will find himself rebuilding or scavenging machines and other doodads in the remains of the room he demolished and/or incinerated. Nowadays, he’s been working more on handling his anger from the positive influences in his life, though it doesn’t stop the occasional table flip or hole in the wall from happening.

He is very ticklish. Under the arms, his sides, his neck- get him. He’s vulnerable and he will scream if you go for his armpits.

He’s an outsider looking in.

Growing up, most of his interactions with Dabura had always been with a purpose- always with an end to meet. Training, eating, tutoring, Dabura made it explicitly clear that Fu was going to one day be a weapon to fight the Time Patrol. Any time after and between these interactions would be in Fu’s lonesome while Dabura went out to amass power from other timelines, growing stronger so that they would stand a chance against Chronoa’s forces.

At the age of four, when he first peered into the time scrolls that his mother had copied and hidden away, he saw them- mortals, people living their mundane daily lives. He would see fighters- Goku, Gohan, alongside many others- fighting for their cities, their civilizations, their world’s safety, and he would see them celebrate their victories.

What would it be like to celebrate with them? To have parties? To have people that would cheer him on and welcome him home? To have company that would welcome him unconditionally?

He wanted that- and so much more.

As he currently understands it— Nope! H-E-Double Hockey Sticks No!

From his observations of Chichi, Videl, and 18 in the main timeline from the Book of the Beginning and End, he’s of the belief that marriage is an arbitrary binding ritual that will make a person a shadow of their former self.

In instances where the dads aren’t deadbeats or butts, the wife gives up everything fighting and their ambitiousness to be a wife and mother. It’s awful, why would anyone want that for themselves and someone they care about??

It doesn’t help that whatever Earth media he’s consumed about marriage often has it depicted as a ‘ball and chain’ on the guy too— and for what? The ability to file your taxes as a pair, raise kids that will end up being neglected by their fathers who end up being man-children being taken care of by their wives?

With regards to same-sex couples— as far as he knows, they don’t have those issues, so it’s... safe? Still wary about marriage’s apparent ‘curse’, though.

However, despite this horribly misguided idea of marriage- He’s a guy that would stick with someone in a committed relationship— til the end of time, if his partner would allow. He would be willing to try it- if his partner was patient enough to explain to him that No, that isn’t how it works, doofus.
