Hi there, professor! Could we have some backstory on your team, please? Who did you get first?
Of course! Here's a picture of my closest team-- the descriptions will get a bit long, so I'll put it under a read more for yall. :)
Tumblr media
Oh, and to answer your last question, the Pidove was my first-- his name is Scruff, and he's also our park's mascot!
As you can kind of see in this picture, Scruff is missing one of his toes. He was actually adopted by my parents when I was a teenager, after being attacked by a local Purrloin (reminder: never let your Pokemon roam unattended). Being involved with his rehabilitation process is how I found this field in the first place, so I have him to thank for a lot in my life! Even once he had healed up enough to go out on his own again, Scruff never left; eventually, when it was time for me to leave home and go to the academy, he stowed away with me and hasn't left my side since!
Scruff has really grown into his role as our lead outreach Pokemon. When he isn't on my shoulder, he's helping other staff with educational talks, hanging out in our visitor center begging for treats, or keeping an eye on the other Pokemon in the park! He's really a pampered little guy, and loves all the attention he gets.
Coronet, the Electivire, was one of the first residents of Entralink park; she was first attracted by the construction, and has stuck around since then. When she arrived, she was such an anxious little thing-- she'd constantly overproduce electricity and was doing some damage to herself that way. Another professor was kind enough to send us a small batch of miniature Joltik to nestle in her fur and absorb any excess electricity; this doesn't hurt her at all, they're too small, but they help her manage her anxiety. The Joltik helped her calm down a lot, but she was still pretty restless, so we found her a job: she produces all of the power for the park! Compared to her maximum output, even with her Joltik friends, the task is relatively trivial for her, but she enjoys the responsibility. We named her after the mountain in Sinnoh-- I've never been, but I've heard it has some really interesting properties!
Our Pansage, Charles was a rescue. You wouldn't know it now, but her original trainer was horribly neglectful and her head bush was almost entirely wilted when we found her. I was not (and am still not, really) an expert in grass-types, but with a lot of research and help from other professors she really bounced back! During her recovery process she really took a shine to the park-- the wide variety of Pokemon we stable are beyond what she'd ever seen, and she immediately fit in perfectly making friends with just about everyone. She also leaves us trimmings from her bush from time to time to help in the medical facilities!
The Audino was the first Pokemon we brought to the park for a purpose. We knew we'd need a Pokemon to help with the on-site medical facility, and there are serveral breeders in the region that breed Audino for just this purpose! After hatching a brood, the breeder and I worked very closely with the hatchlings to see which would be best suited for our facilities. He taught me a lot that really got me started in training work Pokemon, and I still use a lot of his methods to this day! Once we had our best candidate, we put out a poll to our visitors to name him... and he ended up with the name Burger, haha. That's what we get for putting a custom entry field in! Burger's been a beloved member of our crew ever since, and has even helped us train other medical Pokemon!
King, the Politoed, was part of my first work Pokemon breeding program. I was breeding rescue Poliwrath-- though the more intensive training would take place at a more specialized facility, creating suitable breeding lines and determining aptitude fell to my facilities. Though the program did produce many Poliwrath that went on to become lifeguards, for example, just as many Pokemon ended up following other paths! Such is the way of my work, I suppose. One of those "flunked" students was King, who, even as a Poliwag, was always taking the lead in group exercises, ending up at the center of attention, and trying to help anyone who was falling behind. When the time came to evolve into a Poliwrath he refused; after presenting him with a King's Rock, it was clear what he really wanted to do! All of the other Pokemon from his program ended up in caring homes, but he ended up staying with us, helping handle the stabled and rescued Pokemon at the park!
Finally, most recently, there's our newest team member. With the park expanding, and my scrawny butt not being much help with any of the construction or maintenence, let alone the heavier cleaning tasks, we decided to take in a work-Scolipede trained by a dear friend of mine. We actually haven't settled on a name for her yet, nothing has quite fit so far! I'm a little wary of opening a poll to the public after the Burger incident, but maybe some of you visitors have suggestions? Feel free to let me know any names you think of for her! She's a real powermudsdale, and though she looks stern she's warmed up to the park's resident very quickly, and we hope she decides to stick around for quite some time! :)
All six of these guys stay with me in my personal residence on-site-- we have other Pokemon that come and go, but these are, for now, our permanent residents.

Updates!
1. Blog’s still kicking, but the semester is finally starting to pick up; spaces between updates is going to be the norm for a while. I’m not going to promise a schedule I’m not positive I can commit to, because TGoGT is a thing for Fun and I want it to stay that way, but I am considering trying to do weekly chapters (though if it doesn’t quite work that way, your patience is greatly appreciated).
2. Project is definitely still kicking, because I currently have 27 half-baked ideas for chapters in my writing folder.
27.
So that should last a bit. It also includes Galar Unsolved, which I have Not forgotten about, but since I’m still finding my footing writing for an ensemble I’ve been a bit hesitant to actually do the dialogue to the shenanigans. As it stands, there should be about 13 chapters total (including the one that’s currently up on Ao3), so be looking forward to 12 chapters of good old-fashioned nonsense, coming at you. Eh, sooner rather than later.
3. I kind of put this up on the desktop version of the blog without really saying anything about it, but there is a TGoGT playlist. Feel free to make suggestions (though I also make no promises about putting everything on because I’ve been trying to keep each song to fit a chapter. There are several on there right now for chapters I am still writing.)
