the Hollow Boy book 3 reactions reading it for the first time
book 1 and 2
finally ready to type this up here we go page numbers are my copies
page 3 "I think it was only at the very end of the Lavender Lodge job, when we were fighting for our lives in that unholy guest house, that I glimpsed Lockwood and Co working together perfectly for the first time" Lmao
page 8 the owners of the Lodge description "If they resembled anything, it was a pair of elderly owls roosting on a branch"
16 we know who you are Lucy
19 "That's real bad. If I were you Lucy I would find a window and jump out." that is not a good thing is it
page 20 "however as the weeks passed and we'd got to know it properly, we'd learned to really despise it too" heartwarming really
Page 27 that is a lot of ghosts (example whatever I'm on this would be great to see this on screen the practicality of it though? nope)
38 "you chucked that bottle like a girl"/ "I am a girl" no comments let it speak for itself
49 "Outside the window a gale was blowing. Portland Row seemed formed of liquid. Trees flexed; rain pattered on the panes. Inside, it was warm; we had the heating on full blast." this is so cosy
57 "so Lockwood's proximity made me happy" 63 Skull being annoying and I love the background on the night taxis
66 insight into the past and the sorry fate of Jessica Lockwood.
72 Poor Lockwood standing there as Lucy and George bickered
74 I love this quote "It was a place of absence, we were in the presence of something that had gone. It was like coming to a valley where someone had once shouted, loud and joyously, and the echo of that shout had resounded between the hills and lasted a long time. But now it had vanished, and you stood on the spot, and it was not the same"
also Lucy thinking about Lockwood opening up to her more is so cute
82 Hi Kipps (lmao this is so funny when you consider how worried Lockwood was at the thought of Lucy leaving for Fittes "Bloody cheek. Lockwood said. He's talking nonsense as usual. Even so, he said little in the taxi, and it was left to me to give renewed directions"
85 "I smiled at him. There was a horror behind that door. I would see it in seconds. Yet my heart sang in my breast, to be standing beside Lockwood in that house. All was as it should be" aw the horrors but united front
86 I wonder why i was thinking of the Woman in Black
91 "My Talent could bypass such anxieties" can it? 100% of the time?
92 the skull is funny but also an jackass
96 testing Lucy's talent time... the skull is so funny
101 "it wasn't the easiest of homecomings" (typing this up I did not notice the Fittes ghost hunting board game which is basically surgery" 105 "I couldn't believe it. They'd actually done it. They'd tidied! they'd tidied up for me" and "Lockwood's favourites - the ones with almond icing that he rarely allowed himself- were on top" and "Portland Row was my home. My real family was here." I need a minute for that last one honestly
118 "her skin looked as smooth and delectable as coffee- coloured marble". interesting word choice (bisexual Lucy)
125 "I'd never thought to sit so close behind Lockwood that I could lean foreward and speak quietly in his ear, or, by virtue of my proximty to the leader, tactily became the second most important person in the room"
133 the tale is so eerie the casual callouseness of Mrs Wintergarden (thought she doesn't mean to be) and the haunting itself 136 "I gulped mine down like an antisocial seabird" also hello lyre brooch
142 Lucy talking and getting cut off by Lockwood.
153 time sickness
162 Ned Shaw dies and it is just go on as usual there'll be time to mourn later. I am really glad we got to see Ned and Lockwood fight together in the show
165 Neighbourhood Protection Leagues. I was hoping for something like this in the world at large
176 Holly wearing Lockwood's old jumper on the one hand makes sense because cold but also was it necessary for Holly to say it still smells like him? like it is really intimate wearing someone else's clothing and smelling them on it and of course the possibilty of her wearing Lucy's spare gloves is so *flails*
186 "there were bloodstained footprints all around my circle" how about? no 188 "or mimicking the sound of breathing" again no
192 "the ghost opened it's mouth. "I need YOU" it said" creepy. three steps at a time is huge (i want a Lockwood POV)
200 "were you feeling particulary abandoned or needy up there?" and Lucy not answering or looking at George. 205 Lockwood and Lucy arguing about Holly (not arguing per say but rumbles of thunder off in the distance)
209 I love this chat with the Skull. 211 "head wounds clearly suit you" the way i sputtered at this
216 I love the vastness of the Chelsea outbreak
219 Bad things happening? let's throw a party! well carnival you get the picture
224 FLO! we're going to see Flo... 228 "Don't worry about Locky. He must like you really. It's been eighteen months and you're still alive" lmao
233 Love Mrs Wintergarden inviting them to the carnival
236 George is protective of Lucy aw
241 hi sir Rupert... 244 they're tossing sources!
247 deadly hair piece NICE ("the band was a crescent- moon- sharp, made of silver. She held it like a knife")
253 "we [Locklyle] were in step together perfectly in sync"
259 I love the pictures of Lockwood in the newspaper
264 "[Luce] You're a star" a bit out of context but who cares? and then she goes into Jessica's room and finds out what she can
266 Lucy finds a necklace "a golden necklace with a dark green stone lay on a sheet of cotton wool" 269 poor little Lockwood
278 world building! finding where things are located! this is cool
281 smarty pants George but also teamwork with Flo
284 "Another point to Lucy. She's good at playing atrocities" now thing of the scene in the show where she and Lockwood roleplay relic men
287 misplaced trust in Barnes
292 Lucy telling Lockwood to join forces with Kipps and I really like the scene
Lucy: "I think we should take Kipps up on his offer. There are people dying out there, Lockwood, and we can't stand back from it. We need to act. We need to engage, even if that does mean making compromises. That department store is massive: even if we're just doing a reconnaissance, we need a proper team. And Kipps's team is good- we know that. If we have faith in George, in all the work he's done, we should do this. We owe it to him. More than that, we owe it to ourselves.
and Lockwood just gazes at her (Lockwood POV) and she gets flustered "I just don't think we have any choice" and I love it so much
and I love the reactions of everyone else
297 FLO! I feel so safe. 299 Flo is plesant to Holly Lucy is annoyed
303 haunting descriptions time "Mornings are all right' the attendant in Meswear said. 'And late afternoons, funnily enough when you get the sunlight streaming through the windows. It's noon I don't like, when the streets outside are bright, and in here it's full of shadow. The air goes thick. Not hot, exactly. Just stuffy."
