That may well be the most execrable bit of onomastic wordplay I have ever seen, and I think I love it.

Gog’s choice of presentation is fascinating to me.
The demiurges make distinct choices on how they appear: Solomon is a perfectly maintained king, Incubus tries to present as an otherworldly dream-creature, and Mammon is distinct in his lack of intent because his avarice consumes him.
Gog likes playing the comedian. But she isn’t a clown, she’s a jester. A clown just makes people laugh, but a jester? Jesters make commentary without fear of retribution. Just like a classical jester, Gog sees the system she lives within, (and above) finding it ridiculous.
She isn’t just a goofball because she can be, she uses comedy and chaos and sheer raw power to draw attention to the stupid artifice of the system they’re trapped in.

"Do you read Kill Six Billion Demons" I mean, of course – everybody knows I'm a big fan of Homestuck spinoffs.

It's the way that Nukoku's metamorphosis/shedding her shell is a visual callback to Allison removing her prosthetics when she left Jadis.
It's the transformation, it's the becoming, it's the blood, it's the way they (we) are indelibly marked and changed by our experiences, it's the rejection of that which is meant to protect us in favor of that which is true and real, it's the pain, it's the way we can never go back, it's the creation, it's the way even in seeking peace they are creating their own peace through violence, carving it out of themselves if necessary, it's the reclamation and recreation of self where the self has been stripped away through suffering.
