Ahh so I’ve had brain cancer since Feb of 2019 (it’s come back 3 times and i just came home from the hospital yesterday so this is why I’m asking) but Quill has been a huge comfort character to me through this. I’ve always seen him as my older brother and imagining him being there for me (especially since his mom had what I have, probably hits him hard) had played a HUGE part in getting me through this. If it’s okay to ask, how do you think he would react fo his sister figure going through this- like how would be support her? (I know it’s weird to find so much comfort in a fictional character but he’s really helped me through this emotionally tbh)

Oh my god I am sooo sorry you're going through this, my grandpa has been dealing with bone cancer since 2015 and it's been rough for all of us. And hey there is NOTHING wrong with seeking comfort in a fictional character, we all do it here even I do it (though I have multiple comfort characters so it's all a debate of who I want to be my comfort character for that reason or day).

Okay so HC for a sister figure who is going through cancer let's see:

When it's the first time you get the brain tumor, he's first immediately hit with PTSD with his mom.

But he also knows that since you're still young, you're feeling absolutely terrified and can't do this alone.

So you can bet your ass that he is searching across the entire galaxy for the best doctors and medicine that will get rid of your cancer permanately.

When he does, he takes you to them and all it takes is a laser eye surgery like machine that targets the tumor and it goes away.

But a year passes and the tumor comes back.

Peter refuses to let this tumor take you away like it did his mom. You're his little sister and he can't let you suffer like this.

So he finds another set of doctors that suggest a microchip to be implanted that will help target any source of the tumor should it ever come back.

Peter asks you if it's what you want. But you don't trust a microchip because what if it short circuits and does something worse than merely malfunctioning.

With the microchip option off the table, the doctors then suggest a minor surgery that'll not only get rid of the tumor, but enhance your brain waves that'll help strength your body and can even attack any cancer cells that may develop in the future.

So you go with the surgery and Peter is right there with you holding your hand the entire time.

For awhile it seems to work, in fact you almost feel enhanced at your new strength. Even your intelligence seemed to be enhanced as you find yourself helping Rocket out with the ship a lot more than you usually did in the past.

But after 2 years after the surgery, the tumor comes back a third time and this time it's with avengance.

Peter is frantic, he's saved the galaxy multiple times. He defeated his own father who was a FREAKIN PLANET!! And helped defeat the Mad Titian Thanos, but he can't defeat a simple brain tumor!!

But what you tell him is, "It doesn't matter how many doctors I see, or what they'll do. It'll keep coming back".

"But I'm your brother! I've always seen you like my sister and I'm supposed to protect you!"

"Peter, you did everything humanly possible. Hell if we were back on Earth, there wouldn't be as many options as we've had here. But cancer is something that is purely universal that not even alien intelligence can beat."

"Isn't it supposed to be me that's comforting you, I mean this has came back on you three times already."

"I think you also need to know this so that you can heal from your experience with this."

Peter smiled at you and embraced you.

"What do you need from me?" he asks you.

"Not doctors, I just need you Pete."

"I'll do my best. But if I can't help you, then we're seeking professional help, deal?"

"Deal." you guys do your secret handshake with one another.

As promised, Peter is there for you.

On your good days he'll merely check up on you asking if there's any dizziness or pain.

And on your bad days, he'll make you as comfortable as possible.

There is no music playing, Drax, Rocket and Groot promised to keep their fighting noises down whenever your headaches grow too much.

If there's ever a time when your sight or hearing goes out, Peter is right there holding your hand squeezing it in code to assure you he's right there.

And you never have to be judged when your nausea hits hard and your vomiting your guts out.

Like a good brother, Peter is there to hold your hair back and rubbing your back in soothing circles.

He'll also try to make sure you're eating and drinking plenty of water. Even when you're not hungry, he at least keeps the food close by.

Even Drax saves you some of his Zarg-nuts.

Though the tumor can't be defeated, Peter knows you're still gonna try and fight it and he's gonna be right there for you win or lose.

Overall I see Peter trying to help you rid of this tumor because he already lost his mother and he wasn't able to do anything about it, but now he can. Even when the tumor keeps coming back, he'll keep fighting but also remember that day with his mom. Terrified and helpless, but no matter what he's there for you like any brother should be.

