A Webcomic by Atomic Jelly Cat

Sci-fi comedy about a girl and her unglamorous life as a con-man's daughter and her weird robotic extended family.

This is a project I have been working on in private since 2017, and began uploading pages of it to Webtoon since March 2022 and now since we're coming up on the two year anniversary of posting these pages, I'm gonna start uploading em' here bit by bit.

Be warned, since this is a project two years in the making (and more to go) the quality and formatting isn't the best at the beginning. But I do find my footing as it goes on, and I appreciate your patience!

Mari Stottlmeyer, the child of a wanted conman with no real home, was on the run again. This time, however, was different. The will of her estranged Uncle had found them, and she has inherited his legacy: 5 just-as-strange-as-he robots in a giant mechanical manor. While her father tries to spin this strange circumstance into a get rich quick scheme, Mari is realizing there’s something horribly wrong with the little rainy town of Arcane reach, and a darkness surrounding her uncles' untimely death

13- Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what have you been listening to recently?

Nope, too distracting truly 🥲 no matter if it has words or not -- by brain stalls and I just end up either staring at the wall or singing :")

22- Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process?  How do you come up with titles?

Sometimes i do it before the story itself even exists (like ilyet and arranged heartbreak or the wips listed in my masterlist), sometimes in the middle (an epiphany moment in which my brain goes YOU KNOW WHAT---?).

Titles are usually based on the core of the story if the fic is rather long:

I love you in every timeline: inspired by DSMOM originally -- it's actually a wordplay on the entire story : it holds its essence entirely, playing on the identity of the two girls, the contrast of Sebastian's emotions and the way time affects the whole ordeal (how he himself has as well, directly on indirectly, affected both past, present and future). I have a very late scene written out already which explains pretty much everything, but I can't spoil it and I feel like a quivering leaf when i think about it (brain write faster pls i want to reach it soon --- but not so soon bc it's literally towards the end)

Arranged Heartbreak : pretty self-explanatory (i had thought the title to be lame at first and then I just... didn't care)

As for the other short fics, they're pretty simple titles tbh --- except for the list in my masterlist: I went all out and those don't even exist yet

38- What is your most self-indulgent posted story?

ILYET itself 🥲

She's my precious, my baby, my dearest love --- also, MC 2.0 herself is based on my OC (Lys Lovelace my dear) since I haven't written anything about her (appearance and stuff is still ambiguous as a true x reader story)

53- What is the most-used tag on your ao3?

I expected it to be something angsty : it's actually "fluff" :||

66- What’s a fun fact about ILYET?

Edit: one fun fact no one probably knows about is that the whole fanfiction was actually born from a teen wolf edit that ended on my tiktok fyp... yeahhh... and it's a stydia scene, when Lydia walks up to the group asking "where have you guys been?" and Stiles turns around, completely struck. And then idk why my brain just decided to take that scene and just... make the whole thing up into what it is now...

75- Is there a particular fic that readers gravitated towards that you didn’t expect?

Pretty much all of them -- I've never really had any online presence before tumblr so I wasn't really expecting anything when I first started writing, really :"")

I remember when i posted the prologue of ilyet: it was late at night, (friday night, about 11:45 pm -- i remember it like it was yesterday) so I just posted it, went to sleep and expected nothing in return -- then I woke up to like 300 notes in barely a few hours and I literally jumped out of my skin🥲🥲 those were the good times

But fr -- I expected Loved like to flop bc I literally word vomited it at 4 am, posted it without even rereading it, and then woke up to ppl liking it fr (I still hate it, don't doubt, but still...)

Does anyone else have this... thing where they just can't let go of their term papers/essays/ whatever. My term paper is due tmrw but I've basically been finished for at least the last 2 days and only been doing minor tweaks (which, you know, good that I caught them but they wouldn't have influence on my grade) but I just CAN'T SEND IT to my prof. So I've been running myself ragged to find more minor mistakes and changing wording in the first sentence. I hate this.

Love how exam time is both the most stressful time of the semester (and the year tbh) and the time when I take good care of myself. On one hand, I'm stressing out every time I spent 30 minutes not reading my notes, but I also do skincare and sleep 7+ hours a night (because I want to look and feel my best during the exams). I contain fucking multitudes

Love when a prof tells me he had higher expectations for me and makes me feel like getting a 2.0 (Grades go from 1.0 (best) to 6 (worst)) is a bad grade... like, I'm happy that you think well of my abilities, but I didn't need to hear that shit - especially when he follows up with a "Well, your term paper will be better, I'm sure"

i've been doin a bit of the good old plural system management, workin on updating the spreadsheets that hold the information for all our alters. rather boring tbh but i had been stalling it for weeks so i had to do it eventually. and then i saw you attempt to post those wallpapers and immediately get destroyed by tumblr again. i swear, this site is the worse

Cool! Actually, I’ve been working on a spreadsheet myself recently!! I was specifically told not to use a spreadsheet for it, but my final chemistry project is all neatly in my own, perfect lil excel sheet! Because deep down, my mind craves to be an accountant and I refuse to give in!

The rainwater in my town has hit the safe-to-drink box... once. in 14 days of measurements.

acid rain and climate change kiddos. real fun.

also I did a chart with it!!!!!
