COLORS: Each flannel is unique, and no two shirts are going to look exactly alike. Colors are sent at random. Because the colors often change throughout the bleaching process, I cannot take specific color requests for these shirts.
CONDITION: All of our flannel shirts are brand new and washed twiced.
Care instructions: Turn item inside out, machine wash cold, no bleach, no softener. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Air dry is recommended.
Due to different picture lighting settings the actual color might vary a bit from the pictures.

36. The Dormant Forge (chapter 1 - Dream Ticket 1/5 ) part 8. Stories of Dreams.

When Regina was little, her mother sat her down and dressed her in the knitted clothes her father made. Her mother sang in Modern Francian, and played orchestral music on the radio. Jupiter found the North Central frequency, to hear news about her homeland. Sometimes they listed names, and it looked like her mother was worried. Reggie hated it. But she knew if she waited long enough, the radio would turn off; And she’d get to play with grandma, in grandpa’s enchanted garden. He died before Regina’s birth, but grandma said his whimsy still lived there. There was a Calci Tree, of lilac petals and birch bark, that granted her wishes. No matter how many times Regina was warned about fey and wizards, she kept idolizing them. Kept wishing she’d study the fantastical, and someday have her own magnificent abode.
When Reggie was older, she found her cousin Morgan’s books. He left all sorts of old books at grandmas. Regina liked the ones on magic crafting, written by someone named Helrem Monafyra. He called himself a Warlock. It inspired her to secretly make her first enchanted contraption: A deep-fryer, that imbued love into the oil. It cooked chips, to tempt gnomes into tending grandpa’s garden at night.
Years later, when Regina’s family adopted her cousin, she was excited; She remembered Morgan playing in the garden too, when they were little. Now they got to go to the magic academy together. Thing’s only got better when he identified her as a fellow mage. Forging legendary blades, could now become a reality. Furthermore, Morgan lent Reggie even more ancient Warlock journals; More recipes for fantastical creations.
In fifth year, Reggie wanted to plan her future; She realized she would need a forge to keep making wonders. Warlocks are rare, and required workshops within mystical areas. Dragon or fairy fire would be abundant, along with other gifts from fey. With such a place, Warlocks could make anything, mundane or magic.
“Morgan, is there an abandoned magic forest with a forge? You know about stuff like that, right?” Reggie asked at dinner. Her parents slouched; Their little girl confirmed she intended to fly the coop post-graduation. Morgan however, perked up.
“Do you remember Hawkhaven in the Northlands? It’s a volcanic forge of fire fey. You met a Vulcanic nymph from there last year. It was Helrem’s forge centuries ago. The cradle of wands and wizardry, if you will. But I’m pretty sure it hasn’t had a mage since. After Common-Folk assumed they eradicated mages, they made a mining town there. Diamonds or opal I think.” Morgan went on. Reggie beamed at the thought; Her cousin never disappointed.
“I want to go there! That sounds perfect for crafting wicked gear!”
“You know you can also make regular wands, special materials, jewelry, textiles, and so on, right? Like, you don’t have to only make swords. If you specialize in something special, you might get more commissions and have fun.” Morgan advised. Regina rolled her eyes. Having obtained the power of a Warlock, it would be silly to squander such talents on things as trivial as wands or peculiar trinkets. But then again, she’d made a neckpiece of thorns to keep her True Love safe.
Some don’t need True Love’s Spell for a Happily Ever After. But if they do get one, assuming they are grown, they can solidify love’s spell. Their one-and-only, could be of a differing gender, race, or even fey. The prized spells of love, made by the human heart, can burn slowly or spark instantly. In third year, Morgan led Regina to the Stone Kingdom; Her first time in The Shadow Veil. She was gifted the dazzling trillion cut princess; And found herself yearning for nothing else. Wyverndor’s human form, smile, and sparkle, consumed Regina’s desires; Her True Love, a literal treasure. Reggie’s fortune doubled when Wyvern agreed to come Hawkhaven. Inspired by her muse, Reggie was crafting jewellery that disguised people, and the collar of bronze thorns, that held her princess close; Their love protecting each other. Regina then made forging tools, and raised her grades; Determined to someday hold Wyvern before a crucible’s glow.
One day, during final year, Regina sat in a gown on a hospital bed. Her IV was sore, and her mother sat next to her; Singing the once loathsome tunes, that now provided comforting nostalgia. Regina seemed to have bloomed late, but in reality, she had the same condition as her aunt Ivthya. She woke drenched in blood that very mourning. Now in the ER, the doctor said the ultrasound was bad, and bloodwork worse. She recommended a hysterectomy; But Regina wanted her doors open, even thought she never thought about children. It bothered her to have something so unexpected effect her imagined future. Like she feared it could happen again. Dreams she never had, could disappear.