I wish you all the luck and fighting spirit for you my dear, having a cancer come back multiple times surely can't be easy on you or your family. But you've kept fighting my dear and you are a survivor!! NEVER. Lose that fighting spirit and hopefully one day you'll finally kick this tumor's ass and it'll see that you aren't worth taking down because YOU. ARE. A. SURVIVOR!!

So don't give up my dear, stay strong, always keep fighting, and know you've got support not only from your irl family but your tumblr family here. Good luck my dear!!!

Doctors, series 7 episode 134, 'The Two of Us' (2006)

Joplin's second run at neverending BBC daytime soap, Doctors. It was on youtube the whole time! So maybe if I try hard enough I can find his episode in season 4 too, wish me luck...

Gary! I didn't try hard enough to find you before evidently.

Ru ro, hiding wedding ring? Or just finally getting rid of it after splitting from the woman we see next talking about how excited she is to have the baby of the guy she just broke up with...?

Guys this episode is 1. v soapy and 2. v Joplin heavy! Enjoy!

Some flowers arrive for him, aww!

Double aww he's man enough to admit he was nervous about meeting up with his ex, and he's been ticking off the weeks since they split up :')

"So what are we here to discuss...on our wedding anniversary?"

"I'm sorry, it was just a coincidence."

Holy shit lady

"Look Gary, it's just another day!"

"It's gonna take me a while to see it like that."

But he's been seeing 'Pippa' for a month or so, which really flummoxes unnamed pregnant lady,* who spills sparkling water everywhere.

lololol "That's what we came here to discuss isn't it? A permanent separation?"

Gary, tormented by ~~memories~~ wishes to sell the old flast and get a divorce. Claire still hasn't broken the baby news to him.

"I've still got some of your CDs back at the flat."

"I'm not missing any."

"Not even your Spice Girls album?"

"I never owned a Spice Girls album."

"You don't remember dancing round the kitchen to Wannabe?"

Babe, are you sure it wasn't your Spice Girls album?

He DID buy it!

Oh no, Pippa found a note on the flowers he accepted delivery for earlier: 'Dear Claire, happy anniversary, love from Gary xx'

And now Gary and Claire turn up joking about CDs!

Claire has to take a work call and Pippa wants to know...

"Has she come for her flowers?"

"Oh."

Babe.

He is a useless wet rag of a man who had a standing order with the florist and forgot to cancel it. And forgot to tell Pippa he was having lunch with his ex. Oopsie oopsie.

Meanwhile, that stress might be getting to pregnant Claire....

Man Pippa is insecure about Gary having lunch with his ex.

But y'know. He's pathetic and gorgeous so she forgives him.

Off she goes, but Claire's called a nurse to their address and Gary notices something's not right.

"Pregnant? How?"

now, sweetheart, has no one explained...?

"No one said it was impossible Gary, just highly unlikely..." (Claire has fibroids)

Ohhhhhhhh she lied and said 12 weeks and not 20!! The look of relief on his face oh no lady this is gonna bite you in the ass we're only 13.55 minutes into a 28 minute episode!

"Talk about me rushing into things... whose is it then?"

Ajsjdjjdjfff watching Claire dig this hole in real time as Gary reminds her that for years she was the one who said she didn't want kids because of her business (standard career woman vs mum conflict 🙄)

But to be fair she's also like 'what was I meant to say to every nosey fucker who asked when we were starting a family?'

Whatever Pippa's work is it seems to involve bitching about Claire with her colleague non-stop. Meanwhile Claire is telling the nurse how Gary *clearly* doesn't want kids. While Gary's making actual heart eyes down the phone to Pippa. And...not helping matters by lying to Pippa about Claire having left 'soon after you'. Are all soap characters compulsive liars??

Naturally Pippa hears voices, he says something unconvincing about the TV and her friend is listening and is gonna feed that suspicion...not least as Claire left him not vice versa.

I feel like Claire is being a real nob about Gary, assuming things about him when she never tried to speak to him about them...

He keeps putting on funny voices though, which is adorable. "She was always career-minded. ~~not the '''m0thERing kINd'''~~" ok babe way to not actually disguise your true feelings. He does admit that they were shit at listening and talking to each other so. Idk. Growth through distance?

Oooh Claire's bleeding and Pippa's at the door coz she left her keys!

Pippa is straight up batshit. Confronts Gary about Claire still being there and when he says she's pregnant and ill Pippa doesn't seem to get why he can't just...throw her out on the streets.

