In the village of Laalgaon, two Dalit girls are seen trapped in a school bus by some men. Ayaan Ranjan, a St. Stephen's College, Delhi graduate and an Indian Police Service officer, is assigned to Laalgaon as the Additional Superintendent of Police and is warmly welcomed by officers Brahmadatt Singh and Kisan Jatav. Ayan encounters various forms of caste discrimination as soon as he arrives in the village, and periodically shares what he observes to his wife, Aditi, over the phone. Local villagers come to Ayaan's reception asking the officers to find the missing girls, but are turned down. Ayan reunites with his college friend Satyendra Rai, who is also a state government employee, who behaves suspiciously throughout the night.

The next morning, the girls are found hanging from a tree, while a third girl, Pooja, is reported missing. Ayan orders Brahmadatt to file an FIR and to obtain the postmortem report for the deceased girls. The girls' autopsy yields evidence that they were gang raped, but Brahmadatt prevents the release of this information and instead pushes a narrative suggesting that the girls, who were cousins, were lesbians and thus hanged by their fathers in an honor killing. Meanwhile, Jatav and a junior officer are threatened and their vehicle set on fire by followers of Nishad, the leader of a group of activists within the village who seek speedy justice for the crime. Ayan questions Jatav about this the next day and becomes determined to solve the case.

Gaura, Pooja's sister, informs Ayan that the girls used to work for a local builder named Anshu Naharia, who slapped Pooja after the girls asked for a raise in their salary of 3 rupees. Ayan decides to call Anshu for inquiry, even though Brahmadatt tries to persuade him not to do so, as Anshu is the son of local Minister Ramlal Naharia. During his interrogation, Anshu says that he slapped the girls to remind their entire caste of their place in society. Ayan, disgusted by the moral corruption of the village and its police force, posts on the police bulletin board a copy of Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination based on race, sex, religion, caste, or birthplace.

Ayan meets with Dr. Malti Ram, the assistant coroner who performed the autopsy, and finds out that contrary to her official report, the girls were raped and then murdered. He asks her to go to Lucknow to examine the DNA samples and to contact only him, realizing that local law enforcement is conspiring with Ramlal Naharia to cover up the case. Meanwhile, Mahantji, a Brahmin politician vying for a local election, has formed an alliance with the head of the Laalgaon Dalit community in a show of inter-caste unity, but Nishad sees the display as a disingenuous political ploy and plans to protest it. Ayan tries to persuade Nishad to call off the protest, so he has men to help search for Pooja; Nishad refuses, but allows some of his men to aid Ayan's search.