Regina asked to be left alone, clutching Wyverndor in her palm. The perfect crystal, and trustworthy partner. Neither Icthya, her mother, or charming father, were comforting enough.
It’s ok, Reggie said to herself, ‘this doesn’t really affect my goals. Maybe I won’t want children. Besides, I’m still young; I can still have a Happily Ever After, without a ‘perfect’ life. Most people do.’
Despite her denial, it haunted Reggie up till graduation. Infertility is isolating, when everyone else nears that milestone. Pointless envy. An un-kickable woe. For Regina, a bad omen, that made her want to leave home even more.
Once school was completed, and summer came, Regina left for Hawkhaven. Her family cried, and looked like they would beg her to stay. Reggie held onto a passport, passion, and youthful disregard for consequences. Her determination hung by a thread. Thirsting for certainty and familiarity, Reggie wanted to travel via Shadow Veil; Distances warp and shorten in the ether. All enchanted places bloom from gates made by mages; And thus, all connected by the Shadow Veil. However, when Reggie went to Tiberius Gate, to use its doors to the Kingdoms of Fey, Morgan pulled her aside.
“Reggie, what are your doing? The forge’s gate is closed. It’s likely even the fey can’t use it, and are trapped. You’ll need to go dark to open it first.” He explained.
“Good thing I’m practised at going dark; I no longer get sick from it! Wait. How do you know the gate is closed?” Regina asked.
“It wasn’t glowing when I travelled the Shadow Veil, and met the Beast Kings. The platforms of gates back to the Day Veil, have faintly glowing runes. Remember when we got Wyverndor? The Stone Gate platform was glowing blue, because Stone Queen Io was keeping it open.”
“Neat. So where in the Shadow Veil is Hawkhaven gate? So, I know where to go.”
“Um, it’s in the soft mountains between the Dragon and Rat Kingdoms. If a mage doesn’t specify where in the ether the gate opens, it will be located where the veils overlap.”
“Thanks, Morgan!” Regina said, heading out. “I’ll see you later!”
“Wait! You weren’t listening! The gate is closed; You can’t go through it. You have to physically go there in the Day Veil, and open it in person. You’ll need to take the train like everyone else, and do it the hard way, Reggie.”
“Are you sure? Trust me, it’ll work.” Regina bargained.
“Are you stupid? Trust me, I’m a Seer.”

Finale / Misc Boxbot and Voxman family Headcanons
First, some assorted ones based off Thank You for Watching the Show:
-Robbie and Sara are totally Boxman's grandkids, and he and PV spoil the shit out of them whenever they visit, but no single one of the gen 1 Boxbots is their parent -- all six contributed to their design, so the gen 2 bots consider them all combination moms/dads and aunts/uncles. Though, Robbie tends to stick closest to Jethro and Raymond (especially Ray, he really looks up to him!), and Sara favors Ernesto and Shannon.
-The two of them really only fight as product tests, or for fun/combat training alongside the plaza crew -- Ernesto couldn't care less about the plaza's existence now that Boxman's gone. They're even friends with the new KO's Bodega employees during their off-hours! Though, whenever their grandpas visit, the two will go right into Serious Mode and try to wreck the place for real, to try and impress them.
-Darrell was the only robot that actually moved out after the finale, the rest all still live at Boxmore, even if they no longer work there. With his business skills, he's already the most successful evil farmer (also, like, the only evil farmer, but whatever) in the Neutral Zone, and his family visits him every other weekend.
-He did get upgraded to a robo-young adult, so he could live on his own, but it's not too noticeable. The only real differences are that he’s just a few inches taller, and now draws with colored pencils as well as crayons.
-He also took in Raymond's pet chickens.
-The bots still frequent the plaza as customers rather than just attackers now, and sometimes hang out with Enid, Rad, the backup Bodega crew, Dendy, and on occasion KO. Raymond designs fashions for Drupe in between his band's practice sessions, and if Mr Logic gets really busy Shannon sends some of her audience members to help him out. And, of course, Mikayla's even got a drink named after her at the cat cafe, which she stops in to order whenever she misses her feline friends (especially Teacup)!
-All those portraits, the Jethro mug, and the kitten model Mikayla that Boxman has in his house were Shucksgiving presents, as was Peej's book. PV knocked on the door right after the kids left from celebrating with him, figuring it would be as good a time as any to finally give him that cake.