When he goes back up, the nurse leaves them alone and Claire, who's already been opening up about her vulnerabilities, admits to Gary it's his.

Obviously it turns out they both wanted kids hurp durp

And natch Gary *doesn't* want a divorce

And of course Claire is freaked out at the idea of staying together just for the kid because that's what made her parents miserable

But look at the puppy dog eyes

He knows the problem was they stopped talking

Meanwhile Pippa just....hands the keys back and goes

Claire! How can you say no to a man with that many shirt buttons undone?? Professing his love for you??

And now he knows Pippa's left him so he's free to badger Claire into being allowed to come to the hospital.

"I'm coming as a friend."

...as the actress said to the bishop 😏

Omg the original airing was followed later that day by Julian Clary's Who Do You Think You Are? which I must have watched...

Dead? Nope!

Evil? No, not even a bad boyfriend!

Affects the plot? Now, I don't think Doctors operates on the basis of 'plot' so much as...placing one-off characters in situations. He's not the one with most control over the situation, but he does his best to assert himself bless.

Now, if you're into that kind of thing, I imagine he's very gorgeous. I am into the look, but the frank discussions of actually wanting a baby...not so much. Those undone buttons though! The side-lighting on his eyes! 3/5, it's good to be back in the game, Joplin fans <3

(a quick little WIP I worked up of her yesterday)

Hair: Black, long, just wavy enough to be unruly

Eyes: She has heterochromia. The left is pale green, the right pale blue

Familiar: Ember the black sable ferret

Personality: Quiet and more reserved with strangers, a big teasing goof with friends. Chaotic neutral.

Favorite Color: Blue

Favorite Food: Buttered noodles with grated cheese

Favorite Drink: Chai tea

Favorite Dessert: Coffee cake

Favorite Season: Autumn

Likes: Reading, painting, dancing, nature, collecting things (stones, shells, feathers), staying up late, stargazing

Dislikes: Hot weather, waking up early, cooking, pompous nobles, any insect with more than six legs

2. Who is their LI? What’s their relationship like?

Julian. She was doomed from the second she smashed that bottle on his head when he broke into the shop the first time (a story she loves retelling, mostly to embarrass him). His outlandish and outgoing nature helps bring out the fun, slightly more extroverted parts of her that she lost after she lost her memories. Going out drinking and dancing and being foolish feels natural with him, instead of daunting. In turn, she tries to keep him from doing things that are too exceptionally stupid, or, failing that, pull his ass out of the fire when he can't bullshit his own way out.

When they aren't out causing a ruckus (or in causing a ruckus), they do both enjoy just sitting quietly and reading together, usually in a tangled pile on the nearest soft surface. Julian also tends to drape himself over her like a giant, leggy blanket after a long day. He has occasionally fallen asleep while doing so.

Ximena has numerous sketches and paintings featuring her dorky doctor, and he gets very flustered every time he realizes she's made another one.

Julian was super unsure after he let her see his red eye the first time, "Are you sure this doesn't bother you? Really sure? It's not creepy or off-putting or disturbing?" Her answer was an eyeroll and, "You giant ninny, my eyes don't match either. Why would it bother me that yours don't?"

3. Give a short summary of their relationship to the other main characters!

Asra: Their relationship isn't what it used to be. They're still friends, but it's a little strained. Mostly because she can't believe he would put so much at risk to bring her back from the dead, what the hell dude? Not that she isn't enjoying being alive again, but that level of obsession seems unhealthy and makes her want to thwack him on the head.

Nadia: She likes her well enough, but the Countess is juuust slightly too posh for her. Once Nadia realizes that super expensive gifts make Ximena uncomfortable, they become pretty good friends and have tea together regularly.

Portia: They hit it off immediately. Portia is bubbly and fun but still down-to-earth and just absolutely adorable. She considers her a sister long before they become sister-in-laws. She's also really impressed with Portia's ability to turn on the waterworks to get her way, and will definitely pull the don't-make-me-call-your-sister card with Julian when necessary.

Muriel: They have a mutual understanding of 'nature is better when the humans are quiet'. He and Innana walk with Ximena and Ember through the woods, helping her gather herbs and other reagents for her shop. She brings him pumpkin bread from the market. It's peaceful and simple.

Lucio: He's a stupid goat and she's glad to be rid of him.