312 Lucy paired with Holly and neither being very happy about it the skull being funny
317 i like this description from the skull "Because you're [Lucy] unique. You shine like a beacon, attracting the attention of all dark things" 319 "i missed him [Lockwood] at my side"
323 "And i watched that notch of darkness. I watched as something moved into it" how about nope
328 "with a fetch a ghost that makes a psychic bond with the onlooker and takes on the guise on the guise of someone closely connected to them" this would be horrible yeah (I would love to see it in the show)
338 Lucy telling Holly she should have told Lockwood no and Holly goes "like you do?" Lucy yelling at Holly and poor Bobby is injured and having to deal with these two
351 "truth is, it's everywhere. it's right on top of us. It coils around us like a snake. We're all inside it. It's already swallowed us whole." I LOVE THIS LINE
359 why is Lockwood's eyes sparkling at Lucy and then it all goes to shit the chapter ending with "both my mind and body were lost"
365 "rule seven (b), obviously, is to keep your matchbox well stocked."
367 "I looked at it. 'Hello,' I said. 'Sorry' The skeleton said nothing. It couldn't help it's bad manners"
379 Lucy recognising the voice being that of Lockwood. But it not being Lockwood
385 "you know I'd die for you" so Lucy see's the fetch ghost take on Lockwood's form and telling her Lockwod dies for her. Then she hears this from real Lockwood. If it were me the moment i was able i'd sit in the corner and rock. Also this is a crime that we don't get to see this scene and the lead up to it on the screen because Lockwood's actor is great and would knock it out of the park. (also Lockwood pov again)
390 "it's happened to me before. Losing someone dear to me. I can't let it happen again" see above Cameron and Ruby would be stunning.
394 Lockwood's first ghosts were his parents? yikes
413 creepy thought indeed missing mysterious people doing a ritual
417 "take your boyfriend Lockwood" lmao skull
419 and everyone is in shock and the book end.

Horizontober 2021: Corrupted
Look, Erend is my absolute favorite. But- I was 105% convinced he was a Super Secret Bad Guy and kept waiting for the game to sucker punch me with it. When Aloy has the chance to tell him about the Focus I was like "this is it, this is where it all goes down." Then it never happened.
Until now.
Rating: T No Pairing Words: 1.100 (each one painful to write) BadGuy!Erend :(
“Erend, I think your sister is alive, you need to go back and check the body.” Aloy presses the cut armor into his hands, heart pounding wildly as she starts to put the pieces together.
He stands motionless, looking down at the tattered edges. She’s worried about his reaction, so she reaches out and lays a gentle hand on his arm.
It’s hard to describe when the change comes over him. It’s like a switch flips, and when he meets her eyes, he’s not Erend anymore. There’s now an easy smirk where a distressed frown had creased his face. He drops the leather piece to the ground.
“So close. How is it you solved the puzzle but still can’t see the full picture?”
Aloy is stunned. “I don’t understand.”
“I’m not surprised. You would have eventually, though. Especially with that gadget on your face. I saw you uncovering Olin’s little side-venture-- which I really didn’t know about if that’s worth anything.” He holds an outstretched palm to her, raising an eyebrow, waiting for a response. At her incredulous look he raises the hand in faux-surrender. “Understandable. But after that display in Olin’s basement, I couldn’t risk you finding out what we had planned for the Carja-” he spits the word, and his voice echoes his speech to the angry Nora so many weeks ago: I hated the Carja.
“You said they didn’t kill your sister, that they-”
“They took her, yes. You think the Ersa we got back was the same as the one they took?” He opens his arms, shoulders thrown back in an indifferent shrug. Despite that, his tone is still bitter. “We Oseram are nothing if we’re not all about a good trade. When we’re left holding the rusty end of a deal, well-- we get a little heated.”
Aloy speaks again, trying to catalogue the lies so she can reestablish some grasp on reality. “You also said Dervahl was mad, that the people of Meridian were innocent.”
Erend laughs, “Of course he was insane, the man lost his wife and kid. The difference between him and Ersa is the difference between a leaky container of blaze and the molten heat of a newly forged weapon. He had inventions, he just didn’t have a direction or a plan. Not any good ones, at least.”
She’s outraged, she’s hurt. She hadn’t wanted to get involved in the first place, but his whispered plea, don’t make me beg, had tugged on her heartstrings. She’d set aside her investigation into Olin to bring Erend some peace, and now she’s here. “And you do? What’s going to stop me from running and telling Avad right now? Think Erend, this is crazy.”
He waves her off, shaking his head. “Planning, thinking, that’s not really my thing. Muscle, boots on the ground, that’s my arena.” An iron grip locks around her forearm. Aloy scrabbles at her waist with her free hand, grabbing a hardpoint arrow and trying to drive it in the open area between his chest piece and arm. He heads her off, bringing up his other bracer-clad wrist, the arrowhead collides with a metal ring, snapping the shaft. “Guess all this heavy metal armor didn’t slow me down that much, huh?”
Aloy is built for speed and stealth; she can’t get the leverage she needs to overcome the height advantage and sheer mass Erend has over her now that he’s got a grip on her. Aloy struggles anyway, feet stomping the discarded armor further into the dirt.
“We worked really hard on this set up too. All you had to do was realize they took some people with them, then I could have put on the sad eyes again to beg you to help save some guards that got caught in the crossfire.” He huffs as he ties a length of leather cord around her wrists behind her back. “But you went and figured out Ersa was alive, incredible. What do you even see with that thing- the Focus? Do you think I could borrow it for my next dice game?”
