My idea for this was that-

Lost Kin was once the guard of the monarch wings, and would challenge the other abandoned vessels to see who was worthy to collect it.

Ghost (before they left Hallownest) challenged them and won, but didn't care for the wings, leaving behind Broken Vessel, who was then eventually corrupted by the infection.

After being defeated Broken refused to let any vessel near the wings, and once corrupted, started patrolling the area for any stray's. The younger vessels where scared of Broken, and would 'play' hide and seek to avoid them.

* This was based on a song and the 80s-esc looped image that was with it >w<

** I kinda wanna redraw this eventually, now that I have a better grasp on how to effectively style swap it would look a lot less dry. I’ve also just gotten a lot better at drawing Broken Vessel (based off of this style), you’ll be seeing those doodles eventually úwù

currently reading Second in the Matthew Swift series, The Midnight Mayor by Kate Griffin. am patiently taking note of any imagery that I can turn into a clay sculpture or put on a mug. (The brand on the hand cross-within-a-cross is an obvious contender, but I prefer to avoid iconography that might reference a real-world non-MSwift thing.)

last song god neon / god neon knows ... the grass is always greener but the city's got a hold on me. Something tickled a brain neuron or two a few weeks back and I went looking for a MSwift playlist, and it turned out @chimaerakitten had already picked out some BANGERS. And did the playlist cover design too, I think? Another incredible graphic design that I want to put on a mug or maybe a shotglass.

last series been making my way through the Mushishi series and Cowboy Bebop with my anime watch buddies :3 they're both very episodic fare but otherwise, as expected, vastly different in tone. Some of Cowboy Bebop's jokier episodes weird me out but the one with the Actual Cowboy (really a rich man playing at danger) did genuinely make me laugh. I've otherwise been enjoying the cultural touchstone for Space Heists; it makes me nostalgic for running forged in the dark games.

last movie Everything Everywhere All At Once, second watch-through with my sister and the openness of the ending struck me as much bleaker this time. Like damn, Evelyn's really gonna be stuck with cosmic ADHD for the rest of her forseeable future, huh.

currently working on god what am I not working on. It's easiest to talk about my clay projects: an egg-shaped rattle that I still need to cut open and fill with beads and finish trimming, six slab-built mug forms that need bottoms and handles and underglazing (three of them are spoken for), a rocket ship sculpture that keeps getting more complicated the more I mess with the project (I added a fucking removable bottom compartment like an idiot and i KEEP forgetting to check if my studio has a spirit level I can use when I go to add the fins/leg stands!! ugh), a big cup and a little cup that need glazing, a teddy bear piggy bank that needs two more layers of glaze and to buy a cork to fit into his top hat. This doesn't include pieces that I recently finished and just need to pick up from the kiln, pieces that I'm in the process of mailing (I swear they're getting mailed out soon i PROMISE) or pieces in the planning stage. whew.

this doesn't include my writing projects either, lmao. mother fuck there's not enough time in the day

Skulk acts towards lifeblood curiously..

It may leave it be, though it mostly tends to end up leaching off of it -sometimes accidentally killing it.

It eventually ends up being a symbiotically neutral relationship.

The skulk leaches off of the life force of the lifeblood stalks, and the lifeblood gains its life force from the souls that the skulk catalysts harvest. Overall they simply cancel each other out, however under these circumstances they would both live much longer (avoiding wilting from starvation which may be common under certain circumstances)

Both plants are attracted to the other, often growing close by or next to each other. Lifeblood seeds sometimes sleep underneath or within the mangled branches of the skulk roots and stalks, leading to lifeblood growing around the skulk.

Abyssal Wardens view:

Since it’s a plant the Warden doesn’t notice often, however the stalks can rustle around a lot, which may gain its attention; otherwise the Warden leaves it for the skulk to mess with.

Once the skulk establishes its symbiotic relationship with the lifeblood however, it may start harvesting it for itself.

The lifeblood butterflies are far too difficult for the warden to catch regularly, so it tries to ignore them. The lifeblood seeds on the other hand are a bit easier to catch considering that they’re grounded and make a lot more noise, but they are quite evasive, often leading the Warden on wild goose chases, overall obnoxious to the point the Warden gives up on chasing them.

Bit of context: Blue is a blind vessel, so they throw a bell or two in front of themselves to listen for, they just chase the sound around when they wish to roam.

