The Revelation of Jesus Christ
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. — Revelation 1 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain. “You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” the brothers answered. “You will indeed drink My cup,” Jesus said. “But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom My Father has prepared them.” When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. But Jesus called them aside and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them. It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”” Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭22‬-‭28‬
To drink of a cup, in the Scriptures, often signifies to be afflicted, or to be punished, Matthew 26:39; Isaiah 51:17, Isaiah 51:22; Psalm 73:10; Psalm 75:8; Jeremiah 25:15; Revelation 16:9. The figure is taken from a feast, where the master of a feast extends a cup to those present. Thus God is represented as extending to his Son a cup filled with a bitter mixture - one causing deep sufferings, John 18:11. This was the cup to which he referred.
The baptism that I am baptized with - This is evidently a phrase denoting the same thing. Are ye able to suffer with me - to endure the trials and pains which shall come upon you and me in endeavoring to build up my kingdom? Are you able to bear it when sorrows shall cover you like water, and you shall be sunk beneath calamities as floods, in the work of religion? Afflictions are often expressed by being sunk in the floods and plunged in deep waters, Psalm 69:2; Isaiah 43:2; Psalm 124:4-5; Lamentations 3:54. (Barnes Notes on the Bible)
And he saith unto them, ye shall drink indeed of my cup,.... Not of the selfsame, but of what was like unto it; meaning, that they should endure much persecution for his name's sake, as all that will live godly in Christ Jesus must expect in one shape or another. Thus James, who was one of these persons, was slain with the sword by Herod; John, the other, was imprisoned, and beaten by the order of the Jewish sanhedrim, was banished into the isle of Patmos by Domitian; and, some say, was cast into a cauldron of boiling oil, though saved in it: so that these words seem to be a prophecy of what they should suffer for Christ, instead of enjoying places of worldly honour and profit under him, they were seeking for. (Gill’s Exposition of the Bible)

Last time I check Malcom X isn’t talked about mic in school because he was a extremist (yeah yeah he change later on before his murder.)
Also do tumblr and Twitter forget that school lgives you the bare bones of a era in the span of 45 minutes classroom. So someone like MLK is much easier to teach to kids vs Malcom X.
And since you said a antisemtic group, Malcom learn who owned a lot of slave ships or something?
That first bit is basically what I said, that last one is totally off base.
Tired old complaint that's meant to be inflammatory and if I wanted to do a rebuttal I could point out the slavery in the Ottoman empire or even just the logical observation that everyone was involved and singling any one group out for special attention is a bad look. __________________
You want to know what NOI has against Jewish people, I'll let you know.
Short version is Wallace Fard Muhammad and his successor Elijah Muhammad are like a black L. Ron Hubbard.
Longer version is. (I'll trim unneeded/redundant bits and TL:DR)
In the beliefs of the Nation of Islam (NOI), Yakub was a black scientist who lived 6,600 years ago and began the creation of the white race/whites. He is said to have done this through a form of selective breeding which is referred to as "grafting", while he was living on the island of Patmos. The Nation of Islam's theology states that Yakub is the biblical Jacob.
Yakub is said to have been born in Mecca at a time when 30% of original black people were "dissatisfied". He was a member of the Meccan branch of the Tribe of Shabazz. Yakub acquired the nickname "big head", because of his unusually large head and his arrogance. At the age of six, he discovered the law of attraction and repulsion by playing with magnets made of steel.
This insight led to a plan to create new people. He "saw an unlike human being, made to attract others, who could, with the knowledge of tricks and lies, rule the original black man.” By the age of 18, he had exhausted all knowledge in the universities of Mecca. He then discovered that the original black man contained both a "black germ" and a "brown germ". With 59,999 followers, he went to an "isle in the Aegean Sea called Pelan", which Muhammad identifies with Patmos. Once there, he established a despotic regime and set about breeding out the black traits, killed all darker babies, and created a brown race after 200 years.