متعلق اپنے حوصلے کا مظاہرہ کیا ہے۔ کاشتکاری سے متعلق تکنیک میں جدت طرازی کی وجہ سے ریکارڈ تعداد میں سرکاری خرید کو اُجاگر کرتے ہوئے وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ پنجاب او رہریانہ کے کسانو ںکو پہلی مرتبہ براہِ را��ت منتقلی کے فائدے ملنے شروع ہوگئے ہیں۔ جناب مودی نے کہا کہ پی ایم کسان اسکیم، ملک میں چھوٹے کسانوں کیلئے بہت مفید ثابت ہوئی ہے۔ کووِ ڈ اُنیس عالمی وباء کے بارے میں بات کرتے ہوئے وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ دیہی علاقوں سے بڑی تعداد میں کیسوں کی خبریں مل رہی ہیں۔ انھوں نے گائووںکی پنچایتوں پر زور دیا کہ وہ اپنے اپنے علاقوںمیں مناسب بیداری اور صفائی ستھرائی کو یقینی بنائیں۔ اس موقع پر وزیرِ اعظم نریندر مودی نے ریاستی حکومتوں سے کہا کہ وہ دوائوں اور طبّی سازو سامان کی کالا بازاری سے نمٹنے کی غرض سے سخت قوانین بنائیں۔ وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ مسلح افواج بھی اس مشکل دور میں کووِڈ سے متعلق دیکھ بھال کو یقینی بنانے او رآکسیجن کی سپلائی کو یقینی بنانے کی غرض سے پوری طاقت کے ساتھ کام کررہی ہیں۔ وزیرِ اعظم نے ملک میں کسانو ںکے ذریعے نامیاتی کاشت کاری سے متعلق نئی نئی تکنیک اختیار کرنے پر بھی خوشی کا اظہار کیا۔ اس موقع پر وزیرِ اعظم نے اسکیم سے مستفید ہونے والے ملک کے مختلف حصوں کے کسانوں کے ساتھ بات چیت بھی کی۔ ***** ***** ***** مرکزی حکومت آئندہ 15 یوم میں کووِڈ ویکسین کے ایک کروڑ 90 لاکھ ڈوز ریاستوں اور مرکز کے زیرِ انتظام علاقوں کو مفت روانہ کرے گی۔ اس میں ایک کروڑ 62 لاکھ 50 ہزار کووی شیلڈ اور 29 لاکھ 49 ہزار کوویکسین کے ڈوز شامل ہیں۔ یہ تمام ویکسین 45 سال سے زیادہ عمر کے شہریوں، صحت ملازمین اور صف ِ اوّل کے ملازمین کو دئیے جائیں گے۔ اس سے قبل مرکز ی حکومت نے ایک کروڑ 70 لاکھ کووِڈ ویکسین ریاستوں اور مرکز کے زیرِ انتظام علاقوں کو روانہ کیے تھے۔ ***** ***** ***** روسی طرز کی ’’اسپوتنک وی‘‘کورونا وائرس وباء کے تدارکی ویکسین کے ایک ڈوز کی قیمت 995 روپئے 40 پیسے طئے کی گئی ہے۔ بھارت میں منظور شدہ یہ تیسری ویکسین ہے۔ حیدرآباد میں ڈاکٹر ریڈیز ادویات کی کمپنی یہ ویکسین بھارت میں تیار کرے گی۔ کل حیدر آباد میں اس ویکسین کا پہلا ڈوز دیا گیا۔ آئندہ ہفتے سے یہ ویکسین تمام ملک میں فراہم ہوگی۔ ***** ***** ***** شکر صنعت کار آکسیجن کی تیاری کے شعبے میں آگے آئیں۔ ایسی اپیل وزیرِ اعلیٰ اُدّھو ٹھاکرے نے کی ہے۔ عثمان آباد ضلع کے کلم تعلقے کے چورا کھڑی میں دھارا شیو شکر کارخانے کے آکسیجن پیداوار پروجیکٹ کا کل وزیرِ اعلیٰ کے ہاتھوں ویڈیو کانفرنسنگ کے ذریعے سے افتتاح عمل میں آیا۔ اس موقع پر وہ مخاطب تھے۔ مرکزی وزیر نتن گڈکری اس پروگرام میں شامل ہوئے۔ 50 سے زیادہ پلنگوں کے اسپتالوں میں آکسیجن پیداوار پروجیکٹ ضروری کیے جائیں‘ ہر ضلع میں درکار طبّی آکسیجن اُسی ضلع میں تیار کی جائے‘ اس پر زور دیا جائے وغیرہ ہدایتیں گڈکری نے اس موقع پر دی۔ نائب وزیرِ اعلیٰ اجیت پوار نے دھارا شیو کارخانے میں قائم کیا گیا یہ پروجیکٹ بحران کے دور میں اہمیت کا حامل ہے۔ یہ بات کہتے ہوئے انھوں نے دیگر کارخانوں کو اسی طرح کے پروجیکٹس قائم کرنے کی کوشش کی اپیل کی۔ ***** ***** ***** عیدالفطر کا تہوار کل ہجوم نہ کرتے ہوئے سادگی سے منایا گیا۔ عیدگاہوں اور مساجد میں کثیر تعداد میں جمع نہ ہونے کی اپیل انتظامیہ نے کی تھی۔ اس کے تحت کئی شہریوں نے گھروں میں رہ کر نماز ادا کی اور عیدالفطر منائی۔ چند مقامات پر علامتی طور پر صرف 5  افراد نے مسجد میں نمازِ عیدالفطر ادا کی اور ایک دوسرے کو عیدالفطر کی مبارکباد پیش کی۔ ***** ***** ***** ریاست میں کل 39 ہزار 923 کووِڈ مریضوں کا اندراج ہوا۔ اس کی وجہ سے تمام ریاست میں جملہ کورونا وائرس متاثرین کی تعداد 53 لاکھ 9 ہزار 215 ہوگئی ہے۔ کل 695 مریض دورانِ علاج چل بسے۔ ریاست میں اس وباء سے مرنے والوں کی جملہ تعداد 79 ہزار 552 ہوگئی ہے۔ شرحِ اموات ایک اعشاریہ پانچ فیصد ہوگیا ہے۔ کل 53 ہزار 249 مریض اس وباء سے شفا یاب ہوگئے۔ ریاست میں اب تک 47 لاکھ 7 ہزار 980 مریض کورونا وائرس وباء سے نجات حاصل کرچکے ہیں۔ کووِڈ سے نجات کی شرح 88 اعشاریہ 68 فیصد ہوگئی ہے۔ فی الحال تمام ریاست میں 5 لاکھ 19 ہزار 254 مریضوں کا علاج جار ی ہے۔ ***** ***** ***** مراٹھواڑہ میں کل 4 ہزار 524 کورونا وائرس متاثرین مریضوںکی تصدیق ہوئی۔ تاہم 128  افراد اس وباء کی وجہ سے لقمۂ اجل بن گئے۔ مرنے والو ںمیں اورنگ آباد ضلع کے 33‘ لاتور 30‘ پربھنی 16‘ عثمان آباد 15‘ ناندیڑ 13‘ بیڑ 11‘ تاہم جالنہ اور ہنگولی اضلاع کے فی کس 5 مریض شامل ہیں۔ بیڑ ضلع میں کل کووِڈ وباء کے نئے ایک ہزار 112 مریضوں کا انکشاف ہوا۔ جالنہ 985‘ اورنگ آباد 665‘ لاتور 560‘ پربھنی اور عثمان آباد اضلاع میں فی کس 458‘ ناندیڑ 208‘ تاہم ہنگولی ضلع میں 78 نئے مریضوں کی تصدیق ہوئی۔ ***** ***** ***** پچھڑے طبقوں کے عہدوں میں ترقی کے ریزرویشن کے سلسلے میں مرکزی مملکتی وزیر رام داس آٹھولے کی قیادت میں ریپبلکن پارٹی کے خاص وفد نے کل گورنر بھگت سنہہ کوشیاری سے ملاقات کی۔ ریاست میں مراٹھا اور تمام ملک میں شیتریہ سماج کے راجپوت، ٹھاکر وغیرہ ذاتوں کو معاشی بنیاد پر علیحدہ ریزرویشن دینے کیلئے صدرِ جمہوریہ اور وزیرِ اعظم مداخلت کریں۔ ریاستی حکومت نے پچھڑے طبقوں کے عہدوں میں ترقی کا ریزرویشن مسترد کرکے ناانصافی کی ہے۔ انہیں فوراً ریزرویشن کا حق حاصل ہو‘وغیرہ مطالبات اس موقع پر کیے گئے۔ ***** ***** ***** نرتیہ سے قبل کی اشیاء کی دُکانیں کل سے ایک دِن آڑ کھلی رہیں گی۔ دودھ فروخت کرنے والے ہر روز صبح 7 سے 11 اور شام 6 سے 9 کے درمیان اپنا کاروبار جاری رکھ سکتے ہیں۔ یہ بات حکمنامے میں کہی گئی ہے۔ ای کامرس، कोरोना बुलेटिन: मरीजों की संख्या 1,31,868 हुई, पिछले 24 घंटे में 6767 नए मामलों