4. What about the courtiers? Have they met them? What do they think of them?

Volta is the only courtier she actually likes. She keeps snacks for her. She finds Vlastomil gross and creepy, Vulgora is exhausting, and she both despises and is terrified of Valdemar. Valerius earned himself a permanent spot on her shitlist by dumping wine on her when they met, and she's been a petty magician out for revenge ever since. 5. Do they have any other friends outside of canon? What about the minor characters?

Mazelinka wins her over that first night, and she quickly picks up the threaten-Julian-with-a-wooden-spoon thing from her. She's less effective with it than Mazelinka is, but it's the thought that counts. Ximena also becomes fast friends with Natiqa, who she bonds with over a love of harmless mischief and colorful clothes. Ironically, she also hit it off with Nazali about fashion as well, since she agrees with them that being comfortable and easy to work in matters way more than what clothes actually look like (she just happens to like things that are colorful as well as comfy). Ximena actually likes Nazali's 'hideous' orange waist-pouch, much to Nadia and Natiqa's chagrin. 6. Now, do they have any rivals? Maybe even a WORST ENEMY!? Spill the deets now!

Valerius. Not an enemy, but definitely a rival. Spilling that wine on her was a huge mistake, and now she spends every second that she's in the same room screwing with him. Lift the rug just enough to make him trip, a sudden breeze that slaps him in the face with his own braid, oops, his wine is suddenly just grape juice. Anything to embarrass him that can't actually be traced back to her. He knows she's doing it and is very greatly aggravated that he can't prove it. (Nadia and Natiqa are also aware that she's doing it, and fully support it. Natiqa even helps sometimes.)

I'm coming up with an idea and how to stop this idiot no we're using tons of systems

The sun is a good question we took a factory over let's try to sassy with his own stuff what's her reaction

The truth is we know what it is we've done it hundreds of times well a lot more they come running faster than you can blink they hate each other more than anyone I'm getting rid of tons of them. It actually works very very well and it's kind of one of the best operations I've ever seen so we're launching tons of where his factories are left in order to take the factories so many left you should have them on a few days putting in castles too nice big huge ones we have pretty much all the bases the time and the tunnel systems below we're taking all the ships out and feel them with our own fuel so nobody's going to ever know if it's ready or not wouldn't have that much competition in many areas it's going to pull it out to get power you really need to we already retrofitted as a requested earlier there's a number of things that we should mention our son has been staring down tons of people everyday it would make a lot of people sick he's enduring a lot of talk that makes even the most elder Mac nauseous and none of these trumpsters can take it they come in here they've had enough after a few minutes Trump himself sat there and he got so demented and he went around shooting people and they shot him dead I want to connect commend him for the job well done and he said Hera as well and that he's getting support but it accepts my gracious offer and appreciates the recognition and someday he'll try and harass me so I can say I did it too now it's just kidding and he says that I'm in here and I get the same treatment it's absolutely true it makes you want to vomit but we know what we do to them and he's sitting there not not really seeing it but he knows they're dying cuz an Epson flows then nothing and he says it doesn't really match up with what people would think it it does tons of them die and they become assholes for a while it's ridiculous it is backwards so I'm sending it in and we're going to take care of a lot of problems here right now is a ridiculous number of threats going out we're going to take care of all of them we also have areas where shutting everything down and we're shuttering I'm going to take care of them idiots does it keep going after businesses once you close them up they're going to go after him in a whole bunch of whole bunch of them so putting stars out and units that usually handle it the Stars will attract more and we want them all in all the crazies. You're a good deal of work my son has done a great job he's in kind of a fix because everyone's being a huge a****** we need to shut them down nobody deserves this kind of treatment especially someone has done this kind of work they're going to have to shut up they're going to have to stop with their ass faces too like this guy I'm dead permanently there's no right to do that and that a****** anybody else doing it I can't understand it we can you're suicidal will take care of business

Thor Freya we're working on this very diligently here it's a lot of stuff to do and a lot of things to get out of the way but we've moved mountains recently and we should be able to handle it