He died his followers finished his work and after 600 years the white man existed finally.
The new race traveled to Mecca where they caused so much trouble they were exiled to "West Asia (Europe), and stripped of everything but the language….Once there, they were roped in, to keep them out of Paradise….The soldiers patrolled the border armed with swords, to prevent the devils from crossing." For many centuries they lived a barbaric life, surviving naked in caves and eating raw meat, but eventually they were drawn out of the caves by Moses who "taught them to wear clothes". Moses tried to civilize them, but eventually gave up and blew up 300 of the most troublesome of them with dynamite.
(Dynamite thing kills me every time, but it's all nonsensical so why not)
"Whites" were defined as Europeans. Elijah Muhammad also asserted that some of the new white race "tried to graft themselves back into the black nation, but they had nothing to go by." As a result, they became gorillas. "A few were lucky enough to make a start, and got as far as what you call the gorilla. In fact, all of the monkey family are from this 2,000 year history of the white race in Europe."
Now to the nitty gritty basis of their Antisemitism
The name Yaqub (Yakub) is the Arabic variant of the name of the Biblical Patriarch known as Jacob in English language versions of the Bible, and as Yaqob in Biblical Hebrew. Fard Muhammad's Yakub has some parallels to the Biblical Jacob's role as the father of the tribes of Israel. The idea that Jews were an "artificial race" created by interbreeding and dependent on "tricks and lies" already existed in anti-Semitic theories of the time. The story of Yakub includes Jews as part of a wider artificially created "white" race. ___________________________________________
TL:DR; The biblical patriarch Jacob the son of Isaac who is the son of Abraham, who became the father of Joseph and the heads of the 12 Tribes of Israel is who their doctrine teaches created the white man in order to subjugate and rule over the black man.
So they blame the Jewish people for absolutely everything negative that's happened to black people for the last 6000 years.
So many others through history have tried to use them as a scapegoat, what's one more group right? ____________________________
one other bit too tack on for anyone that might wonder if they're really supposed to be the same person
In speeches by Malcolm X, Yakub is identified completely with Jacob. Referring to the story of Jacob wrestling with the angel, Malcolm X states that Elijah Muhammad told him that "Jacob was Yacub, and the angel that Jacob wrestled with wasn't God, it was the government of the day". This was because Yakub was seeking funds for his expedition to Patmos,
But ya, black L. Ron Hubbard _____________
One last bit
Last time I check Malcom X isn’t talked about mic in school because he was a extremist (yeah yeah he change later on before his murder.)
Sad you're not mentioning that all signs point to him being murdered on the orders of current NoI leader Louis Farrakhan.
-----------
Honestly I'm really just waiting for the fedora tipping atheist™ squad to start in on NoI, it'd be good for a laugh

Finding self-worth
Word for Today written by Bob and Debby Gass
Friday 19th April 2024
'[God] will give you everything you need.' Matthew 6:33 NLT
When you read God's word, you discover how he feels about you. As a result, your memories begin to heal, your self-worth is restored and you stop trading with a devalued self-image. In a survey of supposedly happy couples, over 50 per cent said they wouldn't marry the same person again. Why? Because the answer to loneliness isn't people; it's purpose! The apostle John was a prisoner on the Isle of Patmos when God showed him the glories of Heaven and he wrote the book of Revelation. Paul was alone in a Roman dungeon when he wrote half the New Testament.
God did some of his best work when he was alone with no one to applaud him, so he praised himself, saying, 'It was very good' (Genesis 1:31 NKJV). Can you do that? It's nice when others speak well of you, but when you can speak well of yourself, it reflects your opinion of yourself - and that's the one you live with every day. Three cheers for these Bible heroes who taught us how to be alone and enjoy it! Somewhere beyond loneliness, there is a contentment born of necessity. When your options close in the natural realm, you find doors opening to you in the spiritual realm.
