Seon Adventures, episode 33: “Dog is God Spelled Backwards”
Following the level up and meeting with Arkniel, the party would go to Crystalgate. There, offscreen, they each would invest in the 5,000 gold that each of them had received and would buy certain items and provisions they’d see as worthwhile and important for the time to come.
Once they had completed what they wanted to do in town, they would reconvene at the Eastern exit of Crystalgate and make their way out and onto the dusty road... towards the border. And beyond.
On the way there, they would be shadowed by a mysterious redhaired woman, bedecked in worn out armor and weaponry, quite obvious in her approach towards the group.
After some discussion between the party, it would be Luck, who’d approach and ask her what was up and why she was following them. She was completely taken off guard by this and would introduce herself as Luandala Mistsplitter, a duelist for hire.
And she had been hired to challenge a certain tiefling ranger to a duel to the death, on someone’s behalf.
Much to Mournimar’s surprise and to the party’s, it was not his mother that was the client and, from what they figured, based on the gender being male, which Luandala accidentally spilled, even though it was a vow of secrecy... Mournimar would suggest it was his ex-boyfriend, Lazarus. Another Drow, who he had a tragic history with.
Tumblr media
The spunky, if wethered by age and battle, duelist would ask Mournimar if he was down to the duel to the death and Mournimar would decline. It seemed illogical to persue this quest. Furthemore, the rest of the party would chime in that it would be quite easy for them to just gang up on her and take her out. So why not just give up and move to Sa Doma, as per the suggestion of Jun. Start a new life there.
Before Luandalla could even express how much money she’d need to start over somewhere, Luck had already handed her 200 gold pieces (she would have said a second later that she’d need 50 and then Luck, in turn, say to use them for good).
With directions from the Disguise Duo, both in locations to visit and money to spend a plenty, Luandalla would end her quest, which she had previously said would mean her life, and carry on to Sa Doma...
With that problem solved, the party would carry on with their carriage and tense atmosphere, going past villages and nature, drawing closer and closer to the border, seperating Aetorumia and Gulorum.
And they would have completely missed a river, had it not been for noise of some sort of conflict.
The party would be drawn to a location, where a duo of armed men had netted a dog. Bandits, perhaps, or trappers, who were to catch and sell this pupper for a high price?
It made sense at the time, as the dog was quite rare in it’s appearance. A Corgi. Male, as the party would later learn as he called for help from Morgan, asking him to get his entorauge to rescue him.
And... A fight would break out, right as the Mournimar, Belli and Morgan charged in, the latter half of the party keeping a distance at first. A fight that would start the moment the net carrying men called for back up, shouting “INTRUDERS!”
As a number of armed men, from leathers to chain mail and ultimately plate, with a variety of weapons, ran out of their hide out, a cave, across the river, the fight would begin.
It was fast, brutal and with almost no room for the band to make headway in combatting The Cultbusters, who as a force of Level 9 were too strong for mere crossbows and swords.
Between Jun’s fast footwork and piercing attacks with the Gambler’s blade, invoking her Bloodhunter abilities as needed.
Between Belli’s animating objects capabilities, bardic insults and her new dabbling into Dominating the mind of the enemy.
The overconfident Luctan’s semi-ok skill with the crossbow and a Guiding Bolt that would explode a man to vapors, much to the tiefling’s own shock.
The ranger, Mournimar’s sniping skill with the bow, striking true where it counted.
And Malak’s regretful, but determined Bless and Blight...
All, but one of the men were slain.
The last remaining of them, Luctan had attempted to spare, for one reason or another, and had attempted to send on his way with a promise of changing his ways. The others, less in the mindset, would approach and Jun would tie the man down with her Tentacle ability.
Tumblr media
He would be questioned and it would come out that he as a soldier in the war, who never returned home. And, fro mthe way he spoke, it was assumed that he and his now-dead comrades had all deserted at some point?!
He had family in Crystalgate. Last having seen them, it was his wife, two children and a third one on the way. Something, which pissed Belli off, during the interrogation. To abandon your family was a sin worse than death, it seemed, for the lyrical Narah, who moments prior had enchanted this man to (unsuccessfully) deman one of his allies, much to the horror of the thought.
In between all this, the Corgi, who had shocked everyone by casting spells not but moments prior (A radiant Eldritch Blast here, a trippy Hypnotic Pattern there) would speak. And all that collectively would shock everyone still alive in the area, but the canine himself. It was insane to see for the group, but in the midst of battle, with the red mist over their minds, they hadn’t completely aknowledged things).
His explanation on what happened was, and thanks to Belli’s arcane knowledge she’d understand what happened, that he once looked through a book and suddenly he gained sentience. Quite possibly, he read the necessary lines for the Awakened spell.
Tumblr media
Regardless. As things were, the man was spared. And let go, with the demand by the party that he return home, to his family, in Crystalgate. With Belli ordering him to speak to her father and find work under him.
A burrial, for the fallen soldiers, followed, initiated by Malak, followed by Luctan and finished with the rest of the group, before a Prestidigitation cleaning process.
The talking dog, named Samson, would join the group, upon regaining his equipment. And together, they would carry on, wordlessly, until they reached the border. The only conversation happens between Samson and Orion, whom Samson immediatelly dislikes, upon learning how he is being misused as Familiar and how content he is with his role.
He’d make moves to correct the Fey creature’s behavior by tricking the party into believing that Orion wanted to join them in their combat activities. Be a useful lil’ man.
At the border, there is a rest station, a small town named Nisca, for provisions and necessary equipment, to help travelers one way or another in their treks.
Within the area, the general population is mid-life and beyond, worn down by time and life in general. What soldiers the party meets are in various states of health, going from healthy, to injured and recovering. The past war’s scars remain deep upon their frames, as the party notes, setting their carriage someplace proper, before taking to the local tavern.
Specifically, before that, though. Samson would approach a fountain, at the bottom of which he and the party could see coins. It would appear that this was a memorial countain of sorts.
Not that it bothered the pup to hop in the water. But before he could do anything naughty, Malak would pull him back out and carry him underarm to the tavern, “The Warrior’s Rest Inn” (Inn, in theory, anyways), where their 7 of them, Morgan included, would have their meal of meat and potato stew and drink of ales, wine and brandy.
They’d take to rooms, with Belli and Mournimar nabbing one, Samson occupying one of his own, for himself and Luctan, with Malak as his watch, the remaining one. Jun would opt to sleep in the carriage and ultimately having the best sleep of the group.
As the rooms’ beds were made for function, less for comfort.
In the middle of the night, two things happened.
First of all, a determined little Samson would trot his way out of the Inn and back to the fountain. Where he’d summon a mage hand and bring out a number of coins, for himself.
Which would trigger a reaction, before the pup could skitter his way back to bed.
In an instant, three ghostly figures would rise from the fountain and begin approaching the dog, who dared steal from this memorial for the fallen.
Tumblr media
With a well precisioned Deception, however, Samson would counter and make them believe that he was just a doggo, normal and natural, instead of a magical being. And instead, have them focus on the magehand, which carried the coins.
The ghosts, revenants, specters, what have you, would attack the hand and pop it like a balloon. And once the coins returned to the fountain with a light splash, the Celestial Warbork would dash his way back inside and hide in bed.
Second of all, Malak would approach Luck and wake him with a light kick to get his attention
The two would then have a conversation about the recent developement... The Chain Devil and his imps that came for Luctan, under his mother’s orders. The very fact that Luctan was the child of Potentia, Malak’s most hated enemy among the evil deities.
Malak would express to Luck, in a quiet, but determined, serious and calculated tone that the next time they come for him, and they would, surely attempt another abduction, he’d be putting the rest of the party in danger once more.
Luctan agreed, sadly, that this would be the case. He would try to keep his emotions in check in that moment and betray no sorrow in the truth of the matter, as he had practiced and trained to keep these things in the past. A politician’s skill, as Ficus would put it, had he been there.
Malak would make it clear to the tiefling that the next time it happened and he’d have to choose between Luck and the rest of the party, he’d send him to Hell himself, if it meant ending this hounding.
Luctan would nod and acknowledge and understand and accept his actions, remorse slipping by the calm mask he’d try to keep during the conversation.
Malak would take something from his pocket and reach it over to Luctan, telling him: “You’re not the only one with problems.” And Luck, before noticing the item being passed over, would agree. “I know.”
“Good.” Malak would answer and hand him an oval shape. A ball. An orb. Magical in some way.
“Something to help you in your travels, as you are new to these lands.” he’d state, before the two seperated and returned to bed.
Tumblr media
Luctan, looking between the magical orb and the gifter of said orb for quite a while, would soon find himself asleep. Mercifully, with no attacks this night, from his mother’s servants.
In the morning, during breakfast, Malak would catch everyone’s attention and speak up, making an announcement.
He would speak from the heart with few words, but each of them held power, conviction and... frankly, disappointment. With the party and how they handled themselves in that recent fight.
“I feel it was beneath you and beneath me.” he’d say.
He’d particularly express his distaste with Belli’s choice of casting Dominate Person. While the spell can be useful in many ways, the way she had used it was horrible. “How would you feel if someone dominated you and made you attack your friend? Castrate them?” he’d ask her in his own words and Belli would admit her regret, once it was pointed out to her.
No amount of verbal acrobatics and athletics would change the fact that the party had brutalized those men, over the perceived “crime” of netting a dog, to sell. Which is a thing that people have done in the past, without any high horse death sentences thrown upon them.
In hindsight, they should have shown more mercy than they did. And also in hindsight, regardless of the status of Samson, who, along with Morgan, had been eating near the table, during this discussion.
This had given them pause. Malak’s logic was infallable in that moment.
The group had been cocky and seemingly uncaring of the lives they had cut short. And they had been uncaring. Be it because of past experiences or their own personalities getting the better of them.
Luctan specifically would look to his hands at that moment. The hands that held the orb that now occupied his journal case had so callously casted a Twin Guiding Bolt at two of the deserting soldiers. Missing one, obliterating another. And he’d think of what he had said at the time, to Malak. “Don’t worry, I’ll hit the other one next time.” Completely tone death of the situatio nthat had transpired.
While most of the party express their regret of their decisions that day, the damage had already been done and the men were irreversably dead.
Tumblr media
The right thing to do onward would be to do better and that may just happen. But that is for another experience, for the party to see.
With Malak finishing his piece on this subject, he would then proceed to hand out gifts for the rest of the group, as he had for Luctan the night previously.  Jun gets a smooth pipe of river stone. Belli receives a pouch, bright and in vibrant colors. And  Mournimar - a flower pot, filled with Soil. Currently Empty.
Each item has a function to them, revealed in the order of:
Jun's gift, Pipe of Remembrance: This long, delicate wooden pipe features a bowl made from smooth river stone. When the pipe is lit, smoke exhaled from it does not dissipate, instead lingering around the bearer. After 10 minutes, the smoke forms moving shapes that reenact the bearer’s most impressive and heroic achievements for 5 minutes. When this realistic performance is complete, the smoke dissipates. The pipe can’t be used this way again until the next dawn.
Belli's, Handy Spice Pouch: This belt pouch appears empty and has 10 charges. While holding the pouch, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges, speak the name of any nonmagical food seasoning (such as salt, pepper, saffron, or cilantro), and remove a pinch of the desired seasoning from the pouch. A pinch is enough to season a single meal. The pouch regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn.
Mourni's Pot of Awakening: If you plant an ordinary shrub in this 10-pound clay pot and let it grow for 30 days, the shrub magically transforms into an awakened shrub at the end of that time. When the shrub awakens, its roots break the pot, destroying it. The awakened shrub is friendly toward you. Absent commands from you, it does nothing
And  Luck got an Orb of Direction: While holding this orb, you can use an action to determine which way is north. This property functions only on the Material Plane.
With the gifts handed out and Malak laying out the moral failing of what had transpired, the cleric would go, finish his meal outside.
While doing so, Samson would go with Jun to the fountain, where he’d ask her about the party and whether this was a common occurance. She’d explain to him that she only knew the party for a week, two almost. And generally, the atmosphere was, yes, very tense with this group.
Always something that’d happen.
Samson, who had previously sassed the Changeling woman, would then find her a kindered spirit. The new person to the group and he’d swear to her that, should rocks fall on the party or something, Jun would be the person he’d jump to shove out of the way.
Tumblr media
Which is. Very sweet from the sentient pupper. And Jun would appreciate him for that.
Once mealtime was done, the party would gather in their carriage and, after Luck left seven gold coins in the fountain and Malak collected a map for their travels, to aid them further, along with Jun’s knowledge of directions towards Tatum, they’d set off on the next part of their journey. Out of Aeterumia and off to the third country on the continent of Seon: Galorum.
