My Transformers Fancon: The Story, part IV
Shockwave quickly takes stock of the situation and comes up with a plan. Not being one for subtlety, said plan is fairly direct; she orders Shrapnel, Kickback, and Bombshell to produce a small army of Insecticlones. After Shrap, 'Shell, and 'Back have recovered (there's a reason they don't spawn clones willy-nilly; it takes a lot out of 'em), she dispatches said Insecticlones to  attack the Ark. When this force is defeated, she immediately sends the Gaiacons to make an attack. When they too are defeated, she sends the Insecticons. Tarantulas and Co. are likewise defeated, but the Terrabots, etc. are exhausted and thus no match for Shockwave when she launches an assault by herself. Said assault is devastating, leaving half the 'Bots in stasis lock* and the rest in needing  serious time in a CR chamber. As Shockwave proceeds to bull her way through the Ark's auto-defenses, a desperate Alpha Trion (he can still fight, and fight well, but his advanced age means that his stamina is very limited; also, no one wants to risk losing him) takes out the Key to Vector Sigma and tries something drastic. When Shockwave confronts the old bot and demands that he turn over Nova Prime's corpse, he politely explains that this is impossible. Because he'd just used the Key to retrieve Nova's Spark from the Well of All Sparks and put it back in his body. Shockwave is then tossed into a bulkhead by the revivified Nova. Faced with the greatest warrior in Cybertronian history, Shockwave does the logical thing and retreats. *And possibly some dead, I haven't decided yet; thoughts?

My Transformers Fancon: Gaiacons, Part IV
-Reflector of Uraya transforms into a camera drone. He or they comprise three genderless, Converted bodies with a split Harvested Spark that combine into their alt-mode and share a single consciousness. He/they are also an Outlier, with ability to create drone duplicates of himself/themselves. Said duplicates are quite fragile and disintegrate after a few hours or if they receive any kind of damage. They are nonetheless very useful at helping Reflector hide the fact that he/they are a coward, which is kinda important since showing cowardice is a capital offense in the Decepticon Army. Needless to say, Reflector is super-pleased with his/their current assignment. -Sky-Byte of Harmonex is a triple changer, transforming into a giant, flying robotic shark and a seaplane. He has a Stim-budded body and a Fissioned Spark. Before the war, he was a poet by trade, and remains an aesthete by inclination. The horrors of war weigh heavily on his artistic sensibilities, and in response he has gone completely round the bend. This does not decrease his effectiveness as a warrior; if any thing, his complete disregard for common sense makes him unpredictable and thus even more dangerous. Unfortunately, it also makes him a nightmare to command. He's rather fond of Earth, finding it's natural beauty artistically inspiring.

My Transformers Fancon: The Gaiacons, Part III
-Beastbox of Slaughter City transforms into a memory stick; his robot mode is a mechanical ape (yay size-changes); is able to fly somehow, despite neither mode seeming flight capable. He has a Stim-budded body, a Harvested Spark, and is genderless. Is a minicon, no taller than a human (again, size-changes), but is considerably stronger than he looks. He's part of Soundwave's crew, the Datacons, specializing in interrogations; he's pretty good at hurting his victims just enough so that they'll talk, but not be incapacitated. Is something of an idiot savant; outside of that particular form of precision, Beastbox is a moron and has a nasty temper. Nonetheless, he's conjux endura with his teammate Squawtalk with whom he can combine into Squawkbox; Soundwave does not approve of this, feeling that it is damaging to the Datacons' overall unit cohesion, hence why he was willing to hand them off to Thundercracker. -Squawktalk of Slaughter City transforms into an memory stick; his robot mode is a giant mechanical parrot (yay size-changes). He has a Stim-budded body, a Harvested Spark, and is genderless. Is a minicon, no taller than a human (again, size-changer). Though not formally trained, he has an interest in linguistics and is fluent in over 6500 forms of communication. He's part of Soundwave's crew, the Datacons, specializing in interrogation; he's an expert at reading non-verbal cues and can easily tell if someone is lying to him. His preferred tactic is to just talk at his victims until they can't take it anymore; unfortunately, he has a habit of non-stop talking when he's not interrogating people, also. As a result, he is greatly disliked by everyone except his conjux, Beastbox, and for some bizarre reason, Cutlass. Combines with Beastbox to form Squawkbox. Soundwave considers Squawkttalk and Beastbox's conjuxhood to be damaging to the Datacons' overall unit cohesion, hence why he was willing to hand them off to Thundercracker.