Her chest burns in anger, but before she can spit a retort she’s distracted by the sound of heavy footsteps approaching. The humor drains out of Erend when he notices. He puts a hand on Aloy’s shoulder, holding her in place without any significant pressure.
“Grow up, Erend.” A woman with short hair steps into the clearing, her eyes the same icy blue as Erend’s, but twice as cold.
The hand on Aloy’s shoulder twitches as Erend mutters, “Yes, Ersa.”
Ersa sizes up Aloy, taking confident, measured steps until she reaches the struggling Nora and her now-stoic captor.
“We’ve got big plans in Meridian.” Ersa reaches forward touching one gloved finger to Aloy’s Focus. She pulls her hand back with a smile when Aloy snaps her head to the side, furious. “And I’ve heard a lot about you, Aloy. A savior, a survivor, a real pain in the ass, depending on who you ask.”
“Are you going to kill me?” Aloy can’t stomach the games, head still reeling with the situation she’s found herself in.
Ersa continues, like she didn’t hear. “But if you ask me, you’re one of two things: asset or obstacle. Before you decide which one you’d like to be, consider this; we aren’t the Nora and we’re not the Carja. We don’t sneak. We don’t yield. We don’t even go around an obstacle. Anything that’s in our way will be broken down and stripped of anything useful. Do you understand?”
Aloy lifts her chin, defiant, but understanding how precarious her situation is. “I think I’m starting to.”
Ersa smiles, but there’s no warmth. “Good. Let’s go somewhere a little more private. While we were waiting for you to arrive, my brother filled me in on your situation. You’ve been wronged, you need a little revenge. Sounds like we're poured from the same smelting pot, now let’s talk liberation.”
Erend pushes at her shoulder, urging her to move her forward. They follow Ersa’s imposing figure through the faked battleground, and Aloy feels shattered.
Dervahl and Olin’s love for their families, the Matriarch’s fear of their own goddess, Ersa’s pain; there’s nothing that can’t be twisted into something dangerous and destructive. Aloy thinks back to her childhood, when she’d had a rock and a desire to crack Bast in the head with it.
The Derangement doesn’t just affect the machines, the thought is bitter, curling Aloy’s lip as if she can actually taste it. The only difference is the machines haven’t always been dangerous.

Tindyl’s Origin
How I’ve not posted this is beyond me..
It was an especially bright night, the evening that Tindyl was born. The moon was high in the sky. Its shimmering image was crisp and untouched by clouds. It was taken as a good omen as the young night elf was birthed beneath the giant limbs of Teldrassil. She was born of parents; Bai’len Moonwillow and Laurêl Sagebloom.
Bai’len, a Druid of the Claw, came from a long line of druids that also followed the path of Urso and Ursol. When his daughter was born, he dreamed of a life for her where she might follow in her ancestor’s footsteps.  As the world turned and decades passed, it became an apparent reality that times were changing. Female Kaldorei were becoming druids and males taking up Priesthood. Though he was conservative in his beliefs, a faint flicker of hope welled within him—perhaps Tindyl Willowmoon could become a druid.
It was a silent wish he kept to himself for many years.
Much of Tindyl’s childhood passed as it did for all Kaldorei children. She ran through the forests, danced with the whispering wind, and lost herself amongst the fields of flowers. Bai’len saw her connection with nature at an early age; though all night elves bore the same deep love for the perseverance of nature and swore their lives to protect it, he was sure that when Tindyl spoke to the trees, they spoke back.
When the young night elf reached the age of 100, she had a general grasp of all the duties available to her within their society. Bai’len taught her without sway. Though the druid tried to remain unbiased in his teachings, he couldn’t help but spend a little extra time showing her how to sharpen her claws or learn how to knit her pelt so tightly together that it felt like iron.
On days when the sun was high and the forest lost some of its naturally dim hues, Bai’len would take Tindyl to the main continent of Kalimdor, into the trees of Darkshore, and spar with her. The little she-elf practiced shifting in and out of different forms and did so adeptly. Bai’len knew fully that not every elf born had the knack for nature magic and the fact that his daughter caught on at such a young age, surprised even him.
He chose to practice away from their home for fear that others might think ill of him. While it had become more commonplace for females to practice druidism, his old bones felt the uneasiness of thousands of years of tradition. Some still did not approve of the societal changes and Bai’len feared that Tindyl might be treated harshly for her interests.
So, they spent their mornings nestled in the cool forest of Darkshore. Tindyl would practice shifting until Bai’len saw no hesitation in the way her body morphed. This simple teaching left her too fatigued to carry out any other lessons but; as she grew, her body became resilient and she took on the form of a cat, doe, bear, and dolphin with relative ease.
When she had the energy, Bai’len challenged his daughter to a sparring match. At first the young one was shy and meek to fight her father. When she stood beside her father in his guardian form, her eyes would fall to the massive prints left in the damp dirt as he walked from her and she worried that her own paws might never grow to even half the size.
Despite the hesitant approach Tindyl took to swatting at her father with a thick paw, the elder did not relent. With the same ferocity he would take to battle, he dove at Tindyl; teeth bared, claws protruding, and a mighty roar shaking the trees around them. Day by day, she cowered less and fought back more.
There were not many matches that she won but every so often, her teeth would nip the right spot behind her father’s neck and the druid would howl. One paw might swipe above his massive head, but she was small and quick. With the distraction, Tindyl would seize her opportunity as Bai’len stood with only three feet upon the earth. Their bodies crashed together as she lunged fearlessly, and they toppled into the grass in a pile of silver fur.
Bai’len’s laugh was as loud and rumbling as his roar. In an unusual display of public affection; he’d scoop up Tindyl and press his forehead against hers and scold her playfully for picking on her old father. Tindyl would laugh, roll her glowing silver eyes, and push herself out of his grasp.