To Galorum, to Tutum. And to The Temple Of the Slayed Prince.

Seon Adventures, Episode 37: The Client
When last we left off, Akar’Niel showed himself before the adventuring party, the Cultbusters for the 2nd time in two weeks time, after their group finished the most important part of their dungeon delving quest within the Tomb of the Fallen King.
With his re-introducing words of “Did you miss me?”, Akar’Niel takes the stage.
And there he was, leaning on a pillar.
Face to face again, this time before rest would overtake them, Akar’Niel makes himself known to the party. The Half-Elven man is met with a mix of intrigue from Jun and Luck, distaste from Mournimar and Belli and a careful study by Malak.
Morgan surely would be by his partner’s side due to the surprise appearance, while Arryn? Arryn was taking a well needed rest, oblivious to the conversation that was transpiring.
With the semi-hostile atmosphere coming from the party, Akar’Niel reveals to the lot of them that he is the client, who requested the fetching of Ena, currently in Luck’s possession.
From the initial interrogation, it’s hard to tell much about his intentions with the blade, aside from keeping it gathering dust in the tomb, or a museum to just be gawked at. However - Belli and Mournimar gather that he’s asking intently about the sword, but based on his physique, there’s a reason he’s not trying to wrestle it off. And Jun?
Jun knows he lied and knows who River is. There’s an eyebrow twitch, when Luck asked why it mattered to him. He’s very emotionally invested in this artifact.
Furthemore, he tells the party he is of the Circle of Shaksban, the exclusionary spellcaster guild in Crystalgate. To try and gain the party’s trust, Akar’Niel offers himself to be placed under a Zone of Truth spell and willfully fail his save.
Belli casts said spell and a question and answer series begins, wherein he re-affirms he is who he is and what his intentions for the sword are. To hand it to the Darksbane Army for use, specifically, as they are considered by many, in different tones, as “the noble sort”.
During the talk, while Belli slips up and mentions that there’s only one human in their party, despite Luck wearing his disguise, Jun takes note of something about Akar’Niel.  She can see his eyes have a bit of a yellow flicker that moves like a vine in the wind. Furthemore, There’s almost like a faint breeze going through his hair, despite there being no wind?
The conversation carries on for about as long as the Zone of Truth permits, with an air of tension being raised from a half-suspicious and half-amicable side of the party. And Ena herself speaks to Luck, when he asks her what her take is on this arrangement.
Ena finds the party’s client a smug man, but is indifferent in who wields her, as long as blood can be shed. A bit unnerving, if honest answer from the weapon of a late king.
A deal ends up being struck, where the party agree to return Ena themselves, rather than hand it over at this moment to Akar’Niel. And that whenst he checks on the group the sound of wind chimes will follow.
With his departure, the six go to sleep, taking a long rest.
And in the morning? Luctan brings out the Dragon Skull for Malak to question. After debating what the questions should be...
Tumblr media
Malak casts Speak With Dead. And for flavor and more amicable conversing, he asks in Draconic:
- 1. ”What were the names of you and the other dragon that attacked?”- “I’m Izyr. Lord of the Sands. My companion is Zamberrut , the Barbarian.”
- 2.“What destroyed the dwarves and dragonborn?” – “A magic not even I know.”
- 3. “Do you know who cast it?” – “The wizards. The magic users, who enforced my brother and I.”
- 4. “Do you know any of their names or locations?””I don’t know their names. They gave us fake ones.”
- 5. “What were the names they gave you?” – “We met with a man, who called himself Nehren and a woman, who called herself Seriza.”
Curious.
Very curious. And requiring further questioning.
Malak would ask again, after sharing his findings with the party.
- 1. “What did they use to compel you and the other dragon?” – “The same thing it always is. A fuck ton of cash.” They were bribed!
- 2. “What did the people that compelled you look like?” – “Well, the tiny one had a weird face, gray hair. Very old. And the woman, a heavier set woman. Human?!”
- 3. “Where did you first meet them? At the mountains, a little bit north of here. Right near the border.”
- 4. “Were they wearing any identifying marks? Jewelry, anything. Special cloaks.”- “No? I don’t think they did. This was like five years ago, man. One of them had this three headed dragon guy, which I found weird.”
- 5. “Did he have 3 heads or a symbol with 3 heads?”- “A symbol.”
Interesting info. They were hired. But it wasn’t clear if it was the work of the council. But one of them was a Fornas worshippers, the little graying man. A 3 headed Dragon symbol meant just that.
Why though? Why would a Fornas worshiper do this sort of cruelty?!
The party once again agree to proceed to Guan.
And so begin the days of travel once again.
On the first day, they go north and come across what one can tell are the remains of a town, just based on the slight shapes. There are visible peaks of what was once the town of Hertis. The travelers could hear faint whistling as they’d pass through. A jaunty little tune.
How jaunty? Jaunty enough that it slaps!
Following around a corner of the remains of a building, the group finds themselves in front of a lone tent. A campsite. This here seems to be a homemade farm with tomato plants in buckets. And the whistling is coming from inside the tent.
As though we are heard, the tune carries on with it’s performer stepping out to see their guests. And it is a female Kenku, 3ft tall and carrying firewood in her arms.
Most of them hadn’t seen one since the tournament, from the team of rogues, but as she speaks in a variety of intriguing voices, Luck and Belli remember hearing of this particularity of the Kenku before. They were cursed to not speak in their own voices, so they learned to mimic others’.
“Well hi!” Zooter would say in one voice. (which we later learned OOC was of the gril from session 3 or 4, who flirted with Belli).
From what the group can gather, Zooter, as she introduces herself, is a lil’ survivor, making a life out here for themselves.
The Cultbusters and the lone citizen, Zooter exchange pleasantries and foods. With the party giving her dried meats for a potato, much to her delight. To a point where she even states that if they ever need a safe spot to rest the night, she will offer them one.
(Seriously, Zooter has such a cool mix of voices. Scorpion among them.)
Surprisingly, from the corner of their eyes, Luck, Belli and Mournimar can see the inside of the tent. What the surprising thing is the small shrine to Ebriosus, which eventually also comes to Jun’s knowledge.
And she reaches into her wares, pulling out tens of platinum coins, which she hands Zooter and the two bond over their connection through Her.
Tumblr media
Excited, Mournimar buys of the plant that would grow into the intoxicant “Steam Root” and through some big brain thinking, decides to plant it in the pot Malak bought for him.
(And many weed jokes were had.)
“You know? I loved you from the moment I saw you.” Zooter would say to Jun in another familiar voice, which she herself would specifically and only her recognize.
Later down the line, the group would carry on with their journey, parting ways with Zooter, the friendship made that day cherished forever.
And some good progress is made in travel.
On day 2, nothing really happens. If there’s any nasty shit in the desert, they see and avoid it. But that night, as they settle down, take their usual watches and the like, Jun has a dream to herself.
Day 3. That evening comes to a close and on the next day it’s very open dunes. They travel on more rocky/mountainous terrain. Very hilly. (And they are alive with the sound of music). Their awareness of our surroundings is good enough to where we’re safe. They sleep and nothing happens.
Day 4, the sand is less and the rock is more. Still wasteland, still no water They come across small streams at least once a day.
On the evening of the 5th day, Malak has a specific dream as well.
On day 6... They climb to the top of a little canyon that’s going on. Because they’re higher up, there’s no risk of danger. They get a feeling that for the next few days they’ll be pretty safe.
The 7th day comes and goes and on the 8th, Luctan has a dream. A promissing dream.
Then comes  Day 8.  Smooth as fuck.
Day 9.  They march and march on through and Arryn informs his travelmates that at this point today? They’ve been in Guan for a few days. He didn’t want to mention anything, ‘cause he didn’t want to jynx the group when they passed the border on day 6.
On day 9  the travelers come across to a barely a settlement. A few tents. Some lizard folk, the occasional kobold too. No farms, but there are caravans. We can tell they’ve been there for a while. On the outside, there is one Lizardfolk, more beefy than the rest.  And he is digging a hole. Diggy-diggy-hole.
He welcomes the party and proclaims that they are coming through in a good weather season. “Isn’t it lovely?“ Sand storms and humidity. Yep.  It’s been wild.
He introduces himself as  Eknam, the town burrier. So essentially, he is the undertaker of this settlement. Low on town people, but he’s optimistic that things are turning around. One of their ladies is swollen. So, it might be a big clutch!
They lost their town location, but what’s left of them, they’re called the Gromlets.  Eknam’s idea was Bog Creatures, but they have no bog.
They’re trying to find a place that’ll support them and the water supply isn’t tainted?! Aside from the side effects, there’s the whole limbs dropping off if you drink water 2 years in a row?!  Due to their resistances, it takes longer for the Lizardfolk to be affected, but for others? Much-much quicker.
Malak offers help and eventually clears the water for several days with Purify Food and Drink, while speaking to the settlers in draconic: “Hello, I’m the water technician. I’m here to clean your pipes.”
Greatful, Eknam welcomes the lot of them to Guan.
Eknam notes, upon us mentioning where they’re headed, that they’re going in the right direction of the capitol. Only have to go east and if they don’t get to it, they’d go north.
After some more directions, regarding going through the canyons, Eknam mentions that if the party bring them anything interesting they’d enjoy, they’d welcome the Cultbusters into the family.
While the directions are given,  Jun shifts into a lizard folk and searches for the pregnant lady, whom she finds in an open tent, resting comfortably, big and next to an egg that had recently been laid by her.  Bless her.
Jun congratulates her, before going off to search for the strongest camp person. Who would be Eknam in this case. The expecting mom’s a bit confused about the congratulations, but is grateful.
It is then that Jun talks with Eknam.
Tumblr media
She asks him to keep her safe and sound from any harm. Eknam would ease her concern for what could be by stating how she is their highest priority. Always watched. Noting how every settler in the area kept a close eye on her tent.
“She is always our priority.”
Before the party leave, they give them some stuff to help them along with the developement of their settlement. Clothes and the like.
With goodbyes being made, the party would carry on to the next leg of the journey.

Seon Adventures, Episode 35:  The Tomb Of The Fallen King
We carry on from whenst we left, the entrance of the tomb, where our heroes would, hopefully only temporarily part ways with Aryn, the Half-Dwarf. With the promise of and gifting of coin and that they wouldn’t abscond with too much of the contents of the resting place of the king, the party would head inside, with Luctan at the front, followed by Mournimar, Belli, Jun and Malak. Morgan stepping along beside them in his Dire Wolfy way.
Tumblr media
All around the wall, these blue lights come on.Blue, like on the base of a really hot fire. There’s a sign on the front, saying “Those who continue risk disturbing those who sacrificed themselves to grant “us” our lives.”
The words themselves immediatelly give off a bad vibe, given the multiple meanings they could hold...
The party would take their path to the northern door. Through it, they can see that the walls are lined with depictions of battles and clashes and the walls west and east, each has a dragon. The right one is shaded a darker color than the opposite. They bring down destruction. Another door ahead, a horned man with a dark blade. The walls have dates on them. Around 5-6 years ago.
The dates show things like, a year before the war ended on one. No one knows why the creatures were sent.  The other is a couple of weeks after the war ended. Didn’t happen long after.
This... is a fairly young tomb. Even if no one really comes here.
Stepping further upward, there appear to be three pathways, in an open hallway.
Tumblr media
In blank sandstone, the doors don’t seem to have locks on them. Followed closely by Belli,  Mournimar diverts and checks what’s on the right.
To the right, there’s a room with a fountain. Long dried out and kind of, gold lining the circles around the fountain. The majority of the place is painted purple and they stare at the backwall. Another artwork, more of a mural than a carving. To the left of it there’s a dragonborn outlined in golden paint. Beneath the art is the description. And in the back, to the center of the wall is a coffin.
Tumblr media
With a call, Mournimar brings the rest of the group inside. Much to the party’s surprise, the door closes behind them, but with a quick checo if it’s locked or not, it opens easily...
With a sigh of relief, the writing can be read now.  “Here rests Toxal the Never-Conquered. Even in death she never showed fear.” Notably, on the right side  of the coffin there’s a mural of her leading an army of kobolds.
At the bottom, a similar layout. But in this room, again a coffin in the middle. It appears to be of a lizardfolk warrior, dual wielding a pair of weapons. Engraven below, in Draconic are the words “Here rests Zaidi the Unending. She rests here to protect her King.”
Making a split decision,  Luctan and the duo go to check the lizardfolk’s room, while Jun and Malak go to check the other room. But the moment they enter, stepping on a particular plate on the ground causes iron bars to drop on the entrance behind them.
