The consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, a 50-year-project of the BJP and long awaited by many, will take place today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fly to Ayodhya to participate in the ceremony, which will be telecast live.
Film stars and Bollywood celebrities, invited for the grand consecration ceremony at the newly-constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, have started arriving in the temple town. Actors Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Randeep Hooda and Madhuri Dixit were seen at the Mumbai and Chennai airport ahead of their flights to Ayodhya.
Dressed in a white kurta-pajama, megastar Amitabh Bachchan was spotted in a car outside the Mumbai airport on Monday morning before he left for Ayodhya.
Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar waved at photographers as he left Mumbai for Ayodhya. The cricket legend was among the several VIPs invited for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple.
Telugu actors Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi were seen boarding a private plane in Hyderabad for Ayodhya, dressed in traditional attire. Surrounded by security personnel, the two actors waved at fans as they walked on the tarmac to board the plane along with their families.
South superstars Rajinikanth and Dhanush flew out to Ayodhya, a day before the grand opening of the Ram Temple. The actors were seen swarmed by fans as they reached Chennai airport for their flight.
Newlyweds Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram greeted media outside the airport before flying to Ayodhya. The actor joined in on "Jai Shri Ram" chants with the paparazzi. On being asked about the inauguration, Mr Hooda said, "It's a big day for India."
"Kashmir Files" actor Anupam Kher also flew to Ayodhya on Sunday. The actor posted a video of himself inside the flight with a saffron-coloured flag in his hand. "I have reached Ayodhya with all the Ram devotees. There was an atmosphere of great devotion in the plane. We are blessed. Our country is blessed! Jai Shri Ram!," the actor said in a post on Instagram.
Bollywood couples Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif and actor Madhuri Dixit with husband Shriram Nene were also spotted outside the Mumbai airport in traditional wear before they flew to Ayodhya. The couples, wearing sarees and kurta pajamas, greeted the paparazzi with folded hands.
"Queen" Actor Kangana Ranaut reached Ayodhya on Sunday and took part in a cleanliness drive at an Ayodhya temple. Dressed in a red and gold silk saree, the actor was seen sweeping the floors at the Hanuman Garhi Temple. "Ayodhya has been decorated like a bride. Bhajans and yagya are being organised at several places. It feels like we have reached 'Dev Lok'…We cannot say anything about those who do not want to come…It feels really good to be in Ayodhya right now," she told news agency ANI.

Next week, the two biggest superstars of South India are going to vie at the box office with their upcoming films. Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer and Megastar Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar are releasing on two consecutive days - August 10th and 11th. Both these films are billed as mass entertainers.

Amitabh Bachchan visits Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to seek blessings, videos go viral
The 81-year-old actor will also be inaugurating a new showroom for jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers in Ayodhya.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday was spotted in Ayodhya as he visited the recently built Ram temple. This comes weeks after the actor was in attendance at the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As reported by several publications, the 81-year-old actor will also be inaugurating a new showroom for jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers in Ayodhya. Amitabh Bachchan is the brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday at 5 pm. With this launch, the company will make a foray into Ayodhya and mark the momentous milestone of its 250th showroom globally. Currently, the jewellery brand marks its presence across 23 states in India as well as 4 countries in West Asia.
In January 2024, following his attendance at the Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha along with Abhishek Bachchan, the actor took to his official blog to write, “A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit .. back from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya .. the glory, the celebration and the belief of faith .. immersed in the reckoning of the TEMPLE at Shri Ram's birth.. Not much can be said beyond this .. for faith does not possess description.”
Recent reports also claim that Amitabh Bachchan has bought a plot in Ayodhya. Mumbai-based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) is working on that seven-star project.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next star in Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. He will also make his Tamil film debut with Vettaiyan headlined by Rajinikanth.

After a Delhi High Court decision, the filmmakers of Rajinikanth's movie Jailer will change a scene in which a contract killer is wearing an RCB jersey.
After receiving a directive to change the scene from the Delhi High Court, the filmmakers have found a solution.
The movie Jailer has been performing well in theaters. The movie has been a hit in the South thanks to the return of megastar Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar as director. On the other hand, starting on September 1, the movie prints will be changed to eliminate one scene. It has to do with a scene where a contract killer insults and misogynizes a woman while sporting a Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey. The creators finally found a solution when the Delhi High Court ordered them to change the scene.
The court ruled that the defendants and everyone operating for or on their behalf, including their distribution network, must abide by the aforementioned terms and restrictions, according to a story in Bar and Bench. The RCB team jersey in the theatrical version of the movie Jailer will be adjusted or changed starting on September 1st, 2023. The Defendants must make sure that no theaters display the RCB jersey in any way starting on September 1, 2023. Prior to its distribution, the edited version of the movie must be broadcast or transmitted on television, satellite, or any other OTT platform.
Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited, the company that controls RCB, filed a lawsuit, and Prathiba M. Singh was the defendant. Srishti Gupta, Harsh Buch, and Deepak Biswas were the representatives for Sun Pictures. The court was informed by the attorneys for both locations that the dispute had been settled and that they had decided to change the scene.