Most shattered over in we only have several outstanding Russia which is a problem but we're doing it on the inside and some on the outside so he says and we're working on a lot of things we could do also Georgia and Pennsylvania shattered on there are two 200s well and one 300 and George's is won $300 and those are killers and the one 400 and that one's in Malaysia and it still has iron in there are two more in Iceland two 200s and multiple 50s and we're working on all of this and he says to pick one there goes a team and we're going to clear it all up and we should go fix up the Malaysian winner we're invited because they helped a lot and he says yes and you'll see it's quite a war tons of trumps too for real well if they know where they're going to flow in not just a normal contingent level force of ours so we're preparing it and there are tons of them there already and we're moving in to China to the one in Malaysia actually not China and China is almost complete and we are going to coordinate off it's a huge Force that we're dropping there will increase it as necessary we're also going to focus on Russia because it's so big and that's due to security reasons and the Mediterranean because it's very large and the others are below 400 and that is unfortunately what we have to do is priority and we're going to do that now

Since I found funny how Pierce was close to Chloe and treated her like a human being for like 5 minutes instead of keeping her at a distance by being an unpleasant dick and probaby felt 1 positive emotion towards her because of this and immediately went "This... must be love. Must get married and die with her asap."

... Piercifer version were they have to be close and not be dicks to each other for whatever reason (pretend to be involved so Pierce can come back and forth from Lucifer's place more freely and they can discuss stuff in private without people asking questions, or everyone made assumptions and they didn't deny them and kept the ruse going, just spend a lot of time planning his demise and Lucifer gets more endearing the more someone stays around him, actually part of Lucifer's plan and Pierce goes along with it etc...) and Pierce goes through the same thing.

The emotionally stunted, human connection starved part of him goes "Wait. Spending time with him feels. Nice? I like this?? He's also immortal. Must be with him forever, problem solved". While the depressed, selfish and weary parts of his brain is like "Nope, be rude. Immortality is relative and we're tired. Just disappear. Be rude some more."

Lucifer in the meantime is going through his own emotional turmoil while on the other side Pierce acts so weird.

OH! OH, NOW THIS–THIS IS INTERESTING!

Okay so, let’s start with the obvious thing: Flowers doesn’t die. There is no need to send anyone in. There remains an eternal stalemate at Blood Gulch, the Alpha AI lives about his days very tired and angry, surrounded by assholes.

The Blood Gulch Crew never forms, it never has a need to form, because things remain calm and boring at Blood Gulch.

Now, let’s talk about the effects this could have on the rest of the universe.

Namely, let’s talk about Tex, York, South, North, and all their respective AIs. Because in a world without a group of idiots to clean up their messes long after they’ve been made, the Freelancers are going to have to start taking responsibility for their actions.

So, let’s say that Tex and York run into each other again, and come to an agreement: Tex gets their help in getting rid of Omega permanently, and York and Delta never have to hear from her again. This has some complications, namely: Omega can fucking hear everything Tex is thinking, because… sharing a mind. So they lose Omega.

It becomes a long streak of trying to track down Omega for a while, until they run into North, South, and Theta. They all almost kill each other, then another deal is struck: Help track down Omega, South gets to keep Omega if she really wants an AI that bad, and everyone goes their fucking separate ways. Yay.

So, while on the hunt for Omega, Theta and Delta get genuine bonding time while everyone else is fucking tense around each other 101% of the time. It’s amazingly awkward.

Things proceed like that for a while until Tex and North get captured and held prisoner by a group of mercenaries who had had Omega, and Tex had gotten so close to fucking getting that AI–but nope. Victory was pulled just out from under her like it was a rug, and now she and North were locked up.

So it forces York and Delta and South to work together and South ends up venting about everything to Delta around half-way through the rescue attempt and Delta just sighs and tells South that she’s really not bad at destroying things. She just needs to remember that life isn’t just a competition, and her brother, overprotective he may be, does care about her. York just tries to ignore all of that while he lockpicks.

And North and Theta and Tex have a long talk while in their jail cell, where Tex admits the full truth of what she learned from CT’s dog tags and North and Theta both learn just how truly fucked up Project Freelancer was–is. Theta also adopts Tex as his older sister.

So the parties meet back up, awkward discussions are had in-between kicking mercenary ass.

When the ordeal ends, North and South both admit they were never at their best during Project Freelancer, and both agree to try and talk to each other more.

Theta asks if he can have some time in South’s head. Since, you know, South’s his sister too.

South agrees.

Theta ends up hopping from Dakota to Dakota a lot. He likes them both.

South teaches him swear words, North disapproves.

They continue the hunt for Omega, kind of unsure where they all stand with each other now. Because, well, they’ve become something different from what they were in Project Freelancer.