It wasn’t long into her adulthood that he watched Tindyl’s demeanor change. While she obeyed and trained in the shade of Darkshore, there was a heaviness upon her heart. Her laughter did not echo between trees like part of nature’s symphony. Bai’len found her one evening sitting in a large meadow, head back as she stared up at the moon.
“What troubles you?” He asked in his deep baritone.
Tindyl’s eyes shut and a long breath slipped through her lips slowly.
“You’ve always told me of my ancestors, of your father and mother, and of theirs, Druids of the Claw. Druids of the Talon.”
Bai’len stood with bated breath. This was the moment his heart had held onto from the moment Tindyl’s first cries were lifted upon the wind and into the branches of their home. Yet, he felt as if he hadn’t enough time to prepare over these last 105 years. The druid stood beside her now, eyes fixed upon her face as his daughter’s brow knit together.
“I do not think I was meant to follow in their stead,” her voice was almost fearful as she said it. Those bright eyes opened and watched for her father’s reaction.
Inwardly, Bai’len felt a piece of him shatter but his face remained smooth.
“You have always had a choice, daughter. It would be an honor to serve with The Sentinels or even one day, The Wardens.”
“An’da,” her hand waved in the air dismissively.
Thinking that his daughter meant to shy away from his suggestion of becoming a Warden, Bai’len continued. “It is a high honor Tindyl, you’ve trained extensively in many areas I do not doubt—” Bai’len was interrupted.
“I do not want to be a Sentinel or a Warden.” As if preparing for battle, Tindyl got to her feet noiselessly.
“Then, what is it you want?”
Their shadows were cast long against the lush green grass as the moon shined down upon them. A desperate prayer was lifted to Elune as Tindyl took another deep breath and clenched her fists.
“I want to be a Druid of the Wild, I want to learn more of what you’ve taught me all these years. You said when I was young that it was uncommon that someone should be able to shapeshift into more than one form. I think..I must have been born with this gift, given to me by Elune herself!”
It amused Bai’len slightly to see his daughter’s purple skin flush with a red undertone as she passionately delivered her reasoning.
“While I love spending time with you in the forest, I do not think that I was meant to follow the path of Urso and Ursol. Nor am I meant to follow Avianna.”
“What do you intend then?” Bai’len’s arms were crossed lightly over his wide chest.
“I’m going to use magic…nature magic…to…heal.”
A single thick, silver brow raised high as Tindyl delivered her intentions in full. Bai’len’s composure broke mildly as his lips parted and he gazed down at his child in bewilderment.
“I’ve not taught you anything of restoration, who has put this thought into your head?”
“I did.” Tindyl stared up at her An’da, voice firm and calm for the first time during their meeting beneath the moon. “I would gladly spill blood to protect our home, our kin, our ways but it does not feel right. I am a warrior only because you’ve taught me how to be one, but it is not who I am within my heart.”
Tindyl waited in agony as silence fell between them. It was not within her nature to fidget or show any signs of her true emotions, but her eyes did hold the vision of Bai’len’s face tensely. The elder rubbed his forefinger over his bearded chin. The white hair bristled beneath his fingers as he scraped at the dark purple skin below it.
“I will not allow this, Tindyl.”
“But you would allow me to strap a bow to my back and ride a nightsaber alongside my sisters who die in battle against those that encroach on our home?”
“Do not raise your voice to me,” Bai’len threatened, voice like the snarl of a bear.
“Traditions are important, father.” Tindyl composed herself in an effort at another attempt to persuade him. “I believe that fully. Our ways should be preserved, our beliefs upheld, but I ask if you would allow me to practice druidism—something once unheard of for a female not many moons ago, why do you baulk at the idea of my healing? I only want to serve our people, to heal the wounds that would not otherwise mend. I’ve seen the soft green glow of that magic flow through my veins in dreams sent to me by the moon goddess. I can feel it in the tips of my fingers when they graze the petals of flowers and trunks of our trees. I will not allow it to consume me, not like it did to mother.”
Bai’len’s head snapped upward from where his eyes had drifted to a single flower swaying in the breeze.
“You will release this foolish dream from your head.”
That was the last word. Bai’len left Tindyl standing under the comforting rays of the moon. Tindyl sunk to her knees where she stood. The small stalks of grass were light against her skin, wrapping around her fingers and wrists as if to console her. The earth beneath her fingertips sang to Tindyl in the chirp of insects and call of evening birds. She knew it in her heart that what she said was true.
A single tear dripped down her alabaster skin and fell into the dirt below. In a dizzying instant, a wisp of green light shot upward. It vanished as quickly as it came and, in its place, stood a fresh silver flower. Tindyl’s hands hesitantly cupped its petals. The faintest green hue emanated within her palms and caressed the smooth edges of the plant that had just come into existence. A somber smile graced the night elf’s lips. She kept her hands around the flower as she leaned back and looked up at the moon.
“Thank you,” she whispered. Her words were carried away upon the wind, whisked up and away into the leaves of their mighty Teldrassil. She could only hope Elune heard her and continued to show her the path she was meant to tread.

Smut 82 and 105
Here you are love. I hope that you like this and I hope it matches what you had pictured. This one is on the longer side but nevertheless, I hope you enjoy.
As always, the bold writing are the prompts.
===
Drinking was never a good idea but when you were your best friend after nearly three months of not seeing one another, who were you to turn down beer and homemade pizza made special by Taron.
The man had come home from filming two days ago and had invited Cherry over for a catch up. Cherry was excited to see her friend for more reasons than one. Reason number one, the woman had missed Taron and the shenanigans they would get up to when he was home. Reason number two, she had no idea what had hit her but after having a dream about him the first night he was away, Cherry’s feelings for him skyrocketed and there was nothing she wanted more then to be his.
When she got the invite, she was more than willing to go but she knew the chances of getting with him were slim to none, especially since he started going on and on about a girl he'd met while being away. It broke Cherry’s heart but she was determined to be happy for her friend. After all, his happiness mattered to her and she could that he was happy.
“She sounds like a nice person.” Cherry said before downing the rest of her beer.