So, work on deepening your relationship with God. As you do, you'll find joy, and develop qualities that attract the right people. It's why Jesus said that when you 'seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously...he will give you everything you need' (Matthew 6:33 NLT) - including self-worth.

A NEW ONE
‎ ——— ثرد ———
AULIS MAIN CAMPUS, MELOCI OLEM
The great study hall, Meloci Olem is named for John the Baptist. Specifically his refuge stay on the Isle of Patmos.
The administration of AULIS conscribed local language and art students to come up with names for the grand specimen of architecture and the pupils didn’t disappoint.
However, it was a drop-out student, Konstel Columba who submitted the winning entry.
She considered John’s stay on the Isle of Patmos, as described in Matthew 3:4, and combined the letters of things he ate: “Mel” for honey, as bees are melliferous (meaning honey-producing), “loc” for locusts, which John ate with the honey, and a simple letter “i” for Isle.
Meloci.
She was equally surprised as we upon discovering that she’d nearly independently recreated the Basque word for “melon”, which is meloi.
Kind of makes you wonder what John’s staple snack tasted like.
Coincidentally (and in accordance with campus rules) everyone does speak with a “mellow key” in Meloci Hall. And like the famous Norse trickster, Loki, we’ve had a fair share of pranksters.
But for the most part, things run smoothly.
Hey…maybe the “c” in Meloci just means it’s a cantaloupe!

John's testimony from Patmos
This is the third in a series of excerpts from What Every Christian Should Know About the Return of Jesus, released by High Street Press and available at Amazon.com. In the visions John receives while exiled on the Isle of Patmos, he often records the words of Jesus foretelling his return. John may have recorded these visions as early as the A.D. 60s or as late as the A.D. 90s. In any case,…

"DON'T LET THE PRESSURE STOP YOUR PRESS!"
“I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience His resurrection power, be a partner in His suffering, and go all the way with Him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it.” (Philippians 3:10-11 MSG) While John was a prisoner on the Isle of Patmos, far from his loved ones and surrounded by the cries of…

Trumpets
By Daymond Duck
Published on: September 16, 2023
There is a possibility that this article will be posted on Rosh Hashanah (the Feast of Trumpets), so I felt led to mention a few things the Bible says about Trumpets.
While the Hebrews were wandering in the wilderness, God told Moses to make 2 trumpets of silver.
God told Moses to blow the trumpets:
To signal the people to assemble,
To signal the people to march,
To signal the people at times of war,
To announce the feast days and sacrifices (Num. 10:1-10).
He told Moses what Feast days to observe, when to observe them, and why they should observe them (Lev. 23).
BLOW THE TRUMPETS TO ASSEMBLE
God said, “when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation” (Num. 10:3).
BLOW THE TRUMPETS TO MARCH
God said, “Make thee two trumpets of silver . . . for the journeying of the camps” (Num. 10: 2).
When Moses wanted the Jews to move to a new location, they were to start moving at the sound of a trumpet.
BLOW TRUMPETS FOR WAR
God said, “If ye go to war . . . blow the trumpets and I will remember you” (Num. 10:9).
At Jericho, God told Joshua to march around the city once each day for 6 days and have priests blow rams’ horns (shofars or trumpets; Josh. 6:1-27).
He told them to do it 7 times on the seventh day, and on the seventh time, the walls of Jericho fell.
BLOW TRUMPETS FOR FEASTS AND SACRIFICES
God said, “in the day of your gladness . . . Ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices” (Num. 10:10).
Trumpets were blown to show that the Feast Days and sacrifices were special days and events, not ordinary days and events.
They are special because they point to God and Jesus.
TRUMPETS AND THE VOICE OF GOD
The Israelites heard the voice of the trumpet when God came down to give them the Ten Commandments at Mt. Sinai (Ex. 19:16).
When John saw Jesus on the Isle of Patmos, he heard a voice like a trumpet (Rev. 1:10).