-Jethro's actually taken up gardening, and grows flowers around the factory, though they tend to die pretty fast in the windowless hallways. He once tried to use some of Venomous' leftover gear in the labs in order to engineer them to need less sunlight, and the results were...tentacle-y.
-Boxman and Mr Logic are best friends again. ;v; Even if they don't often agree on things, and definitely don't work together anymore, Boxy regularly shows up at Logic's barbershop to get his hair cut and chat, and keeps him in the loop on everything that goes on with the rest of his family.
-When PV and Fink attacked the plaza in their bio-mech suits after returning to Earth, it wasn't actually the bodega employees who defeated them, but Carol, who pretty much just took one look out the window at the fight, said "Oh HECK no," and MESSED HIM UP. Fink stayed at Boxmore while he recovered in the hospital!
And now, some older, slightly weirder heacanons that I never really bothered to post:
-Doctor Weakpoint and Lord Boxman are mother and son. As in, yes, this person right here:
is the kinda-joke villain who kept sending robots to destroy POINT, even after some of its original members left. I also really like @the-golden-ghost's theory about Boxy being an ex-minion, so I think a lot of the other villains' disdain for him comes not just from him being a joke villain, but also a former HENCHMAN to a joke villain. Plus, she was probably very busy coming up with plans to destroy POINT every single day (and rebuilding Steamborg after he got trashed), hence Boxy taking himself go-karting for each of his birthdays, and eventually leaving to become a more serious villain on his own.
-He still calls her sometimes, and leaves lots of voicemail about how things are going at Boxmore, but she never answers or calls him back. ;-; She does send the kids birthday cards and candy, though, and they love their grandma a lot even if they've never been able to meet her.
-Fink did go to KO's school, like in the episode we were supposed to get. But she was in class 6-11B, rather than 6-11A like KO and Dendy, and they just never ran into her.
-Kinda dark one, if he gets hungry enough, Darrell has no problem with trying to hunt down and eat other robots, particularly his own clones (since it's not like there's ever a shortage of him around, plus their brains are extra tasty). Don't let him skip a meal, ever, and if you do...keep an eye on the vents.
-The entrance to Shadowy Figure's lair in Professor Venomous' house was literally just kept hidden under a rug. He also sometimes accidentally left glorbs or his scarf around the house, since sometimes he would lose control and start to shift back to PV unexpectedly. The only reason PV never noticed is because he's just THAT MUCH of a dumbass sometimes.
-I see that the fandom's caught on to the idea of Laserblast having a crush on Boxman long before even becoming a villain, and I LOVE it, but I raise you this: Boxman had a huge crush on Laserblast as well when he was first starting out with villainy. Attacking POINT with that junkfish cake may or may not have been one of his many excuses to see Laser again, and he even got some inspiration to work on laser weapons for his own creations from him.
-Boxman already knew who PV was LONG before the man finally decided to tell him about his backstory, because of this.
-Alternatively, the reason Boxy became a supervillain and tried to attack POINT in the first place? Because Laserblast snubbed him for a date, solely due to the whole "heroes shouldn't date villains" thing.
-Mikayla’s head literally was prototyped using one of Boxman’s old guitars. He doesn’t know how to play, like his sons, he just owned it to look cool.
-There was a short period of time, like three-four months, between Boxmore's completion and Lakewood Plaza Turbo's construction, in which Lad Boxman and Mr Logic actually did attack POINT and do petty villainy, in addition to their new manufacturing jobs. Logic was the brains, coming up with lots of schemes and handling all the logistics, and Boxman was the brawn, putting together new robots to fit their needs and carrying out the actual operations. Needless to say, NONE of their efforts were successful, or even memorable, as they were pretty easily outclassed by other, more established villains.
-Jethro's arms and legs have been there from the beginning, and were supposed to be for an upgrade that Boxman never actually implemented. He just didn't give enough of a shit to ever remove them from production.
-Leggy Jethro is his real mind, and is what runs underneath the more basic programming in the rest of his hivemind. He just never had the ability to actually come out and express himself, without the extra glorbs' energy. The other Jethros know they're him deep down but aren't able to fully understand why they feel...different. Not themselves. Hence, why they keep trying to assure themselves and others that they ARE Jethro...

