I am not very good at sewing but I wanted to make a tablecloth and the fabric has arrived, the thread, and all other equipment only for the weather forecast to be two weeks of rain... and I was going to dry the fabric outdoors before starting

#Why must it be washed #It is so lovely I just want to turn it into something usable #I have the time #I have the interest #Why must the weather let me down #I swear to god this is the sunniest place I have ever lived but the ONE time I need it to stay dry it's like... nah #Like theoretically I could tumble dry it but I don't want to risk any extra shrinkage- and also tumblr dry one item #that I could get the wind to dry for free #And I could try drying it indoors but it's three or four yards long- I don't think I have the space #I also just genuinely enjoy seeing things on a washing line and this was such a big pretty piece of cloth #It would have been cool #But no #Rain is forecast for at least a fortnight #And I bet it won't ACTUALLY rain I just won't take the risk because hte forecast says it MIGHT