My Transformers Fancon: Gaiacons, Part II
-Chopper* of Altihex transforms into a motorcycle; more specifically, a chopper (duh). He has a Constructed body, a Harvested Spark, and is genderless. Prior to the war he worked as a courier, though since the war began he has received training as a medic. He used to be a member of an all-motorcycle subgroup known as the Motocons* *(asides from himself, it included Cy-Kill, Cutdown, Streetfighter, Chain Drive, Underbone, Twinwheel, and Roadrazor***) who combined into Blitzlord**. The Motocons were tasked with ensuring that Omega Supreme was unable to intervene in a particular battle, and successfully trapped him on a lifeless planetoid. Unfortunately, they were trapped with him. Blitzlord proved unable to stand against Omega, and the attempt resulted in Cy-kill and Underbone's deaths. OS spent the next several decades tying to kill the remaining Motocons, and by the time the Autobots arrived to rescue him, only Chopper and Roadrazor still survived, the latter only barely. The pair was placed in a POW camp, where Autobot medics did their best to save Roadrazor, which required amputating his T-Cog. Having saved his life, the Autobots were in no rush to replace Roadrazor's T-Cog and as a result, when Chopper led a breakout, he didn't make it. Needless to say, Chopper has not taken losing his entire team well, and is suffering major PTSD. -Cutlass^ of Luna-1 transforms into a submarine that can pop out wings and fly, treads and go on land, and rocket-boosters with which to travel in space. Prior to the war he was one of Black Shadow's bodyguards; not that the awesomely powerful crime kingpin needed bodyguards, but it was a status thing. Cutlass is a skilled swordsman, and in the same weight-class as his old boss, powerwise. However, he is also lazy and apathetic; he never fully exerts himself unless money is involved. This trait got him thrown out of the Warriors Elite by a disgusted Scorponok, who also tore out his left optic; Cutlass hasn't gotten around to having it fixed, and simply wears a patch. *An OC.
**Thanks to Q99 for these names.
***Asides from Cy-Kill, all OCs. Sidenote; it is remarkably easy to come up with good 'Con names from motorcycle terminology.
^ Another OC. He's got a pirate theme going on, in case you can't tell.

My Transformers Fancon: Gaiacons, Part I
-Thundercracker of Centurion transforms into a jet fighter. He has a cloned body, a Harvested Spark, and is genderless. All his life, he has loved to fly. His greatest ambition has always been to push the limits of flight and aerobatics, to fly faster, further, and with greater agility than anyone else. Joining the Primal Vanguard's Exploration Corps alongside his clone-siblings Starscream, Skywarp, and Slipstream was a natural extension of this ambition, and together they reached the top, forming the core of the elite Seekers. However, Starscream had grander ambitions, and like the other Seekers, Thundercracker loyally followed their chief into the Decepticon ranks. Thundercracker remains steadfast in his allegiance to Starscream, but he's started to have doubt. He still enjoys proving his superiority via aerial combat, but wanton slaughter and destruction for the sake of destruction doesn't appeal to him. Of course, with Tarn looking for any opportunity to make Starscream suffer, it's not safe for a Seeker to be anything but completely dedicated to the cause. He was well aware of this, and so accepted being assigned to Earth with good grace. In the last century+, however, he's come to look upon Earth not only as a bolthole but as a refuge, learning to love being able to take to the air and just fly.
-Slipstream of Centurion transforms into a jet fighter (different kind then Thundercracker, though). She has a Cloned body, a Fissioned Spark, and is female. After her clone-sibling Sunstorm was institutionalized*, she has dedicated herself to making sure her other clone-siblings remained grounded, so to speak. Her primary weapon in this has been her razor-sharp wit. Given Starscream's pomposity and ambition, Skywarp's malicious mischievousness, and Thundercracker's intense hyper-competitiveness, she spends a lot of time tearing them down with devastating remarks and acidic sarcasm. Unfortunately, she's had to do this so often that she can't stop herself from snarking at everyone. Including people she really shouldn't be. Unlike Thundercracker, she hates being exiled on Earth, due primarily to being desperately bored.** -Bitstream of Burthov transforms into an AWACS.*** He has a Stim-budded*** body, a spliced Spark, and is genderless. He joined the Vanguard Exploration Corps for a chance to have the most advanced sensor suites installed, but after being admitted into the Seekers, found a family to which he is fiercely devoted. A master of "information engineering", he is a brilliant hacker and cryptanalyst who prides himself on being able to break any encryption and crack any non-sentient computer system wide open. In order to test his skills, he periodically takes a peak into the private files of 'Screamer's rivals. While snooping around in Cryotek's he was not as careful as he should have been, and was discovered. Believing that Bitstream may have tumbled onto his big secret, Cryotek thereupon quietly set out to have him silenced. After several narrow escapes, Bitstream went to Stascream and shortly he was on his way to Earth. He's got sensors out the wazoo, enabling him to pinpoint the weaknesses in any opponent. Is a laid-back easygoing fellow (as long as you don't bring up that treacherous turncoat Skyfire), who makes friends easily. In recent decades, has probably been most active in prosecuting the war on Earth, infiltrating and attempting to subvert human information systems and being opposed by Cosmos. *For reference, Sunstorm is a crazy powerful Outlier who is nearly indestructible and so radioactive that he often sets things on fire by standing next to them. He suffers from the delusion that he is "the living Will of Primus", to which he attributes his power. The Seekers sprung him from the nuthouse after joining the 'Cons, but he ended up being assigned to the Warriors Elite instead. **I have this vague idea that her primary entertainment is carrying on an affair with Ironhide and/or with Powerline. The intent is to demonstrate how lackadaisically both sides are prosecuting the war, and to throw into relief the way TFs think about sex differently than we do. I'm not sure this is a good idea, though.
***Yeah, I decided that outside of the core three, the rest of the Seekers would not actually be palette swaps of ‘Screamer.
(Note: this Slipstream concept was created pre-Cyberverse, so she’s based entirely on the TFA version; I’m considering whether or not to alter her to includes some Cyberverse traits, what do you guys think?)