Magic Made By Hand
One of the many unique benefits of being a part of The Jewel Riders Archive is discovering never before seen products and hearing stories about the making of one of our favorite series! An aspect of our roles that we love is having the opportunity to interact with the fandom! We absolutely love to hear stories about childhood memories or why you love Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders. A perfect blend of all of these are the recent interviews we've been so privileged to have completed with Greg Autore, artistic director for the show. His insight has been instrumental in helping us to better shape the story of the creation of Jewel Riders, and to share with you so many stories and products of toys and ideas that never came to fruition! We asked you, and hopefully those never before released images jogged your memory of the toys you may have made in your youth. RONNIE: I think a toy that everyone seems to have made were the Enchanted Jewels. Who didn't want at jewel?! But it was the manner in which each of you designed and crafted your unique magical jewel that truly inspires us. I want to tell you the story behind my set of jewels. You can learn more about my story in our about page, but for now let's talk about the wonderful memories I have of my grandpa and I. Grandpa Joe was always keeping busy! I think it was more of a retreat from Grandma, but you would often find him in his work garage outside. Inside the garage there was a treasure trove of artistic pieces that he crafted by hand. He loved to paint by number, and he would make wooden frames to showcase the artwork. It was combining the paint by number and the woodcarving that gave me the idea of how to create the jewel set. One summer we started with the basic Enchanted Jewels – Sun Stone, Moon Stone, and Heart Stone... and it just grew from there! I first used either a trading card or a still image from the series to draw out what the jewel looked like. I transferred my illustration onto a block of wood. Grandpa took the piece of wood and delicately, and in the instance of the snowflake and some others, very intricately cut out the shape. Then using the vast selection of acrylic paints, I painted each Jewel to be almost the exact color from the show. To the Enchanted Jewels, I used a glitter paint coating to add an extra layer of "magic" to the jewel. And we didn't stop with the Enchanted Jewels, or even the Crown Jewels or Wizard Jewels! Grandpa even helped me make Merlin's staff and the One Jewel! We never did make a Jewel Box though… I wanted to. Grandpa also helped me make a wooden Crystal Carriage for my favorite Tamara doll. He measured the dolls to ensure that they would fit inside of the carriage, we designed a heart door and heart finial for the top of the carriage. And from mom's sewing bin, I found red cloth to use as curtains. I used Ninjara, the white snow leopard from the Tenko and the Guardians of the Magic doll line, to pull the carriage in place of the bear. It definitely pales in comparison to the costumes I made when I was older and learned how to sew. You don't have to, but it would be cool to see them next to each other since that was probably the first costume I've ever made, and I did a lot more since then and have gotten much better at it. I can’t say for certain that we Mustachians need perfect honesty: I’d be lying to you. But if we’re to proceed with the utmost efficiency, we’re going to have to at least cut the crap out of our own lives when we look in the mirror and get down to business.
Do you drive a car? I do. Do you lie to yourself about how much the use of that car costs? I used to.
The Toque family makes an annual visit to Grandpa and Grandma Toque every summer, a family reunion of sorts to meet up with the entire Toque clan. Mrs. Toque and I would always record this journey, 600km in each direction, at a reasonable cost of about $100: billing the whole thing to ourselves as if it were simply the cost of gas.
We’ve made this journey for 18 years, every summer we’ve been married and the one before that, and sometimes more than once per year. To add to the issue, before we’d even met, I’d make that 1200 km round trip several times a year in a small sports car with at most one passenger, always billing it in my head as the price of gas.
I would lie to myself, basically. Even while train rides made themselves available, at something like $70 or so round trip, I’d take my own car because, “Hey, it’s same price, right? Plus, I’d have my car with me when I get there.”
Never mind that the Toque grandparents live within walking distance to everything and had extra space in their car for events farther away. No, I took my turbo-charged sports car on that long journey, never really accounting for the insurance, maintenance and depreciation it cost me.
Nowadays, having chosen the career Software Engineer over Professional Race Car Driver, I got rid of the sports beast and drive a tidy little Nissan Versa. It only burns through my cash at about 20 cents per km. Despite this savings, this past summer, we took the train on our annual sojourn.
First of all, I have to say, “Holy shit! Trains are awesome.”
If we book our train seats all at once, Mrs. Toque and I and get two comfy seats facing our two children. Then, like a particularly fast cloud, we get to drift lazily past all of the highways we’d normally find ourselves jammed up in. I calculate many tens of dollars of benefits associated with the absence of swearing at stupid drivers and worrying about getting ourselves in another highway collision requiring the procurement of a new car.
In my sports car days, my racing vehicle must have burned through at least 40 cents per km, some $500 per round trip, when a VIA train ride would have cost a tiny fraction of that for a single person. Nowadays, with four seats purchased for the entire Toque family, the cost of the equivalent train ride runs up to $360, exactly the cost of taking an average 30 cents/km car on the same trip.