When John was called up into heaven, he heard a voice as of a trumpet (Rev. 4:1).
TRUMPETS WHEN DECEASED CHRISTIANS ARE RAISED
Paul said, “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first” (I Thess. 4:16).
AN OLD TESTAMENT PICTURE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT RAPTURE
Moses led the Jews to Mt. Sinai (Ex. 19:1).
God told Moses He would come down in a thick cloud to meet the people (Ex. 19:9-11).
Jesus will come down in the clouds to meet His people at the Rapture (I Thess. 4:16).
God wanted the Jews to hear His voice at Mt. Sinai (Ex. 19-9).
Jesus will shout, and His people will hear His voice at the Rapture (I Thess. 4:16).
BACK TO MT. SINAI (THREE DAYS LATER)
“There were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud” (Ex. 19:16).
“And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God” Ex. 19:17).
At the Rapture, the church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (I Thess. 4:17).
THE LAST TRUMP OR GREAT BLAST
“Mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.  And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice” (Ex. 19:18-19).
The last blast of the trumpet was the longest and loudest.
I have read that some of the religious Jews call that last blast the “last trump” or the “great blast.”
ASSEMBLE AT THE DOOR
When the trumpets were blown a certain way in the wilderness, the Jews were to assemble at the door of the tabernacle (Ex. 19:13).
When Jesus blows the trumpet, the Church will assemble in the air and go to the door of heaven (I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 4:1).
(More: The Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits foretold the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus). Not all agree, but many prophecy teachers believe the Feasts of Pentecost and Trumpets foretell the beginning and end of the Church Age, also called the beginning and end of the Age of Grace.)
Here are some events that seem to indicate that we are getting close to the Rapture.
One, concerning trumpets: to alert the Jews that something terrible is about to happen, God told the prophet Joel to “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations” (Joel 2:1-2).
The day of the Lord refers to the Tribulation Period.
The blowing of the trumpet is to get the people’s attention (to get people to listen).
On Sept. 10, 2023, Rabbi Yehuda Glick (of Temple Mount fame) blew a trumpet on the Mount of Olives in honor of God, the sovereign Creator who created the world in six days (the King to whom everyone on earth is accountable).
Glick was troubled by the fact that political considerations prevented him from blowing the trumpet on the Temple Mount, so he chose a spot that allowed him to see where the Temple once stood.
(My opinion: One purpose of the prophetic signs that are shaping up in the world today is to warn the world that the Tribulation Period is close. I suppose people can debate whether Glick blowing a trumpet on the Mount of Olives is a warning or not, but it seems to me that people need to listen to those who are saying the Tribulation Period is close. This is not the first time religious Jews have done this, but it is not unusual for God to give several warnings before He acts.)
Two, concerning peace and safety in the Middle East: on Sept. 6, 2023, it was reported that U.S. Sec. of State Antony Blinken has:
Held more discussions with the Saudis about a defense agreement between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia (to protect Saudi Arabia against Iran) that would include a peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Held more discussions with Israel and pledged that the U.S. will continue to support “policies that ensure freedom, security (safety), and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians alike.”
(Note: A breakthrough doesn’t seem imminent, but the discussions are heating up, and there have been several reports that an agreement could come as soon as early 2024. I am not predicting it, but it is possible that a declaration of peace and safety could be shaping up.)
Three, concerning the globalist desire to reduce the population of the earth: on Sept. 6, 2023, Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Org. (WHO), said Covid is here to stay, and we need tools to fight it.
Even though hundreds of highly qualified doctors, scientists, and educators say the jab is causing people to get sick and die, the WHO is still urging people to get tested, get vaccinated (even if they recently received one), wear a mask, and practice social distancing.
The WHO is still seeking the authority to decide what constitutes a pandemic, to declare one, and to force everyone on earth to obey their instructions.
