yknow a moment from today that I feel is really under appreciated and kinda highlights the difference between the people q!Bad trusts and the people he doesn’t?
(this is about the characters obviously. You cannot make me use q! on long analysis posts. None of you can make me.)
Aypierre was showing Bad the room he used to capture and question Fred, and built into the only entry into the main room was an inventory scanner.
An inventory scanner - the thing Bad was hesitant to use to save Forever because he was scared of the islanders knowing of its existence and turning it against him. He did it anyway obviously because he cares about Forever but it’s clear he knows this is the one thing that could remove all his carefully built up protections in an instant. And the only way into the room was through it.
So Bad stops, of course, and Aypierre (who already walked through it first) notices and goes “I’ll just give you your items back, come through”
And Bad says “Ehhhh no, I…”
And Aypierre reassures him “You can come through. Don’t worry, don’t worry, don’t worry.
And Bad repeats “Ehhhh no…” And then “Forgive my paranoia, can you disable it? Or make an opening for me?” He asks it very politely too, as if he believes it’s a hard ask (it’s not).
And Aypierre does. That’s why I think this moment is underrated. Bad asks for forgiveness for his paranoia - a paranoia that has been built up and rewarded and reinforced by his experiences on the island - and yet Aypierre doesn’t treat it like a burden. He doesn’t complain about it, he doesn’t tell Bad he’s overreacting, and he certainly doesn’t try to guilt-trip or otherwise insist Bad go through when he’s clearly uncomfortable. He just… makes another opening, and Bad walks through that, and the moment of hesitance, of distrust, is left behind. Not just left behind, but accepted. From Bad’s perspective, Aypierre has essentially communicated that “I can see you don’t trust me fully, and that’s okay, I understand why. It’s not a big deal, and I can move on.”
And I think that acceptance is why Aypierre has managed to gain an impressive amount of Bad’s trust so much faster than other islanders. I think that’s why when he told Bad he put cameras in his house, Bad didn’t get upset.
A lot of islanders, even islanders that are Bad’s friends, would not have reacted the way Aypierre did to Bad not wanting to step through the inventory scanner. And it does make a difference.

Listen just hear me out
I love the idea of Rooster and Hangman being exes and then getting back together but the idea of them being exes and then being friends after the mission is fucking hilarious
Just them embarrassing each other because now they can talk about it and it’s not as tense as it was, casually mentioning shit they did when they were together
Bob: who the hell was snoring so loud last night?
Jake, without looking up from his phone: Rooster
All of them, staring at Jake:
Jake: what?
Jake, pointing at Rooster: you snore like a bitch, I kinda thought you were dying the first time I stayed at your place
—
Jake: I’m wild man, I’m an animal in bed
Bradley: shut the fuck up you like holding hands in bed
PLEASE ITS SO PERFECT

For this Bad Batch Eve, I have written a few Haikus.
Someone is missing
Echo get back on screen please
Legit, where is he?
Who is CX-2?
Tech, Cody, Soup Clone, Dogma?
When will answers come?????
We are all anxious
We are not ready at all
For the death of any
Except maybe Hemlock or Cid
Thank you and have a great Bad Batch Eve. My advice? Prepare for the worst because yeah not all of the boys are making it out alive by the finale. We have some time before the final episode, but just start preparing yourselves. Additionally, I’d like to say: Echo and Tech fans, stay strong I know you’re all probably screaming by now

(All talk about the characters not the ccs)
I’m finally watching bbh’s June 19th stream (day after Father’s Day) and he’s talking about removing everyone’s access to his base. I’ve seen people talking about how this could cause problems and lose him Forever and Bagerah’s trust but I think people - including Forever and Bagerah - are forgetting a crucial fact
Bbh is a single parent and has been from the start.
He has to be incredibly paranoid to keep Dapper safe. His paranoia is the only reason Dapper -and many of the other eggs - are still alive.
He can’t rely on other people to keep Dapper safe. He can’t tell Dapper to go live with another parent if his house is compromised. That’s why he has five different houses and keeps building more when too many people gain access.
I don’t think Forever or Bagerah have a right to complain about this considering they have 3/4 other parents/houses to keep their egg safe. They have a family structure that allows them a sense of safety that bbh has NEVER had.
Like yea, I understand why they would feel betrayed but from an objective pov, they have zero ground to stand on to protest because they have NO idea what bbh has gone through raising dapper alone, how could they? They have always had 3/4 other parents at their beck and call.
Trust doesn’t mean letting someone run rampantly through your house/safe space just because they feel entitled to it. Trust means having faith that if bbh is closing off his/Dapper’s house to you, he has a legitimate reason that doesn’t have anything to do with you personally.
Bbh has done so much for team friendship and taken down so many of his walls and boundaries for them that the fact THEY don’t have faith in him makes me sad. I trust team friendship and the q-ommunication smp to work everything out but I just hope Bagerah and Forever come to respect bbh’s boundaries a bit more :D

help i was just stimming a lot at dinner and my mom said “what are you doing? Are you slowly turning into one of those people … that doesn’t fit in with society?” And i was like what do you mean???? And she didn’t answer. I know i’ve been stimming and avoiding eye contact a lot more in the past year, but that’s only because i really learned what autism was in the past year and that it was okay to stim! And she didn’t know that, but was she talking about autism? I’m so confused and freaked out. Oh no.

Playing Tales of Symphonia is like “Noooo, I can’t believe that the party member who has red hair, a name that ends in -os, is a suicidal mage knight, and replaced the party member who betrayed us actually betrayed us 🥺🥺🥺.”
