i watched this beautiful film called Gaza Surf Club tonight at a film festival. it talks about surfing in Gaza, the humiliating obstacles one must face under occupation, fishing, building a community of youth surfers from Gaza, how women are excluded from surfing once they reach an "age" etc etc. watch this!!!!

I highly recommend the documentary Gaza Surf Club directed by Philip Gnadt. It's a film about a group of surfers living and surfing in the Gaza Strip. It's told with a great deal of compassion and driven by a genuine interest in the people themselves. It also never tries to overextend itself or impose a larger meaning, it's just a humane portrait driven by genuine curiosity on the part of the director.

#also the director is a really thoughtful person who really considered the ethics of making a film like this #Gaza surf club #film recommendation