(Note: I believe abortion, homosexuality, and euthanasia are part of the plan to reduce the population of the earth. Open borders and the free flow of drugs that are killing millions may also be part of it. Denying the use of drugs that could save lives—Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, etc.—during the Covid crisis could be part of it. Moving Covid patients from hospitals could be part of it. Children in the U.S. have died suddenly following an mRNA vaccination for Covid, and some people still want to force it on children.)
Four, concerning natural disasters: on Sept. 9, 2023, a powerful 6.8 earthquake (the most powerful to strike North Africa in 120 years) struck Morrocco, killing more than 1,000 people and leaving many injured and missing.
The toll is expected to rise as rescuers start digging through the rubble.
(Update: On Sept. 12, 2023, the confirmed death toll topped 2,900, and more than 5,500 have been injured.)
Five, concerning natural disasters: on Sept. 10, 2023, a Mediterranean cyclone called Daniel struck the coast of Libya.
On Sept. 12, 2023, officials said it busted dams, washed away entire neighborhoods, killed more than 5,300 people, and left more than 10,000 missing.
Six, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters: on Sept. 11, 2023, it was reported that Hurricane Idalia, which struck Florida in August 2023, was the 23rd billion-dollar weather disaster in the U.S. this year.
The previous record of 22 was broken with four months to go.
Seven, concerning the ability to track all buying and selling: it is common knowledge that the U.S. government can locate anyone’s cellphone.
On Oct. 4, 2023, at 2:20 p.m., the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) intends to send a text message (its second time to do this) to every consumer cell phone in the U.S.
The purpose is to test America’s Emergency Alert System (EAS), but the ability to contact every consumer cell phone in the U.S. at the same time is a clear signal that the ability to track everyone is shaping up.
Eight, concerning world government and a global ID: on Sept. 10, 2023, at a G-20 meeting in India, EU Commission Pres. Ursula von der Leyen said the future of the world will be digital, so the world needs:
International digital ID systems.
More globalist institutions to set boundaries and regulations.
Global digital infrastructures along the lines of the coronavirus passport system.
For whatever it is worth, the unelected Antichrist will come out of the Revived Roman Empire (the EU), and the current unelected president of the EU is calling for more global laws.
Nine, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: after reporting that Israel has obstructed 27 Iranian terror attacks on Israel in 2023, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency said (Sept. 10, 2023):
“The time has come to exact a price from Iran. Any harm done to any Israeli or Jew in any way whatsoever, and I mean in any way whatsoever, via proxy or Iranian alike, will elicit a response against the Iranians who dispatched the terrorists and the policymakers who authorized the terror units to carry out the plots, from the bottom all the way up to the top. I mean what I say. The price will be exacted from deep inside Iran, in the heart of Tehran.”
Both sides have been making threats for years, but Iranian proxies are now attacking inside Israel, and the IDF is threatening to go after Iranian leaders deep inside Iran.
If Israel carries out that threat, the Battle of Gog and Magog could break loose.
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION
UNDERSTANDING REVELATION
Revelation is the dramatization of the unveiling of Jesus Christ. It records the events that are currently leading up to the second coming of our Lord and Savior back to this earth. In verse one of chapter 4 we move into the future, the prophetic part of the Book of Revelation.
“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”

Three Event Categories
The Apostle John was inspired by God to write Revelation while he was exiled on the Isle of Patmos. It is not written in chronological order. But it is in an order, just not from front to back. There are three categories of events in the Book of Revelation according to Revelation 1:19—the things which John had already seen; the things “which are” (situations already existing in John’s world); and future events–the things “which shall be hereafter.” These future events are described in four major categories: seven seals, seven trumpets, seven thunders and seven vials.
Seven Seals
The seals are the long story, ending with Armageddon and Jesus’ return to earth. The trumpets are the shorter story ending at the same place. The vials are the very short story, also ending at the Armageddon. These categories, like the four gospels, tell the same story from four different perspectives. The sixth and seventh seal, the seventh trumpet and the seventh vial all describe voices, lightning, thunders, an earthquake and great hail. These all describe the same event, because they are the same event. Each of them describes the second coming of Jesus Christ to this earth.