4. Informal poll: is it bothersome that I occasionally write new chapters out of chronological order and put them further back on the list? (Because that determines whether I try to write the next batch in chronological order or in order of ‘what strikes first’)
Anyway thank you for coming to my TED Talk have a lovely day yall

HI BELATED HAPPY NEW YEAR
First things first, did you have a good year? I would say most of it was good. I did most of the stuff I said I was going to do so I’m giving myself pats on the back for that. Things just kinda took a turn for the worse by the end of the year what with an ambiguous end to my most recent semester (I don’t have two of my seven final grades yet because my prof likes seeing her students suffer, I guess) and losing Nacho, so it all balances out.
How old did you turn this year? I turned 21. Which means legality in the US, but I’ve been legal in the Philippines for three years now so it doesn’t warrant much of a celebration lol.
Do you feel your age? I guess. There are days where it’s very tempting to feel inadequate because there are many 21-year-olds in my social circle who have their own business, are grabbing opportunities here and there (they’re in a successful band, are junior radio jocks, hired as emcees, serve as UAAP courtside reporters, to name a few), already make their own money, etc., but I just have to remind myself that everybody is moving at their own pace and that in my case, at least I’m not behind and that I’m moving remarkably fairly for my age.
Did your appearance change in anyway? Nah I BARELY did anything to my look this year. I did not go for a haircut at all in 2019 and now my hair is crazy long. I’m keeping it untrimmed until my grad shoot, so the long hair will stay with me for a while.
Post your favorite selfie. I would but Tumblr doesn’t really work the same way as Twitter where I’d feel more free to share photos of myself haha.
If you traveled, where did you go? My family went to Pangasinan, Bicol, Tagaytay, and Cavite this year. I also took my friends on a day trip to Nasugbu shortly before school started in August as sort of a last hurrah for our summer vacation.
Which fashion trends did you love? Which fashion trends did you hate? I initially liked chunky sneakers until everyone bought their own pair solely so that they’d feel like they’re one of the cool kids – it quickly became uncool after that. I was a fan of mom jeans (still am), high-waisted jeans, culottes, and tops in muted colors and had cute little bows in the chest area. I hated bike shorts and scrunchies, and slowly got tired of off-shoulder tops by the end of the year. I never understood tracksuits and never bought one of my own, and was also never a fan of hype fashion like DBTK shirts.
What was your favorite article of clothing this year? Post a pic if possible? I looooooooved the floral romper and the two-piece ensemble I was both able to snag at Feliz.
What song sums up this year for you? Buwan by juan karlos, the two reasons being that the song exploded in 2019 and because it was Nacho’s favorite and he made a million jokes about it.
What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then? This question is a little vague so I’ll answer it in two ways. In my case, I definitely played Beyonce’s Homecoming album TOO MUCH last year. But radio-wise, it looked like Ariana Grande and Camila Cabello had stellar years.
What was your favorite movie of the year? I had several favorite movies, but here they are put in order: Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Midsommar, and Toy Story 4.
Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year? Florence fucking Pugh. Also I just realized how attractive Timothee Chalamet is, although I’ve been aware of him way before 2019 and haven’t watched any of his material.
Favorite new TV show? I watched the first few episodes of Stranger Things but I found it too slow-paced so I let it go easily. Other than that I didn’t really get into any 2019 shows because I’m not a big TV person, but I did recently get into Descendants of the Sun so that’s new for me! Queer Eye will also always have a place in my heart.
Which new ship/fandom has taken over a lot of your time, attention, and tears? I’m a little too old for that now but I did heavily get into the Try Guys. I don’t ship any of them together but I just genuinely love each of them, them as a group, and all the content they put out.
What food did you try for the first time? Ooh there’s a lot. Foie gras, aligue (crab fat) ramen, Bloody Mary, pistachios, a vanilla frappe from Starbucks, Tim Hortons food, ji pai (Taiwanese fried chicken) and pad thai, to name a few. I’m so so so pumped to try out even more new food in 2020.
Did you make any big permanent changes this year? I stopped talking to my brother.
What was one nice thing you did for someone else? Being one of the only two people in my org who can drive, I’ve always offered lifts to my friends. I don’t say anything even if where I’m taking them is entirely off my normal route, which frustrates Gabie, but honestly I just like helping my friends and making their commute easier for them. I also checked up on Nacho a day before he passed. I regret being too civil, but at least I checked up on him. Not a lot of people did that in his last few days.
What was one nice thing you did for yourself? Ok so one thing my org does is hold journalism workshops to schools across the country. The org is a bit small and not all the members are reliable, so what usually happens is that the same group of people attend the workshops and teach and facilitate – me being a part of that same group of people. Given that we have class during weekdays and these workshops happen on weekends, the schedule can be very demanding, especially if these schools request a shit-ton of topics for us to teach them. I sort of looked out for myself more this year by declining to go to a couple of the workshops, so that I can experience actually having a full weekend to myself.
Did you develop a new obsession? I discovered a YouTuber who is insanely good at Mario Kart 8 and I watched a ton of his playthroughs in 2019. Oh, and MUKBANG ASMRs. It’s an insanely unpopular opinion but I love chewing noises, dude.
Did you vote? It was the senatorial elections this year and yes, I did vote. None of my votes got in, of course, because unfortunately the rest of the Filipino electorate don’t know any better. I was part of a real-time fact-checking group that day for extra class credit, and I will never forget the collective groan and moan that came out of that room when the first batch of results came out on the news and we saw the same corrupt, power-hungry, money-hungry, anti-poor politicians top the polls.
Did you move? No. I’ve lived in the same house since 2008.
Did you get a job? I did not, BUT I did get an internship which I was pretty stoked about.
Did you get a pet? I did not. I don’t want anyone else but my dog, who I’ve had also since 2008.
Do you regret not doing anything? Sure. I have never taken Gab’s mom out on a girls’ night kind of date, and I always told myself that I was going to finally do that in 2019 – which I didn’t. I’m so going to make sure we do it this year. I’m also sad that I didn’t get to see Angela more times last year. And that I didn’t do more for Nacho, so now I have to live with the loss of him forever.
