Laws of Attraction ep 3

I might redefine my colour theory as I go...and just from the first minute I'm wondering if the red is actually Charn's connection to his mother and therefore revenge (rather than the law)...(also, something something the blue flowers covering the red of his mother's shirt).

And flashback to happier times (hence the yellow shirt, I guess) with Charn's mother in pink again and wearing the ring on her necklace.

So Charn fought government officials (above the Mayor) to help the people keep their land but the powerful didn’t take kindly to his actions so killed his mother as a backlash?... I don't think we've got the full story here but this could be why Charn doesn't care much for the rich and powerful (despite him saying he likes money and power - but that's probably only because he needs both to get revenge).

"Unnamed body" is that the bodyguard that Charn and Tin fought last ep?

(Sorry, I just need a moment to get over how beautiful Ploy's mother is... 😮)

There's so much red and green...this has to mean something. Maybe the green is for Tonkhao and the red is Charn and Tin's revenge...but that means I'm less certain about Charn and Tin themselves (unless they're lapis lads - both loyal blue boys - hmmmm 🤔).

We've found the toy! And it looks like it's going to disappear with Ploy!

Rose telling Charn he cares about Tin and his world whilst flanked by so. much. red and green (on the wall and the cushions). (also Organ is amazing. It's so good seeing her play a different character to Tanya).

Charn's face when he realises Tin is comparing him to the kids! And then Tin calling Charn luung! Love it!

And the blue is finally back! On both of them! (*chanting* lapis lads lapis lads lapis lads *fingers crossed for @respectthepetty*) and Charn tells Tin to take his blue denim jacket off to pretend to be something he's not to garner support from the public. Delicious if this is correct!

Oooo the green (of Tonkhao and what she represents to them) looming behind both Thatthep and Tanthai.

The 'anger management room' is fantastic. So, so deliberate to first smash the green vase whilst wearing a red jumpsuit (since everything else he smashed were big appliances) and then the tv afterwards (symbolic of the truth eventually being revealed to the public?).

I mean...I feel for Tanthai but he brought it all on himself (under the huge influence of his father but still...). I really want to know what that toy will reveal.

I wonder if Thee will be on Tanthai's side or do as Thatthep says...

I love how it goes from all serious 'we're being threatened' dramatic music to romantic music and 'you can talk to me about your troubles if you want'.

Ooof. That is not a healthy father-son relationship. I know they want us to feel sympathy for Tanthai, and even see a romantic connection between Thee and Tanthai, but I just can't until I know what Tanthai did.

I think Tin suspects Charn of starting the fire himself. Aaaaand yes he does.

SILVY! (in loyal blue. Loyal to Charn?)

So I'm leaning more towards Tin (and maybe Charn as well) being blue... Charn walks Tin backwards away from the blue window whilst telling him he can't be his righteous self, he has to go against his true nature to get ahead of their enemies.

It's interesting though that Thatthep and Tanthai also wear a lot of blue. More to ponder on for later eps...

Oh and the clenched-fist-shot-my-beloathed. I haven't seen it for a while. And I'd rather not ever again.

julia and kady and penny from the magicians! the arrangement doesn't matter! i also have a fun au where both pennys are alive at once and in the same polycule, and initially it's super weird but they get over it. julia and kady have everything, they were forced together but stayed together on purpose, their history is so tumultuous but they care so much about each-other. kady and penny's romance feels rushed but when they decided they were doing it they were great and i was totally on board (+ rewatches have made a lot of the rushed-ness make sense in character

fen and margo from......... the magicians! this show was sooo committed to making fen an accessory character to margeliot (i refer to margo and eliot together this way because it feels wrong to separate them) that they crushed her character into a little box and still, Somehow, she and margo have like Allll of the chemistry, it's ridiculous. i think about the scene where margo tells fen that if eliot dies she'll take care of her every day. i languish under the knowledge that fen's destiny being textually intertwined with margo's was never romantic to the writers the way it was romantic to me. the king's wife and the queen who also happens to be the king's best friend slash qp??? it's sooooooo good.

F1 Re-Watch 2022: Round 11 - Austria

Yes I’m carrying this on even though we literally have the first race of 2023 tomorrow sadhuvh I am determined to finished this now that I’ve started (and I’m actually enjoying it despite the RBR domination and Ferrari clownery).

Anyway, I yet again remember nothing from this race other than Seb and his bee hotel, so I am once again going into a race blind so let’s just jump on in

Oh jeez. That race was A LOT. Like, so much, possible too much but considering how many races were dull all the way through or had dull patches I will take one race of pure insanity. We had SO MUCH midfield spice, it was excellent, an ACTUAL BATTLE FOR THE LEAD!!!!! and honestly??? It was a great race from start to finish. I genuinely would watch it again.

Day 7 of Downpour

Gourmand is done. Rivulet begins. Artificer explores.

