#Jonathan as Nancy's little nepo baby is very important to me

Text
College AU where Mike was supposed to room with Dustin but shenanigans ensue and he ends up rooming with Will and they do not get along. Will thinks Mike is messy, Mike Hates Will's music but they're both trying to make the best of it. (Don't worry they're going to kiss kiss fall in love)
Meanwhile, Max lives with Dustin and Lucas because the school messed up and thought she was a boy. And the three of them are getting into absolute hijinks while trying to hide the fact that Max shouldn't be in that room.
AND IN THE BACKGROUND, Nancy is the editor of the school paper and has been in a secret relationship with Jonathan for like two years so they could avoid nepotism allegations.
But wait where's El? You ask. Simple she's in the other dorm with a similar name wondering why her roommate never showed up and rushing the sorority Chrissy's in. (Or she's living in Jonathan and Argyle's apartment and in on the nepo baby secret)

What do you think about the play's reveal that Joyce was a theater kid and wanted to go to college for it?
Hi anon
I LOVE IT. Like my very first thought after finding out was deciding that once the apocalypse is over she can teach drama at Hawkins High (she'd be such an amazing teacher and Dustin is her little nepo baby main lead)
But I also love the way it ties Jonathan and Will's artistic traits back to Joyce. Like all three of them see the world through different but similar lens with art and photography and the stage that just so good to me.
And I love that it leaves room to tie Jonathan's love of books back to his mom like I can't think about it too much or I'll cry. (This is me reminding everyone for the 10k time that Jonathan's fave class is English lit (he shares it with Nancy but I digress he really just loves reading))
And then I also love that it hits on just the absolute trauma of Joyce being desperate to get out of Hawkins and live her dreams and be completely derailed. Like I know I've touched on this part and so many other writers have too but it's nice to see it in canon. And it gives me a little hope that they understand how important it is that Jonathan breaks the cycle.