Do you regret doing something? Nothing is coming to mind so I guess nothing major. <-- Pretty much, thankfully.
Have you done anything that scared you? Tried vaping, did shisha for the first time, walk alone in Katipunan, be stuck at a restaurant table with Gab’s (very stoic) dad while she went to the washroom, to name a few lol. On a deeper note, I was a bad girlfriend several times over 2019 and it rocked the relationship quite a bit.
Did anyone/thing make you so mad it stayed with you for days? Yeah absolutely. I hated the people who went too far when it came to Nach, especially his ‘friends’ who didn’t hesitate to turn his back on him. And when things finally crashed and burned, I was too fucking pissed at everybody to even say something about it.
Did you lose anyone close to you? Yes.
Did you fall in love? For most of 2019 as with 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, yes.
Did you fall out of love? Nope.
Did you start a new relationship? I did not.
Did you go through a break up? I almost had to, but we sat each other down several times in the year to fix what had to be fixed, and it’s been very smooth sailing since.
Did you have to cut ties to someone? They weren’t people I was close to in any extent, but I’ve blocked several people from a certain elite school because I hate that school.
Who was important to you this year but wasn’t important last year? No one strongly comes to mind since I basically just retained my circle, but I did meet Gab’s closest cousin this year for the first time, and anyone who’s family to her is automatically important to me, so I’d go with him.
Who wasn’t as important to you this year as they were last year? This is going to sound completely awful, but I guess my college blockmates. I was always sort of the ~black sheep in our small batch of 7 while all of them are incredibly close with one another. 2019 was the year that I stopped trying to hang out with them, because I realized that no matter how hard I try, we’re really just on different wavelengths and I can’t keep faking my expressions and mannerisms just so I feel accepted or so that I can survive a day with them.
If you could have a do over on one thing you did, would you take it? Yeah, I definitely wish I cut some of my classes much less.
What was the best moment of the year for you? What was the worst? There were a lot of high moments from 2019 if we’re being honest. I liked taking Gab and her dad out for a ONE Championship pay-per-view back in January, I liked being invited to her dad’s birthday dinner, my road trip to Nasugbu, every day that my dad was here, going to the beach, partying for Halloween with friends, seeing old friends again in our org Christmas party, that one night Gab and I went to BGC just to bar-hop, our fancypants date that was also in BGC, and I’m sure there’s a bunch more that I’ve forgotten to mention. The absolute worst moment came at the very minute I pieced it together and found out *surprise surprise* Nacho was gone forever. I don’t think I was able to speak for two hours. When I did, I ended up crying the rest of the night until I passed out.
Did anything happen that you were sure would change you as a person but it really didn’t? Not-so-serious answer, but I thought I was gonna live my entire life without needing injections to my mouth, but lo and behold I went to the dentist in December and got THREE. I thought I was going to pass out, I thought it was going to hurt, I thought I was going to thrash around my seat in terror... I ended up not even feeling anything. I dunno if it’s because I got a lower dose of whatever, or if my dentist is just better than others, but the whole experience went much better than I expected. This may sound shallow but I have the biggest needle-and-any-sharp-object phobia, so this is a lot coming from me hahaha.
Did anything happen to you that you were sure wouldn’t change you as a person but it did? Watching Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Gab just needed a companion to the cinema that night; I had no idea what the movie was going to be about and even read the entire plot while trailers were showing – in the end, it’s been me who’s been talking about the movie way way more than she.
What are you most proud of accomplishing? Not killing myself. The 2010s was just me internally betting on when I’d finally pull the plug, but I had what it took to get me to 2020, apparently.
What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years prior? That everything you do and say on the internet is permanent, and you’ll forever have to live with the the consequences that come from them.
Did your opinion of anyone change for the better? Andrew. Before 2019, I found him so horrifyingly clingy, so chatty, and he was always trying to be close to everyone (he still does). It drove the introvert side of my ambivert-ness absolutely NUTS. At one point I realized he wasn’t going to change, so I just gave him a chance and turns out, he’s a great friend and an even better co-worker hahaha.
Did your opinion of anyone change for worse? Everybody who claimed to be Nach’s friend but didn’t find it hard to say vile stuff about him.
If you make resolutions, did you complete them this year? I told myself I was going to make a one-photo-a-day private Instagram dump for 2019, but I stopped as early as January 27 LMAOOOOO. I’m doing it again this year and I’m much more determined to keep it going.
If you make resolutions, what will your resolutions be for the coming year? Keep my 2020 Instagram active, be able to travel... and be happier, basically.
If you could go on an adventure during the remaining days of the year, where would you go and what would you do?  Who would you go this? A little too late my dude. I’m typing this out in 2020.
What do you wish for others for the coming year? What do you wish for yourself? I just hope everybody on here feels a little bit more warmth and happiness, dude. We all deserve it.

Bakugou and I welcome you, to the 800+ followers event! It is finally upon us!!
NOW! What does this event have in store for all you amazing people who like and reblog the content I upload every day? That is what the poll was for. I decided I would give you all a choice to vote on what you’d like me to do, in order for us all to have a good time and celebrate all of you!
I had the poll open for a few days, and received 66 votes! While that might not seem like a lot compared to the follower count, it is certainly enough for me. ;v; And I thank each and every one of you who voted, and helped to decide!
So, without further ado, this is what we’ll be doing for this round of followers celebration:
Tumblr media
22 ART REQUESTS CENTERED AROUND OUR HOMEBOY, BAKUGOU KATSUKI!!
I will be writing numbers in my bio to help you all keep track of how many request spots are left. Why will I only do 22? Because only 22 people voted for it, of course! Which means that if you voted for this, and you’re reading this post, I hope you get a spot in the batch! As for the rest of you, feel free to request as well!