“She really is, I think you and her would get along really well.” Taron replied, lying through his teeth.
The truth was that he too had grown feelings for the woman beside him but for a reason not known to him, he decided to make her jealous and unknowingly break her heart in the process.
“What’s her name?” Cherry asked, mentally kicking herself for asking.
“Her name?” Taron replied, wanting to clarify before giving out a random name.
“No, the name of your neighbor.” Cherry answered sarcastically.
Taron finally saw the pure hurt and heartbreak in her eyes. His heart plummeted as he realized that he was hurting her.
“I can’t do this anymore. There’s no one I’d rather be with more than you. I haven’t met anyone that’s been more amazing than you. That’s made me happier than you. Cherry I’ll be damned if I don’t tell you that I want you.” Taron blurted out, shocking the both of you.
“Wha-what?” The woman questioned incredulously.
“I. Want. You.” Taron said more confidently this time.
Cherry’s jaw hit the floor. That was the last thing she was expecting but she was glad that who he was explaining didn’t exist because she honestly didn’t think she could even remotely pretend to like the girl he had his eye on.
“Am I hearing this correctly.” Cherry said with confusion.
“I’m going to kiss you now.” Taron admitted, setting his beer on the coffee table.
Cherry did the same but had hardly anytime to prepare before Taron’s lips melted with hers perfectly. It was as if they were made for each other.
The kiss was soft yet had a sense of urgency to it. It was the type of kiss that melted the world around you, making you your partner feel like the only ones in the world.
The butterflies seemed to erupt in both Cherry and Taron’s bellies as they realized that they were kissing each other for the first time.
Taron broke the kiss and watched his friend for a reaction.
“I, um. What just happened?” Cherry wondered out loud.
Taron swallowed nervously.
“We just kissed.” He replied simply.
Cherry smiled brightly sending relief through Taron’s body.
“Kiss me again, please.” Cherry whispered, essentially making Taron’s belly flip with arousal.
He leaned forward again and this time, Cherry met him halfway.
=
Laying on his bed, Taron hovered above Cherry as he thrusted into her with a force that neither of them expected.
“Stop for a second.” Cherry instructed breathlessly.
Taron stopped and looked at her with confusion.
“Why, what’s wrong?” He replied, trying to catch his breath.
“Nothing is wrong. I just want to look at you for a second.” She answered.
Her eyes took in the look of enjoyment in his eyes. Her eyes then traveled down to where they were connected and Cherry swore she felt an animal within her awaken. She needed to feel him claim her, even more than he was now. She needed teeth.
“Bite me.” She said with certainty.
Taron looked at her with amusement.
“If you insist.” He replied.
“I d-oh fuck.” She sighed contentedly.
Taron didn’t know why she needed him to bite her at first but as soon as he bit her, he understood the feeling.
He started to move again but at a more vigorous pace.
“Mmmm yes, just like that.” Cherry moaned, arching her back off the mattress.
The sound of slapping skin echoed off the walls and the smell of sex wafted through the air but the couple didn’t seem to care as they hurdled toward their orgasms.
“Oh fuck, Taron. Just like that.” Cherry moaned as she felt Taron bite her again.
“I love it when you moan my name.” Taron replied with a moan of his own.
Taron couldn’t believe that he was actually in bed with Cherry. It was both weird and wonderful at the same time. Though, he could have kicked himself for not grooming himself but then again, he didn’t think he’d be having sex tonight. He made a mental note to make sure he was tidier down there next time.
“I’m gonna cum.” Cherry screamed as she felt the knot in her belly loosen.
“Hold on baby girl. I want you to cum with me.” Taron responded.
With the clenching, Taron found himself at the very edge not long after that.
“I’m cumming.” Taron admitted and Cherry breathed a sigh of relief, letting go and finally cumming with Taron.
She could feel Taron twitching within her and it was the best feeling in the world.
Cherry held him as he growled in pleasure as he released himself into her.
“Fuck.” Taron said as he finished and relaxed into Cherry’s hold.
“That was better than I ever imagined.” She admitted.
“You imagined it?” Taron asked, feeling even more self conscience then he did before.
“How could I not? You’re fucking hot.” Cherry chuckled.
“Thanks. Now relax for me, I’m going to pull out and I don’t want to hurt you.” He said softly.
Cherry did as he asked and even though she tried to relax, it still hurt a little bit. He was big after all.
Once he had pulled out, Taron laid next to Cherry before pulling her into his arms gently.
“Thank you for tonight.” Cherry joked as her head rested on his chest and her fingers traced patterns on his belly.
“I’m sorry I lied to you. I just wanted you to be jealous and I’m sorry that it hurt you.” Taron said sincerely.
“It’s over now. Don’t worry.” She replied, looking up at him.
Taron leaned down the best he could and kissed her sweetly.
Breaking the kiss, Taron smiled warmly.
“You sure. I don’t think I’ll ever stop feeling bad for it.” He said.
Cherry moved her hand lower until it was resting just above his penis. Taron involuntarily cringed.
“What?” Cherry asked with concern as she removed her hand from where it was.
“I am usually a lot tidier than this.” He said softly, feeling insecure about it.
“Taron, I don’t care. If anything, I find it really sexy on you.” Cherry replied, making Taron blush.
“Seriously?” He answered, baffled at her honesty.
“Seriously.” She responded, resting her hand back on that spot and kissing his chest. “I love all of you.” She finished.
Taron smiled. Finally, he had found the woman of his dreams.

Blog 4 - Brian Astbury
What are the main problems with acting that Brian Astbury identifies?
A humans ‘early warning system’ (Astbury 2011 P.80) which is made up of the Amygdala, hypothalamus and hippocampus, causes one of three reactions - ‘fight, flight or freeze.’ (Abid P.81) This early warning system is identified as the initial problem with acting, he explains the process of rehearsal through a repetitive technique, showing that the natural instinct of an actor is muted and muffled once they except something to happen; example shown of the hard nearly hitting the actors face, consequently their reaction of either, flight, fight or freeze is damaged as they are expecting the hand to come and are already aware of the outcome.