नई दिल्ली। देश में कोरोना वायरस के बीते कई दिनों से रोजाना छह हजार से ज्यादा मामले सामने आ रहे हैं। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के ताजा आंकड़ों के अनुसार, इस समय देश में कोरोना वायरस के मरीजों की संख्या 131868 पहुंच गई है।

इसमें से 3867 लोगों की मौत हुई है। दिल्ली में अब तक 12,910 लोग संक्रमण के चलते बीमार हो चुके हैं, जिसमें से 231 की मौत हुई है। दुनियाभर की बात करें तो 53,64,288 लोग कोरोना वायरस की चपेट में आ चुके हैं। इसमें से 3,41,954 की मौत हुई है।

देश में कोरोना वायरस के मामलों में पिछले 24 घंटे में रिकॉर्ड उछाल आया है। 6767 नए मरीज मिले हैं। वहीं, अब तक कुल संक्रमित मरीजों की संख्या बढ़कर 131868 हो गई है। इसके अलावा 3867 लोगों की मौत हुई है।

कोरोना वायरस के रोजाना बढ़ रहे मामलों के बीच दिल्ली के कुल 92 हॉटस्पॉट में से आधे यानी 45 में पिछले 14 दिन से कोई नया मामला नहीं है। इसलिए इन्हें ऑरेंज जोन में शामिल किया गया है। यदि अगले दो हफ्ते और कोई नया के�� नहीं आया तो इन्हें ग्रीन जोन में डाला जाएगा। इससे इन इलाकों में सामान्य गतिविधियां शुरू हो सकेंगी।

जर्मनी में कोरोना महामारी से स्वस्थ होने वाले मरीजों की संख्या दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा, करीब 90 फीसदी हो गई है। संक्रमितों देशों में सातवें नंबर पर मौजूद जर्मनी में 1,79,768 में से 1,59,900 मरीज इलाज के बाद ठीक होकर लौट चुके हैं।

PM to launch financing facility under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted people on 'Balram jayanti', 'Hal Chhath' and 'Dau janmotsav', and said to mark the occasion, he would launch a financing facility of Rs one lakh crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.

In a series of tweets in Hindi, he extended greetings, especially to the farming community on the occasion. Hal chhath is a festival dedicated to Balaram, the elder brother of Lord Krishna. On Sunday, Modi will also release the sixth instalment of funds of Rs 17,000 crore to 8.5 crore farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme.