Much to their shock, a type of green, ill smelling gas emits from the coffin and slowly begins to fill the room they are now trapped in. And it is then that they notice a skeleton in a corner of the room, drooped and unliving.
Tumblr media
Malak would step back quickly from the room ahead of them and join the group at the bars, from where he’d check for a possible way to get them out. With an observant eye, the cleric would discern that there is a handhold at the bottom. With a combined physical effort, the party manage to lift up their would be death prison’s entrance and escape to the other side.
And interestingly, this is when the poisonous fumes would stop.
With that concern out of the way and a determination to be more perceptive on the path ahead, the team watches as Malak approaches the skeleton, after Mournimar performs a careful check on the room so they could avoid the pressure plates. Standing and then crouching before the boney body of the skeleton, Malak casts Animate Dead and raises it upwards with necromantic powers.

With the body animated, Malak now has a test subject with which the party can more easily traverse through the rooms and corridors of the tomb. And he is put to work immediatelly in the room north of the fountain and statue, stepping on plate after plate.
Tumblr media
And the Skelli-roomba’s prognosis is: the room’s clear.
As a reward he is armed with an axe, by Malak. And he orders his servant to unlock the door ahead. Which doesn’t work well, as Skelli’s finger breaks off. Luckily for them, Mournimar steps in, frees and re-attaches the finger for the skeleton, before unlocking the door with his thieves’ tools.
The door opens with a light skree. And the room in front of him is fucking huge. The size of at least two rooms stacked next to each other. With 12 coffins on the east and west parts of the room, about kobold size. And a huge sarcofagus in the middle. A very concerning threat, one might say.
In a group effort, helping one another, the party sneak with the help of Mournimar’s Pass Without A Trace, from the east part of the tomb’s 1st floor to the west part, with no trouble. The skeleton being of the stealthiest nature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this room, in the back, the gravings show 3 sets of weapons. A Longsword, Two shortswords overlapping each other and an elegant dagger. Fancy engravings, where the artist gave up partway through. And the backroom is a case with a glass top.
Belli follows Malak as they check the room to the south. Similar situation. There is a depiction of a dwarf with a very long beard and no hair at all. “Here rests Navaren the Fearless. Even in death, their protection lives on in us.”
On the other end of the room... A similar kind of pattern. Again an empty room, in the corner, a skeleton with very long arms and a battle axe on top of it. The skeleton is very long dead.
Tumblr media
Malak checks the skeleton... With a medicine check, we can tell it was a hobgoblin. The skull is caved in and the ribs are cracked. Leg bones fractured. This was a very rough night that they had. By the looks of the daggers by the waist, the battle axe is less of what the Hobgoblin had brought and more what was brought onto their skull.
Concerned about magical demise, Malak casts  Detect Magic... And nothing in particular catches his eye  here. But it sure does look pretty. That done, he casts Speak With Dead and proceeds to converse with the body.
Tumblr media
1. “What killed you?” he asks. – “The fuckin’- dead bitch in the sarcophagus.” the answer comes.
2. “Why did you come here?” he questions. “Money.” is said in turn.
3. “Did you steal anything?” he wonders. “I tried, but I didn’t get a chance!” the skeleton admits.
4. “Did you see any other creatures in here?” the queary is almost done.. “Only the dead ones.” ...
5. “Were there any in the large atrium in the room next door?” “The dead bitch in the sarcophagus was and her 12 friends.”
And the conversation ends there. Malak steps away and updates the party on what he had learned. Through a quick discussion, the decision is made to walk forward and quietly, unless the corpses themselves come back up.
At one point, as they threat carefully, the team can hear a loud clunk from Malak’s armor, but Luck instinctively grabs said armor piece and holds it in place, knowing how Plate Armo can be in such situations and thus, they make it through to the 2nd floor.
Tumblr media
In a surprisingly empty room.
The murals on these walls depict empty sets of armor and kobolds standing among the rubble of what used to be the army. In the south corner of the room, there are several kobolds holding helmets and staring off into the sunset.
A quick sweepthrough of the room establishes that there are no loose plates or the like. And with some relief, Mournimar now leads the group forward, through a hallway, keeping his eyes peeled on possible dangers ahead...
It’s very clean, as though someone recently swept it and Mournimar notes this. Being the quietest,  Mournimar stealths a bit forward for the group. Scouting work to be done! There is a door to his right… And ahead in the hallway, there’s an open entrance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thick, wide room. It’s seemingly empty. The door to the south looks very heavy. There’s a very strong, probably steel looking lock that looks more intricate than anything. There’s a rug in the room, large and square
He checks the weird rug.
It’s just a rug.
Resigning to this revelation, he moves back and up north, to the room he’d see ahead, once he made the first turn... And stepping through...
Tumblr media
It seems completely empty and he can’t see anything...
He stealths inside. Turns his head to the right as there is a mirror.
At a closer look, the mirror is a bit off. The reflection is more hunched over, longer claws and Mournimar backs away instantly. He can tell it’s magical as fuck.
Mournimar talks to his reflection. “What do you want? What are you doing?”
Aren’t you just going insane?!”Considering talking to the mirror, yeah. The feral reflection claims that i t’s having a great time, on the other hand.
The reflection condescends on Mournimar. Mournimar goes back to the group and calls for the others.
As they enter the room, the door slams behind them, naturally. And this time with a click to it. As opposed to a simple shutting. Morgan on the other side of the door.
Now trapped inside, they look at their reflections.
Skelli appears to be a dwarven man with blueish skin, however his proportions are off, a bit stretched. He wears red wizardly robes and has a bushy beard and hair.
Belli waves at her own duplicate, who is in mostly pink clothing. Much to her chagrin. And the two have an all out sass off about their personality.
Jun has a side shave going on. And a lump on her abdomen.
Luctan is full mountianman and there’s a constant twitch in his eye. Paranoid to the max.
Malak is the scariest of all. Because instead of his usual self, he just has the moustache. Like, pencil line moustache (EVEN THOUGH I MADE IT THICKER!).
Tumblr media
They put it to us planely. They are trapped in this room, until we answer 3 riddles in order and to the satisfaction of their duplicates. Seeing as they can’t find another way out, the party accept. And the first question gets pitched by Nega-Malak.
“There was a green house. Inside the green house there was a white house. Inside the white house there was a red house. Inside the red house there were little black babies.”
The debate rages o nbetween the five, with Skelli blankly standing at the side, as they try to figure out what the answer could be. The specific words, in that order... What could they- And then Luctan comes to a realization. A memory of his past hits him of his days, when he was still being pampered, back in Hell.
Confidently, the red tiefling steps up and proclaims “Watermelon”. At first it seems like he failed, but the Nega-Malak admits defeat, frustrated that this one got answered so well.
The Evil Jun steps up next and gives her riddle: “When I live, I cry. If you don't kill me, I'll die.”
Again, debateing the answer for a bit, with the creatures in the mirror taunting them, asking them if their suggestions to each other are their final answer. Until Belli answers with trust in Luctan’s suggestion on what it could be: “A Candle!”
And again, correct answer! The doubles were now getting a bit tense, because the party wasn’t being “any fun” with their correct answers. But there was still at least one more chance to fuck up and restart this whole thing.
“Well, isn’t this a surprise.” The paranoid Luck double steps up and rasps his own riddle, sounding like he had smoked for 15 years.:  Never was, and yet will always be. I am never seen, and yet always come. I carry nothing, yet hold much for some. Tell me, what am I?"
This one appears tricky for them to answer. Even confiding in each other about the answer appears to be unhelpful, as many options could apply. That and Jun was still a bit freaked out about the suggestion from the chaos siblings that the answer to the previosu question was “a baby”.
Malak decides to cut the bullshit and answer as best as he can figure. “The Future”. And that was the wrong answer. Close, but it was really, just “Tomorrow”.
And so, the game would restart. There is banter between the two sides. With Malak suggesting that he ask them a riddle, in turn for the door. But they refuse, as they are the ones in control here. Them’s the rules. But for Malak, this isn’t about rules or control.  He just wants to prove these assholes wrong.
The next question to be asked is spoken: “Many have heard me, but no one has seen me, and I will not speak back until spoken to.”
And Mournimar steps up to give his answer: “Echo”. The correct answer. 1/3
“I'm light as a feather, yet the strongest man can't hold me for more than 5 minutes. What am I?“ comes the next riddle. And the answer is uttered among the party: “Breath.” 2/3
The doubles then bring up another riddle. Confident in the puzzle of it:  How far can you walk into a forest?” They almost finish their question, before Belli raises her voice in determination, confidence and knowledge:
“Halfway and then we’re walking out.” The doubles are annoyed that they were bested by the people they were copying in such a distorted mannor and the door opens for the heroes with a light screech, a tail wagging dire wolf on the other end.
Malak proceeds to ask them a riddle of his own: If they fail, they must provide them with information on what’s in the tomb. Everything. “What has wings like a dragon, it will never fly. It can swim in the ocean, but will always stay dry." And they fail to provide the suitable answer.
The tomb is 5 years old-ish?! They started building it 7 years ago. There’s a secret entrance to the private restroom. We need to go to the northwest to the king’s floor.
They ask Malak for the answer to that riddle. And he provides them with the words “Dragon’s Shadow”. The answer evoking a response from Mournimar’s double, who screeches “ I’ll fuckin’ kill ‘em!” but leaves, anyways.
As the sibs go through the door, Luctan observes Malak as he pulls out the Fated Potential Great Axe, with Jun watching inside the room. He ponders on the nature of those beings, following Jun’s suggestion they rid the place of the mirror, so as not to risk others befalling to this riddle game as well.
He recalls some knowledge. Those things? They’re not devils, but sometimes, and it’s usually one of Jorzoth’s perverted methods of torture, Devils trap spirits, who hated each other in life and leave them with a minor glimpse of the outside world. This mirror is one of those glimpses.
Tumblr media
Malak shatters the mirror and swears he hears a deep breath from the mirror. And then nothing.
Jun makes a Wisdom Save. 7. Hm. Malak would then walk out of the room, with Luctan making way for Jun to pass before him. And they’d leave this part of the tomb.
Returning to the carpet room.
Tumblr media
Mournimar shows Belli the big metal door. It’s Big. Made of metal and a door. A big metal door! And the underside of the carpet is clear.
The party head Northwest.
Tumblr media
There’s a sign, saying the same old same old. That no one should enter, etc. Skelli is sent to inspect the room on the left. And once he enters, the door closes behind the skeleton. From there, 8 seconds pass. And Malak feels his spell on the boney half-dwarf drop. (RIP Skelli).
Planning occurs. And Belli summons Orion, much to his protest, to use him for the task she has in mind. She brings out a gunpowder bomb. And has Orion take the form of a seagull. She ties the bomb to his ankle and the poor familiar “bravely” enters the scene, wherein Belli can see two metalic figures, in rusted armor, swing for the birb.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Needless to say, Orion has no enjoyment in this. Also needless to say, he gets smacked. And the bom goes off in a loud explosion, which shakes the room itself.
With Belli’s update on what happened, the party get the time to prep. Thanks to Belli’s gift, Luctan throws in a smoke bomb. And using The Pass Without A Trace, by Mournimar, the six slink through the smoke, avoiding direct contact with the rusted guardians.
Tumblr media
They then get to the 3rd floor.
Passing by a deadend, they go downward, to the west.
Tumblr media
Scouting ahead, followed by his partner in crime, Mournimar enters a room with five pillars. Four ahead and one to the left. On P4, there’s a wire leading to the ceiling and a slight panel that would shift if the wiere was moved.  Mournimar cuts the wire and it snaps up into the ceiling. Half a second later, the panel opens and Mournimar and Belli need to make Dex Saves.
1 and 18 respectively.
The two get sprayed with glass from above and mournimar gets the worst of it, as it embeds into his face, arms, legs, tail... It’s not a pretty sight. But through a combination of Cure wounds from himself and Malak, they recuperate as good as they can, given the circumstances.
Tumblr media
“Please be careful!” Luctan says late in the situation. From around the corner. Covered in safety-wafety armor.
“I’ll try!” says Mournimar. In his leather armor. Offering barely enough protection. And inspects the remaining four pillars. 1, 2, 3, 5. With 1 being beside him, closest to the door to his left. Each, compared to the one he had just yoinked, were smooth.
Mournimar elects to use the one next to him and opens up a tunnel. A secret tunnel, which Mournimar leads the group through to a library.
Tumblr media
The lights on this floor are a golden white color. An entrance ahead and a door to the side. He tries to open the door to the side and it opens. Empty as fuck!
