Dragonball 30 Day Challenge Day 10: Favorite Attack

So, while I do admit to having a love for the classic Kamehameha, particularly when it’s delivered with awesome animation, it does get a bit overused. I still always love seeing it and any new variations of it, I will no doubt adore but for attacks, I can’t say it’s my favorite.

Truthfully, I like attacks that aren’t necessarily “killers” on their own but can certainly set an enemy up for a kill. For me, this requires a lot more strategy and thought to be used which really serves to improve a battle.

First up, kienzan or “Destruco Disc” in English which literally translates as “Energy Circle Slash/Energy Slicing Disc.” I love this attack because of its versatility. It’s easy to use in close quarters and despite an enemy’s abilities, if they’re sliced in half, that usually does it. Krillin doesn’t get nearly enough credit and I think he created one of the most useful attacks out there!

Secondly, I have to give credit to Taiyoken or “Solar Flare” in English which is literally “Great Sun/Solar Fist.” I adore this attack because it always works. The only time it won’t is if an enemy is prepared for it and given it’s done so quickly, that doesn’t happen very often. Blinding your enemy and taking them off guard is a classic strategy and I love that it’s still used in DBZ.

There’s a few other attacks I like but like I said, it’s the simple ones that hold my interest because they make you use strategy and not just brute force, something I did come to miss in later seasons.