Parenthetical Chapters
The skeletal structure of Revelation is contained in the seals, the trumpets and the vials. Revelation also contains what we call parenthetical chapters. These chapters are similar to color commentary. They give us additional information not contained in the seals, trumpets and vials. For example, Revelation chapter 12 describes a war that will take place in heaven three and one-half years before the second coming. Revelation chapter 13 foretells the coming one-world government, one-world religion and the global economic system. Revelation chapters 17 and 18 contain a detailed account of the coming destruction of the false religious systems that will be in alliance with the Antichrist.
Blessing and Curse
Revelation is the only book in the Bible that ends with a blessing on those who keep the sayings of the book, and a curse on those who add to or take away from the things written in the book. “Blessed is he that readeth and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Revelation 1:3)
“…If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18-19
You and I are part of the generation that will see the unveiling of Jesus Christ. The Bible has given us reliable signs that we are in the endtimes. Jesus said, “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” (Matthew 24:33-34) Which generation will not pass until all these things are fulfilled? The Answer is, the generation that shall the things prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24. We are witnessing the fulfillment of these things right now!
Revelation 1-3
Revelation 1:7 reveals the entire theme of the Book of Revelation, the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him…”
Chapters 2 and 3 contain special messages written to the seven churches of Asia. After John was released from exile, he became the overseer of these churches and was able to personally deliver the messages from God to them.
Revelation 4-5
We get a glimpse of heaven and see the worship of the One “who sits on the throne.” The cry goes out, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” No one in all of heaven and earth was found worthy to open the scroll until the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, stood in the midst of the throne.
Revelation 6
In chapter 6 the Lamb looses the seals, revealing the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the souls under the altar and the heavens departing like a scroll.
Revelation 7
Chapter seven describes the sealing of the 144,000 to protect them from the calamities to come.
The later part of the chapter describes those that have come out of great tribulation. “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 7:14).
Revelation 8-11
Five of the first six trumpets reveal great catastrophes upon the nations, but the people still do not repent.
The sounding of the seventh trumpet in Revelation 11:15 signals the time when the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of Jesus Christ. This includes the Battle of Armageddon and the second coming of Christ. The Bible states that at this time men will finally repent and give glory to God. This seventh trumpet is the “last trump” referred to in 1 Corinthians 15:52.
Revelation 12
Revelation 12 describes a woman with twelve stars about her head. The woman is depicted in the throes of childbirth. The dragon, Satan, stands before the woman to devour the child as soon as he is born. The woman is Israel, and the twelve stars symbolize the twelve tribes of Israel. The child is Jesus. Herod the Great did attempt to kill Jesus just as soon as He was born; however, he failed.
The narrative of Revelation 12 then jumps 2,000 years. Satan wages war against the forces of God in heaven but is defeated. Satan is cast out of heaven with his angels and confined to the earth. The dragon then wages war against Israel, but Israel is protected by the wings of a great eagle. A beast rises from the sea, a confederation of world empires led by the Antichrist. Another beast comes out of the earth, appearing as a lamb, but speaking like the devil. This second beast, the False Prophet, deceives the people of the earth influencing them to worship the Antichrist.
Revelation 13
This chapter depicts the Antichrist and his one-world government. It also describes the Antichrist’s religious partner, the False Prophet. In the latter part of the chapter, the economic system of the endtime, called the “mark of the beast” is described.
Revelation 14
The 144,000 of Revelation 14 are redeemed, undefiled, blameless and protected by God. Revelation 14:8 announces that Babylon the Great has fallen because it made all the world commit spiritual adultery. Chapter 14 tells of the reaping of the harvest of the earth—the rapture of the church. Then there is another harvest, the “reaping of the vine of the earth,” to be thrown into the winepress of the wrath of God. This speaks of the Battle of Armageddon.