Before, however, PLEASE READ THESE RULES.
Yes, there are going to be rules to this. There are sadly some things i need to address, both concerning what I will and will not draw.
So first of all, I need to get this out of the way: This blog was created about 3 or so weeks ago, during a time I was physically sick. And it’s really terrible to say the least, but I’m currently rolling into my fourth week of sickness. It’s a combination of some nasty fever, coughing, and headaches. This means I will be slow as fuck, and I highly apologize in advance. Yes I am taking medicine, but has it worked? Eh... Not really? I am doing my best to recover though. I will do my best and pull through with each request!
The next thing I need to tell you, is that I am not very confident in my digital art skills, so what you’re seeing right now is me being brave enough to post the art above. I usually do things traditionally, with markers. And the requests will be done like so! whether they are just sketches, lined work, or fully colored, will be up to me. I’m sorry, but it’s just to make things easier for me. I hope you understand!
NOW, let’s get into what you can and cannot request.
WHAT I WILL DRAW:
- the fantasy AU
- a standalone Bakugou (meaning nothing but him)
- Bakugou with another character (platonic or romantically. pls specify)
- outlaws AU/ the wild west AU (RDR 2 ppl where ya at?)
- Bakugou as an animal, or a furry/anthro
- Kiribaku
- Bakugou WITH an animal
- Bakugou with a pro hero (that isn’t mentioned in my NOPE list below)
WHAT I WILL NOT DRAW:
- something that isn’t Bakugou centric. (aka a request that doesn’t contain Bakugou in it)
- Bakugou as any type of nekomeme (like a human with cat ears and tail. I don’t do that stuff.)
- Any type of NSFW. this blog will be minor friendly!
- Kacchako and Katsudeku. (they make me highly uncomfortable. sorry.)
- Bakugou with an oc
- fic fanart requests
- Anything involving Best Jeanist, Endeavor, Mineta, And anyone in the dekusquad. (This is mostly personal preference but I think most of you will understand.)
- anything involving alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc. While i am allowed to drink and smoke in my country, I am not comfortable with any of it. So please leave it out of your requests!
- Anything above 3 characters. you can request Bakugou, Bakugou and 1 other character, or Bakugou and 2 other characters. That’s it.
ABOUT SHIPS:
I am only going to be accepting Kiribaku, if you wish to request a romantic ship. I have other Bakugou ships that I don’t mind, but I wouldn’t draw something unless I was 100% committed to it. And Kiribaku makes me happy. So I’m willing to draw that!
As for Kacchako and Katsudeku... I’m sorry. If you ship this, go ahead, do your thing. Each to their own, right? I only have 3 notps in the BNHA fandom, and this is just the two of them. (The last one is kirimina, but that’s not relevant) and so please please please do NOT put them in my inbox. If you want to know why i really don’t like these ships, you can always ask, and I’ll give you the most respectful answer I can. But just don’t request it. Thank you.
DETALED REQUESTS:
Please don’t be afraid to request something like “Bakugou, in an emo outfit, drinking bubble tea, while looking at something that makes him angry” instead of “draw Bakugou in his hero uniform.” Please be specific! ALSO PLEASE BE POLITE!! That is the least you could do!
Uh... If there’s anything you want to request but isn’t mentioned here, ask! I’ll be tagging it under “follower celebration q&a” so block that tag if you so desire. Anything else, please ask too!
Thank you for your patience, And let’s get drawing!!

5 Pro Secrets To Getting Accepted At A Photo Stock Agency
Have you ever thought about selling your images through a photo stock agency? Here are 5 pro secrets to getting accepted.
Trying to sell your images can be a very frustrating exercise. Unless you plan to be a full-time photographer, it is unlikely that you will have the time to market yourself and your images. If you don't market yourself then buyers are not going to find your images.
There is, however, a way to make money without having to go full time. I am talking of course about being a stock photographer. Stock photography is where you hand over a selection of your images to a photo stock agency and they will sell them for you.
Sounds great right? Well yes and no. With the right attitude, photos and time, you can make some money from stock agencies. However, don't think that uploading 100 of your favourite images will allow you to buy that brand new BMW you have been lusting over, it won't.
However, with time and effort, you can reap some reasonable rewards, enough to call it a second income. So how do you go about getting images accepted at a photo stock agency?
1. Understand Licensing And Copyright
There are several reasons as to why images get rejected by a photo stock agency. Among the most common is not understanding how to licence your images. The majority of stock agencies today deal in Royalty Free. That means the image can be bought by the client and used for whatever purpose they intend and as many times as they wish.
Within Royalty Free, some agencies divide that license into Editorial and Commercial. A Commercial license can be used to sell a product. An Editorial license can only be used to illustrate, for news, documentary or other non-commercial entities.
If you plan to sell your images under a Commercial license, then any recognisable people must have a model release. Furthermore, any company logos, certain famous landmarks or artworks may also require releases. You might think that your shot of a Rolls Royce in front of the Monte Carlo casino would make a great commercial shot, but unless you have a release from Rolls Royce and the casino, it will almost certainly be rejected by the agency. In this case, you will need to resubmit as an Editorial image.
When submitting, think about each image. Consider the content and ask yourself does any element in this need a release. If it does, submit it as an Editorial image.

2. Being Technically Perfect
Stock agencies deal in bulk, pile em high sell em cheap. For this reason, there is actually little interaction between the image buyer and the photo stock agency itself, everything is pretty much automated. For that reason, the vast majority of stock agencies require your images to be technically perfect.