Tumblr media
While Mournimar and Belli explore ahead, Jun, Malak and Luck take a gander through the many tomes inside this place. Each finding a particular book that catches their fancy:
Luck finds a book called “To cheat a devil”. It’s a typography of a man, who cheated minor devils. It feels like this man should be much more well known.
Jun’s eyes go to one, named “Short and Stout”, a dwarven cookbook.
Belli, who had nabbed a book, before following Mournimar, had found " Personal Hygine” for Belli, about hygine on the road.
While Malak had gotten his hands on a heartwarming book about a baby dragon burning down a village. Fuck them peasants.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Up north, the walls are lined up with kegs. It looks like a drinking room.
Tumblr media
And the other way is a corridor, through which Mournimar and Belli stealth. Down to the bottom, where they look through an opening and see...
Tumblr media
A weird, huge monstrocity with rocks and metallic shields on each arm. And it doesn’t see them, because the orange light is turned to the library, where the rest of the party peruse. Sneaking back around, Mournimar warns the three, all hush-hush and they head upward.
The door ahead is locked, but Mournimar tries his luck at it, still. And he picks through the lock.
With a 19, the door swings open and on the back wall, it’s a portrait, in detail, of the king’s final battle. It seems older than any other piece. Original style on the edges. It’s like the original artist didn’t have the time to finish it, or something.
There are doors on the northeast and south-west.  In the south-west, a corridor. And seeing as they are meant to head south-west, they head there, anyways.
Tumblr media
Ahead, there’s a red rug and expensive looking furniture.
Tumblr media
The walls in this room are covered in the famed mantra, all over in a lot of languages. All over. It’s just “His duty is done, may he rest proud and eternal.” All orderly and stuff.
Above the door is the word “King” in Infernal.
Walking ahead, there’s a small corridor. And a door, which, the stone work is smooth, completely. It would have taken a while to carve this. It’s quite probably the throne room.
Tumblr media
A red carpet with golden silk detail leads ahead. The stone work is beyond intricate. Runes and patterns that would have taken years to make this room. In the back is a throne, and a coffin behind it. Gems litter it to the side as it’d littered the well. The lights turn red.
As they step in, one after the other, a ghostly image comes forth.
A pale purple spirit stands before them. Mournimar and Belli kneel. A tiefling man in much more humble clothing greets the lot of them, with his arms up.
Tumblr media
And asks of our presense here.
Mournimar truthfully explains why they’re here and what our new intentions are.
They have questions, he has answers.

Seon Adventures, Episode 34: The Journey to Tutum
When last we left off our adventurers, the party had prevented a duel to the death between Mournimar and a duelist, hired by his ex-boyfriend, follower of Potencia Lazarus, rescued a talking Celestial Warlock Dog named Samson by brutally overkilling a group of deserters from the war and reached the border of Aetorumia and the neighbouring lands.
In the evening, while Malak confronted Luctan over his past behavior and gifted him an Orb of Direction, Samson the Corgi nearly escaped with his life, avoiding a fight with the spirits ithat dwelled within the well he attempted to steal money from. In the morning, Malak would express his displeasure in the party’s actions against the ex-soldiers, empasionately as Malak would allow himself demanding that they could and should do better than this, before also gifting them items of their own.
A Pipe Of Rememberence for Jun, a Handy Spice Pouch for Belli and a Pot Of Awakening for Mournimar. He would then finish his meal outside, before the five + Samson would reconvene on their journeys...
To everyone’s surprise, however, at some point, while Malak bought a map, Luck made a 7 gold coin offering at the shrine and the rest restocked any provisions they might have sacrificed on the journey so far, Samson had trotted off on his own little adventure. A one dog army~!
After paying the Innkeeper handsomely for her food and donating for her establishment’s futue, the party would get in their carriage and, led by Kevin and Killer, make their way out the border town, their eyes taking in the massive expands of sands and dunes. No structures in sight, Malak being quite familiar to it. Having known this shit and the thought he’d said goodbye to it coming back to haunt him.
Before the group could leave on their weeks long journey, a laugh would catch their ears and as they’d turn their heads in the direction of the amused fellow, they’d see an aged orange haired man with a shit eating grin, making japes at the group for traveling as they appeared. In plates and leathers and all that sort of stuff.
Tumblr media
Questioning the scarred man’s attitude, the party would note that he appeared off-proportioned in a way. Somewhat dwarven, but much taller. A Half-Dwarf!
While Jun asks him if he could guide them, which he planned to offer his services for the very pricey 2 PIECES OF GOLD FOR EACH SIDE OF THE TREK, Malak would recognize his colors as being of the Galorum army. Old enemies of Aeterumia, during the war. But to Malak, that was old news. Yesterday’s enemy was today’s ally and all that.
With a wooden leg and a confident demeanor, Arryn, as he introduces himself to the party and they back to him, appeared to be the kinda guy who just hopes for work. And work he finds as the party accept him on this long journey, to guide them and keep them from walking off the path.
It pretty quickly sets in on the team just how hot it can be in the desert. And the air itself was so thick. Extra THICK, even! It felt like there was led in the air or some thing at later evenings they’d spend out in the open.  Temperatures being like under a blanket, but also nasty and humid.
Tumblr media
The guide would mention it being left over bad energy from the war. The area is inflicted with the worst vibes. The vibes that took Arryn’s leg.
Days would pass. Weeks even as the group advanced through the dunes, past hills and rocks and rocks and small mountains around them, generally peacefully, with the exclusion of any foul business. Sure enough, Arryn was a trusted guide through these parts, getting them through the sands, to some more solid areas of rock and gravel.
The walk was a lot more even and paced from there, with the obvious dunes carrying on in the distance, but something would catch the travelers’ attention. Bones. They’d see lots of bones. Almost like a trail of them, leading to this sheer clear cliff face.
Investigating them, Malak would note that they were weirdly in tact, some of them. Dead and untouched. But there’s kind of a little curve around the corner, where the bone trail leads… He’d pick up a skull and cast “Speak With Dead”
“EYY!” the awoken skull would commence.
And the questions and answers would begin.
1. “How did you die?”- “Well, I was walking, right? And then there was this hot and cold stuff. And then it was just everywhere and it was really hot? And there was this big flappy beast behind me.”
2.  What were you doing out here?” “Me and my friends were following a trail of bones and figured whatever did this’gotta be guarding some good shit.”
3. “Were you being guided by a peg legged man?” –“No, we didn’t get a guide. We thought it was a waste of treasure and had to share.”
4.  “Did you have anything on you?” “I mean, we had our weapons and armor.”
5. “Is there anyone you’d like informed?” – “If me mate Chaz made it, he’s probably back at Havik by now.”
With the air of life leaving the skull, Malak would update the crew on his findings. From there, Jun would elect to poke the distracted Bard and suggest she send Orion to investigate the inner sanctum of the bone yard.
Orion slinks off and his body shrinks into the size of a normal cat, much to Belli’s amusement and the rest’s shock and awe.
He sneaks around the corner. Belli looks through his eyes. What happens is that he turns the corner and there’s this huge mammoth bone. Think elephant graveyard. He walks under that and he does a perceive... He steps out into the open, looks back where he came from and then Belli notices that the ground gets further away.
A pause. And poof. He’s gone.
Mournimar sneaks in, next, with a rope around his waist and careful maneuvering, feeling unseen as he makes his way through the yard, while Malak casts Aid on Arryn and the ladies. As the low armored part of the team.
With a careful eye, Mournimar sees the source of all these corpses. And as the Rogueish Ranger would raise his head up, the others would follow suit. And sea an Adult Blue Dragon, staring confusedly at his clawed mits, wondering where his quick little meal went. A  great big fuck off blue dragon.
Tumblr media
Electing to avoid a fight with the dragon, for now, the group would carefully maneuver their way back to the carriage and do a big twist to avoid being directly seen by the dragon as they’d carry on and cross a river, along the way..
One evening, during shifts, Luctan taking the first... the disguised tiefling would wake Jun and ask her for her presense during his watch. The two would hold a private conversation, regarding Jun’s offer to hear him out, where they’d discuss the matter of trust, personal insecurities and pain, the understanding of pain and treatment of pain... Capping things off with a genuine interest in learning how to carry on, after a tragedy, something which the unmasked red tiefling had trouble getting to terms with.
By the end of the 1st watch, Luctan and Jun would come to an understanding and carry on with talks when the time allowed it. But until then, Luck would wake Mournimar to follow through with the second sentry outlook, while he rested.
Tumblr media
Mournimar’s watch would be uneventful, compared to what had occured in his dreams... Something he’d share with Belli, when the first signs of morning would come up.
The enthusiastic cook would poke for information, which the Tiefling Ranger would share, regailing Belli with a tale of his dream, wherein he was visited, or more like... found himself in Jorzoth’s office. One of the Archdevils had brought him in for a 1 on 1 pow-wow, where in he’d inform the archer of Lazarus’ intentions with the duelist.
Lazarus had intened, through this duel, for Mournimar to best his contractor as a means to check in on his ex.
...
To say that this is a  weird way of checking on your ex, would be an understatement. And yet, that was the story he’d tell, through bites of an omlette.
In Mournimar’s own words, the break up and Potencia really changed him. Lazarus? He’s someone in need of praise. He used to be good and he was never like this before Potencia. There were... clear regrets there, in Mournimar’s mind and heart.
But Belli would protest to this thinking as you can’t change someone, who doesn’t want to change. While Mournimar doesn’t want him to be like how Mournimar was as a child, Belli reminds her friend that Lazarus is an adult, It’s his choice to make.
Breakfast is had amongst the group and Arryn remarks that this is the best hospitality he’s had. Ever.
From there? They’d venture forth and Malak tries to call Chaz. With a D100 he Sends a message to the dude. He gives him the full story, as best as possible. Chaz is sad, but the funeral was done already. He regets the nasty stuff he’s said over the year. But is greatful. Godspeed!
Drawing near to a river, Luctan would give Belli her pot. Like. Literal pot that had been in his posession for about a month now, give or take. Within one of the ceramic pots there were 10 silver ball bearings, each spelling a letter in Belli’s name.
And in turn, Belli would give Luck 5 smoke bombs. And she’d even show him her stash of a variety of bombs. Which she had been planning on using with the help of Orion as a dive bomber.
Stupified by his friend’s madcap ideas, Luck would be quiet for the most part during the next part of the journey as they’d cross over the river on a bridge and go through a town, populated by kobolds of different scales.
Initially weary of the group, they’d soon enough relax and observe, even follow them along as the party carried on through the town, when Malak appied his knowledge of the Draconic tongue, holding a friendly conversation with the locals, while Luck used his Prestidigitation to create funny images and smells for the kids.
As the town of Odum generally doesn’t generally get visitors, the party are kind of a treat to them. Through the talk, a kind of friendship forms with the Kobold settlement and the party learn that the dragon of the desert was quite the nasty one. Every time they’d send someone over to check what his demeanor was, they’d have to send another one, to check as well, because no one ever came back.
Mental note.
In the midst of this conversation, Jun would make friends with two of the littlest kobold kids, who’d climb on her and ask her all kinds of questions. Like why her face was the way it was. She’d happily use her shapeshifting power to appear like a Golden Dragonborn, much to the kids’ amusment.
Tumblr media
With friendship in their heardts, the party would eventually carry on, venturing forth! Arryn would warn them that the next week is just gonna be desert. There’s a lake at some point, but that’s our lot.
While the week’s travel carries on, Belli shows off her vocal skills as she speaks in a few new languages she had picked. Among which was Dwarven, much to Luck’s shock. And frustration. ‘cause it took him 3 years to learn that on his own!
(”What? Like it’s hard.”)
Arryn, however, upon hearing Belli speak in Dwarven turns pale. When asked if he’s ok, the half-dwarf would reveal that anyone’d be shocked on hearing a nearly dead language.
In one day the dwarves and dragonborn in the area died off. Green evil magic took then down. Arryn survived, because he is part human. Malak knows this to be the effect of the Blight spell, but on a major level.
Jun suggests Steamroot to help with the pain. Her partner was hit with that spell and it had helped manage that. Arryn’s greatful for the suggestion.
They’d venture forth, once more, parallel to the main road. Mournimar asks about why we’re not on the main road. Bad things, ghosts, appear on the main road. Ghosts of the Dragonborn, particularly dangerous spirits.  Spirits are his expertise and avoiding them is where the expertise is at.
One particular night, deep into their expedition, Arryn asks them over a warm evening meal where exactly they were headed. Not to Tutum itself, right?
The party reveal some of what they’re after, but that seems to be more than enough for Arryn to put 2 and 2 together.
“Of course, it’d make sense for them to eventually send someone to clean their tracks.” he’d remark, which in turn would push the party to question him on what he meant.
