Update from a Complete Pantser who is Trying to Plot:

It's so much funnier and easier to plot when you write out a short description of scenes in the most judgmental way possible. Like, "Okay, these complete dumbasses decide for some reason to escape in the middle of the night to rescue the protag's sister against all odds, and, miracle that it is, fucking somehow they manage to save her and escape with none of them dying a horrible death." It's so much more fun than just listing events off. I definitely recommend using what I will now be calling the Judgmental Author Plotting Device.