Revelation 15
Revelation 15 introduces the seven angels having the seven last plagues. It states that in these plagues “is filled up the wrath of God.”
Revelation 16
This chapter records the pouring out of the final seven plagues (the vials). Verses 12-16 record the preparations for the Battle of Armageddon. The seventh vial is the same as the sixth and seventh seal and the seventh trumpet.
Revelation 17-18
Revelation 16:16-19 introduces Armageddon and the judgment of the false religious system called Mystery Babylon. God so hates false religion that He spends chapters 17 and 18 on the judgment “the great whore.” God always uses a woman to symbolize a church. He uses a virgin to symbolize His true church, and a harlot to symbolize the false compromised church of the endtime.
Revelation 19
After spending two chapters on the judgment against the false church, God proceeds to describe His marriage to the true church. “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.” After the marriage, Jesus proceeds to the earth to fight the Battle of Armageddon and to set up His kingdom.
Revelation 20
After Armageddon, Satan is bound for the next 1,000 years. After the thousand-year period has ended, Satan will be released to deceive the nations again. Satan is finally cast into the lake of fire, to be tormented forever. The books are opened for the final judgment, and all are judged according to their deeds. (Revelation 20:12) Those whose names are not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life are cast into the lake of fire, where Satan and his angels are in eternal torment. The only way to get your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life is to be born again, as depicted in Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Revelation 21
John states that there will be a new heaven and a new earth. He is told that the New Jerusalem is the bride, the Lamb’s wife. The New Jerusalem is then described in great detail.
Revelation 22
This final chapter of Revelation summarizes the goal of the entire book. It describes the river of life and the tree of life that will be in the New Jerusalem. It also states that those who hear the sayings of the book of Revelation will be blessed. A dual warning is given. If any person adds to the things written in the book of Revelation, God will add to that person the plagues that are written in the book. If anyone takes away from the book of Revelation, God will take away his name from the book of life. Finally, in this concluding chapter, God emphasizes the central message of the book by saying three times, “Behold, I come quickly.”

FULFILLED IN JESUS
From start to finish, the book of Revelation is addressed to the “seven churches of Asia,” and they do not fade from the picture in the later sections of the book. While it may include a larger audience, Revelation is first and foremost a message for those seven assemblies, and the significance of its visions cannot be understood apart from them.
The opening paragraph presents the book as the record of the visions received by John while he was exiled on the isle of Patmos. Here, it calls itself “the prophecy” in the singular number, and its contents concern “what things that must come to pass soon.” Its first recipients would have understood the time reference “soon” from their perspective.
THEY WHO HEAR
John is commanded to record his visions in a scroll, then to send the document to seven churches in key cities of the Roman province of Asia. Moreover, according to the promise of Jesus, the one “who reads, and they who hear the words of the prophecy” will be “blessed.”
And John is told to send the “book,” singular, to the “seven churches - to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea” - (Revelation 1:1-11).
The book’s first vision includes seven letters addressed to the “seven churches of Asia.” Each letter includes commendations, corrections, warnings, and promises specific to its congregation, and each letter concludes with the admonishment to “hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches,” plural.
The “churches of Asia” do not disappear from the picture after the letter to Laodicea. The promises for “overcomers” in each letter include verbal links to the vision of “New Jerusalem” at the end of the book.
Likewise, the exhortation to “hear what the Spirit is saying” in each letter also occurs in the central and concluding sections of the book- (Revelation 13:9-10, 22:16).

Summary of The book of Revelation
Chapter 1 begins with John on the Isle of Patmos, his visitation and his writing to the church. The letter is sent to the seven major churches in Asia. These seven churches serve also as the examples of the future of the church on earth.  Chapter 2 to 3 describes the church age, with it ending in a lukewarm state. The persecuted are comforted and encouraged to maintain faith along with the…