The left brain works in 7s so learning chunks of information will not work as it’s an overload of information, which the left side of the brain cannot handle. Whereas on the right side, the brain can process ‘58 trillion actions in a second’ (Astbury 2011 P.84) which doesn’t balance out when working as one whole brain. In acting you're expected to process and remember information all at once, yet you're taught to repeat lines crossing over the sides of your brain, consequently proving problematic.
Translations of Stanislavski's work (Astbury 2011 p.85) by actors and tutors alike provide their own adaptations to his work and system. ‘The system is not compatible with everyone, originally designed for Russians’ (Astbury 2011 p.86), this shows that although different cultures have adopted the system to teach and embody drama and acting, the initial system and work is not always successful in areas outside of Russia as drama and acting principles differ between cultures.
Astbury also identified how within the acting industry, ‘vanity is ‘incredibly destructive’ (Astbury 2011 p.105). He noticed how this is a prolific problem with acting that can have an impact of individual success and group dynamics.
How does this resonate with problems you have experienced with acting in the past?
Processing lots of information can become overwhelming. I find that trying to learn a whole script in one go is impossible, there’s just way too much information to process at once causing your brain to go into overload.
Understanding that Stanislavski's system doesn’t always “work” for everyone . Understanding this is something that I’ve also struggled with as The system was originally designed for Russians with incredibly complex emotional scales. (Astbury 2011 p.86) No matter whether that be in college where we studied the system and different roles such as ‘magic if’ and leading with different body parts and finding actually this doesn’t help me or Inhance my skills in any way left me feeling stupid or as if I was doing something wrong.
Lastly the idea and conformity of Vanity really resonates with me. Growing up with a cousin who knew he was amazing at acting was both intimidating and a lesson. His confidence soon turned into extreme vanity where he would get hurt if he didn’t get the part he believed he deserved. This taught me to not only be patient and great full for any parts I do get, but also to see that there’s no harm in being a little confident, but once it gets past that it looks ugly no matter how beautiful you think you are; yet being confident is something I need to work on. (Astbury 2011)
A) How do you think his exercises could help you to overcome/address some of those challenges with acting that you identified in your previous answer? and B) What was your experience of working with them to prepare your monologue performance?
Astbury explored the process of learning scripts and how ‘two people doing it at the same time was not working’ (Astbury 2011 P.93). Using my previous challenges and his discovery, I plan on using scripts and prompts when learning lines and using the skill and exercise of saying and performing the line after the reader, which results in overlapping and speaking over each other, as you can hear your lines being delivered prior to them being delivered. This is also echoed in the importance of ‘who you do it with’ (abid) in terms of process and remembering lines.
A day in the life of the character is something else we explored in class. This explored myself embodying the character and using improvisation to plan out the actions of the character, this not only lets you become the character, but learn more about them on an intimate level.
Learning that there is always room for improvement, but there’s value in trying your best is a lesson I have learned from this module. Taking the positive aspects forward and applying this to my work with not only improve my attitude towards my work, but with aid my confidence in making future work.

Powers
((I post these with the caveat that none of these powers will be used to automatically impact your character without OOC discussion and consent on your part. Beasts can be OP as hell and, in the absence of dice and an impartial ST, we’ll just have to decide things together! All page numbers are from the core Beast the Primordial rulebook.))
Nature of the Beast (Innate: any Beast can do this)
Thicker than Water - Beasts have a natural affinity with all supernatural creatures. Usually this enables them to start off with positive first impressions with 'cousins', but this just a general vibe and not a guarantee. Entirely at your discretion. p. 87
Family Resemblance - Beasts can instinctively recognize one another on sight. This applies to other supernatural creatures as well unless they're hiding their presence via supernatural means. This ability is harder to use on Human+ individuals (ex: mages, mediums, ghouls) and doesn't work at all on ghosts, spirits, or other ephemeral beings. p. 88
Mother's Kiss - Callie may shed blood while speaking the name of another supernatural creature in their presence, granting them a rush of power. p. 89
Passing Resemblance - If Callie has formed a bond (Family Ties) with another creature, she can pass as that creature type to mystical perceptions. This deception can be pierced with active scrying/auspex/etc. p. 90
Family Dinner - If Callie witnesses a supernatural creature successfully hunt their prey, she gains 1 Satiety. If she watches the feeding, she gains another point. If she has Family Ties with the creature in question, the total rises to 3 Satiety. This doesn't work with willing victims such as blood dolls. p. 90
Skeleton Key - Callie can open & use any otherworldly gateway she finds by ripping it open. Alternately, she can force the gateway to open into the Primordial Dream. p. 91
Under the Bed - If a mortal is present while Callie's feeding, she can install a 'back door' into their mind as a path to her Lair. This infects them with a savage nightmare, but allows her free passage while they sleep. Once this happens, that mortal knows Callie for exactly what she is and exactly what she used them for. p. 91
Hold the Door/Be My Guest - Callie can grant someone a one-time pass into her Lair. / Callie may grant permanent access to her Lair. These cannot be supernaturally compelled invitations, but may be coerced via normal means. The invitation may be rescinded at any time. p. 92-93
The Sphinx (Innate to Callie's Horror)
Birthright of the Anakim - once per scene, she may break through any physical obstacle in a single turn. Breaking through an object that is magically or supernaturally enhanced requires expending a point of Satiety. p. 27
Cyclopean Strength - Callie can dead lift, shove, or slowly pull any object whose size does not exceed a literal fucking airliner (Her size x lair dots + 1 = 5 x 7 = 35.) At low satiety, anything she can lift, she can also throw. By spending Satiety, she becomes a juggernaut capable of hurling cars and smashing obstacles in her path, gaining automatic successes equal to her Lair dots in all strength-related actions for the remainder of the scene. p. 124