Arryn would say that it was never confirmed, but implied that the Council was involved in what happened to the dwarves and dragonborn. According to him, as he’d elaborate on events from the battle, as he was a soldier at the time, two dragons were in on the plan. One was dragged off to Guan and the other slain by the King’s Blade, which was burried within the tomb, onward.
Tumblr media
Before anyone can stop her, a furious Belli’d send a message to River, demanding answers that she wasn’t even sure of the Halfling would have.
A hurt River would reply back with as much as she claimed to know, which was that this was a private job being done for a benefactor she couldn’t disclose. Upset, she’d question if Belli mistrusted her now?!
A debate is held on how to proceed.
Ultimately, the party  agree to go talk to the sword and get the facts straight. From there they’d see where they’d go..
Arryn would remark with surprise on how quickly they’d trust what he had to say had any truth to it.
As the journey continued, they’d avoid the ghost town. Like. Town of ghosts. And keep going and going to a cave with funky carving.
There are carvings of a Tiefling with a big, big chonky sword. Fighting a dragon. An outline of an army that kind of fades and half of them disappear...
Tumblr media
Underneath this is this really fine intricate dwarven lettering and runes. As we get to the shrine, we end the session.

In the past couple of episodes, 8 teams have been fighting for supremacy. Each trying to be more fficient, each trying to do what they do better, faster, harder and stronger than their opponent to reach and win the finale of the Spring Welcoming Tournament.
We’ve seen explosions, we’ve seen dinosaurs and we’ve seen the steady rise of two teams.
Today, these two teams go up against one another. The winner takes 20,000 gold and a mansion. And for someone among them, there is something personal as well...
Seon Adventures Episode 28: “The Cultbusters vs The Traveling Gentlefolk”
The Day of the Tournament’s finale has arrived and each member of the Cultbusters deals with things in their own way. Humor, a precautionary spell set in place, stretching and words to go by. Sweets. Psyching one’s self under a silent gaze, never leaving the direction of the Echosmith Hall, the Colliseum, wherein the battle shall be held.
The party head out and make an easy entrance, with Malak casting Aid on Belli, Amelia and Mournimar. Entering, we are greeted by two figures. One, River, recovered from the 1st round and back in work attire, waiting her turn as our gnome business partner, Peppery Pete comes forth.
Pep talk aside, the aged gnome reveals another motive for his presence in the waiting room for our party, which is to give us an open offer for a job of some sort. A job to map out some part of the continent, under the request of one of Pete’s investors. A high paying job, to be sure from one Lucius Bennett.
Tumblr media
As Belli hands Orion and the remainder of her Blueberry Muffins for Pete to take care of (the muffins clearly there to appease the fey creature’s eternal hunger), River comes up next and informs the party of a job offer of her own.
A mostly hush-hush work, River’s offer is the retrieval of a valuable artifact lost for quite a while. She appears to trust us with the details for later talks, should we come to her as well, after having successfully brought the crystal ball from our Cultbusting escapade.
Despite Belli’s best efforst, we do not receive any spoilers on the mission, beyond the surface level stuff. River congratulates the party on how far the Cultbusters have come in the tournament, appreciating the initiative of it all and suggests they go for the Wizard first..
“Go for the wizard’s knees!” which turns everyone’s heads in Amelia’s direction, given that, after all, Sabrina is her sister. She does agree, to some extent. Taking out Sabrina first would be the most logical move to make. However she opposes any scarring and long lasting injuries.
Tumblr media
“I’m here. And I’m watching your every. Fucking. Move!”
As Malak casts Anti-Life on himself, which causes black lines to temporarily cover his body, the horn blows, signaling the beginning of the finale.
The Trial of the Betrayed.
Both teams step out. The Cultbusters from the South Side, The Traveling Gentlefolk from the North, right from under the VIP seats.
As the man, sitting in the middle raises and then quickly lowers his hands, the battle begins.
Initiative is rolled and Malak takes point.
Tumblr media
And casts Guardian Of Faith in the middle of the five. It takes the form of a Seviper (you know, from Pokémon)! One move out of it’s range and the victim will take the appropriate damage.
With this, Belli takes action and focuses on the promised goal. Taking out the wizard first. Thus, she looks to Sabrina and focuses a spell she had been holding onto for a while to use: Enemies Abound.
Tumblr media
Sabrina tries to fight through it. But fails, perceiving everyone around her as a hostile target. As a bonus to all this, she inspires Amelia, given the situation they find themselves in.
With all that happens, Landis calls for his Crusdaer’s Mantle and charges towards Malak, right after getting bitten for his troubles by Sammy, the Seviper Guardian Of Faith.
Tumblr media
Standing before the Cleric, he glares, aching from the damage he took from his clever first cast of the match, while the old man that appears with some similar features to him, Jeffry Ramsey tries to knock Belli out of her concentration.
But she easily avoids both his arrows.
Seeing all this, a determined Luctan takes his action, pulling the Greatsword off his back, chanting a word and suddenly... teleporting out of sight from the rest!
Only to reappear right in front of Dink Jawbone, Griffin Tallywork and Sabrina, herself. Three strikes delivered. A Slash on Griffin, a Slash on Dink and a Bonk with the flat side of his major weapon on the wizard in an attempt to stop her in her tracks.
Tumblr media
Yes. Luck has truly become... Anime.
With Sabrina down, Dink messed up badly and Griffin not looking so hot, the Halfling pulls out a mace and axe in each hand, attacking Luctan as he teleports again, this time within his reach. He hits twice with the mace, barely doing any notable damage to the magic fighter, right before missing with the axe.
Luctan, seeing this display, and seeing Landis ready to attack Malak, leaves, offended at the insult of Griffin’s weak attacks. And gets hurt some from Landis’Mantle as he draws within range.
But the halfling has no time to process all this as Amelia charges in, right when Mournimar first misses, then critically hits Dink, knocking him out for a microsecond.
Tumblr media
Amelia cocks her fists and swings in fast motion against the dual wielding Halfling. Brutalizing him with that good ol’ Dope Ass Monk Shit.
As Luck approaches, Malak attacks the Paladin, unloading blow after powerful blow. First, his Executioner’s Axe Spiritual Weapon strikes from the back, then he comes for the man with his actual axe, followed up with a couple of channeled divine attacks. Each strike is fueled with Necrotic Damage as what Landis essentially goes through in six seconds is essentially the touch of Death Itself.
Tumblr media
Her avatar, Malak, the Death Cleric.
By the time he’s done, Landis does not look happy at all over this situation. Truly did not expect such initiative from a man of faith. But One does not simply underestimate a Death Cleric.
This opening gives Belli the chance to initiate the second part of her plan. The plucky Bard focuses her magic and music onto the brutalized Dink and Griffin aaaand...
Tumblr media
Puts them to bed with her signature Sleep spell.  Doctor Sleep in the house.
And for all of Malak’s efforts, she quickly gives him inspiration. Given Landis’ actions that come, following this, the cleric may as well need that.
Slash, followed by a second. Divine Smite implemented and Malak gets rocked in retaliation for all that happened mere moments prior.
Tumblr media
With the focus shifting away from the Folk’s archer, Ramsey dashes over to Sabrina, resucitating her with a healing touch. And takes a bite for his troubles from the Guardian Of Faith.
As Luck approaches Landis, he attempts to hit him from behind with a Guiding Bolt, but that misses. The frustration of that misaction drives him to fight on, however as Luck Surges into Action.
One slash. It hits. Second slash, also hits!
Mournimar tries to help with taking on the Paladin. But the armored avenger dodges out of the way and the arrows fly through Amelia’s hair as she makes a dramatic bullet time dodge.
Tumblr media
Regaining her posture, she turns to the slept men before her, right as Sabrina starts getting up again. And she starts stomping on them, flurry of blows upon flurry of blows Dink and Griffin.
Tumblr media
The horrific display that follows knocks out the two men, which brings Sabrina to an internal monologue, in which she decides it best to prepare a spell for her lover, Landis.
As this happens, Jeffrey takes a Spiritual Axe to the chest from Malak, who ducks and dodges a swing from Landis’ sword, making a run for the Ranger across the field. While Belli sticks true to character and sends Sabrina into a dreamland of her own with another Sleep Spell.
Tumblr media
Upon reaching Griffin and Dink, he touches each with the Spare The Dying spell, stabilizing them in the process from slipping beyond unconsciousness.
With the Paladin distracted, Belli uses the acting skills to good use to copy Sabrina’s voice and goes “LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!” at Landis. Which gets him to, of course, look behind his back to see a Sleeping Sabrina, causing him to scream out in surprise.
Tumblr media
Landis gets played like a fiddle. Again.
Enraged and entering desperation mode with two of his allies unconscious, a third fallen asleep and forth barely holding it together and casting, Landis strikes Luctan with his longsword, drawing blood and knocking the helmet off his head with the spin of his footing.
Luctan, as though by his titular alias or a twist of fate, avoids what clearly would have then become a Smiting attack, saving himself from the kinda damage that even his parents would have felt.
Lucky indeed, as Jeffrey Ramsey casts Conjure Animal, from his grounded position, summoning a pair of Giant Spiders. One next to Luctan and another next to Belli.
Fun. Or not so much for Mournimar, who releases a girly scream, as the tiefling has to watch as one bites onto Belli, who luckily fights through the poison and keeps the sleep spell a-going.
Tumblr media
Surprisingly, the other spider goes for Malak. A mistake as it’s web misses the cleric. And for that mistake, Ramsey pays with a blue blur that charges him from the side, while Luck dodges a sword slash from the Paladin as he dashes to Belli.
In reaching distance of her, Luctan casts Flight on the Bard, in order to give her some distance from the large arachnid.
Angry that she can’t get to Landis, Amelia opts to finish things off with knocking out Jeffrey Ramsey. And that she does in spectacular fashion as each of her blows strikes true and hard on the long range combatant’s body.
Tumblr media
True to form, Amelia knocks his ass out, using all her strength, speed and inspiration for this task, right as Mournimar critically wounds and then finishes off one of Ramsey’s spiders. As Ramsey loses consciousness, the other Spider vanishes.
And thus, the two stop the menace that is the Spiders man.
Gagging over the spider doing it’s spidery-death thing aside, Mournimar hears the horn blow. The crowd erupting in cheers and chants as the battle comes to an end. And with it, the Spring Welcoming Tournament!
Celebrations begin as Amelia takes to her sister, before she gets escorted out of the arena with the rest of The Traveling Gentlemen. Luctan has no time to follow them with a gaze as Malak calls for Sammy to wrap himself around the lot of them and bring them into a Celebratory Group Hug, wherein compliments start flying from the refocused Tiefling in disguise.
Tumblr media
An announcer joins The Cultbusters in the arena and, using a Thaumaturgical purple rock, declares them the winners, before handing them a golden key, which Mournimar accepts. This. This is the key to their new home.
Someone in the audience goes “Why didn’t you make her a T-Rex again?!” Amelia questions this too, but Belli assures her she just has to ask.
Fireworks blast overhead and Belli uses what time she has left under Luck’s spell to fly about, just overhead Mournimar to be the “taller one”.
Tumblr media
As the high from the battle starts to go down, the party are given the address for the ball that will take place later on, which is funny, ‘cause it’s in the arena, ya know? The ball will be this evening and the victors are expected to wear their best wear. Which means, of course... Shopping time!
And shop they do. Right after they visit their new home, of course!
Tumblr media
It is an enormous place, fitting for 5 people and guests in mind.
A stoney structure with a wooden fill in set between the rocks.
5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 study rooms, kitchen and a dining area. There is a large greenery in the back that is their yard, perfect for gardening!
Each gets an outfit fitting their style, with the nuance of every party member spending their cut of ther 20,000 gold (4,000 each) in different ways.
Malak hands coin to the people around the area of their new home, near the Crematorium. His kindness brings many a smiles on people’s faces that day.
Belli, with the aid of Ficus, buys and delivers a ton of toys and money to the Orphanage, where she shakes Doreen, the Firbolg, to her knees with the display of kindness. With all this money... all kids will be able to go through school! And if anyone needs anything, Belli would gladly give more. Which brings Doreen to tears.
Santa Belli teaches kids the true meaning of D&D.
Amelia visits a couple of places. Harper’s Treats and later, her favorite flower shop in the city (which for some reason I didn’t write down in this session. Because I am dummy.) And from Lissandra, the Eladrin, she buys one of every baked good in the store.  Lissandra’s shooketh.
Mournimar, meanwhile, visits Dyunificus’ Temple and gives a large number of money, much to the awe of a halfling fellow, who winks at the praying tiefling. “Bless yoouuuuuu!”