By that, I mean sharp focus, no blown highlights, no excess of noise and no dust or blemishes. If any of your images exhibit one or more of these problems you will get rejected.
Before you submit any batch of images, inspect each one at 100% for sharpness and blemishes and check the histogram for any exposure issues.

3. Sellable Not Always Stunning
You might have a selection of incredible landscapes and never sell any of them. This is because they are not what the buyers are looking for.
Many images these days are sold for blogs and news websites so following news trends is a good way to determine what might sell. For example, plastic pollution is a major issue of the day. You might find that rather than sell a stunning landscape shot, you might sell a similar landscape scared by plastic pollution.
A photo stock agency is unlikely to reject images that are not in demand, but you need to consider is it worth your time and effort to upload them if they are never going to make any significant money.

4. Shoot A Diverse Collection
Another common reason that images get rejected by agencies, is that they lack any diversity. By this, I mean you upload 30-40 images of the same location or subject with slightly varying angles and exposure. Be ruthless when you select your images. If you have a lot of images at one location, whittle them down to the top 3 or 4 best and submit those.
Also, try to avoid the obvious cliches such as cats and sunsets. Agencies these days are likely to reject anything that they already have huge numbers of.

5. Get The Metadata Correct.
Metadata, that is captioning and keywording is a vital part of selling stock. Without it, your images will not get seen and sold. It can also be a reason that agencies reject your images. Some agencies, when submitting commercial images, require you to write the caption or description in a very specific format, usually denoting the date and location of the shot. Others require both a caption (short) and description (long) if you do not add both you may get rejected.
Lastly, make sure you do not keyword spam. This can be where you cut and paste the same keywords from image to images despite their relevance. Alternatively, using the same keywording multiple times in the same image in an attempt to boost its rating – this is a no-no, as many agencies have algorithms to detect this when you submit, so this can also be a source of rejection.

Final Thoughts On Getting Accepted By A Photo Stock Agency
Selling stock requires time and effort. It's not a simple case of selecting a few images and uploading them to a website. You need to have an efficient workflow, varied collection of technically good images and well thought out metadata.
With these, and over time, you will find your images selling and your revenue growing. The last thing to remember is that stock agencies like you to be active. You are more likely to sell images consistently if you submit regularly.

I thought I had sent an update out, but apparently it was never emailed out to you guys. I'm sorry for that. It was, however, posted on my Tumblr and the Website Blog. Here we go:
COINS
I finally received more envelopes and labels today so more shipping this week. I'm supposed to get the January shipment Heda's Helm of Awe coins tomorrow so those should go out soon too. When the coins ship, you will get an email notification. If you're located outside of the US, you'll also get a tracking number.
I've sold out of The Flame/Chip coin, so I've created a pre-order for a second batch. You can pre-order them here (LINK). I need at least 50 orders by January 19, 2017 to actually place a second order; otherwise, it won't be done. (I'm also close to running out of the Lexa Defense Squad Coin and the Heda's Helm, so let me know if I need to order more.) If the pre-order goal is reached, then an order will be placed and I should have the coins in hand mid-February. FYI, as of right now, there's 23 pre-orders received.
For those who ordered coins before November 18, 2016, thank you for your patience. Please look in your package for details regarding thanking you for your patience (it's a free gift coupon code; terms apply).
I'm working on a CNC machined Flame/Chip coin that's made completely out of steel. It'll be more accurate (and more expensive). It'll probably be limited in number. Additionally, I'm working on Fleimkepa cases as well. I'm also trying to make a Heda's Helm Coin from either Titanium, MokuTi or Damascus metal (yes, this will be extremely expensive).
If you have a chance, please fill out this poll (LINK) whether I should keep the design of the Flame/Chip Coin, changed it slightly, or change it drastically.
HATS
Sigh. Okay, so remember how we struggled to reach the goal I had set in the beginning? And that to get it conditionally backed, I'd have to raise prices? Well, because our order was the bare minimum (the company likes each design to be 144 pieces), we were put on the lower priority. I was told November-December. Obviously, it's now January and no hats. I've asked why; and it's because they ran the less complicated and high order values first. Additionally, the hats are made in China. So they have the usual holidays as well as Chinese New Year; therefore production slow down, and sometimes halt,  during that time (some factories close down fully). They've told me that they expect to get it to me mid-March (after Clexacon). That was unacceptable to me as you guys have ordered this months ago, I placed this order months ago, and I was counting on the extras I ordered for Clexacon. So what did I do? I broke our contract, got the money back, and found a different company. I've been dealing with them last week. They still have Chinese New Year celebrations, but they have promised me end of February for the hats or our money back. (And yes, to grease the wheels, so to say, I paid more out of my pocket to get this expedited.) So, I'm really sorry for this delay; if you would like to cancel your order and get a refund, please let me know. It's understandable. But if you're patient and stay with me, you will get rewarded for your patience. Also, because of constant delays, I am considering changing the model on how I do the hats now. I'm thinking of designing them, getting them made with my own money and when I have them in hand, I will sell them. But because I won't take pre-orders, it'll essentially be a limited edition. It'll be a first come, first served situation. Probably 24 hats and that's it. There's also a good probability that the price will be higher (because as I stated the more orders, the less expensive the price). TL:DR re HATS
Hats are now expected end of February (around Clexacon). I'm sorry for the delays. If you'd like to cancel and get a refund, please let me know.
For those who are still with me and who placed an order for hats before November 29, 2016, thank you again for your patience. I'll be placing extra item(s) in your order when they ship. (Hint: Pins.)
If you have an urgent need to get the hats as soon as possible, please contact me. I can either get you prototypes or release Round 1 snapback stock from my private collection (which were reserved for when I attend cons).
