Wedding Vows Transmisson
My dearest Kobra Kid, my sweetest dream,
My longing for this day was not spent in vain. My patience has rewarded me with a prize I am not worthy of. Yet, here you are-here we are! Standing face to face, your hands in mine. Surrounded by a multitude of color and life. We made it!
In my younger years, I would have never seen a day like this in my future. As I grew up, I was convinced that I would spend the rest of my years alone as a simple wanderer with no place to call home and no one to call his own. Thankfully, that was not what life had planned for me. In an instant, my whole existence would carry a new meaning and gain a sense of purpose.
Our life together, of course, started small, but this desert-despite being a wasteland-has a way of making things grow. I found a charm to your smile, a song in your laugh, and an unexplored galaxy in your eyes. There was a certain something to the way you spoke and the way you said my name. Your personality was bright as the harvest moon. Every glance you made I returned. Our curiosity soon got the best of us. A barrier was lifted and we fell through at full speed, no holding back. I felt I had just been given a freedom from my worries and doubts. I basked in the sweet release, surrendering to your love…
The long road bringing you and me to this point has been riddled with all sorts of obstacles, danger, and false signs to turn around, go back, and give up. Some signs screamed, “Wrong way!” and others, “This is a dead end!”. Nonetheless, we kept running while forgiveness and compassion followed closely.
Today, we seal the pact of our love as promises to the stars that float above us.
From this day forward, our souls will be one.
I will go wherever you will go. Even if that means I must follow you into the dark.
With you, I am braver. With you, I am complete.
No longer will you have to face the hardships of life alone.
No longer will you have to worry about the days ahead, for I will be with you through it all.
From now on, we shall burn as a beacon of hope in a crumbling world.
I, Jet Star, shall be the protector of your heart; your lifelong guardian angel.