The scheme has also been instrumental in supporting farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic, he noted.

Fire breaks out at hotel used as COVID-19 facility in Vijayawada

Fire broke out at a hotel being used as a coronavirus facility in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada on Sunday morning, news agency ANI reported. Fire tenders have been rushed to the spot.

Seven people have lost their lives and 30 have been rescued, according to the Vijaywada Police.

Centre asks states to conduct COVID-19 test of grocery shop workers, vendors

Expressing concern that grocery shops, vegetable and other vendors can be potential spreaders of coronavirus infection to a large number of people, the Union health ministry has advised states and UTs to take up testing of such people to ensure early detection of cases which can lead to reduction in mortality rate, reports PTI.

In a letter to states and UTs, secretary in the health ministry, Rajesh Bhushan, also stressed on the need for operationalising ambulance transport system with oxygen facility and quick response mechanism.

Brazil, a nation of 210 million people, has been reporting an average of more than 1,000 daily deaths from the pandemic since late May.

Confirmed cases in US cross 50-lakh mark

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States have crossed the 50-lakh mark. The total stands at 50,01,126, according to a Reuters tally. This includes a death toll of 1.6 lakh. US continues to be the worst-affected country.

Coronavirus LATEST Updates: Fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. Seven people have lost their lives and 30 have been rescued, according to the Vijaywada Police.

With a spike of 61,537 new COVID-19 cases and 933 deaths India's COVID-19 tally surged to 20,88,612 on Saturday, as per the Union health ministry.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 42,518 in the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The COVID-19 tally of 20,88,612 cases includes 6,19,088 active cases, 14,27,006 cured/discharged/migrated.

COVID-19 confirmed cases had crossed the 10 lakh mark in India on July 17 when the tally reached 10,03,832.

Compared globally, India has one of the lowest cases per million at 1,469 as against the global average of 2,425 and added that the Case Fatality Rate stands at 2.04 per cent.

With 48,900 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, India's total recoveries from COVID-19 has reached 14,27,005. The recovery rate stands at 68.32 per cent.

Meanwhile, 12,822 COVID-19 cases and 275 deaths due to the disease were reported in Maharashtra, the worst affected state by the pandemic, making the tally of the state cross the five lakh mark on Saturday. The state now has 5,03,084 confirmed cases, including 1,47,048 active cases and 17,367 deaths, according to the state health department.

Tamil Nadu, the second-worst affected by the pandemic reported 5,883 positive cases and 118 deaths from across the state today, according to the state health department. The total number of cases now stand at 2,90,907 in the state, including 53,481 active cases, 2,32,618 discharged patients and 4,808 deaths.

As per the health department of national capital 1,404 new coronavirus cases, 1,130 recoveries and 16 deaths were reported today. The total number of cases in Delhi now stands at 1,44,127, including 1,29,362 recoveries, 10,667 active cases and 4,098 deaths. A total of 1,101 new corona cases were reported in Gujarat today, alongwith 1,135 discharges and 23 fatalities. The state has 14,530 active cases, out of which 82 patients are on ventilator.

In Andhra Pradesh 10,080 new COVID-19 cases and 97 deaths were reported, according to the COVID-19 Nodal Officer in the state. The total number of case in the state are now at 2,17,040 including 85,486 active cases, 1,29,615 recovered cases and 1,939 deaths. Meanwhile, Kerala on Saturday recorded a spike of 1,420 positive cases, with 485 cases being reported from state capital Thiruvananthapuram alone. Four deaths were also reported from across the state due to the disease today, according to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The state now has 33,120 confirmed cases, including 12,109 active and 20,862 recovered patients.

According to the daily COVID bulletin of the Punjab government 998 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Punjab in the last 24 hours, making the state tally rise to 22,928. The tally includes 7,506 active cases, and 14,860 cured/discharged patients, apart from 562 deaths being reported due to the disease.

The number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir reached 24,390 on Saturday, including 7,264 active cases. While Jammu has 1,756 active cases, Kashmir has a larger share of 5,508 active cases. A total of 16,667 patients have been cured and discharged in the union territory and a total of 459 deaths have been reported due to the disease.

Further, 169 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur in the last 24 hours, taking total cases to 3,635 including 1,697 active cases, 1,927 discharges and 11 deaths, according to the state government today.

268 new coronavirus cases, 109 discharges and 5 deaths were reported from Puducherry today. The total number of cases in the union territory now stands at 5,087 including 1,953 active cases, 3,054 recovered patients and 80 deaths due to the infection.

The union territory of Chandigarh reported 52 new corona cases today. Taking the total number of cases to 1,426. The death toll due to the disease rose to 24 with one death being reported today. The number of active cases now stands at 529 in the union territory.
