Mimic, working at McDonald's: Sorry sir, we don't serve a McFuck here, so either you throw that one slice of pickle out or we're gonna have a McProblem.

Spoiler Warning for FNAF Ruin
You have been warned.
So...
The Mimic is officially canon canon now. In fact, here he is!
What? Too scary? How about we put him in a lion suit.
Okay, now that we have proof the it’s canon canon, we can talk...
Once I remember what my theory/opinion was on it.

So what do you think of the whole Mimic thing being revealed?
I'm admittedly only a little shocked that Mimic's backstory is just a slightly different retelling of another backstory. I won't tell for spoiler reasons, but the Mimic having parts of a recycled background is just... fitting, I suppose. XD These things happen sometimes.
I'm not sure why people latched to the Mimic like they did. Save that there was a whole theory about it being Burntrap circling around. Personally, I think it's on the weaker side of animatronics. A non-Baby Eleanor without the goofiness.
So, yeah, I'm still kinda blah but I intend to mention it in the Endo history video.

I feel like with Help Wanted we had accepted that Glitchtrap wasn’t Afton, couldn’t be Afton, but somehow now down the line when The Mimic is introduced, it’s dubbed a retcon and they “removed” Afton??? Afton’s been gone.

Just finished reading "The Monty Within", the second story in Tales From the Pizzaplex #7.
I can't help but feel that our protagonist, Kane, was at least somewhat inspired by Kane Carter, the developer of the POPGOES games. This is because Kane Carter has been known to say really problematic things on Twitter without thinking. I'm not convinced Scott Cawthon didn't see that and think, "What if someone's possessing him to make him say that stuff?"
In this story, Kane is being possessed by Montgomery Gator... or rather, The Mimic's version of Monty. When Kane observes Monty in the food-fight game, Monty is not only copying Kane's every move, but the moves of every player around him, mimicking them. Mimic1/Glitchtrap has control of Monty in that game. And, for whatever reason, he managed to download himself into Kane's brain.
And in the end, "Monty" tries to evict Kane from his own brain and body through very extreme means. Ouch...
Mimic Monty is a destructive asshole with not a lot of empathy for others. He's a bully, plain and simple. It really makes me wonder if the real Monty has any sort of empathy for others or not...
You know what, though? If FNAF wasn't predominantly a horror series, this story could have very easily taken a comedic turn. I kinda want to see a parody of this story where, instead of Monty killing Kane, the two form a compromise and learn how co-exist in the same brain and body.
One of my favorite parts about this story is Kane's presentation about the left side of the brain, and how if it's fed bad data - particularly by parents who don't know any better - it can cause that person to make bad choices without realizing it. Which, when you think about it, is exactly what happened to The Mimic. The Mimic used to be an innocent robot endoskeleton with learning AI, but because it kept learning bad things from Edwin Murray, William Afton, and even those workers who programmed it to tear the arms off of endoskeletons, The Mimic became destructive and harmful to everyone around it.
I'm saying The Mimic is the robotic equivalent of a child who had a very poor upbringing, and is now lashing out, not even aware that what he's doing is morally wrong. Or, if he does realize it, he simply doesn't care because hurting people was all he was ever taught.
EDIT: I want to add that there's a part where Monty describes Kane's girlfriend as having a zit on her nose "as big as Chica's cupcake". And I was like... her ACTUAL cupcake, or are you talking about Chica's butt? Does Glamrock Chica even have a booty?!
Another thing I found funny is that Monty at one point comments something along the lines of, "Who needs a girlfriend, anyway?" MONTY. MONTY, YOUR LOVE FOR MEN IS SHOWING. MONTY, YOU'RE BEING VERY GAY!