PLUSHIES
@immochiball and I are still working on them. Your cards will not be charged yet.
SAN DIEGO PICK-UP
If you want to pick up orders in San Diego, when I announce that I will start shipping out items, email me your orders and say you want to pick up in San Diego. We shall make arrangements and then when we do meet up, I will refund your shipping payment. As of right now, only the coins and Round 1 hats are available for shipping/pick-up.
CONS
Not attending Unity Days. 80% attending Survival Con. Clexacon and Wondercon applications have been submitted.
PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Trying to see if I can hold a photography contest; basically I need photos of the products you've gotten from me (you being in the photo is optional, but would be awesome). Your photos could be featured on the website.
I’M BACK
I believe I’ve answered all emails and messages so if I missed one, please let know.
FUTURE PRODUCTS
Been working hard on future products. Pins. Patches. Hats/Beanies. Shirts. Jackets/Hoodies. Vinyl figures. Art books by certain artists. ;) We’ll see. Been also trying to expand to different fandoms.

The N.B.A. Elite Are Now From Everywhere
Want more basketball in your inbox? Sign up for Marc Stein’s weekly N.B.A. newsletter here.
It was at the 2018 All-Star Game in Los Angeles that I asked Steve Nash, one of the foremost imports in N.B.A. history, if the league would ever be ready — really ready — for a Rest of the World vs. United States format for its annual midseason showcase.
“We’re getting there,” Nash said then.
Nash suggested that perhaps 2022 would be “the time to try it,” as a 30th anniversary tribute to the original Dream Team that wowed the world at the Barcelona Olympics.
That forecast is looking smarter every day.
Understandably somewhat lost last week amid the very sad news of the former N.B.A. commissioner David Stern’s death was the bulletin from the league office detailing the first batch of returns from fan balloting for next month’s All-Star Game in Chicago.
The leading vote-getter in the Eastern Conference: Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo from Greece.
The leading vote-getter in the West: Dallas’s Luka Doncic of Slovenia.
Fan voting will always generate outrage for one reason or another. Boston’s little-used Tacko Fall, who placed sixth among East frontcourt candidates, and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Alex Caruso, who landed at No. 8 among West guards, were the primary causes for complaints from the opening round of polling. Yet you scarcely heard a quibble about the fact that LeBron James trailed both Giannis and Luka even though he has joined Anthony Davis in powering the Lakers to a 29-7 start.
Antetokounmpo is the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player Award winner and is playing at an even higher level this season. Doncic has yet to appear in an N.B.A. playoff game, but he has established himself as a consensus top-10 player by averaging a ridiculous 29.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 8.9 assists in his sophomore season — leading the upstart Mavericks to a surprising 23-13 record in the process.
Unlike Nash’s era, when the N.B.A. certainly featured numerous successful international players but only a few who were considered truly elite, there are several at that level besides Giannis and Luka.
The Cameroonian duo of Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid and Toronto’s Pascal Siakam have their own gaudy stat lines that make them All-Star locks.
Denver’s Nikola Jokic (Serbia), despite some slippage in his numbers from last season, remains the unquestioned fulcrum for the team with the second-best record in the West.
Utah’s Rudy Gobert (France) is not assured of making his All-Star breakthrough next month because a defense-first reputation like his historically doesn’t help much in All-Star campaigning. But Gobert has made such an all-around impact for the Jazz that you can find his name on Basketball Reference’s M.V.P. tracker at a solid No. 10.
Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns, who was born in New Jersey but represents the Dominican Republic internationally, played in the past two All-Star Games and would be a cinch for a third appearance if not for a recent knee injury — and the Timberwolves’ slump to a 14-21 record from a 10-8 start.
Throw in top All-Star contenders such as Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons (Australia) and Indiana’s Domantas Sabonis (Lithuania) — as well as All-Stars of recent vintage such as Orlando’s Nikola Vucevic (Montenegro), Philadelphia’s Al Horford (Dominican Republic), Toronto’s Marc Gasol (Spain), Miami’s Goran Dragic (Slovenia) and Dallas’s Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia) — and the point becomes clear.
There may not quite be 12 internationals playing at an indisputable All-Star level as we speak, but it’s increasingly fair to ask, as Nash predicted, if we’re all that far away.
Porzingis, after all, is working his way back to an All-Star standard after a lengthy injury layoff. Two of Nash’s young fellow Canadians — Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver’s Jamal Murray — have also flashed All-Star potential. Recent top-five lottery picks include Phoenix’s Deandre Ayton (Bahamas) and the Knicks’ R.J. Barrett (Canada).
The way things are going, as we dribble into a new decade, it looks as though mathematical fairness is the only deterrent to N.B.A. Commissioner Adam Silver’s trying out a United States/World format.
There were 108 foreign-born players on opening-night rosters this season, meaning there were more than 300 American-born players. It simply wouldn’t be equitable for two groups of such disparate size to battle for 12 All-Star spots each.
But I also don’t believe that the league is married to its two-year-old system in which the two leading vote-getters, as captains, pick their respective squads without regard to conference. For all the anticipation and chatter that the made-for-television selection show generates, momentum from the first game played using this format in L.A. in 2018, after years of waning interest, did not carry over to the 2019 edition in Charlotte.
Don’t forget that Silver, when he initially proposed the introduction of an in-season tournament starting with the 2020-21 season, was looking at the final four of that competition as a potential replacement for the All-Star Game entirely. The league ultimately backed off that proposal when teams and the players’ union voiced resistance to an in-season tournament that would fall any later on the league’s calendar than December, but Silver’s original thinking suggests that the N.B.A. remains concerned about how flat All-Star Games tend to feel.
