Oh wow there’s a lot more of you here than last time. Okay,
Hello! My name is Bard! That me (at my admin job and finally graduated woohoo!) vvv
Tumblr media
It’s been a while since I’ve written for or gushed about Osomatsu-san, but I keep thinking about those neets and I wanna slowly get back into the fandom. Definitely might rewatch all the seasons. I’m a Karamatsu girl through & through though I do so love me some Ichimatsu & Jyushimatsu from time to time.
My askbox is always open & I’m going to make an attempt to try and start writing again 🥹 I do write NSFW so if you are under 18, please kindly, go away lol.
It’s nice to meet you, new faces. ♥️

*Tw:Vent about toxicity in relation to disliking characters (idk if this explains it well, but it's the best I can think of-)*
I'm so tired of people going into places where fans talk about things they like just so they can hate on them. Cool, you don't like this anime character; just go to another community where they focus on the one you DO like. You don't like this anime; that doesn't give you the right to shame people who do, or talk bad about it in a place you know is majority people who Do like it. You don't like this ship; then look at art of the ships you do like.
I'm tired of trying to have a good day, scrolling through art and memes on pinterest and seeing the top comment be things like "I hate this character/anime/ship but the art is good." That doesn't have the effect you think it has. Especially if you're saying it to the artist directly; FYI we don't care?? Like, cool you don't like our comfort character that we draw a lot because it makes us feel happier. You don't have to tell us? Hello???
It's so annoying and so negative and I see it a lot in communities like Tokyo Revengers. It's cool to like and dislike characters, but don't go to artwork that someone made for a character THEY like that you happen to dislike and start saying bad things about them. It's the equivalent of going up to a cosplayer and saying "I don't like the character you're cosplaying, but you look cool anyway."
WE. DONT. CARE.
I'm sorry this is out of pocket and all over the place, but I'm just annoyed that I have to see all of the negativity all the time.
I'm gonna talk about an example following the Tokyo Revengers thing:
My comfort character is Mikey for many reasons. I'm not an "apologist" or whatever, I just think his character is interesting and he reminds me of a very close friend which gives me a sense of comfort and safety. I understand he's done a lot of bad shit, but I like him anyway. Similar to how people know that Dabi or Shigaraki from MHA have done a lot of bad shit, but they still like them anyway (myself included).
I look at art of Mikey a lot, just as a way of relaxing and studying the different styles. I consume a lot of content of him as my comfort character. So when I stumble upon an angst piece and see all of the comments are things like "he's irredeemable and should just die" or "I hate Mikey he shouldn't even exist anymore" it fucks me up.
I'm not saying people AREN'T allowed to have these opinions, they're entire fine and justified I totally get where they're coming from, I'm just saying that it's really fucked to see that on a fan work of the character.
Anyway idk if any of that made sense but it's just really been bothering me. I just don't understand how people can go from saying it's okay to like villain characters but then start slandering people who like a villain character they don't, because that's something I also see a lot.
This was very random and I'm sorry about that, I hope it didn't bum anyone out though-