My Transformers Fancon: The Story, Part III
The Insecticons and Gaiacons continue to launch various schemes by which to seize the Ark, the alien tech, and/or kill lots of people, and the Terrabots, Dinobots, and their human allies continue to thwart them. The initial frostiness between the Dinobots and the others starts to thaw, and the humans became increasingly more effective at fighting the 'Cons. Meanwhile, piece by piece, Nightbeat is able to figure out what happened all those millions of years ago; the Ark came to Earth to investigate certain anomalies, and was shot down by the source of said anomalies, the Vok. At that time, the Vok were performing a grand experiment on Earth, but a dispute over the next stage of said experiment had developed. The inadvertent interference of Nova Prime and the Dinobots caused that dispute to turn into a civil war. Adapting pseudo-organic alt-modes in order to withstand the great excess of Energon produced by the Vok's experiment, Nova and the Dinobots sought to bring said war to a peaceful conclusion. Unfortunately, in order to do so, they had to agree to go into deep stasis lock and hide the Ark; knowing that said hiding would ensure it would be a VERY long time before rescue could arrive, hence Nova Prime sacrificing his own Spark to ensure the Dinobots' remained intact. The odd thing is that, thanks to the weird way the Vok tech allowed this to occur, despite Nova's Spark being gone, his body is still functional. This is all interesting to learn, of course, but the 'Bots soon have a rather bigger problem presents itself; the 'Cons are making a big push, which means the arrival of reinforcements will be delayed. Even worse, Shockwave is fed up with Tarantulas' failure to collect Nova's body and arrives to take care of business personally...

My Transformers Fancon: The Story, Part II
So, when construction crews at the Blackrock Group campus unearth the Ark, they also inadvertently trigger it's automated defense systems. Cosmos detects this and the Terrabots roll out via Ground Bridge to protect the humans and provide cover while AT goes in, interfaces with Teletraan-1 and deactivates said defenses before innocent humans get killed. Things are chaotic at first, but eventually, they make it clear that they're friendly. Just in time for the Gaiacons to show up. Spike and Sparkplug manage to keep the civilians clear while the 'Bots see off 'Cracker and Co with the help of Teletraan-1. With the Blackrock Group guys providing support, the 'Bots begin excavating the Ark in between fighting off additional 'Con attacks. To the surprise of everyone, they discover that the Ark is full of unknown alien tech, and that while Nova Prime is deceased, his crew is merely in stasis lock. This despite vanilla stasis lock turning into death if it last more than a few million years and the Ark having crashed 67 million years ago. It seems Nova used his own Matrix-infused Spark (even though he wasn't carrying it anymore, he still carried it's power; think Optimal Optimus staying such after returning OP's Spark) and the alien tech to preserve them. Teletraan-1 had been inactive since the initial crash, so it's no help; the only way to find out what happened to the Ark and her crew is to wake them up. Of course, given the unusual circumstances, the standard wake-up procedures are risky. While they're still puzzling this out, Tarantulas and the Insecticons arrive; Shockwave wants Nova Prime's corpse so she can study the Matrix-energy. In order to facilitate taking the Ark, Tarantulas has the Gaiacons attack major civilian targets as a diversion while the Insecticons launch a full assault on the Ark. Having no other choice, the 'Bots take drastic measures and wake the Ark's crew. Enter the Dinobots.