At the M.I.T. Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston in March, remember, Silver himself said the 2019 All-Star Game “didn’t work” and admitted that the most recent changes were akin to putting “an earring on a pig.”
Maybe the starry imports who have succeeded Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker and all the international stars from the last decade will never get their chance to engage the Americans in an All-Star duel. Maybe restricting that format to the Rising Stars Game featuring first- and second-year players, as the N.B.A. has done for the past five seasons, is the right call.
Yet the mere fact that the debate only gets stronger may be as fitting a tribute as we can muster for Stern — since taking the N.B.A. global before any other North American sport, and to a much greater degree, is such a huge slice of his legacy.
The Scoop @TheSteinLine
This newsletter is OUR newsletter. So please weigh in with what you’d like to see here. To get your hoops-loving friends and family involved, please forward this email to them so they can jump in the conversation. If you’re not a subscriber, you can sign up here.
You ask; I answer. Every week in this space, I’ll field three questions posed via email at [email protected]. (Please include your first and last name, as well as the city you’re writing in from, and make sure “Corner Three” is in the subject line.)
Q: Where would you rank David Stern as a commissioner compared to those in other sports like Pete Rozelle in the N.F.L., Bowie Kuhn or Fay Vincent in baseball, etc.? — Bob Purcell (San Diego)
Stein: I covered a smattering of all the major North American men’s team sports in my youth, but I have been covering the N.B.A. almost exclusively since February 1994. So it’s not really fair for me to answer this one.
I would naturally put Stern ahead of all his competitors because I know so much more about his work. Most of my older peers always say that mythical top spot has to go to either Stern or Rozelle. But as our own Harvey Araton sagely noted when I asked him, Stern’s edge may well be that on his watch the N.B.A. achieved relevance on social, cultural and international fronts that the N.F.L. — for all its advantages in TV prominence and in-stadium attendance — can’t match.
What I can say with greater confidence is that I will always wish Stern, upon ceding his office to Adam Silver in February 2014, would have spent a few years trying to bring order to a sport he loved almost as much as I do: tennis.
Tennis has always suffered greatly from the lack of a commissioner who could exert authority over the sport’s many (too many, really) competing factions. But Stern’s focus, for pretty much his entire adult life, was the N.B.A. and growing/enhancing/protecting his league. So I am forced to concede that it probably would have been hard for him to muster anywhere near the same passion for another sport in a working capacity.
Q: I have to agree with the recent comment here that the Raptors are mostly ignored by the American sports media. Maybe you are an exception, but why aren’t more people writing about the Chris Boucher story alone? — Kent Goodwin (Stowe, Vt.)
Stein: I think we’ve reached the point in this discussion where nothing I say is going to persuade the skeptics. But I think I will be vindicated when Coach of the Year Award voting results are released in June.
The Raptors awoke on Tuesday on a 54-win pace. If they maintain that level for the rest of the regular season, given the ridiculous string of injuries they’ve faced along the way, Nick Nurse will have a real shot at winning the C.O.Y. prize — and thus prove how closely the Raptors are being monitored south of the border in the post-Kawhi Leonard era.
It was suggested to me last week by a trusted insider that the Raptors just might surprise us again before the Feb. 6 trade deadline and emerge as buyers to fortify themselves for another playoff run. The widespread assumption coming into the season held that Toronto would trade the veteran likes of Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka to prepare for a reset in the summer of 2021 built around the free-agency pursuit of Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. (I predicted as much myself.)
The safe bet remains that Masai Ujiri, Toronto’s president of basketball operations, will avoid any deals that affect the Raptors’ cap space in 2021. But the Raptors will be a huge source of curiosity over the next month — thanks in part to the unexpected contributions from the likes of Boucher, Terence Davis, Matt Thomas, Oshae Brissett and O.G. Anunoby — whether or not they’re generating reams of coverage.
Q: How convenient for you. Now you get to expand your hate for Houston beyond basketball. — @venramamurthy from Twitter
Stein: This tweet came in response to my social media cheering for the Buffalo Bills as a proud former Western New Yorker — which lasted until the Bills unraveled in Saturday’s A.F.C. wild-card loss to the Houston Texans to extend their drought without a playoff win to 1995.
The supposition from Venkat is that rooting against the Texans was a natural for me because I “hate” his Rockets.
We’re still not past this stuff in 2020, friends?
My only issues with Houston, here in the real world, are the traffic, how hard it is to get to Cafe Adel for some wonderful Bosnian food in that traffic when staying downtown and the oppressive weather from June to September (my quarrel with every city in Texas — including the one I live in).
Happy New Year!
Numbers Game
$2,615,000
In 20 years as the team owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban has accrued more than $2.6 million in publicly announced fines from the N.B.A., according to this ledger maintained by the longtime Mavericks historian Patricia Bender. Not all fines issued by the league office are made public.
6
The N.B.A.’s two Florida teams sport quite the contrast with their records in overtime games so far this season: Miami is 6-0, and Orlando is 0-0.
16-19
The Pacers finished three games under .500 last season after losing Victor Oladipo to a ruptured quadriceps muscle in his right leg and were swept by Boston in a first-round playoff series. After acquiring Malcolm Brogdon in an off-season sign-and-trade with Milwaukee, Indiana is on a 51-win pace this season without Oladipo but still doesn’t know when he will return.
3-2
The potential downside of the Los Angeles Clippers’ well-chronicled “load management” strategy with Kawhi Leonard is that they may have to settle for a playoff seed that forces them to play the Lakers sooner than the conference finals. Thanks to an underwhelming 3-2 mark since their impressive Christmas Day defeat of the Lakers, Kawhi and Co. awoke on Tuesday as the West’s No. 4 team — which has the Clippers on course for a second-round playoff encounter with their Staples Center cotenants.
