if I am doing something somewhere in the house or yard that is not dog related (these are fake activities) Glimmer will come and try to entice me into a dog related activity to do instead, and if I ignore her, she will begin to do what I have come to think of as Dog Infomercials. she will go get a favorite toy and bring it to me and begin MELODRAMATICALLY playing with it by herself in a really exaggerated way, then she will periodically pause and look at me to see if I have noticed how much FUN she is having with WUBBA(TM) and how much fun I COULD BE having with WUBBA(TM) if only I would CALL THIS TOLL FREE NUMBER NOW 👀👀👀👀

The woman thought on this a moment and replied: “But even when they return, they are never quite how they were, the light has moved, be it ever so slightly, and if nothing else your eyes have changed, your mind that sees them is changed too.” The proud warrior wiped the tears from her eye. “So, the Hunter is a new friend when he returns again to greet you.”

“And yet you greet him again, not for the first time.” The satyr said, as she tried to finish this thought before she cried again. “So you can take comfort that he shall return, with some new gift perhaps you knew not of before.” The sweet satyr took her lover by the face and kissed her forehead softly in farewell.

One thing I like about Sorawo's character is that she is a obviously likes girls and knows it (or at the very least, obviously likes Toriko and knows it), no one goes around describing someone's physical features as rapturously as Sorawo describes Toriko's and thinking things like "if she keeps casually telling me she loves me I'm not going to last" without liking that person in that way.

But when Toriko brings up having two moms Sorawo's initial reaction is "Huh? That's CrAzY" not because she actually thinks it is - she's smart and spends absurd amounts of time online, probably mostly with other Weirdos like her - but because it's a wall she puts up to buy herself some time because she doesn't want to deal with her own feelings on the matter.

It's an interesting twist on "but we're both girls" and is a moment that really gives some insight into just how wary Sorawo is about letting herself fully trust people.
