ASK MEME, you’re a killer. i catch killers.

“ a killer. my, how you humble me, detective. ” nothing within her strives to comment your ever-increasing ego, captious tones trivialising your achievements to practically nil. the file across from you catalogues otherwise, bullet-pointing all the crimes you could eventually be charged with and yet, @defensiveness calls you killer. you chuckle, valuing morgan’s snark far more than you would care to admit: the cells were glacial, aloof, not large nor friendly enough even to bounce your prospective schemes off of. so these short moments spent in the stony detective’s company were something to be savoured, her antagonism much too toothsome to waste. you swallowed the rest of the unremarkable days with some soulless simplicity, but her susceptibility—— now that was something you could really sink your teeth into, sensitive to your off-hand remarks. they often were, you noted how the department liked less to see than to condemn: their corruption was laid within the foundations, and perhaps they did not know where to begin. so you showed them, and would continue to show them as soon as the thick steel bars that kept you stagnant would one day authorise your freedom.

“ though i did think it was me that handed myself in. you didn’t catch this killer, detective: does that bother you? did you have any idea, really? ”

Dexter Morgan= Modern Day Serial Killer, but with "morals". Typically only goes after people he deems as "Evil". Only killed someone he marked as an Innocent person one time because they were in severe pain from advanced cancer. Likes his meat so rare its basically blue. Looks at the world this way, gets along better with women than men. Is in charge of several people through questionable means, and has weird hair.

Rules: write your 10 favorite female characters from 10 different fandoms and then tag 10 people (in no particular order).

Leslie Knope (Parks and Recreation) [Leslie freaking Knope. There were a lot of really good moments to pick from but this one was the most relevant for this year and made me laugh. She’s as much of a strong willed, determined, passionate, type-A, over zealous, waffle loving, hoarder that anyone can ever hope to be. She sets the bar really high; and we can all only hope to be ‘Leslie’s’ one day.]

Debra Morgan (Dexter) [I almost don’t even know what to say about Deb, other than that I love the shit out of her and that she now inhabits a piece of my soul. She’s a character that speaks from the heart, if nothing else, lol.]

Eleanor Shellstrop (The Good Place) [Everybody loves a comedic relief/redemption arch character, right? A medium person? A person who has maybe made some not so good choices but is willing to learn and assess a situation? She’s smart and cheeky, and ruins all of Michael’s plans and found love in a hopeless place and she never fails to put a smile on my face. Gosh that got awfully cheesy at the end there, so sorry for that…]

Rachel Scott (The Last Ship) [Don’t even get me started on Rachel. But I just love her. She’s amazing and she saved… just you know the entire human race with her BRAIN and sheer stubbornness, despite everyone and everything telling her she couldn’t do it. I will continue to be upset with what happened until the day I die- and then I’ll probably roll over in my grave in frustration; but I love her and that’s what’s important here.] (*purposefully vague for no spoilers but if you have feels and would like to chat hit me up with a message!)

Felicity Smoak (Arrow) [Felicity is a well known genius, but she’s also an amazing person and friend and is always protective af- even if it’s someone like Supergirl she’s protecting. Felicity is ballsy and intelligent no matter what universe she’s in and there is no argument that can tell me any different.]

Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) [It was super hard to pick just one moment from this movie she’s so precious and amazing, and I loved that they balanced the naivety and innocence of her character so well with her vast intelligence and strength and courage and strong morals. It was a melting pot of superhero perfectness and cinnamon roll preciousness in my book.]

Emma Swan (Once Upon a Time) [”heavy is the heart that wears the crown”-Emma carried a lot, but she always did it with a humble head on her shoulders. She might not have asked or wanted to be the savior, but she always chose to do the right thing even when it was the very hardest thing and she was 1000% done with yet another curse or another villain that had somehow found their way to her and her family.]

Skye/Daisy Johnson (Agents of Shield) [I was planning on picking a season 1 gif, bc baby!skye really is my favorite, but then I saw this and had to go with it instead. The development of this character y’all! This kid has been through hell and just… all the hugs!]

Chloe Decker (Lucifer) [I love her -and them- but this moment alone will be the death of me, and she’s such a cute little doofus who can hold her own (#strong woman who don’t need no man); but her bond with lucifer, and how it affects the two of them- the interplay! my god!-, is so interesting to watch and leaves me needing more every.single.week.]

Lucy Preston (Timeless) [One of my newest favorite female characters, but also one of the most important to me personally. Lucy’s weaved her way into my heart in a way like no other TV character ever has. I relate to her on levels that I didn’t think were possible, and it’s been so amazing seeing her as a role model both on the show and in fic; and I think if I don’t stop here I’ll end up writing a whole essay- so you’ll just have to watch the show or do some google sleuthing (or inbox me) to find out more about her.]

Please excuse me if you find this repetitive, as I’ve just done a tag like this (x) but I’m a sucker for tags and strong women, so it just had to be done.
