Kaguya-sama fanbook gushing

TURNS OUT AKASAKA AKA WAS FASTER THAN ME AND MADE MY WORK ADVOCATING FOR THE ENDING WAY EASIER.

A Fanbook was released to celebrate the ending of the manga, featuring a short novel: "Ishigami Yu wants to gift". I'm translating it to portuguese with a friend and a friend is translating it to english.

And yes. We can basically infer a lot of the main plot of the manga was "cancelled" or cut short, and as for Ishimiko's "side B" - he's fully aware of their open plot threads, adresses them, confirms a LOT of takes we had about Ishigami/Ishimiko/Tsubame and drops a BANGER final line that basically confirms our wildest dreams of "Ishigami knows. He pretended not to see all this time".

I'M IN LOVE. IT'S PERFECT. Will elaborate later. Also, Ishigami's rants never get old - do understand, he's trash and I love him just the way he is. I'm giddy that I got his inner pov voice so close in my old fanfiction (should dump them to ao3 someday hehe)

it's the "wants to invite" chapter on my heart all over again. Trust the octopus man. I promise he did put all the love and care into his story I told you he did.

their final profiles are the most "vague" out of all characters, clearly hinting at a work in progress. And they are the cutest. I'll die for them.

I always feel like a keyboard smash in my heart about them because I love theeeeem. like the whole scene in enies lobby!!!! they didn't even know each other then and franky was out here convincing her to live.

and they're always complimenting each other!! they're so supportive I love it so much. I love how they can see past the facade of what they first put on when someone meets them and respect each others skills.

I also love how in the colour pages they're usually next to each other and god help me it's the one pairing in the strawhats I think oda would make canon if he hadn't said their romances for the strawhats was adventure or something but pls oda I need it.

god I wasn't expecting to love this ship as much as I did but they go through so much together in what little time they did have. like you'd expect in shounen anime the female characters would hate each other but the second they learn about each other they're so in tune and there for each other and the scene where vivi waits at her bed when nami is sick!!!!! how am I supposed to take that!!!

also even just in the last few chapters when they found out about vivi's dad and nami was just worried about her and wanted to go see her, it's clear they still have a connection and I wish we'd gotten something like they were still communicating. (in my heart they are...)

I would die for a reunion scene with them....
