While I'm not the biggest Maiko shipper, I can def see there's a lot of heart and passion behind their relationship if it was given more chance to blossom outside of Zuko's emotional trials (no fault on him or her they were bundles of trauma and hormones tied up in warrior mindsets trying to please their parents)

I like to think Zuko made sure their next trip to Ember Island post-war was much more calm and relaxing, now that he's not a big ball of stress and self-loathing, and they can look to the future with hope now that they're on the same page.
