LOVE AREA PART 2 (2022, THAILAND)

A BL I've never seen. Reviews are mixed however I firmly believe a person need to make their own decisions while respecting someone else's. So I finally watched part one. Nothing spectacular but not too bad.

I will say I hate the way Non was treated but at the same time, he wasn't forthright with his feelings but yet he was clearly interested in his across the hall neighbor.

However, that neighbor Kaitoon (CHAVITPONG PUSOMJITSAKUL aka PAK) instead fell for the unfortunate Valen (GUN TIEOSUWAN) who began the series trying to rob the hardworking yet naive Kaitoon. As they began working with one another at Valen's sister's restaurant (LOVE AREA) the two grew closer with Valen becoming more and more enamored with Kaitoon. Meanwhile Dr. Non was also feeling something for Kaitoon, feelings he didn't articulate to the somewhat dense Kaitoon.

Kaitoon's closeness to Valen often left him letting Non down whom was always understanding.

Valen confessed his feelings and Kaitoon felt the same so they became (secret) boyfriends.

One evening Kaitoon left his keys in his apartment, locked out he began the evening bunking with Non but later bunking with his boyfriend. His jealous boyfriend. But Valen and Kaitoon grew closer.

One night while staying together after a shower Valen began drying Kaitoon's hair. And it took an intimate turn...they were sure to consummate their relationship until a friend of Valen came knocking at the door.

*Spoilers for Love Area Part 2*

I love how Jeff's character, Sean, just shows up to make everyone's problems worse.

Sean has apparently been hooking up with Pete even though Pete is dating King. Valen finds out by catching them in the act, records them, and sends the evidence to King. Valen and King then ambush Pete and Sean after their little tryst, King is crying. Kaitoon is also there, then Win and Atom show up. The gang's all here to bear witness to King sobbing his eyes out at Pete. Meanwhile, Sean's hanging out in the background all casual like:

Sean does not give a fuck! Lmao.

In the end, he's responsible for not just one but two break ups, since Valen is convinced that because Sean and Kaitoon are friends Kaitoon obviously knew what Sean was doing this whole time.

Sean showed up to make episode six jucier than this whole series combined. He's so messy, I love him. Thank you Jeff Satur for feeding my insatiable hunger for horrible characters doing horrible things. What a legend!

6. What show had the best opening song?

I already answered this once, so I'll say a different show. Old Fashion Cupcake had a great opening song.

10. What country’s QL surprised you the most?

Honestly? Korea surprised me this year. They had a lot more shows than I was expecting and they were all longer than I was expecting.

17. Are there any shows you avoided this year? Will you ever watch it if you avoided it?

Oh yeah I avoided a few shows. I avoided Eternal Yesterday. I understand one of the characters is a zombie and it also has a sad ending. I don't fuck with zombies. They freak me out so bad that I cannot watch things with zombies.

18. What show do you wish had been longer? What show do you wish had been shorter?

I wish About Youth had been longer in order to tie up all of the loose ends it had. I'm not sure if there are any shows that I wish were shorter. Wait that's a lie. Love Area should have stopped after Part 1. Love Area Part 2 was so bad I can't even call it a train wreck. It was like watching rain water turn into a puddle and then slowly dry up.

22. What show has the best soundtrack?

Old Fashion Cupcake and I stand by that. Just in terms of what makes a good soundtrack.

Every time I have a day at the neuro clinic I have sooo many stories for u guys like I really had to go out of my way today not to spam the dash w how this one visit went. So much tea

#This patient was diagnosed w FTD since 2013 but it makes no sense bc most cases see a life expectancy of 2 years since the diagnosis #And the neurologist I shadow was telling me how the patient and his wife have a “troubled marriage” & she can’t tell how much of it is her #Ranting and how much of it is actually pathological. Potentially a misdiagnosis which is insane #A stark difference from the first case I saw where the FTD patient was a heart surgeon diagnosed in October #And he had a rapid decline since then :( #Also my neurologist is so smart like she could tell from very simple cognitive tests if the dementia is FTD or is from other areas #Of the brain #I watched in awe today while she looked over a couple of memorization exercises and just casually listed diff parts of the brain #Im actually so in love w her rn #She’s also rly funny #This is my goal in life I want to be her one day

#plants #its my moms birthday today so this is her present #these are mostly native to our area #my moms really into gardening #and one year she spent several months learning about bees to prepare to get a bee hive #and then we found out that our borough didnt allow them😓 #but now she loves bees a lot #and likes to plant plants that are really good for them and other pollinators #and we have like a yard with 2 different parts #so the part closest to the house is like a normal yard #and she has garden best there for vegetables n stuff #and then the back part has like a little stream by it #and she just lets all the plants grow #except for some paths and a space for our fireplace #but she did rip up some red vines with thorns on them #turns out they were and invasive type of rose #and then a bunch of milkweed grew there!! #which if you dont know is really good for butterflies! #but my mom is like a really amazing person #i love her so much and shes so cool #and shes also like really involved with our local politics #and one time she went to the school board to keep a book from being banned #but shes just like #the best mom i could ever ask for #my art #native plants

Love Area Part 2 spoilers

Sean became my favorite character in part 2. He brought so much spice to this dull ass series. The fact that Jeff played him is just a bonus.

And I can't believe he got punched a total of four times! 🤣 Once in episode 6, then three consecutive times in the finale! My only complaint is that he wasn't bloodied up enough. And I'm sorry, Jeff. You have a very pretty face but this has awoken something in me and I need to see you get punched in KinnPorsche. You don't deserve it, but Kim does!

This series overall was so bland but Sean/Jeff scenes were very fun!