All the while everyone spends their cash, Luck remains at their new home, in the room he picked for himself. There, he sits, half undressed and staring at the bag of coinage splayed on a fancy chair before him. He sits. And he ponders. Because that’s a lot of money and he has a lot of thoughts going through his fatigued mind.
Tumblr media
As the night comes and people gather and enter the Echosmith once more, the party make their arrival. Fancy. As. Fuck.
Tumblr media
Archers set up on top, to guard the area in case someone comes to wreck the festivities, the Cultbusters take notice of Idarys from Crystalgate’s Finest, who was placed as the lone guard on door duty.
Looking inside, there’s a grand buffet table and food and drink abound. Anything we can want? It’s there! For the pickings!!!
Aside from Idarys and most members of the Forest Hearted Bretheren, the second of whom opted out due to this fancy-schmancy stuff not being their thing, pretty much everyone is here from the different teams, even Gutrot from Miniature Mayhem! Though, his charges aren’t in sight. Oddly enough.
Ye Olde Ska music catches Belli’s attention and she points out the Kobold band “Less Than Drake” to everyone. Mostly playing horn instruments, there is a drummer among them.
Pete waves at the five from among the crowd, dressed in his finest tux, which makes him look even smaller. His work clothes having some bulk to them, apparently.
Without even saying a word, like their minds are in sync, Amelia and Luck grab large plates of fried chicken and bottles of Alcohol and bring them out to Idarys.
Who. Um. Yeah. “Confiscates” the contraband.
Tumblr media
While Belli approaches the Band and Luck searches for Ficus, Malak takes heed of the people that have arrived at the celebration, while having himself a good nom.
Pretty soon Luck finds the Roguish Narah steals him away from Lord Arwen, with whom he had been having a conversation at the time. And then. They dance. With Belli, who convinced the Kobolds, to join them for a performance, using her clout as a Narah, herself.
And the boys dance. Going full Carameldancen on the dancefloor.
While this goes on, Mournimar and Samson meet up and catch up on old times. Samson admits that he hadn’t seen that much action before and after meeting the party and was genuinely glad to see them again. He missed adventuring with the lot of them.
Mournimar, suddenly, asks for a favor. He hands Samson 30 gold to split between himself, Savon and the guild. Which, Samson takes seriously as he writes the instructions on his hand. With blood. Go big or go home, huh?
The tiefling ranger then would help Samson with a request of his own, helping him to find a secluded area where he could just. Chill out from all the noise.Samson winds up on a balcony, where he relaxes and takes a puff from his pipe.
He congratulates Mourni on the win and then... well. Awkward nature lads fuck off to do their own things. Which leads Mournimar to Sabrina.
And Landis.
And they talk about the fight earlier in the day. “Good fight.” Mournimar feels apologetic for bruising Griffin’s ego, but Sabrina waves that off, saying that he needed to be taken down a peg.  “You know how men can be!” she jokes. But it flies over the poor tief’s head.
Looking to the dance floor, he tries to add mood lighting for the oblivious Luck and Ficus, but the anti-magic field around them prevents such usage.
Then, in an act of kindness that was not forseen, or maybe it was??? Mournimar hands 1,000 gold to Sabrina and Landis. Which just floors the wizard and Paladin, who admit that they were going to re-enter the tournament the following year.
Asked if he wanted anything in return for this exess of money, Mournimar declines. As it is a gift! To FRIENDS OF THE PARTY!!! Alas, Mourni is not good with handling money, it seemed...
This whole thing prods  Amelia to wander over soon enough, extra nervous over the situation at hand.  She worries if tieflings are just like that. Handing out money whenever, given Luck’s own track record with giving money out of kindness in the past.
Sabrina is just. Amazed. They could buy a house with this much money.  Pay off the schooling. Taking the money, she opts to head home and put it somewhere safe, while Landis follows soon enough after her. Confused and doesn’t know what to do with himself. It’s been a weird few days.
What follows is an... awkward talk. Mournimar tries to apologize for past behavior, not being good with words and general manners... But! But Mournimar wants to do better. By her, by everyone and aplogizes for any trouble caused in the past.
On her end... Amelia speaks as well.
She doesn’t hold it against Mournimar. But she cares a lot, really and is hurt, but “it’s ok” as she puts it.
Mournimar offers to talk with her, if she ever wants to  to talk or chat, but Amelia doesn’t seem to easily be reciprocating the comraderie with Mournimar.  If anything changes, just let me know.” – Mournimar states. And in turn,  Amelia suggests she’s too sober and she’s not in the mood for feelings. Normally any other day she’d be so happy, but it’s been a few days.
Looking about, they do see a variety of alcohols. Top shelf stuff. And Mournimar jokes about the Centaur Moonshine. Amelia, countering of course, that she was on a ship for 9 years. Worrying about her wouldn’t be necessary.
Um. Good talk there.
In the meanwhile, Belli would get herself into shenanigans with the Guards, revolving around Orion, his size and his very presence at the festivities, as animals weren’t allowed.
Half a table. Half of it! Cleared out by the chunky cat familiar. Shock and awe!
Eventually she and Mournimar join up again and play “Hot or Not”, judging the fancy people’s looks. It’s wild.
All the while, Malak keeps an eye out for anyone evil vibey.
Tumblr media
He seems some people, who are high off their tits, no one malicious. With the high investigation check, he sees a gentleman, who wasn’t in any of the tournaments. He’s high elven, red haired, clearly getting on a lot in years, though. He gives off very low-key evil vibes. Like in the rich man billionaire evil kinda way. His vibes are fucking rancid, bro. That special kind of evil. You know? I can’t be evil, I give to charity” kinda evil.
Self rightcheous-morally corrupt vibes. His face seems familiar, but he’s unsure from where. He can’t quite recall him, sadly. Dude’s pale and has a tattoo on his ring finger of a snake eating it’s own tail. So maybe he’s a follower of Keemis, as well? Odd that such a person would, however.
He’s talking with Salvador, the Aasimar from the Crystalgate’s Finest.
Luck and Amelia each try to learn first hand from the man.
What Luctan learns is that this man is:
- Ingram Bretannen, one of the vigilants of the guard. Oldest and longest of them. Trained with the captain.
- The guy is bragadocious as fuck.
- People tried taking his money, but that was rumor and heresay. He offers us a job at Lucious Beckett’s. (Pete gave us his card).
- He’s been bullshitting a few of the stories, he’s been in the city for a while, something about the 30 years ago seems dishonest.
And while Luck would go off to find Malak and inform him of what knowledge he had gathered...
Amelia approaches, after talking with Malak as well about the guy, while Mournimar and Belli accidentally commit microaggressions against elven workers.
What she learns is...
- Ingram is high up in the guard. Old, snooty and also has a normal wedding ring, as well as the tattoo of the Keemis ring. In honor of one of his late wives.
- She creeps him out.
- His 3rd wife’s name is Arabella and he has 3 kids.  Gilme and twins Luanda and Ellis.
- His sister sails on the “Yellow Tail”.
- This Fuckmothering Shit looks a bit like NEL!
- He totally has had kids out of wedlock, based on his behavior!
Tumblr media
(20 minutes of fantasy Billy Mays jokes follow as Belli makes acquaintances with one, Bardy Scott. Lauren kills us with laughter. It’s. It’s so good, ok?! You had to be there.)
Still on the search for Malak, who had already left for the Keemis Temple, Luctan winds up being passed by The Traveling Gentlefolk.Which he only really notices after getting patted on the shoulder by a passing Landis, arm in arm with Sabrina and the money.
He gets the feeling, from this gesture, that Landis was being friendly.
And as he watches them go... Luctan feels himself in turmoil...
Tumblr media
As the night and festivities carry on, the four remaining decide to crash the night at Nel’s place. But before that, they agree to go over to the temple and bring Malak with them. He is, after all, a Cultbuster.
Small talk is had along the way over getting the cats kitty toys and bonding is had over the whole thing.
All the while Malak would talk with Mother Destine, discussing the man he was unnerved by at the familiar looking elven man (WHO IS DEFINITELY NOT NEL’S DAD! NO SIREE, BOB!)
After a short discussion (I really wish I could record the sessions for better summaries ; u ;;;; ), Malak walks out of the temple and is greeted by the party, happily taking them up on their offer to head to Nel’s.
Tumblr media
Seriously. We need so much Guidance as a party. it’s ridicilous.
Nel welcomes the party, in pajamas. The good kind. Silk and pink. She’s got class, damn it! She congratulates the five on the achievement and she even made sweets for the occasion!
Zone Of Truth shenanigans happen after Nel jokes about being with Belli’s dad.
“Did you fuck my dad, Nel?!”
She didn’t, of course.
And then... wlel, the bombshell not so much drops, as it reaches the final stage of the explosion as Amelia admits to the rest of the party that she is retiring from her adventuring life.
Tumblr media
After everything they had been through, Amelia was in a different place as a person. She had Archie. She had Nelatha? And now? Now she had even her sister back!
The party takes this in their own way. With Belli being the most vocal one as she enters a panic mode over how to break the news to the animals. With Morgan vibing at the new mannor the party have, what are they to do with this info?!
Amelia is certain in her decision. And though Luctan keeps quiet and focuses as much of a brave face as he can, on the inside it’s a whole different story.
All this and there is so much work to do too.
Jobs from River and Pete. A revisit to Lake Stren? Going back to Menum to see if anything can be done for Luck’s body?!.
Luck’s body... Oh, now there was a story that needed more elaboration, eh?
As though on a whim, maybe more to it, of course, Luck removed the ring from his right middle finger and his form would change into his true body. And the glamour he had put his festive suit under faded, showing the deep gold color, instead of the fresh mint vibe that was there for hours on end.
He does so. and elaborates as much as he can brave to Malak and Nel. Why the ring. Why the vendetta. Why the everything that he can tell them, except what he had confided in Amelia.
Tumblr media
And as the revelation of Luck’s appearance hits the last two members of the party, the new Malak and the honorary Nelatha, this episode comes to an end...

Following the victory over The Traveling Gentlefolk and the celebration of the evening, the Cultbusters had come together to the home of one, Nelatha, where Amelia Zephyrine made her choice to remain in Crystalgate, having achieved personal goals that she had aspired to get done. After a seemingly unanamous acceptance of this decision, Luctan revealed to Nel and Malak his true appearance, after a long time of hiding.
With the intense fight, celebrations and revelations having come and gone, the party prepare for the next step of their journey and whatever life has in store for them onward in...
Seon Adventures Episode 29: STONKS AND SHARES!!!
It is the day after the tournament and each of the Cultbusters find themselves on a journey of preparations, conscious and subconscious of what’s to come.
First up, Mournimar Da’Vir~!
The Tiefling Ranger, accompanied by his trusty Dire Wolf, Morgan Da’Vir, headed off to a familiar face for a familiar ask. Specifically, the horned naturalist went to Delemmak and ordered himself a new armor and melee weapon, while Delemmak’s half-orc apprentice worked the forge, under the scruffy elven man’s instructions.
After some measuring and fitting, he was left with certain options. Mythril like chainmail in one category and a special studded leather armor with fuzed in metalic paddings. Mournimar would take the latter, for a combined 600gp, for base price of 400 and improvement price of 200 gp.
As for a weapon, the madlad, who once bought a nail bat from Delemmak wound up with the option of a magical blade. A rapier of sorts, with Elven writing on one side. Thanks to his knowledge of Elven, due to his herritage, he is able to discern the lyrics to “All Star” by Smashmouth.
Tumblr media
Elven, turly a beautiful and magical language.
Following the purchase of this 250gp weapon, Mournimar would then find himself, alongside his animal companion, roaming the streets of Crystalgate and walking across the bridge, before taking note of something in the water.
A bottle of sorts. Curious, and much to the confusion and fatigue of an elderly woman that witnesses him do so, he jumps over the edge and lands in the shallow water, taking a closer look at what is revealed to be the bottle that was attached to Luck’s wings, which in turn were attached to that hellish contraption.
Still attached to said wings. Apparently this being where Kit’s disposal of the wings had led to.
Watching from dry land, after a “dramatic” fight with the straps of the contraption, Mournimar would see the wings drift away.
Tumblr media
(Coincidentally, did you know what Luck and the wings’ favorite style of swimming was? Butterfly B))
With this out of the way and opting not to share his findings with Luctan, Mournimar would carry on with the day, until reconvening back with the party in their new mannor.
Luctan’s day goes a biiiit differently, compared to the rest.
Following long pondering after the tournament and a near sleepless night, due to the situation he found himself in with TTG and Amelia’s sister, Sabrina, Luck had made a list of activities to keep his mind off of what was supposed to be a simple vengeance quest.