Looming Presence - Although her height and weight are unchanged, her effective size is raised by her lair dots, providing an increase in health and social reactions. Her presence is essentially equal to that of a rhinoceros. This grants bonuses to intimidation rolls. Low satiety inspires dice penalties & fear against any opponent smaller than her effective size. By spending a dot of Satiety, she can double the Size bonus... and this increased size allows for a longer stride (meaning her Speed = Strength + Dex + 15.) p. 127
Mimir's Wisdom - Grants the Eidetic Memory merit. Any mundane attempt to deceive the Beast fails. She knows when someone is lying or witholding information, knows when a crime scene has been tampered with, and can tell when supernatural powers have been used to affect her mind. Low satiety gives bonuses to mental skill rolls aimed at feeding and one damning fact about anyone she encounters. ((I will not use this particular aspect without permission from you.)) By expending a dot of Satiety, she gains her Intelligence + Lair dots in temporary Mental Skills or Library merit for the next 24 hours, as distributed by the player. p. 127
Nightmares (dreams she may inflict)
Everything You Do Is Worthless
Normal - It becomes harder to accomplish tasks to their full extent; results are never impressive, just acceptable. High Satiety - The victim's efforts in the action chosen by the Beast become lackluster, barely adequate no matter how hard they try. Satiety Expenditure - While under the effects of the nightmare, it becomes a coin flip as to whether or not every single thing the victim does will fail. The car might not steer properly. Breakfast may burn. Deadlines may be missed. Regardless of expertise, suddenly there's a very real chance they will fail at everything they attempt while under these effects. p. 135
Run Away Normal - The victim immediately tries to run away, if awake. If set to trigger while asleep, they run endlessly in their dreams as if pursued by the Devil itself. High Satiety - Callie may plant a subconscious hint that a victim should flee /to/ a specific place/person or /from/ a specific person. This becomes more difficult if the destination is overtly dangerous (like running out onto the freeway.) Satiety Expenditure - The victim's panic is so complete that they don't hesitate, even in the face of danger. They will run right into traffic, over a barbed wire fence, or right off a cliff. Despite this, they also get much faster than normal and sprint like a bat out of hell (adding 3 to their effective speed.) p. 136
The Lair (What one faces in her domain) p. 93
[Size 6] Grants +12 dots to distribute between power, finesse, resolve, and size.
[6 Chambers] [Attribute/Skill cap raised to 6] [+6 vs Supernatural effects] [+50 years life expectancy]
[Minor Traits] Maze - A literal labyrinth. p. 103 Poor Light - Penalty to all actions involving vision. p. 103 Echoing (aspect of the Apex Predator in the region) - Sounds within the lair reverberate, making it nearly impossible to sneak around. p. 102
[Major Traits] Exposed - The Beast's attack pass through any barrier between them and their prey; there is no safe space in this lair. p. 105 Disruption - Human tools, especially of the electrical variety, simply do not function in the lair. p. 105 Razored - All surfaces are covered in jagged protrusions of sharpened stone. Pushing through the sharp surfaces or falling against them inflicts 3 points of lethal damage (eg, stab wounds instead of being punched.) p. 106

Chelsea 3-0 West Bromwich Albion
This was Chelsea’s first home league win of 2018
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte praised fans for sticking by him after a comfortable win over West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge eased the pressure on the Italian.
Conte’s Chelsea future has been placed under the harshest spotlight after successive heavy losses to Bournemouth and Watford – but a victory that takes them back up to fourth in the Premier League will ease those concerns for now.
Conte’s name was sung throughout by Chelsea’s fans in an obvious show of support.
“For sure I have to thank the fans because they showed me great support,” he said after Chelsea returned to winning ways.
“They are reading speculation and rumours on me and for sure I’m grateful to the fans.
“It means they understand my passion, my will to defend this colour, this shirt, this badge.
“I have to live with this pressure until the end of the season. I don’t want this pressure to weigh on the shoulders of my players.”
Antonio Conte celebrated his first Premier League home win since 30 December
Conte needed the brilliance of Eden Hazard to settle early uncertainty on the pitch and in the stands.
Hazard exchanged passes with Olivier Giroud before giving Chelsea a first-half lead and, after Victor Moses slid home a second after the break, sealed victory with a powerful drive past Ben Foster in the 71st minute.
The win took the Blues a point ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham.
West Brom are seven points from safety after one win in 25 league games.
They were hampered by losing loan signing Daniel Sturridge to injury inside three minutes. Substitute Jay Rodriguez wasted an opportunity to put them ahead when clean through, and Salomon Rondon and Jonny Evans also missed chances with the game in the balance.
“Losing Daniel Sturridge after three minutes was a blow in itself,” said Pardew. “That was probably a bigger blow than the result tonight.
“He felt his hamstring after a 60 metre full sprint in the first moments of the game. We’ll have to nurse him.”
For Conte, however, it was a satisfying night and the pressure – temporarily at least – is off.
Conte feels Stamford Bridge’s love
Conte walked out to take his place in the technical area with his future as Chelsea manager shrouded in uncertainty.
The Italian insists he wants to see out the remainder of his contract – which runs until 2019 – and the club have not shown any inclination they want to bring his reign to an end just months after he won the Premier League in his first season.
Yet there is the assumption the clock is running down to the end of the season and the conclusion of Conte’s Chelsea career – perhaps even sooner had another poor result followed the heavy losses to Bournemouth and Watford.
This was a fixture with the capacity to be troublesome, but Conte got what he wanted – and so did Chelsea’s fans.
If supporter reaction can be used as an accurate measure, Conte retains huge backing among the fanbase.
His name echoed around Stamford Bridge inside the first minute, acknowledged politely by the Italian, and the noisy backing was repeated at regular intervals throughout a routine victory.
Chelsea fans displayed a banner in support of Antonio Conte during the game
There was certainly no shortage of touchline commitment from Conte, urging his players with actions and words throughout, boiling over at a tackle from behind on Giroud from Evans and even finding time to give substitute Alvaro Morata some very boisterous advice.