But here’s the thing: the cost of the train ride is honest. Our consumption stares at us, right there when we hand our credit card information over and click “Proceed with Order”. Yes, nowadays we drive a cheaper car. But taking a car because it’s cheaper is still lying to ourselves. I feel confident, mind you, that if we were to find a way to quantify the damage exhaust fumes do and the subsidies that go into highways versus railroads, we would discover that the train ride costs a lot less.

By putting your consumption out there where you can’t hide it, where you have completely honesty, you’ll find yourself getting richer. If, when I’d driven an Eagle Talon TSi, I’d been honest with myself, I’d have saved over a thousand dollars in wear and tear on my car every year.
Moving on, I’d like to give one more example.
A few years back, Mrs. Toque had lamented that many of the children’s Lego constructions had grown dusty. Since the mini Toques wanted to keep many of their toys in the fully assembled state for playing purposes, they would store their toys on dresser tops and inside bookshelves. Layers of dust had accumulated and become unsightly. Now, you might begin to wonder, how many Lego sets are we talking? Figure for a pair of boys, 9 and 11 years of age, receiving a Lego set for each birthday and Christmas since they turned 4 or so. Add in there Mr. Toque’s own building block stash from his own childhood, and we have a lot of the magical clicky-blocks hanging around.
Mrs. Toque wisely proposed the purchasing of a set of simple glass cabinets, which the children could easily operate to retrieve their toys, but would encourage them to “put things away”, and also keep dust from accumulating on them in an unsightly fashion. As a side note, many of these cabinets can be found cheap, but slightly used, over the Internet.
What does this have to do with Conspicuous Consumption? Behold the image.
This is going to hurt my Frugal cred, I know.
We’ve discovered a delightful side effect of these cabinets, and thus I’m writing to you about it. Whenever the children show interest in acquiring new toys with their allowance, we take a moment and pause in front of the glass cabinets to look at all of the toys currently available. Are you certain this new toy is significantly different from the toys you have here? Isn’t such-and-such just a re-paint of so-and-so? Is the new toy going to increase your happiness enough that it’s worth the allowance money you’ll use up?
Like many other money-related exercises, the goal is to build habits in our children that will serve them for life by preventing them from becoming Clown Consumers looking for happiness at the far end of their credit cards’ limits.

It’s not fool proof, mind you. Allowance still flows into toys, but even the younger of the two brothers, at nine years, shows a lot more conscientiousness about it. He has since built a fleet of his own creations, rather than relying on the official designs, and he spends a bit of time disassembling the formal constructions in order to harvest pieces from them.

Going 1 size up works well for a baggy/oversized fit. Women's or Children's Specific sizing will be noted on the photo/variation options selected.
FABRIC: All these shirts are made of cotton or a cotton/poly blend. Measurements and thickness vary slightly by brand.
COLORS: Each flannel is unique, and no two shirts are going to look exactly alike. Colors are sent at random. Because the colors often change throughout the bleaching process, I cannot take specific color requests for these shirts.
CONDITION: All of our flannel shirts are brand new and washed twiced.
Care instructions: Turn item inside out, machine wash cold, no bleach, no softener. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Air dry is recommended.
Due to different picture lighting settings the actual color might vary a bit from the pictures.
Current Turnaround Time due to upcoming Holidays - 1-5 Business Days. This listing is for a one-of-a-kind bleached "Johnny Cash Man In Black" button down flannel shirt.

No two shirts will ever be exactly alike so please aware and embrace the differences. All shirts are carefully curated, hand-dyed, and re-purposed so that each shirt is going to be different from the next in terms of color and plaid print.
SIZING: These shirts vary, many are unisex and come in men's sizing. They can be worn by both men & women. Ordering your normal t-shirt size is recommended for a regular fit. Going 1 size up works well for a baggy/oversized fit. Women's or Children's Specific sizing will be noted on the photo/variation options selected.
FABRIC: All these shirts are made of cotton or a cotton/poly blend. Measurements and thickness vary slightly by brand.
COLORS: Each flannel is unique, and no two shirts are going to look exactly alike. Colors are sent at random. Because the colors often change throughout the bleaching process, I cannot take specific color requests for these shirts.
CONDITION: All of our flannel shirts are brand new and washed twiced.
Care instructions: Turn item inside out, machine wash cold, no bleach, no softener. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Air dry is recommended.
Due to different picture lighting settings the actual color might vary a bit from the pictures.
Current Turnaround Time due to upcoming Holidays - 1-5 Business Days. While we always use priority shipping options, once shipped we cannot guarantee delivery due to the backlog current being experienced USPS/UPS/FedEx. If you have a strict deadline, please message me when ordering so that I can note any rush requests. Ownership of packages turned over to USPS transfers to the Buyer.