They’d started becoming something like a family. An awkward, dysfunctional family, but living through a bunch of battles and saving each other from death helps with that a lot.

At some point, they run into Wyoming and Gamma, who were both working on trying to stop the war, as well as tracking down an old friend from their days in Freelancer.

The duo aren’t seen again, but years later, a letter comes to the newfound Freelancer household on Chorus from Butch and Reginald Flowers, showing a bunch of blue-armored people in an unknown room smiling and waving at a camera. (You can see some people in warmer color shades being grumpy in the background.)

So it continues on like that until one day, they get a surprise visit from a dying former freelancer (like, maybe Georgia) who manages to get out a few words before he dies:

“The Meta… fuck the Meta. Where the fuck did it even get that scary purple AI… ugh. Hurk-blegh…”

Indeed, while the Freelancer&AI family has been traveling around, the Meta has been alive and kicking. And it’s gotten a good deal of AI on its side. Including Omega.

So now the objectives shift into figuring out what the fuck the Meta is. Because they were all there, they all saw Maine–well, the Meta now, tear Carolina’s AIs out, saw it kill Carolina. What did the Meta want with AI anyways?

Delta figures out the answer: “The Meta wants to be a fully smart and metastable AI.”

But what goes into making an AI metastable? None of them have a good answer for that, because, well, do you see any metastable AI? No? Me neither.

They continue their hunt for info on the Meta until it brings them face to face with Recovery One–Agent Washington.

He’s his usual S6 crabby self.

None of the others are quite sure what to make of this new Wash, this hardened and changed Wash. They have to wonder just screwed up his mind has been since Epsilon was in his head.

They force themselves to work together to bring down the Meta. They also make a decision, one to get Epsilon and show his memories to the court so that the Director can be tried and held accountable for all the shit he has done to so many.

They go to the AI Storage Facility and save Epsilon, and realize just in time that the Meta has been following them. Following them for a while.

So they split up. South and Wash stay behind to distract the Meta and hopefully end the lives of the AI it’s taken, North, Theta, York, and Delta get away from this place with the Epsilon unit, and Tex follows behind to make sure no one tries to attack them.

By now, Tex has become very careful in what she lets herself do. If it’s something that doesn’t matter to her or she’s doing for fun, she’s learned that she can win, easily. If it’s something important, however, she’s figured out that she will always lose, just as she thinks she’s won. So, in plans like these, she stays behind and lets other people do the important stuff.

Wash sets off the EMP. The AIs the Meta was using to run its enhancements all die. Wash, South, and the Meta all get arrested with the rest of almost all the known Freelancer personnel.

York and Delta are quick to break South and Wash out of prison.

Everyone regroups at an abandoned post in a place called “Valhalla”, before quickly agreeing that they, as a group, need to keep moving around for their personal safeties.

The Meta breaks out of prison. They don’t learn about this until they nearly die by its hands on a cold mountain. They manage to defeat it, to everyone’s surprise.

They leave the area soon after, not intending to be found by anyone.

But found they are.

Carolina finds them.

And there’s a lot of yelling, a lot of arguing, and a lot of just… freaking out in general.

York and Carolina talk while Delta goes offline. York admits he’s had his bad moments and Carolina admits she’s had hers. They work things out.

Delta starts hopping into Carolina’s head after York’s prompting.

It goes horribly, and Tex sighs in the background, wondering why they can’t just get Delta a robot body because the space needed between them all is obvious.

Tex and Carolina talk while watching a sun rise over water. Carolina admits her perspective. Tex admits hers. They admit they don’t know each other. They decide they’d like to learn.

They track down the Director. Turns out he had gotten his hands on the Epsilon unit.

So, now they had to fight an army of Tex. That sucked.

They buy Carolina and Tex enough time to get to where the Director is.

The two chew him out. Tex almost– almost shoots him, but Carolina stops her.

Carolina’s pistol gets left behind in a quiet moment.

The odd family of 6 Freelancers and 2 AI leaves in a hurry while the facility shuts down.

The group watches the sun set as they hear from their comms the universe freak out over everything that Project Freelancer had done.

In time, they would crash-land on a planet, they would be its heroes who settled into a happy, stable civilian life.

But at that moment? They were fragments and pieces Project Freelancer had left behind. But they are more than that.

They are each others’ family.