** I still quite like these! Especially the style of the last one, it's adorable and looks like a childrens book type aesthetic uwu

** It's kinda interesting that the linework style of these is actually closer to my lineflow now than what it was when I first made these, guess what goes around comes around huh x3

**** Don't mind me as I update my other posts to have the :readmore: thingy, I kinda don't want to tamper them but they sorta look out of place now and it's kinda bothering me lol

** I do really want to start the comic soon, I just need to work out the beginning of it and hopefully it would flow from there

Moe Sketch Ref

-You’ll be seeing him around lot

Moe is probably my most complex character tbh

Mostly in lore an stuffs, though he also has a sorta complex morality owo

So here's a short lore bit-

Moe is an artificial Idkin {IDK being a substance that makes up the Idkin species, a MC original species I made that has an over abundance of lore to be explained eventually} construct built using parts from salvaged command block scraps, made to resemble an eye of ender.

He was built by Ms. Mood, who was originally going to use it as a spy device until it unexpectedly gained sentience.

Moe has multiple forms, being various models, which he can switch between on command.

Moe is able to teleport between alternate universes (Non-frequently, sometimes on accident)

(Much more to be explained at some point)

* I literally made this lad purely with the pocket sized partner idea in mind x3

** This is still a valid ref even after all this time, I haven’t changed his design at all lol (to be fair tho he is just an eyeball). But I have made new designs for him -new models, that are just additions to this design (independent models separated from the original model -this one), so this design and model is still in use.

Wake Up Moe

Moe's been in sleep mode for months and Elara has had enough, she looks through Queen Mura's 'instruction manual' for what to do about it, it just says to shake him until he wakes up.

Abyssal Shriek To Silent Void

-Warden of the deep

This was made for a HollowKnight x Minecraft crossover contest on the HK amino!

* -I won that contest with an overly long post, three wikis, and unnecessarily complex lore x3

* Some lore of which I’ll copy here:

The Abyssal Warden is the warden of the Deep Calm -a biome located below the Abyss, which at some point started leaking void from cracks in the ceiling, and ever since then the Warden has had to do as much as it can to protect it from being completely taken over and flooded by the Abyss above.

Along with the void flowing down also came shades and vessels -not many, only a few- but still enough to make the warden take action. It 'destroys' them one by one, but each shade became apart of the Warden itself. Thankfully it's a mostly peaceful relationship, it helps the Warden gain some control of the Void, taming it, calming it, and bringing back the sanctuary of the Calm.

At some point the Warden stopped fighting the Vessels and just started shoving them into it's gut, knowing they can't escape. The vessel masks create a cluttered ribcage around the shades, whether that is to protect the shades or trap them is unknown.

** This piece was such a learning curve for me. This was my first full drawing on procreate with an entire fully fleshed out background (I did finish one before this but it ended up being mostly rushed and experimental), and was what motivated me to get better and especially more efficient at those!

* For context sake, I do have a lot of lore and world building that goes into my fan stories and FCs (fan OCs) and I really don’t even know where to start tbh, so if anyone has any questions about it feel free to ask! I’ve come here to share my ideas n’ such so I hope others will engage as well ye!! ^w^ [Pls no off-topic/IRL/personal questions, as I will not be answering them].Constructive criticism is also welcome! Make sure it’s actually constructive though lol >~<

* Here is a very quick and watered down rundown of my fan stories if anyone is interested (I do plan on making comics and fan fiction of them -some of which I already kinda have, and posting lots of lore stuff lol)—

HollowKnight Cosmic: from the kingdom StarFall -or shalt I say SmallFall, comes a bright and vibrant Idkin vessel, whom gets assigned a mission from the queen to travel to the ends of the earth to find someone or something, whilst documenting the land and exploring everything she comes across. (Is also sorta a Minecraft crossover too, closely connected with MC StarFall mentioned below)

Minecraft StarFall: Set in a realm where the world is semi-sentient and every update is an attempt to halt the player’s attempts at breaking nature’s balance, this realm has destroyed itself several times. [Currently mostly character and past lore, a new species, randomness etc, a WIP if you will, but still a ton of lore.]

Pokémon Avalanche: disconnected from the other stories, this follows the life of an intelligent small gengar after his trainer passes, leading him to adventure and survive on his own after rejecting the idea of finding another trainer. (Lots of ghost Pokémon, very PMD style)