The streetdumb tiefling in disguise would begin by precuring supplies, tools, materials and work on building something he had never, until recently, thought he’d ever want to make: a shrine.
Tumblr media
Not for any god, but for a worshipper of a god. With hard work and determination, as well as a bit of an imagination, Luctan would construct a shrine to Keemis, for Malak.
Tumblr media
He felt it the least he could do, given the work Malak had put up for them. And all their shenanigans until now.
From there he heads to Peppery Pete’s, buying the party a number of potions. Out of habit, he buys five. Each of the Greater Healing Variety. Beyond that, he would get something else, in a glass casing.
The Catharsis Poison. Worth 250gp, A deep red, runny potion. Tastes like bad wine. Upon drinking, the drinker will sweat profusely, followed by intense vomiting, crying, urination, and diarrhea for 3d6 minutes. If the drinker survives, they lose all emotional attachment for 2d4 days.
After much complimenting being thrown Pete’s way, by Luck, the red tiefling would ask his business partner about where he may perhaps percure a tattoo of the magical kind. Given directions, Luctan would find himself at the home/establishment of a tattooist Elf with a floofy beard.
A real pro of 300 years, Luck would essentially be in safe hands, as long as he was good with the gold and tite with the toughness.
For the next 6 hours Luck would have to bite into his black tanktop shirt and grit and, occasionally shed a few tears, as magical golden and purple ink was fused to his chest’s skin.
Tumblr media
By the time it’s over, the butterfly-wing esque pattern is infused into his flesh, perfectly and with no diseases! OR sepsis! (DARN!)
Mark of the Elvenkind:
Size:
Medium
Location:
Any
Intricacy:
Average
Power:
Low
This mark imbues its wearer with the benefits of Fey Blood, granting them immunity to magical sleep and advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
Feeling safer from the magical mind control of others, Luctan would pay his tattooist and dress back up. After which he’d continue to the next part of his work:
INVESTMENTS!
Meeting with Delemmak and then Father Eldod, the Dragonborn, Luctan would invest high quantities of gold into each’s respective field. In one way to aid his favorite people in Crystalgate and in another way to make money in town, while the party was away on adventures.
The grattitude in each man was evident as in one case, Luck was helping his colleague and his daughter, Glashta, who’s mother works as an Accountant (Orccountant, if you will). While in the other he was aiding a kindly old Dragonborn, with whom he had made one of the deepest connections two people could make. Personal. Intimate: THE LOVE FOR ARCHITECTURE!!!
And as he’d leave his greatful, tearful friend, Luctan would again make the “Call me” sign with his thumb and pinky.
As day gave way to night, Luck pondered on possibly hiring a butler for the Party’s Mannor. But he wasn’t fully sure on how to handle such a task yet, given that any previous “help” he had working under him did not do so of their own volition...
So put that one in the “LATER” category, as Luck would bring himself, with a package under arm, to Nel and Amelia’s place.
After formalities are out of the way, Luctan presents the package, put together with wrapping paper and rope, purple clumps coming out from a few openings. Amelia would accept said parcel and in turn pass to the tiefling a gift she had been holding onto, herself, for the longest time.
Wrapped in paper, there would be flowers. They’d be dried up, but still put together Gladiolus (Gladioli?). Flowers, famous for often being given to gladiators (hence the name).
The gladiolus flowers symbolize honor and remembrance,as well among many a other qualities: Strength of character, faithfulness, sincerity and integrity, Infatuation and never giving up. A number of these qualities deemed fitting by the blue Genasi, for the red Tiefling.
In turn, from Luctan’s gift to her, Amelia would become the owner of a purple jacket. Identical to Luck’s jacket, from the early days of their adventures, with the notable put togetherness of the sleeves.
And an item, stuffed in the inner pocket of the jacket: Luck’s Blink Dagger. Still in mint condition, too.
Tumblr media
The two talk then. And hug it out and then part ways, promissing to meet again, later on, whenever time allows them.
ALL WHILE THIS WAS HAPPENING, THOUGH!
Malak had come earlier to Nel and Amelia’s place, earliest of all.
Welcomed inside, Malak would make an offer of enchanting an item for Amelia, as a farewell present to her. After much searching, she would pick her seashell necklace out and give it for this enchantment.
Using diamond dust and the right incantation, as well as tracing his fingers over the necklace, the Death Cleric would spend a while, infusing a spell into the item. An hour after the casting, Malak would create a Necklace of Sending for Amelia. With a bonus password for personal usage only. Chosen by Amelia, the password is “Alexander”.
Thankful, she in turn would give him a fitting present. Her Keemis necklace, the one with the magical enchantment on it. With a bit of effort, she manages to place it over his head and onto his neck, asking only that he keeps the party safe. Determined to wait for their return.
Tumblr media
Malak wishes the two of them a nice life together. A happy life together.
Amelia confides in him her worries. In 25 years of life, she’s never been so close to death and she nearly died twice with them. It’ll shake anyone and gives appreciation. She knew the time to leave was coming. And with the success at the tournament, it was the fitting moment to step back from the spotlight and reasess her life, now that she had Nel, Archie and Sabrina.
Malak takes this into account and Blesses Amelia, as the torch gets properly passed.
With this done, Malak preps himself and his know how to build himself a shrine to Keemis! Preferably in the garden! So he walks on back to the house. And following a note, he finds Luctan’s gift for him there, as it is.
(Much laugh is had ooc.)
The Cleric would approach and take position in front of the shrine, lighting up a pair of small flames atop the offering plates. One flame black. Another White.  Sick.
Speaking of spotlights and gifts! Belli Narah takes the stage and begins her busy day by Sending a message to Bardy Scott, asking him where he got that Thaumaturgy Stone from! "I bought it from Peppery Pete and you can too!” is the answer she gets in turn.
And to Peppery Pete’s she goes, buying herself a stone for 50gp. Which she narrows down the price of to 45gp, for advertisement purposses.
Words are said.
Jokes are made.
And the intricacies of adventuring life get debated between the two, before Belli parts ways for now and carries onto the Nature’s Bounty cafe.
Where she meets Guinnevere. A bald human woman, with a raven on her shoulder.  Why does she meet her? Because Belli demands to speak to the manager.
Why?
Because she wants to get a membership. Why? As a gift for Amelia, of course! Big money is paid as Belli goes all out for the Air Genasi Monk, Getting her a card with  50 visitations free of charge.
The chummy bard goes beyond the gifts, interestingly enough! For she also suggests the addition of a gift shop for customers and passer bys. So into it, she is, that she follows her rich kid instincts and makes...
Investments! She makes an investment in the establishment! STONKZ ARE BEING PUT IN!  100 gold is being placed in the investment... um... corner? Is that where you put investments?!
After gruelling and hilarious (ooc-ly) discussions on Familiar shapes, Belli heads off home, with the rest of the party, where they discuss in what order they are to do their work.
Luctan brings out the potions, handing a Greater Healing for each of the three and quickly realizing half-way into pulling out a forth that there are only 4 of them and thus, he had bought one in exess.
Putting it away, the quartet talk shop, with Luctan (with Mournimar’s aide) elaborating on their adventure in stopping their first cult. And the crystal ball involved. The visions there in and the specifity of Lake Stren in all this.
The four ultimately agree on an order of solving the cases:
Lake Stren > River’s Job Offer >  Lucius Bennett ‘s Offer.
Luck’s personal quest of regaining limbs was to be on wait for now..
As the group carry on conversations on what to do in the meanwhile, before making contact with the clients in the morning, Malak raises the subject of the shrine Luck had made for him in the garden. He would have much preferred to make it himself, as it was his deity and his worship...
But he is ultimately greatful to the tiefling for the work he put in. Luctan sharing that it felt the least he could do for Malak, after the priest’s kindness towards the party.
Then the idea gets brought up for a late night house warming party!
Belli takes to the task quickly and enthusiastically and makes calls to family and friends!
Confirmed guests from the Sending are Sabrina, Ficus, Kit, Pete and Samson. Bob Narah confirms that he’ll get the kids and enough alcohol for a cheeky 50.
All out of slots, the Bard goes old school and heads to the home of Nel and Amelia, becoming the last person of the party (currently) to visit the two that day. She makes with the knocking and is welcomed inside by a pajama’d up Nel, quite surprised with how everyone’s coming in order again and again.
Before the announcement of the party, she hands the fellow half-elf bard a knitted hat that she had made for her, which Nel accepts. With the excitement of that one relative that keeps getting socks for Christmas.
Being pointed to Amelia, Belli elaborates on the evening’s imprompty party (cut back to Luck as he uses some magic to light up candles and stuff with Purple Flames).
Weary of going out at this time, now that she was with Nel, Amelia asks for the level of the party, who else would be there and the like.
“Super casual.” is Belli’s answer as Nel, having heard the word “party”, immediatelly would switch outfits like in a cartoon, magically wearing an evening gown and ready!
“How’d you do that?!” Belli would ask, shocked at the sudden change.
“Showbusiness, Darling!” is Nel’s answer.  Nel is always ready.
Like Luctan and Malak before her, Belli too would then have a heart to heart conversation with Amelia, over the Air Genasi’s departure from the party. Truths are spoken. Amelia feeling herself an outsider in the group, with how the others had bonded. And felt herself unappreciated in the time, having closed herself off to some extent.
The alchohol during the time she traveled with the group was no incident. It was a coping mechanism.
With adventuring done, she had made the decision to cut down on the drinking.
Belli would, in turn, apologize for making Amelia feel unwanted and unapproached. She’d cry, genuine tears of remorse for not being there for her enough.
The two would hug it out then.
Mad respect.
(THERE ARE EMOTIONS! I AM SOBBING LIKE A FUCK AS THEY HUG!)
With Belli handing Amelia the card from Nature’s Bounty, Amelia would deliver a gift in turn to Belli. Flowers for the bard, as well. This time, specifically for Belli, Chrysanthemums.
Tumblr media
Parting ways, until the party, Belli would visit one more person to offer them a spot on the guest list:  Doreen. The head of the orphanage. And after some successful chatting, Doreen would join in.
And the party would follow next...

Seon Adventures Episode 31: From The River, From The Lake
A day has passed since the party bested the highwayman Stone Giant (Dave).
They find themselves now in Bavorum, where most of the group had their first encounter with each other... and the Death Cult. And many people travel with a strange pace form one entrance point of Bavorum, to the next, leading them to Lake Stren...
With careful perception from the group, they take note that the people transitioning from entering to exiting the town through this particular route walk absentmindedly, as though not of their own volition. Their gazes, distant, vacant.
It is through this insight that Belli takes to approaching a familiar looking dwarven woman, attempting to shake her free from whatever’s keeping her mind clouded. Alas, even with Malak’s help, they don’t manage to free her, as she carries on...
Tumblr media
With a message of the activity being sent to Layla Duststone, head of the Darksbane Army and a hope that the soldiers she had sent to the lake would do what they can, they deduce that the time draws short and so the party makes a temporary split. With most of them taking to the road, Belli goes to acquire the services of the town guards.
After a brief tiff with the half-elven receptionist beside the head of the town’s guard, Belli reunites with said head of the guard. Shenanigans ensue as Belli goes through the motions of trying to convince the dwarven man that there is trouble. That people are under mind control and heading like sheep for the slaughter.
It takes some time, but after pointing him to and encouraging an investigation of one such person, under control, the captain of the guard requiesses 20% of his guards to help. Among them a spunky Halfling lady named Anka, who is all for equal representation as Belli rallies the “troops”, on horse back.
Together, the riders travel to the lake.
Tumblr media
Where they reunite with the rest of the group.
And it donns on them just how fucked they are in this situation. It doesn’t take a high perception to note just how many people are gathering. Hundreds. And still more in coming.
It feels... It feels so overwhelming.
Lake Stren. A place that at one point represented a moment of respite for The Cultbusters in the days before they even named themselves, was now a place of dread. As countless sacrifices were arriving.
And among them, among the sea of people that surround this lake, we see Kit.
Tumblr media
Kit, in her true appearance walks vacantly towards the lake.
For Jun, a pleasant surprise to see another Changeling so soon after the club in Crystalgate. For Belli, a moment of horror as she realizes what could happen to her.
The worried half-orc carries her over to the rest of the party with fair ease, as she has the strength advantage on the rogue. And attempts to shake her awake at the very least.
Luck’s eyes turn to the lake and he scans. Mournimar sees him first, Dak. Standing in the center of Stren. Unmoving from his position.
Deciding on a course of action, Luck gives instructions to the rest. To do what they can to shake the people around them awake. Guards to assist. Apply pressure, if needed.
Then he heads for Dak.
