MerGrumps AU || Leigh The Crystail

Leigh has always been a old soul. Even in his youth, he grew tired of life and often asked himself if there was more to it than just killing prey and staying out of human sight. It was monotonous and depressing the more he tried to conform to what his fellow kind wanted.

But he couldn't. He ended up leaving the safety and comfort of home in search of something to complete that missing puzzle piece in his life. But what form would that come in? A new place to live? A romantic partner? A friend, maybe? He didn't know, but one thing he did know, was that he couldn't take another day of cycling survial.

A bit world weary and lost, Leigh isn't always the best company for a lighthearted conversation or even a laugh, but he's certainly willing to be a friendly ear or shoulder to cry on...Lord knows he's cried plenty himself.

He may be tired, but he hasn't given up on looking for that something or someone to clear the storm in his heart.

Being a more illusive type of breed, Leigh is definitely unique. He is a crystail merperson, which received their names for their dark, glittering scales and power to communicate through any crystals they find.

Crystails are also sirens, but pure ones. Yes, they use their beautiful voices to lure people to their death, but only for food and never sport. They take no joy in killing, but do what they have to in order to survive; a virtue always held in high reverance by the Crystails.
