#Ooc: proud of the lore behind dynamax!

How dynamaxing works in Constellia
Tumblr media
It might be confusing how Pokémon can dynamax in Constellia without a dynamax band. That’s because of Eternal Star energy, the Star energy that allows Pokémon to Dynamax and Gigantamax here!
Allow me, Cosmo, to explain the process and mysteries behind this type of Star energy!
How it works:
When a Pokémon dynamaxes, first, it returns to its pokeball. From there the Pokémon draws in Eternal Star energy from the environment to charge up. If successful, the ball will become bigger and once thrown out, the Pokémon will have successfully dynamaxed.
Depending on the amount of Star Energy absorbed before dynamaxing, the Pokémon’s strength and HP will change. The more, the stronger
Because Pokémon absorb the eternal Star energy from the environment, which can vary, it’s possible for a Pokémon to start drawing in energy, not drawing in enough, and not be able to dynamax. If so the pokeball containing the Pokémon will flash red, and the Pokémon must be sent out again in their undynamaxed form.
Dynamax Band, Galar vs Constellia
Dynamax bands are available in Constellia, but they’re different than the ones in Galar. It isn’t required to Dynamax, but it more acts as a support than a requirement.
Constellian Dynamax bands contain artificial eternal Star energy that can also be drawn into the Pokémon. This essentially allows a 100% guaranteed dynamax.