As Malak tries to help Belli in snapping Kit out of it, Jun tries to see if there’s anyone casting any spells around them. Someone that could be the point of origin for the spell.
But no such luck there.
As the group try to coralle people away, they soon go back to their spots as the four try to get to more people.
In the meantime, Luck approaches Dak and tries to shake him awake, after words don’t seem to get the job done.
As that doesn’t work either, the disguised tiefling does the only thing he has left in the repertoir that isn’t using his weapons.
Tumblr media
He sends Dak to Dick Kick City.
And that-that actually does the job!
As the poor cleric aches in pain from the rude awakening, Luctan explains to him the situation he finds himself in. Then turns to the rest of the party and tells them to go for the crotch kicking as well.
And with Dak proclaiming that he has a plan, moving to get on with said plan, the party goes into action.
For every 10 people they hit, 2 wake up.
And time passes. And more people come. 2 hours.
2 hours later, the sun goes down. Down behind the marshy swamp. Down behind the hills and trees. And silence overcomes the area.
An eerie silence. The kind you only get to hear on a night of extreme violence...
And then?  The silence is eventually interrupted.
Just a few notice at first
Low retching. Like a dry heaving sort of sound from the people that have gathered around the lake. And then a few more join in. It’s not a lot of people at first... Not the majority, anyways. But this is what happens as people begin to hack and spew fluids from their mouths.
Malak, specifically can tell in the most decorated of priest robes that start heaving and fall down to their knees, heaving.  And a few more start doing the same.
Kit begins to shiver. And Belli has enough. She takes Kit and brings her to a tree far from the lake, to which she ties her lady.
It is in this moment that Malak makes a split second decision. Something overcomes him and with no other choice in sight, Malak grabs his axe and swings it at the neck of the closest charmed priest. He decapitates him instantly.
Blood spews int othe water, the head dunking, then bobbing in front of the collapsing corpse.
Blood gushes from the neck and into the lake, while the guards start rushing the retching people and dragging them back.
While she doesn’t stop shivering, Kit doesn’t seem to do what happens next to the remaining charmed folk. To these... followers of Fornas.
As we drag as many as we can. Those that are on their hands and knees barf and hurl blood. And gore. Their insides become their outsides in a vicious bloody waterfall of many angles.
The Cultbusters do as best as they can. Luck runs. He casts Prestidigitation at the blood and gore and does so multiple times, trying to diminish the never ending stream of it upon the water, Belli uses her Mage Hand, dragging people away scooping the gore away.. Mournimar carries as many as he can. Tries to restrain as many as he can. But he isn’t strong enough to do much else.
Jun takes initiative as Malak did and uses a spell. A Burst of Swords surrounds her as she aims at the people around her. Malak cuts people down. Vicious, crazed, pained.
Belli cracks and casts Shatter on a group of folk, hoping she doesn’t full on kill them, but knock them back. Bu the snapping of bones and sinnew says otherwise.
Tumblr media
It’s horrible.
As the moon comes up. All this is just horrible.
Something starts drippling in the middle of the lake. Clay slides in and gathers in the middle, until the water starts to boil and this HUGE! Creature of blood and clay drags itself out of the center of the lake. And the hundreds of people, who were heaving?
They just drop.
This thing.
This massive monster.
Larger than the Stone Giant itself?!
It turns to look at us.
Those, who have been trying to undo what it’s been working on.
And it comes at us.
Roll for Initiative.
Tumblr media
Mournimar is the closest in sight. Said Mournimar backs away as fast he can and takes a hit.. But manages to shrug off whatever was going to happen next.
As consequence for the attack upon him, Mournimar sets off his Hellish Rebuke, setting fire to the freakish monstrocity. And then, with a quick trigger finger, Mournimar fires his Sparrow Arrows, after setting a Hunter’s Mark on this vile creation’s frame.
His arrows strike true.
Using this opportunity of distraction, Jun moves in next. She calls forth inky black tentacles that wrap themselves around the bastard, this shithead, this peace of FUCKING SHIT THAT SUCKED THE LIFE OUT OF THSE PEOPLE!
But it frees itself with some ease.
And turns it’s attention on the changeling and the disguised tiefling beside her.
One smack for Jun. One for Luck. Both manage to shrug off whatever the thing that should not be tried to infect them with.
It reaches into the lake and more blood pulls up form it’s arm and starts swinging it’s arms faster and it’s now hasted! It’s attention still on the one it smacked last. It hits Luck again. He resists again.
But the fury that overcomes the tiefling burns with a powerful fire that scorches the limb that attacked him.
And on Luck’s very turn he points a finger at the clay and lake floor pecks of this dark creation and impales it with a Grade 1 Guiding Bolt.
Belli’s next as she tries to polymorph the ground around it into something unfavorable for it. But that doesn’t seem to work. She attempts to mock it.
“You look like what crawled out of a frat house’s toilet.”
But it also somehow resists that.
With the thing having used up all it’s reaction time, the bard moves back to a safe distance.
Malak comes next. On his turn... Malak, raging, aching, fearing, manic, remembering, rehashing, charging... Malak goes full on Kamehameha pose and shoots a 4th level Guiding Bolt! at the creature, blowing off a huge chunk off. Geting the full attention of the monster.
Tumblr media
Malak doesn’t move. He stands his ground as Mournimar deals signifigant damage of his own with his special arrows, impacting the body of the creature.
The final arrow shot takes a piece from it’s shoulder. It’s just falling apart like playdough at the rightcheous fury and attack of the Cultbusters.
On Jun’s turn...  She runs up and uses a Curse. She attacks with her Gambler’s blade for a good amount of damage. And itt’s attention shifts again. The water around the lake was bubbling and we see a similar pattern, as though it’s boiling in it’s chest.
After some... thought?! It goes for Malak, bludgeoning him with it’s accursed limbs. And it’s infection comes onto Malak, who feels his body slug, some. His vitality draining some from his body.
A second hit comes.
Luck intervenes. The very nature of his lucky existence, his presence causes the large fucker to miss Malak with the second strike! Which causes the freakshow to look back from the human to the tiefling.
And Luck gets smacked again for his attack, blood flowing from his nose as his helmet gets flung off. The infection doesn’t seem to be passed on as Luctan glares and calms his breathing for the moment, his newer wounds healing up, if slightly.
Pulling at his greatsword, Luctan activates Steel Wind Strike.
And misses.
He surges on. And swings again and again, but the damn creature is just too fast. He keeps missing by half an inch!
Belli’s up next.
As Luck moves to get in the way of the monster, in case it attacks Malak again, Belli gets the fighter’s consent and casts Polymorph on him.
Transformation central.
Transmodification central.
Are you ready? Can you feel it?
Luctan becomes a fucking T-Rex!
Tumblr media
As Luctan Roars in defiance of the monster, Belli inspires Malak, who along with Jun repositions, due to the change of shape and size of the tiefling fighter.
The now inspired Malak casts Spiritual Weapon and smashes the clay and blood creation from the side with his Spiritual Axe.
Bonus action.
Lich Slap.
Even further damage. This thing is, by this point, beginning to crumble. Barely keeping itself in one piece.
Mournimar makes his move. Figuratively and literally. Dashing from the right of the party to a mound of rocks on their right, he switches from a Hunter’s Mark to a Zephyr Strike. Hit and a miss. The thing is staggering.
Jun’s turn!
Hex. The creature becomes weaker in it’s physicallity.
Jun, who would then move for cover under the standing frame of Luctan, would grip her blade tight in hand.
Booming Blade + Blood Curse.
Combine that with two attacks of her blade.
And then it happens!
With a sharp eye she evaluates the creature’s very state of being.
Running out of cover, she starts climbing it from an angle and reaches to the shoulders, on top and the open wound up there… the blood from the creature starts to rapidly flow. She stabs it and the spell explodes. And this-This Goddamn thing’s brains, if it had them, explode back behind it, splashing into the water below.
Tumblr media
As the body begins to break apart,  Luck leans forward so she can land on his head. Once Jun comes down from the T-Rex Tiefling’s body, said T-Rex starts to viciously stomp on the remains that turn into clay and gory mush under his saurian feet.
Belli lets him blow off some steam in this form for a while, before ending her concentration on the spell. Once luck drops back, she turns to Kit, who no longer shivered, but seemed to have passed out from all that stress.
While Luck carried on stabbing at the “body”, he’d soon be stopped by Mournimar and Belli, who’d hold him in a hug.
Jun would compliment Malak’s initiative, before said cleric would scan the area.
He’d check on the people. Most of them are dead. Those they dragged back seem to be alive, if badly wounded. Anka and Dak are alright, as are the rest of the guards.
Belli sends at Anka to get people to help with the bodies. There’s a pause and then she hears. “Oh shit, you can’t see me nodding! Yeah, yeah, I’ll get to it.”
The Death Cleric would then head for the nearest body of a cleric. Crouch.
And then cast “Speak To The Dead.”
5 questions time.
As the eyes open, Malak asks... and gets answers:
1. “What is the last thing you remember?” – “The temple. I was cleaning.”
2 .What Temple?” – “The Temple in Kaelum.” That’s in the south east, on the main road from the front lines to Crystalgate.
3. “Did you know that this would happen?” – “What would happen?” He doesn’t know.
4. Do you remember anything troubling happening in or around the temple?”- “No, the gifts were plentiful. Nothing was wrong.”
5.Who were the gifts from?” – “The… Fornas, d’uh? Are you dumb? Do you have a brain?”
Tumblr media
The spell would end and the spirit would take off.
But Malak wasn’t done.
He’d cast the spell at a second body, one with a rough cockney accent.
(Laughter happens, because it sounded like he was interrogating Gromi from the Icespire game, X’D)
1.  “What were the gifts from Fornas you recently Received?” – “All the good turns of fate and luck, my friend. The fortunate landing, the flip of the coin. That is gift.”
2.  “What is the last thing you remember?” – “I went to take a nap.”
3. Anything troubling happen in and around the temple?” – “No, Morrum’s been quiet.”
4. “Have you received any requests from Fornas?” – “Fucking Karaoke, what do you think? We just do what we always do; we clean, we keep the place clean for people coming.”
5.“Does anyone in the cult of Fornas practice Necromancy?”- “I mean, it’s not really encouraged. But people do what they gotta do.”
( Then Perish. )
With that done, the stiffens anew, the soul takes off.
Luctan stands and heads for Dak.
All the while...
The others inspect the mass that was once attacking them in a solid form.
There is a slight pulse coming from inside the clay-gloop. Malak and Belli and Mournimar choose to dig. In the center of the creature there’s ...
A sort of whitely glowing blue bundle. It glimmers in different parts of the moonlight they experience. Thin, irredecent material. Unwrapped.
Inside there are three treasures of note. First. Scale mail armor. Weirdly irridecent light armor. Belli identifies it as “Etherial Armor”. It glows in the colors of the rainbow and gives protection to the more dexterous of folk.
( Ethereal Armor: Light armor made with a thin, iridescent material. It glimmers in all the colours of the rainbow and glows ever so slightly. Strong as steel, it grants the wearer an AC of 14+DEX)
There’s also... This, like. Dried up hand. Ew. With really sharp claws. Definitely not human and doesn’t match any of the bodies in the area.
( Totes not the hand of Vecna.)
There’s a large steel chain attached to it. Attached to 30ft hempen rope. Identify. It’s called “The Creeping Claw.”
( Creeping Claw - A dried goblin’s hand bearing wickedly sharp claws. A large steel chain link penetrates the base of the palm and is attached to a 30 foot long hempen rope. A creature can cover the hand in their own freshly shed blood (1HP damage) which causes the hand to animate. The creature can then mentally control the severed limb and command it to move and interact with objects. The hand walks on the tops of its fingers or climb 5ft up per round through use of claws. The hand can perform simple tasks, can exert ten pounds of force and is as dexterous as the creature controlling it. Requires more blood after 5 minutes.)
Mournimar uncovers a great axe. Gold trim upon silver frame... Identify gives off a name, The Fated Potential. There is writing on it that most of the party can’t uncover, except for Malak.
Jun seems to recall a story, from olden times in this region. About how the weapon came to be from some sort of union between a Celestial and a Fiend. An Angel and a Devil.
Tumblr media
One of Fornas’ angels. It seems to make sense then, as to why Fornas servants were tied to what happened here.
So brutally tied...
She checks with Malak on whether he knows what we do with this item. Malak finds the axe interesting. He likes the axe. And will investigate it further. Should it not be cursed, he will hold onto it.
That and the Creeping Claw. Which he puts in a bag, along with the axe. As for the armor? We’ll see.
While this was happening, Belli would contact Ficus and update him, in the middle of a job, as to what had happened.
As Malak plans to bury the bodies, we come to a close.