But he will know he needs to keep winning, with an FA Cup fifth-round tie at home to Hull City, a Champions League last-16 meeting with Barcelona, and a visit to top-four rivals Manchester United to come.
And Chelsea fans will know owner Roman Abramovich does not make managerial decisions based on the popular vote, rather with a ruthless, hard-headed approach that has ensured continued success.
For now, though, the mood has lifted.
Hazard lifts Chelsea gloom
Conte needed his big players to turn up to release the pressure that has been building around him. He has no bigger player than Hazard – and how the Belgian delivered.
Chelsea started nervously but it was Hazard who broke the deadlock after 25 minutes to make life a lot easier for both his manager and the home fans.
It was the result of a slick exchange with Giroud, who held his position with strength and awareness to play Hazard’s pass perfectly back into his path for an emphatic finish.
Hazard was central to everything Chelsea did, and it was another moment of magic 19 minutes from time that ended any slim hope Albion had of mounting an unlikely recovery.
Baggies keeper Foster left a large gap towards his left-hand post but Hazard showed peerless technique and power to find it with unerring accuracy for Chelsea’s third.
On a satisfying night, Conte can also be pleased with the performance of Giroud, who not only assisted Hazard’s first goal but acted as a focal point for the Chelsea attack and showed signs of early promise in his link-up with the Belgian.
Eden Hazard has scored seven Premier League goals against West Brom
Sturridge sums up West Brom’s plight
Sturridge was West Brom’s high-profile January signing, designed to provide the goals and quality they need to stay up following his arrival on loan from Liverpool.
And yet, in a scene played out with miserable regularity throughout his career, the England international was gone within minutes, and into what could be a lengthy injury lay-off.
Sturridge was involved in his first action inside three minutes, a regulation chase and tussle for possession with Cesar Azpilicueta. The result was an ominous grimace and stumble before making his way forlornly down the tunnel.
It is the latest disappointing chapter in the tale of injuries that have hounded Sturridge in recent years, his golden season alongside Luis Suarez at Liverpool just a distant memory.
West Brom did not lack spirit, but when the big opportunities came they failed to take them, with Rodriguez and Rondon the major culprits when given clear sights of goal, and Evans heading a perfect chance wide from a corner.
Manager Alan Pardew might take some encouragement from what might have been – but he needs more than that to rescue what is becoming an increasingly desperate position.
Man of the match – Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
Hazard has scored six goals in his past six league appearances. He ran the show against West Brom and capped a fine performance with two lovely goals
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte: “It was important to get three points, especially after two defeats. The two bad defeats brought our confidence down and it was important to win and score three goals and keep a clean sheet.
“To lose two games in a row in the league you feel confidence is going down. At the same time we have to try and avoid these situations and play our football.
“We have to try and face this situation and be men and overcome this situation.”
Antonio Conte: Chelsea manager praises ‘important’ win
West Bromwich Albion head coach Alan Pardew: “If we can get two or three wins in our next group of games we can put pressure on the other teams.
“When you go to a top six team who are wounded a little bit, we had a great chance to hurt them. We missed a great chance and five minutes later we were 1-0 down.
“We just couldn’t hurt them. Once they got the second goal you could see the relief in the team and the crowd.”
Alan Pardew: West Brom manager disappointed with defeat to ‘vulnerable’ Chelsea
‘Can we play you every week’ – the stats

USD/JPY losing uptrend support? – Forecast July 17-21
Dollar/yen attempted to move above the cycle high but was rejected. On its way down, it lost the uptrend line of support. The drivers were both political and monetary.
Is this the beginning of a downturn or a necessary correction on the way up?
USD/JPY fundamental movers
Donald Junior and Janet Yellen
Donald Trump Junior is in trouble for meeting with the Russians regarding damaging information about Hillary Clinton. The data has not been denied and is seen as a smoking gun. Contrary to some of the previous market reactions, this time the dollar reacted negatively.
Yellen’s prepared statement contained elevated concern about inflation, which the Fed monitors “very closely”. Her Q&A session already contained a more balanced tone. While the reaction was uneven, the dollar slipped against the yen.
In Japan, the BOJ continued buying bonds that markets sold off. The result is more yen printing. The Tokyo-based institution continues being the most dovish central bank in the developed world.
The issues around North Korea have cooled down, at least for now.
Housing data, BOJ decision
The upcoming week features housing data from the US: building permits and housing starts. Also, watch the Philly Fed Manufacturing Index. Echoes from Yellen’s testimony and the inflation report will likely reverberate.
In Japan, we have a rate decision by the BOJ. Kuroda and co. are unlikely to change their current policy of holding long-term 10-year yields to 0%. The assessment of the economy and mostly inflation will set the tone. The previous BOJ meeting did not yield volatility, but you never know.

Updates:
USD/JPY Technical Analysis
115.35 is the next line of resistance in case the pair break the cycle high of 114.30 which remains critical resistance after capping the pair back in May. The break to 114.50 did not go very far.
113.50 was a temporary line of resistance on the way up in July. 113.70 was a separator of ranges in June.
112.20 used to be important in the past. It is closely followed by 111.80, which capped the pair in May.
Looking down, 110.70 was a separator of ranges in June and remains important. 109.60 was a gap line in late April, a gap that was never closed.
In June, the pair found support several times at 109.10 and this also works as support. Further below, the cycle low of 108.10 is of high importance. Looking lower, we are back to levels seen in November, but the door is basically open to 105.
Steep Uptrend Support – broken?
The pair slipped off the steep line of uptrend support. It was probably too hard to ride the tiger. Is this a bearish sign? Or just correction and the pair will find another line to ride on?

USD/JPY Sentiment
I am bearish on USD/JPY
The pair enjoyed too much hot air and not enough substance. The balanced tone of the FED could allow for another week of falls.
