Note
I do think that if you were to ever write a book about the occult or witchcraft you should use the pen name Fool Chicken though. I want a book by someone named Fool Chicken on my occult shelf
yes, absolutely, but it will also be bound in cloth and look Extremely Serious like you're holding the fucking Dragon Tome of Essex

Hi there! My name is Jax and I use he/they pronouns. I'm a non-binary adult who is making their way through the shitshow that is America.
My interests include:
World of Warcraft RP: I play on Moon Guard (NA) and Epsilon. I am one of the leaders of the guild <Blood Cult> which can be found on both platforms. I play Father Underlight, Demetri Eel, Rolance Essex, Archelaos Redright, and others.
Dragon Age: Mostly Dragon Age 2 NGL, but I've played all of the games and read a few of the books. My blorbos are Fenris, Anders, Sebastian Vael, Merrill, Isabela, Carver, Morrigan, Loghain, Sten, Zevran, Vivienne, Flemeth, and Solas. I mostly play Dalish elves. Mage rights or mage fights.
Furbies / vintage toys. I own 3 custom furbies and a bunch more that haven't been customized yet. I have a fascination with toys from the 80's-2010's.
Digital art: I mostly draw things related to roleplay. Lots of OCs!
Queer theory/queer history: but not discourse. I really love to read books written by historical queer people to learn more about queer culture in North America. If you ask me to participate in discourse I will bite your fingers off.

My 2022 in Books
This year I read 78 books which is a step down from the last few years (all 100+) but I'm trying to read in a more purposeful, slow way, trying to savor and absorb what I read, which is definitely a challenge since I've always been a very speedy reader.
There's a complete list below the cut of all the books, but here were my absolute favorites of this year:
Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom - Leigh Bardugo
The Miniaturist - Jessie Burton

Here be dragons.
For the last nine months my work has been increasingly focused on the Dragon, with the structure being formed primarily by The Dragon Book of Essex by Andrew Chumbley.  I’ve followed a path that has been very loosely inspired by the ‘sabbatical current for somewhere near a decade now, with the figures of Azra Lumial and Qayin being central to my work by operating as core entity structures around…

The Book of Q’Ab-iTz
David S. Herrerias
The Book of Q'Ab-iTz  brings an altogether different feel to Andrew Chumbleys’ Dragon Book of Essex. Written principally in Spanish the book will be comprised of two versions, one in David’s native tongue and one translated into English. Among these most enchanted pages we find the artistic descendant to Austin Osman Spare, for David’s work truly captures and then transcends the spirit of Spare and Chumbley. What we then have with The Book of Q'Ab-iTz is the contemporary expression of the ophidian current as captured by a dedicated practitioner. As a consequence, this work not only brings further insight to manifesting the crooked path, but stands alone as a superlative manifestation of the Dragons’ Column for which the Dragon Book of Essex was first designed.
David S. Herrerias is a self-taught artist involved in occultism and alchemy born in Mexico city in 1982. Part of his work approach is to enter consciously in communication with higher spheres through an inner alchemical process in order manifest them in some of his works, yet, he is still working in this process. David´s work has been exhibited in Murmurs from Beyond the Grave in L.A. in 2014. Some of his paintings and drawings have also been featured in music releases as album covers and illustrations, and two of his automatic drawings were released together with the Swedish debut poem ‘Pakt’ by Avgrund publishers. He also done work that has been featured in Clavis and has worked with Three Hands Press in recent years. He moved to Sweden in the winter of 2006 and he currently lives and studies in Gothenburg.