My Transformers Fancon: Terrabots, Part IV
-Nightbeat of Iacon transforms into a high-performance sports car. He has a Constructed body, a Spliced Spark, and is genderless. Before the war, Nightbeat was an investigative reporter and occasional police consultant. A master of the art of investigation and the science of deduction, 'Beat loves nothing so much as solving mysteries. His talents got him assigned to the Counter-Espionage division of Prowl's Intelligence Service when the Great War broke out, hunting down 'Con spies and thwarting their plots. His great success at this eventually led to him being given the authority to choose his own missions. In-between assignments, he keeps his skills sharp by investigating various unsolved mysteries. Since it was his discovery that led to AT's current quest, he of course joined the team. He still keeps in constant contact with Prowl back at HQ, consulting on various operations.
(thanks to Q99 for part of the next bit)
-Cosmos of Luna-1 transforms into a satellite. He has a Stim-budded body, a Fissioned Spark, and is genderless. An astrophysicist before the war, he's since become a surveillance expert. He's quite brilliant and spends a lot of time in his own head; he's not quite comfortable talking to other bots. Exactly how he ended up as Alpha Trion's personal assistant is a bit of a mystery.
Cosmos has a desire to be useful, but suffers literal panic attacks in large groups, making him ill-suited for assignments among larger groups and in many important places despite his skill, causing him to flounder in the ranks for some time. Being personal assistant to an important bot known for being off on his own and usually working with, at most, small groups, is thus an ideal assignment, and has allowed Cosmos to flourish. He's still hesitant in talking to other Terrabots, but is more comfortable with them than others, and Nightbeat has picked up on this shift and passed on to them that Cosmos likes the group. The two share some connection, as one examines things from a distance and the other up close.
And that’s the Terrabots! Next, the Gaiacons!

My Transformers Fancon: The Terrabots, Part I
So, now that I’ve teased you with the beginning of the story proper, it’s time to start in on the Earthside cast. i will begin with the local ‘Bots; as our main cast is a team that has been working together for some time, I’m giving them a sub-group name, in this case the Terrabots (the opposition will receive the somewhat clunkier name of Gaiacons)
I will present in each case, the character's current alt-mode, origin, gender-if-applicable, and then some history/personality (as opposed to just the last). -Alpha Trion is a triple changer, transforming into an attack helicopter and a vintage roadster. He's true-budded with a harvested Spark, and is male. You already know his history. I think I gave a discussion of his personality previously, correct me if I'm wrong. -Kup of Thetacon transforms into a pickup truck. He's stim-budded and has a harvested Spark, and is genderless. Though not as old as Alpha Trion, he's been around for a long, long time. In the pre-Prime era, he was a mercenary who traveled from city-state to city-state, fighting for whoever could pay him. He was a member of a company that was working for the Overlord of Iacon when he first heard Prima preaching. Specifically, he was on the way to a bar when he passed by Prima's soapbox as someone made the mistake of taking a swing at the Prime (as you may have noticed, from my previous references to him, Prima's style of preaching was often fairly confrontational and tended to piss people off). Prima easily dealt with the guy, Kup was impressed with his fighting skill and tried to convince him to join up. Prima countered by suggesting Kup give up the mercenary life. Prima won that argument and Kup became one of his acolytes. When Alpha Prime formed the Primal Vanguard, he was one of the original members. When Nova Prime turned the Vanguard into an army, Kup was designated as an officer. During the Golden Age, Kup became a member of the Vanguard's Exploratory Corps, and spent millions of years traveling the universe, encountering all manner of weirdness (one of the reasons he’s still alive and non-decrepit). He's always been a wanderer, never content to sit still for long. In part because of this, he's spent the Great War bouncing around from posting to posting; he's had stints at numerous outposts and as part of numerous units under the umbrellas of everything form Special Ops to Science Command before landing his current gig as part of Alpha Trion's security detail. He's seen a lot over the years, and being a garrulous sort will happily go on about his experiences forever if given the chance.
