I finally finished watching Napoléon (1927)! Here are more shaky phone camera stills of the film

Oh yeah um apparently the ghosts of Robespierre, Saint-Just, Danton and Marat give Napoleon the approval to rule France and start an expansionist war.

And of course, the most famous triptych! It is honestly impressive how well most of the footage line up.

And f course in the end it tinted into the tricolor French flag.

Here is the ending sequence in triptych format (note: flashing imagery)

There is a single camera version of the ending, and contrary to just footage being pulled from the three cameras, it is actually shot almost entirely differently (I can't put another video so it will be in another post)

It is certainly not a film of historical accuracies, but it is quite an astonishing piece for cinematic history and the amount of symbolisms.
