You know, there are some times I wish NMH1 had just been the only game to come out. This is not to say I don't like the others of course.

WIP Kill the Past timeline
A (n unfinished!!) timeline to Suda51′s fictional universe, as seen in games like The Silver Case and killer7. The link: right here. But I feel like I need to clear up some potential questions and concerns.
Q: How do I read this?
A: So, as you may know, killer7 takes place in an alternate history - even more alternate than the normal conspiracy-laden world of “Kill the Past”. For this reason I have put the dates in the MIDDLE of the table, with two separate timelines: the main world on the left and the world of killer7 on the right. There is some overlap between the two...
Q: So, No More Heroes...
A: Yeah, I’m very sorry to those who would rather I not, but I’ve included the No More Heroes games on this. This might be controversial because some people do not agree with the idea that No More Heroes might be in the same world as the Kill the Past games. I know that connecting NMH to other games often involves conspiracy theories relating to characters who may be little more than references. Although I enjoy those theories at times, my inclusion of NMH is based on the existence of ISZK, a tangible concrete connection. I make mention of other connections but do not elaborate on them further than what the game itself tells me, because I want this timeline to be seen as a resource that can be referred to by fans who want to check information, not as a fan project that embellishes the truth.
Q: What is finished?
A: The killer7 side can be considered a functional, ready-to-present project. There is likely additional info and polish that I need to add but it does not have any major omissions.
Q: What needs to be done?
A: The most major chunk of missing data here is the actual in-game events of The Silver Case. There is a huge gap in 1999 to represent this. The Silver Case is very precise about when its events happen, as it tells you the date (and even the time!) of almost every scene in the game. Consequentially, filling in the Silver Case section even to start with requires me to replay (or at least rewatch) the entire game.
Other things that are missing are anything from untranslated material; i.e. the killer7 short story “killer is dead” (not to be confused with the game of the same title), Twilight Syndrome/Moonlight Syndrome, etc.
Also, most of my sources thus far are documents such as “Hand in killer7″, “The Lospass”, the dates on killer7′s mission select, the Silver Case website, KamuiNet, etc. So it’s possible that there are dates mentioned in passing that I may have passed over for now.
Q: I’ve found a mistake.
A: I’m interested to hear about it, but do keep in mind that these works tend to contradict themselves, so it could be that we have just found different sources. For example, Jaco Checkbox says that the Smith Syndicate incident happened “15 years ago”, while Mills (some years later) says to Garcian, “30 years ago, you and Harman...” presumably talking about the same incident. Adjusting for the difference between the two statements, Mills is still about 10 years off from Checkbox. I went with Checkbox’s statement because it’s more precise and in a written report, while Mills’ was less precise and in a conversation with a friend.
Q: There’s a difference between the ‘killer7′ incident and the ‘Smith Syndicate’ incident? Since when?
A: Going by Jaco’s Report, it seems to be that way, yes. The reason this throws many people off is because in the game, the two events are heavily conflated. It’s only in “Hand in killer7″ that they are separated.
Q: I thought “Hand in killer7″ was about a beta version of the game/an alternate version of the story.
A: Although Hand in killer7 contains some information about earlier versions of the game, those sections are distinct from the plot/information sections of the book; and in fact a lot of cut plot didn’t make it into the game or the book. Possibly due to confusion about this, it’s frequently cited that Hand in killer7 contradicts the game because it’s about an earlier version. Personally speaking I don’t think it contradicts the game very much. It does, however, contradict itself quite frequently.
Q: I have a question about what you are talking about in a certain part of the timeline.
A: Please ask me it! I would be very happy to explain my findings and provide you with the source of a given date or event.

Oooh, whenever you start playing The Silver Case and 25th Ward can you like, live post it? I'm currently playing thru TSC and this game made me break down and cry THREE (3) TIMES, IM STILL NOT DONE!! There's a lot in it, but I love it so much. (I don't believe its a game ment for Streaming, ironically, but it's so good when you get to go your own pace and feel the emotions each case gives you!)
Im hoping for a F.S.R remake bc the one at my store cost almost $200 (why????) Im currently saving up for Fatal Frame 4 and flat out refused to see anything on it(its the only FF that i haven't been able to play, im so excited!!!)
I have Killer is Dead and Killer7, but the camera movements make me a bit sick, it's fine if i take my time tho. Everything else im trying to catch up to! (I watched S.O.T.D get played by the official Grasshopper Blog handlers, i think? They were p cool and handled the bosses WAY better than I can)
Ohh yes, I can do that! It's been ages since I've live-blogged a game LOL. I'm so excited to cry several times throughout the games, Moonlight Syndrome made me weepy a few times. Also yea, TSC/25th Ward are def more rewarding games to play by yourself at your own pace, so you get the chance to digest the story better! Oh yea, that checks out for F.S.R. LOL. I was debating on emulating my experience when I got to that game, but I might hold off due to the remake rumors (please let it get remade that would be so nice). Also YES!! FF4 is my second favorite fatal frame (Fatal Frame 3 being number 1). I emulated the game on Dolphin years ago when it was just fanmade translations. Hopefully, you enjoy it when you get the chance to play it! I get turned around so much playing Killer7 it's not even funny LOL. The only time camera movements ever made me super ill playing a game was during the anti-grav parts of Dead Space 1. Killer is Dead camera I just sorta got used to. At least it does give you the chance to take the games slow :' )! I've not played SOTD yet, but I do want to play it in the future, same with Lollipop Chainsaw (probably when that remaster comes out)!

Are the only suda games you've played was NMH? If not, what others have you played?
Nope! With how much I ramble about them though you would think so tho LOL. The other GHM games I've played besides NMH series are:
Killer is Dead
Killer7
Let it Die
Fatal Frame 4 (although that's more adjacent to GHM, but I still count it)
Lollipop Chainsaw
I'm about to get started playing through The Silver Case, F.S.R., and The 25th Ward soon as well!
and I've also watched playthroughs of games I either never got to own or just...too lazy to emulate, those games being:
Twilight Syndrome
Moonlight Syndrome (will rewatch when new translations come out)
Michigan: Report from Hell
Shadows of the Damned
Frog minutes (lol)
BLOOD+ One Night Kiss
I do want to continue to play or watch through more games done by GHM, like the Samurai Champloo game and the like! Thank you for your question (and sorry I took five years to reply :' ) )