20
The Lakers’ 20 blocked shots in a home win on Sunday over Detroit were a rarity. According to Basketball Reference, no N.B.A. team had recorded at least 20 blocked shots in a game since it happened twice in 2001: Toronto with 23 against Atlanta in March 2001 and the Raptors with 20 against Golden State in November 2001.

No More Tongue Lashing as INEC Declare set for Presidential Election
Last Saturday was a tough day for Nigerians after INEC postponed the Presidential election to 23rd February, 2019. The development made people to tongue lash the INEC commission for sudden postponement. The National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday began the public confidence rebuilding process, telling Nigerians that it is now ready to hold the poll rescheduled for Saturday nationwide. Its Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, in his first progress report told the media in Abuja that the hitches that caused the poll shift have been cleared and that the fresh time-lines for the conduct of the election are now being met. Specifically, he said the commission has achieved 98 per cent reconfiguration of its smart card readers, saying it is a significant milestone towards the conduct of the election and assured that the remaining two per cent would be completed today. Responding to media reports that a couple of its senior officials are being quizzed by the Department of State Security (DSS), raising fears that the commission’s work might be hampered, Yakubu denied the reports and said no director or national commissioner of the commission has been arrested by the DSS. However, Akelicious’s checks revealed that six senior staff members of the commission, including Professor Okechukwu Ibeano, Mr. Festus Okoye, Mr. Osaze Uzi and others, were invited by DSS for a chat. But Yakubu stated: “No commissioner of the commission was picked up by any security agency; no house of any commissioner of INEC was raided; no any commissioner of INEC has been picked up by security agencies. The particular commissioner you are referring to that was mentioned in the social media is as we speak, in his office in the commission. Similarly, no six directors were picked up by any security agencies.” The chairman revealed that by 4p.m. on Monday, all issues relating to the delivery of the materials were identified and virtually addressed. According to him, “Last Saturday, the commission, after extensive review of our preparedness for the 2019 general election, decided that it was necessary to reschedule the elections by one week. ‘’As I explained to stakeholders, we were constrained to shift the polls due to severe challenges and lapses we experienced with arrival and distribution of sensitive materials, as well as the fires that gutted some of our offices in quick succession, destroying several election materials.” He said INEC had identified six areas covering three broad areas like deployment of materials, movement of personnel and reconfiguration of smart card readers. Yakubu said: “Let me, therefore, present to you the level of implementation so far achieved as follows; by 4p.m. yesterday, all issues relating to the delivery of the materials were identified and virtually addressed. Ballot papers, result sheets and a host of non-sensitive materials are now in location across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). “Our state offices commenced the process of inviting stakeholders to the Central Bank of Nigeria to examine the retrieved materials deployed last week and to witness the batching of materials according to local government areas. This is on-going at the moment and is expected to be completed today, Tuesday 19, February 2019. “The movement of materials to LGAs for batching according to wards and polling units shall take place on Wednesday, 20 and Thursday, 21 February 2019. “All Registration Area Centres (RACs) are to be activated by 9a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019. Personnel and materials should be at the RACs by mid-day on Friday, February 22, 2019. “Refresher training for ad hoc personnel should take place at the RACs on Friday, February 22, 2019. Personnel and materials must arrive at the Polling Units latest 7a.m. on Saturday 23, February 2019. Opening of polls nationwide will take place at 8a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019.” Explaining further on the rationale for a week long postponement of the polls, the INEC Chairman said; “You would recall that in my address to stakeholders, I mentioned that we intended to reschedule the elections for just 24 hours to enable us to deliver the final batch of sensitive materials for the elections. ‘’However, our ICT team notified us that it would require more time to reconfigure the Smart Card Readers in time for the elections. Let me explain why. The Smart Card Readers (SCRs) are configured to only open for use at 8a.m. on Election Day, and to automatically shut down by 10p.m. ‘’This is designed to forestall any illegal use of the SCRs before the appointed time of elections. There are roughly 180,000 SCRs to be deployed for the elections and the ICT team said that they would require 5-6 days to complete the configuration. ‘’I am glad to say that as at today, about 98 per cent of the SCRs have been reconfigured and we are confident that by tomorrow all would be ready, which is a day earlier than scheduled. ” The INEC chairman also stated that campaigns for the presidential and National Assembly elections shall now end at midnight on Thursday, February 21, 2019, while campaigns for the governorship, state assembly and FCT Area Council elections shall end at midnight Thursday, March 7, 2019. He explained that preparations for governorship, state assembly and FCT Area Council elections are well underway, saying already, the sensitive materials for the elections have started arriving at various locations for onward movement to various CBN branches across the country. Yakubu further stated: “Indeed, some of these materials arriving through our airports have been erroneously construed by some people as materials for the elections holding this weekend. I want to reassure you all that all materials for the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly elections next Saturday are already in the states ready for deployment to LGAs, Ward and Polling Units. ‘’We have learnt a lesson from the preparations for the elections holding this weekend. For this reason, we shall start the movement of materials for the next elections early to ensure that nothing disrupts our process. “While we fully understand the disappointment and even anger that followed that rescheduling of the elections on February 16, I wish to appeal to stakeholders to be more dispassionate and circumspect in their comments in order not to overheat the polity. ‘’The commission is focusing on the elections to be held on February 23 and 9th March 2019 to ensure that they are free, fair and credible. We urge all Nigerians to participate fully in the elections, notwithstanding the disappointment caused by the rescheduling of dates.” He said the commission would continue to speak to Nigerians daily to let them know the extent of readiness of the commission. Last Saturday, the Commission, after extensive review of our preparednes y to reschedule the elections by one week.
