season 1 mike mclintock is so not season 2-7 mike mclintock. he's so nasty and crude and mean, but matt walsh plays him with such hapless dad energy that he became a hapless dad. fun to ponder how he would have turned out with a different actor, although that's true for all of them, since the casting is really what informed each character. Jonah was meant to be a short, fat smoker.