The last item on Gourmand's list was a red centipede so I went back to garbage wastes where I saw one last. That was HARD to kill, died so many times. I had to go to the wiki for strategies and it said spore puffs damage it, and Gourmand can craft them from a rock and a mushroom. I made 3 of them, then went on the attack and killed it with help from some scavengers.

Then I went to ascend the usual way. I could've jumped around some more looking for new regions but I really wanted to play the spearmaster. Gosh the ending is gorgeous, my only problem with it is it takes SO LONG to get through the ending sequence.

I lost it seeing the chonky ghost on the main menu XD

Rivulet

I decided to go Rivulet instead, because Artificer is already extremely stabby and I wanted to have a chill playthrough at the same time.

We begin in the drainage system, which again, is not that bad. Rivulet is very fast and springy, which is great because I was admittedly getting impatient with the slowness as Gourmand. Breathing underwater is also great. I was stuck down a hole when the rain arrived and I was able to just wait for the room to flood and swim up to the shelter. I assume if I stayed out there for a very long time I'd die though.

MY GOD I got a 6-pip long cycle. This is insane. Shelters also still fail in this mode. Garbage wastes has less rot but there is still a bro in the pool. Red centipedes (my beloathed) are absurdly fast and I kept dying to one that I could not outrun. I have to keep moving because shelters fail every other cycle. So Rivulet is not at all chill. And yes it is possible to drown, it just takes maybe a minute and a half (don't quote me, I didn't count).

With the shelter fails there are a lot of cycles in the quasi-rain that doesn't quite kill you. This leads to hiding under bits of landscape, and swimming through flooded rooms. The other creatures try to come out. It was really funny to me to encounter the aboveground scav toll in garbage wastes and they're just chilling in the literally torrential rain.

I have made it to shoreline. My beloathed. The land of my people. It should be interesting. It's good that it's now much easier to dive down and reach those underwater pipes, and traversing certain areas should no longer rely on a jetfish to get underwater without drowning. Waiting for one to turn up annoys me, but at least when one does you have control. Makes them much less bad than reindeers.

I starved after being cornered in a shelter in a flooded room with a salamander in it after having found no food. I got progress towards an achievement called the Martyr?

There's this scary new area of flooded pipes near the lower right of the region. I also ran into giant swimming centipedes and swimming green lizards.

I made it to Moon, and I can already talk to her somehow. She's wearing a little white outfit, and starts with more neurons. She doesn't know which iterator gave the mark, and she basically told me to run far away because of the hazardous rain, and said it's because Five Pebbles is doing real bad. I might try to go to him next. I started with a stored pearl, which is an iterator superstructure diagram that Moon really liked. I might try to go to pebbles next, but apparently it'll be dangerous.

Artificer

I love the shelters in metropolis, in the ones I've been in the city outside is visible and it's not just a dark background.

It's such a good region, the platforming with the boom jumping is so fun. The scavs are the worst part of it though, if it weren't for them I'd be having a better time.

I am still dying a lot, but I found an area, something about the pillar of the House of Braids. The gravity is low in places and I found a room with scattered neurons and a hydra, but was killed by a spear. I think the hydra was trying to kill the scavs in the bottom right and hit me instead. I managed to go there again and get a neuron so now I am finally shiny. You can boom jump in zero gravity to change direction, which makes it much easier to get around.

I also found a new echo! To find it go up. Its dialogue was nice and specific to the artificer. I think I agree, I'm sick of scav-killing mostly because I keep dying. I feel like a ninja whenever I manage to kill multiple though

I think I figured out why they removed the wall pounce ability. I keep almost flinging myself to my death when jumping around.

While trying to find a shelter in the new subregion I went on an adventure and ended up finding one in a subterranean-like area which had miros birds in it. I do not like this area and I want to leave.

My Zedeath and Grimdog Halloween piece from last year - (its my banner for a reason sjdbwj) One, orange and green are my favorite colors (just look at my blog lmao) and what better way to include these colors in a fall-themed illustration? Two, idk i just really like how the leaves came out lol. Fun fact: i finished that piece 6 days before it was Halloween and i was struggling so hard not to post it early because I was just too excited sjdbsj

Xb inspired eye thingy from Sphor's TMA au - Fun fact: i made this one sitting, no my back and neck was not ok at the time i worked on this 5-6 hours straight on my bed while my sibling was using my desk (don't do what I did sjdbsj). I just really like the vibes :]

Steampunk Cave of Contraptions with steampunk Zed and Tango - Ah, machineary my beloathed <3 It took me about 6-8 hours to do the line art only? Absolutely love how it came out tho, especially with the glowy effects. Also!! Drawing fan art of other's people creations/design/ideas is really fun, suprise a local artist/writer/content creater by making fan art for them, because you can yell at them about how great their content is and make their day (its the best)

Hel's kitchen - I gotta say, 2 point perspective with interiors is incredibly fun if you're fine with around 6 hours of lineart (which i am) lol. Funnily enough, it was the flat coloring that took longer because procreate has a shit paint bucket tool, but MAN i am so proud of how it came out :D
