i haven't seen Jesus Christ Superstar (2012) since i was an angsty atheist 13 year old and i have to say that is by far the worst jesus i have ever seen. who cast this man? who would follow this jesus? just terrible.

tim minchin as judas still holds up, but the casting of jesus renders the thing unwatchable

john legend depicts him better in every way, i recommend the 2018 version for anyone interested
