Musician AU

Yu-Gi-Oh! Musician AU! An au based on a piece of Official Art, an RP with @yugi-m-uto and some plotting with @ask-henry-yugi-tudor . Instead of Duel Monsters everyone in this world has a passion for music the more passionate the musician, the more popular they are. One day, a boy named Yugi who dreams of musical stardom, unlocked the secrets of the millennium puzzle, a sacred object that gave him musical talent and contained the soul of Yami, an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh whose music saved the earth from certain doom. Now, under the guise of as the hot new Disick jockey, the DM, Yugi must rise to the top of the charts to save the world. Yugi Mutou: a young and upcoming DJ who performs under the stage name the DM. Whether that stands for Dark Magician or Duel Master he is yet to decide. He has a magical artifact which transforms him into Yami a more skilled DJ who can created VFX with magic. Seto Kaiba: a musical producer and head of Kaiba records who also owns a chain of music clubs and restaurants. He funds Yugi in secret and is aware of his true identity. Although he values Yugi as a client, he constantly forms contracts with other musicians to see if they can top the DM. Joey Wheeler: a lighting technician who works at most of the music clubs in Domino. He usually assists Yugi in his performances and, in order to cover up the concept of magic, sets up the stages so it looks like he did the arrangement himself. He gets along with the musicians who play at he clubs and plays the Bass in his own time. Téa Gardner: a Pop idol who recently started her solo career after her group disbanded. She incorporates American hip hop and ballet into her performances which makes her stand out and became quite popular as a result. She is a supportive friend but also likes being competitive with her contemporaries. especially Yugi and Melody. Miho Nosaka/Melody Norris: a sugoi idol and a totally kawaii princess. She was from the same idol group as Téa and even though their group fell apart, they are still best friends. Unlike Téa her idol image is more cutesy and feminine, which all the boys go crazy for. Tristan Taylor: a sound technician and Melody's biggest fan. He study's music but isn't very good at it save for mild percussion. Mai valentine: lead singer of an 80's glam rock inspired cyber punk band called "the Harpies." When she's confident and is focussed on staying on top of the charts and closes herself off to others. However an unlikely friendship with Joey changes this. Duke Devlin: a solo rock artist and owner of indie music company, Dungeon Dice Records (DDR for short, his music features in a lot of DDR Games as a result). He gets jealous of Yugi's fame but learns to respect him. Ryou Bakura: an unusual music artist who is able to change genres on a dime. He has the voice of an angel normally. But when the time comes, it's like he becomes a completely different person who raps like a beast. Like Yugi, he has a magical item that allows him to create VFX and change costumes. Marik Ishtar: a western pop artist who's traveled to Japan to boost his fame to world wide status. He teams up with Ryou to create the album, Rare Hunters. Odion: Marik's manager who follows him around and takes care of him when Ishizu isn't around. Doesn't really have much interest in performing music himself but will do so when Marik asks nicely. Ishizu Ishtar: former singer who still maintains celebrity status. She creates the Millennium Awards, a Music award that is only awarded to the best of the best music of the year. Maxamillion Pegasus: a retired musician who runs instrumental illusions. An instrument manufacturing company. Is responsible for the first mystical battle of the bands.

10. What is yourfavourite arc (in any serie) and why?

Raimon against Aliea and Chrono Stone. The first one because it introduces many of my fave characters and Aphrodi get a chance to redeem for what he has done. Not to mention Fubuki´s emotional struggle and his evolution. The matches are very amusing.

Chrono Stone also introduces great characters. There are very funny moments, but the drama is also really intense. The emotions of the characters are also explored, like Shindou´s infatuation and Kirino´s jealousy. Mixi-max and keshin armed are very interesting mechanics.
